In this short, conversational video Rob Lipsett answers a frequent viewer question: should you take creatine while cutting? He explains that creatine is a low‑cost supplement with solid evidence for increasing strength and work capacity, making it especially valuable during a calorie‑restricted cut when performance can dip. The primary goal of a cut—preserving muscle and strength while losing fat—can be supported by creatine, which may even aid fat loss by enabling heavier lifts and higher daily calorie expenditure. Creatine does not impede fat loss unless it’s consumed in a calorie‑laden blend (e.g., sugary “hardcore” formulas). Regarding water retention, creatine stores water inside muscle cells, giving a fuller, more pumped look without making the body look bloated or less defined. Lipsett advises using pure creatine monohydrate, timing it around workouts, and avoiding mixes with excess sugars or fillers. He wraps up with a brief note about his posting schedule and asks viewers for feedback on his new intro.

What is going on everyone? Right, so quick video, okay? This is just a little small video to keep things going. Not every video can be as epic as the last, but I've been getting this question a bit too often, and that is, hey Rob, should I take creatine when I'm on a cut? So without further ado, let's roll the intro. Rob, that intro was the same shit in white. Whatever. Anyways, to To the question, creatine on a cut. People be mailing me, right? And they're like, "Hey, bro. I'm on the creatines." Yeah, man. The creatines. You better not tell anyone. Alright, well, first off, creatine is some pretty basic shit. Some people are non-responders from creatine. Don't even see any results. But, you know, that said, there is some sound evidence behind it that it does help you bang out more weight for more reps. For most people. So, you know, it's a very cheap supplement and it's got evidence behind it, so it's good. It's definitely Lip Approved. So now let's just straight up answer the question: should you take creatine on a cut? The answer is absolutely. It's probably the best time you can take creatine because think about it, when you're on a bulk, okay, you've a lot of extra energy, a lot of carbs, a lot of fats in you, you know, you're fueling your workouts, you're always full, you're making strength gains, you're setting PRs. And then when you're on a cut, you know, you may have those days where you feel a bit weak, a bit tired. So now would be a good time to add in things like pre-workouts and creatines to give you that little edge. Furthermore, what is the number one goal on a cut? When you begin a cut, you should say, okay, my number one goal is to retain muscle strength and gym performance while losing fat. That is, that is the number one goal when you're getting cut. Will creatine help you do that? Yes, it will. So again, creatine on a cut is definitely a a good thing. Will it hinder fat loss? Not at all. You can actually say the opposite, that it can help fat loss, because if you're stronger, if you're banging out more weight for more reps, you're going to burn more calories. So it's actually going to help fat loss. And if you hold on to more muscle, the more muscle you have, the more calories you are going to burn throughout the day. The more calories you're going to burn just standing there. You can actually say the opposite, that creatine will help your cut. The only thing that will hinder fat loss is if maybe you take a creatine mix like that they're Cell-Tech hardcore and has loads of calories and sugars and fillers mixed in, so that could be screwing up your caloric intake. That's the only way any type of creatine is going to stop fat loss. And another thing that people get hung up on is water weight. Will creatine make me bloated? Will creatine make me hold water? The answer is yes and no. Creatine will hold water in your muscles, so it's going to make you look full and pumped. It's going to make you look better. It's not going to make you look less toned or ripped or whatever you want to call it. I'm going to take creatine right up into my show day. So that's all I got for today. You know, it was just a little short video to keep things going. I want to get about 2 to 3 videos up a week, and also threw in some cutting tips there too. And I got a new intro, so comment down below what you think of the new intro and if you like this video. Keep it real, I'm out of here. Peace!
