Okay people, so final workout, final day in LA. Our flight is at like 5 PM. I'm whispering just because I'm outside Amanda's. Everyone else is asleep. It's like first thing in the morning and I'm getting one last collab in. We basically organized this yesterday evening and we're just like, hey, want to collab? Sure thing. So the person I'm collabing with is just about to pick me up now. Uh, you guys have mentioned them in the comment section, so yeah, it's gonna be interesting. I didn't know you drove this.
I was just saying that the way you were running is so handsome.
Thank you, I try. Okay, so this is Brendan saying— no, just say University of what? Dublin. Dublin. I, I don't know if he's taking the piss out of me. Dublin.
Dublin.
Yeah, yeah. The heck?
I thought you had an accent.
All right guys, welcome to today's collab. So you may have guessed it, we are with— look at this guy going, going 90 here. We are with the Brendan Myers. We literally like, we met each other yesterday outside in Gym. Dude, we cannot leave. Yeah, we're just like—
without filming something, there was a connection.
It was like, yeah, so we're just like, yo, let's do it. And this is my last day, my flight is in like, you know, it's this evening. So we're like, okay, let's get up and let's do this collab. So I'm absolutely pumped and really excited to see what we do here.
Money! So how'd you feel about that?
Feeling good. I think the weights are lighter here than they are in Ireland. Box squats, 3 muscle-ups. lifting heavy.
You're not a bro, that's just a person.
Yeah, yeah, in a good way. But yeah, so I'm getting some heavy leg press in, um, this leg press, it's like— do you know when you have a good leg press and a bad leg press? This is a good one. All right, so again, come up, not high enough. So get— there you go.
Try and pause it at the top, at that position. Is it hard?
Do one more.
No, no, one more, one more, one more. We need one more.
Put your—
put your— the top of your foot down on the ground.
So, so yeah, like that.
Put this down here, okay? And you want to explode like you're going to do a vertical jump, that you're going to jump as high as possible. Jump a little bit out as well. That will help you.
See that?
Feels a little bit better.
All right, Batman time. Let's go. My favorite leg machine in existence. Raw Gym, if you're watching this, please get one. It is like, I think it's called the face squat or the squat press or something, but either way, I just love it and it's just, I get the best contraction on it. So check it out. Here we go, here we go. Alright people, so we've done all our main kind of leg shit and now we're just like chilling out here like two cardio bunnies just sitting on the mats having a conversation. I think the gym should be a social thing personally, like once you get your work done, like it's good to like meet new people and stuff. But we're gonna do some ab work, some core. This man's gonna take me through it. Gonna try something different. Yeah, I probably need to twist a little bit. Is that good? You good? We'll see. All right, we're going. Let's go this way.
Okay, yeah, do the hair, do the hair thing.
It's so important. Yes. All right guys, so workout complete. And you know, I need to start interviewing people more and like getting to showcase other people on my channel. So this is Brendan. Can you please tell—
I'm super rich and famous and I put gum in in my gas receipt wrappers. Oh no, this is all of the houses that I buy.
Yeah, it ain't no thing. Alright, so tell the people what you're about, what your channel's about.
Yeah, so I, uh, my whole channel's around, I do bodyweight training, I lift heavy, I try and be as extreme as possible, I try to have as much fun as possible. So I started off with ab workouts and things of that nature, my own philosophy behind it, like that 5-minute quick ab workout that we did.
Yeah.
Crazy hard. Right? Yeah. And I formed everything around that idea. And just with my exercise physiology degree, I went to Florida Atlantic University.
Oh nice.
So I have that, and I used everything that I've learned and playing college football and all these cool things, translating into crazy extreme workouts that are just freaking fun, man.
Degree, college football, extreme ab workouts. So you're pretty much the world's biggest joke.
Yeah, basically I'm the biggest bro on YouTube.
Yeah. And now you've got a Facebook following of 1.5 million, half 1 million on Instagram, 600,000, um, YouTube subscribers or something. So tell me, um, my people always want to know, you know, how to build their own brand. Like, how did you go about it? What was like a key driver?
I would say being unique but also consistent. On Facebook, I grew a million in 6 months. Wow. And that was when I was brand new to it. And I have like a whole system, I have a whole network of people that I work with that can build followings for people. And it's all about that consistency. Like, I used to post every 3 hours for a year and a half on Facebook, and that's how I grew so quickly on there. And then on Instagram, you know, you just have to make creative content, be unique, be yourself.
Yeah, you were the guy that like— you were like the Jack Pullup guy that I'd see like viral videos.
Yeah, doing like crazy shit.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So that's what it's all about. It's about being yourself, but also just like putting your twist on it. Yeah, yeah, putting your twist on it. Also relatable. You have to be relatable to you. You're the most important person to us when it comes down to making videos. What are we gonna release? What are we gonna title the video? What are we gonna tag? You're the most important person. When we learn how to give to you, that's when the following really comes. I have a question for you. Okay, what is the most important thing that you offer to your family here on YouTube? Like, what do you present or give to your family the most?
That's like, that's like the best question. It's like a perfect question because that's what it's all about. Like, I always tell people to like watch and take in in things that are going to benefit them. So I'm big on productivity, positive lifestyle, positive mindset, open mindset. So I want people to watch my videos, finish watching them, and just be like, I'm gonna do that thing I've been meaning to do for a long time. I'm good. That's gonna improve my day. Let's put me in a better mood. I'm going to take some steps to improve my lifestyle, whatever it is. Because like, yeah, it's a fitness channel, but I don't want it to be pigeonholed into that. I, I want to get everyone to just improve their life. And I do, I get sent So many transformations, like every day, people saying, you know, this is the shape I got in, and yeah, it started in the gym, but now I'm more confident, you know, I'm going to do whatever they want to do, whatever the hell I want.
That's what I love about Rob, and you guys are following somebody that like is extremely positive. He's always smiling, he's always giving as much information as he can to you. And I would say out of everyone, you know, definitely you're at the top of your game where you're like, the way you present yourself So dude, this is a good workout. It was a good workout. It was good hanging out with you. Yeah, when I come to Dublin— no, I'm kidding, Dublin.
When I come to Dublin, he's not kidding. He legit thought it was Dublin.
Yeah, no, but when I do come out there, I'll for sure make sure that we have like a little meetup. We work out. Maybe we go to Germany. Are you gonna go to FIBO?
I think so. Yeah, yeah, I think so. Yeah, are you going?
I'm gonna try.
Okay, sweet.
I want to go to FIBO. I want to go to— what's the, uh, what's the fit expo in the UK?
Oh, BodyPower. Oh, that's my shit. Yeah, they're like my Oh yeah, yeah, like a lot of my subs are Ireland, UK.
Oh really?
Body Power is my shit.
Oh, that'd be so fun.
Yeah, yeah, please come. But here, dude, brother, absolute pleasure.
So fun.
Okay, so like I said, my last day in LA, it's gonna be a productive one. So on top of that collab I just did, we are also getting a podcast on for Booty Radio. I like the guests she's had on it so far, like I'm just flattered to be here. Comes out and when?
Like should be around, uh, yours should come out in February.
Okay, so yeah, next couple of months. I can't wait to see how the whole thing goes. I was getting nervous.
Okay.
All right guys, welcome back to another episode of Gucci Radio. Today's guest, we have Mr. Rob Lipsett. How are you?
Thank you so much for having me on. I am great, and this just wraps up my trip to LA perfectly.
Why don't you go ahead and give us like a little Cliff Notes about how you got started into fitness in general? We'll talk about business later, but Fitness, start, career, uh, your background with that.
Okay, um, it's real like kind of like there's a lot of— there's a lot. It's like there's a lot when this was happening, then this is happening. So yeah, okay, we got some time. That's why I love a podcast, by the way. It is just like so in-depth and just a great conversation. So we are going to start in school. We're going to start with 12-year-old Rob.
Oh, this is way back.
Yeah, oh, we're leaving no stone unturned. Okay, so that concludes my LA trip, and we just went down to Ralph's, me and Sarah. We had to come back with a little treat for these guys. So we got a gift card to the grocery store, keys to people's heart is food, uh, flowers, and some French toast crunch. But Karen and Amanda, like, I can't even put into words how good they were to us. Like, they literally made our trip— like, but as weird as it sounds, one of the best parts of my trip was literally sitting on that couch chilling out in this kitchen with these guys. And yeah, the book bag couch. But here, that Such a good way to conclude this trip. I'll see you back in Dublin. Thank you so much for watching. Keep it real.
