Behind The Scenes Of Instagram

Rob Lipsett walks through a day as a fitness entrepreneur in Dublin, from protein pancakes and email to gym sessions and building his LF Gymwear brand. He reviews sample tracksuits, shows how he shoots Instagram product photos for gym clothes, and taste-tests protein bars against regular Snickers.

Zoom out a little bit there. Oh, wake up! What's up everyone, welcome to today's video. So it was— it is a beautiful day in Dublin. It's been raining the last couple of days and I don't know why, but the sun just puts me in the mood to vlog. So sit back, relax, enjoy the video, give it a like, and let's see what I get up to today. Alright, so first meal of the day is not gonna be waffles. I'm actually gonna make pancakes today. I know, blasphemy. I'm using the protein muffin mix from Myprotein. Go for the protein pancake mix instead. This one's not bad, the pancake mix is just better. And of course, discount codes and links in the description box. I'm probably going to have a whole egg with this as well. Look at that. They're like proud soldiers just waiting to be flipped and eaten. What the fuck am I saying? All right, so those fellas look like they are ready to be flipped. Let's see if I can do one hand. All right, so this is what we're working with for breakfast. And honestly, having the egg with the pancakes, it's kind of like sweet and savory. It sounds kind of weird, but it's really good. Give it a shot. It's also good with waffles. So every morning, you probably know, I get up and I go on my laptop straight away to check my emails and stuff like that, because I feel— every morning I feel like a kid on Christmas. I'm like, what emails am I gonna get today? You know, what opportunities, what offers, what am I gonna do? But anyway, so that's all done. Uh, I of course write a plan every single day, plan the week as well. So that's done. And now let me show you what I'm doing. So fun time, kind of like the fun easy things first. When I was in America for the YouTubers Retreat, I bought an outfit and basically I just ended up going for something else, wearing something different. So I returned it. I got it in Forever 21. They gave me store credit instead, but you can use it online, so it's not too bad. So I'll show you what I'm getting here. I'm getting like this kind of hooded pullover tee, some distressed slim fit jeans, they're like khaki color, and these really cool tracksuit bottoms. The Problem with online shopping is like you just don't know if it's actually gonna fit. Like, yo, this dude, I think he could do with some squats or something, maybe some leg extensions. I'm hoping to God these fit me. Next thing I want to show you is what my new website is looking like at the moment. All right, so here is a draft for my new website. I think it looks pretty clean. I like the kind of color scheme they went for. Probably need to change a few images. But yeah, that's gonna be a place for LF Gymwear and so on, so forth. But yeah, I think it looks pretty good so far. One thing I really want as well, 'cause I had a blog section on my old website, or I have, and basically like I never updated. Like I'm a vlogger, not a blogger, you know? I don't have time to make YouTube videos, you know, post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and everything, and run a blog on top of that. So instead of a blog section on this website, I want an article section where I just post the kind of like most frequently asked kind of questions training nutrition-wise that I see people get mixed up over. So it's going to be like a bit of a resource center, like people can always be like, look, go here and this, this article section will cover the basics. Or another option is I'm thinking if I do have a blog, I could get guest writers. So like, you know, my website gets a lot of hits per month. So if you're a personal trainer and online coach trying to or YouTuber trying to make a name for themselves, you can come on, write a blog for my website, and of course you'll get a lot of traffic your way. So let me know what you think about that. Now I'm just doing my usual Kerrigan's order, so the Lipsett Fitness turkey burger, of course, and I'm also getting some lean bacon, fillet steaks, minced lamb, chicken fillets, the usual stuff. So the discount code and the links to this website are in the description box. Alright, so I am just finishing up some work here before I head off to the gym. Now I'm not gonna lie, the reason why sometimes I don't vlog some days is because I spend a lot of time at my desk on my laptop. For example, here I'm looking at some samples my manufacturer sent me of tracksuit bottoms for LF Gymwear because, you know, summer's coming to an end, so I'm thinking of making like tracksuits, hoodies, and some darker colors. So these, you probably can't see that, they're like panels there and these are kind of like a more slim fit solid version. So I'm thinking of making them in gray and either the ones with the panels and asking for them to be more slim fitted, or just going for those ones because I think that fit is alright. But yeah, you gotta get them to send you— send you them first. I'm gonna finish up here, a couple of emails, and I'm heading off to the gym. Some pull day, back, biceps, traps. Also, you probably notice I just show like the odd raw clips because, you know, I put my full routine on the channel before, and you you can search out my LPP routine. And also, I don't like to try and do an edit because, you know, once you've had an edit but done by people like Javon or Michael Gray, someone I've had on this channel before, you just seem like so crap doing it yourself. So I just prefer to just keep casual with some raw footage. Today's pre-workout is going to be some Grade A Colombian. There you go. I'm having this off. All right, taste test. Taste test. Tastes exactly like steak. Really? It's a video behind the scenes of Instagram. Yeah, so this is behind the scenes of Instagram. Um, basically, um, like, you know, gym clothing companies or like any brand companies will like, you know, send you products and like you have to kind kind of do the photoshoot yourself, and you obviously want your Instagram to look nice. You know, I guess that's kind of normal. You want to put up nice pictures, right? So— Whee! And it's kind of fun. I should be a photographer. Alright, so as you just saw there, me and Sarah, we tried out those Snickers protein bars. That was not like product placement or anything. We just wanted to try them out because we're curious, and I thought I would talk about the topic: are protein bars legit? Because you often hear people say like, "Oh, they're full of crap." So when we were in the shop there, we picked up like a normal Snickers and the Snickers protein. We like compared the ingredients and nutritional value, the macros and stuff like that. And you know, basically it's the same size, it's 50 calories less than a normal Snickers bar. It obviously has like a good hit of protein in it. And then normal protein bars in general, if you're comparing them to like a normal chocolate bar, most of them have like tons of fiber in them. Some even have added vitamins and minerals. And at this stage, I don't know if it's like technology or something, something, but protein bars, like, they taste amazing now. I remember a couple of years back protein bars were like eating chalk covered in, like, poo, and it's— but now they taste awesome. So I think they are a good alternative if you want a chocolate bar, and if a protein bar helps you adhere to your diet in the long term, then yes, I think they are legit, and I think that's what they're kind of made for. Also, courier just rolled up outside, gave me a call, and they dropped me in some of these. It's like an Irish startup company, I think. Protein Greek yogurt. They probably know I'm a fan. Right, people, so I'm just gonna finish up today's video here, and I want to give a big shout out to Amanda Bucci, who just crossed over 100K subs, and I myself just hit 75K today. So you know what I always say, right? There are two types of people in this world. There's one type that'll see people doing well and they'll get jealous and they'll hate on it. And then the other type, they'll see people doing well and they'll draw inspiration from it and they'll get motivated. So now I'm on the hunt for that 100K. Let's do it. I'm out here. Good night. Keep it real.
