Attempt At Cutting My Own Hair + Skincare Routine

Rob Lipsett cuts his own hair into a high-and-tight with a slight mohawk to save time and money, then shows his minimal skincare routine: shower, gel, and coconut oil on dry patches. He keeps grooming practical rather than obsessive.

Look at that trap! Alright guys, so despite what you may think, I'm actually not that into my appearance, and a lot of time I don't really care how I look. You may think, you know, because I'm into the gym, you know, I'm always trying to improve my physique, that I'm real vain and stuff, but I actually don't really care. And so before I get my hair cut, I always try do it myself because my hair grows so fast, and like I said, I don't really care, so Hopefully the boys in Cut and Sew don't kill me for this, but I decided I'd just record it this time and see how it goes. So this is a Blade 1, and I want to kind of high and tight, maybe up, just shave up around there. So yeah, let's see how this goes because I love going into the gym with tied hair on the sides. I just love the feeling of it. It feels kind of like sharp and you just feel fresh. So I'm about to hop in the shower now. No, I'm not wearing pants. Let's give it a go. Getting there. Go a bit higher up though, kind of like, kind of almost like a mohawk. Oh, let me turn on lights. You can see a little bit better. Oh, there's a big patch there. Patch Adams. I've actually— I actually do this quite often, or I get my friend Jordan to cut my hair. Pretty good. Especially when I'm on holidays. It's like, just get one of the lads to do it, you know? It's like, no matter what, you always look good with a tan. And sometimes when you got a fucked up haircut, like, birds like that. They're like, oh, this guy's crazy, he doesn't give a shit. So far we are just gone 6 minutes on the clock, so saving time and money. Pretty long on the top. I can't do the top myself, but yeah, I think I'm pretty much done. So now to shower and then put some product in it, see how it turned out. Time to hit the shower. Also, because I know I'm gonna get asked, these are the two gels or clays, whatever you wanna call it. That I used the two products. Alright, so taking it outside as natural light is probably the best to give you a clear look at how it turned out. So yeah, there it is. I usually push the front kind of to the side, comb it over a little bit, and yeah. So yeah, barbers watching this are probably like, oh my God, that's terrible. But like, like I said, I kind of enjoy doing it. I love having a tight haircut on the side, especially before I go to gym. But like, maybe in a few days I'll go into like, you know, Cut and Sew or something, get get done properly, but I was like just giving it a bash myself. And also, I know I'm gonna get asked this, uh, some people are like, what products do I use on my skin? How do I get clear skin? Literally the only thing I use is coconut oil. I get like dry skin on my shoulders and arms, I just put coconut oil on. I just had a shave there, afterwards I just use coconut oil. I'm not sure if that's like a good thing or a bad thing, it's just what I do. But, um, and it feels, feels really nice. So yeah, I hope you enjoyed this video, kind of like a bit of a change from like training and dieting. Just kind of recorded for the laugh. But anyways, the next video is going to be a Q&A, so if you want to ask a question, either go onto my Instagram or my Facebook page, or even write one down below and I can read from it. Catch you next time. Keep it real. I think that's a tidy barnet.
