Day In The Life (Marbella Vlog)

Freddy arrives in Marbella from Dublin and documents his first full day: macro-tracked breakfast, finding a gym through contact Declan Gearty at Macklin's Gym Marbella, and reviewing his No-Xplode pre-workout and Syntha-6 protein shake. He reflects on why Marbella appeals to him and sticks to his training routine even on holiday.

Traveling essentials: Quest Bars, podcasts. See you in Spain. Okay, well, the train is this way, so we better get going. Such a good feeling coming from a cold, miserable country into the sun. I just made it to get the bus now to the apartment and see you there. So I haven't been online in about 24 hours. Open up my laptop and I'm just like— So, well, the work don't stop. But I'm just going to get everything done now. And you know, it's like, you know, it's 9 in the morning. So just get everything out of the way, then enjoy the rest of my day. What is going on everyone? So just woke up. I think just gonna do a full day, day in the life, because, uh, you know, the first day we were kind of traveling and we just went to bed so early because we didn't sleep the night before and we were just so tired. Second day we're kind of settling in. So third day, you know, we're all settled in, got the groceries and everything. So, uh, I'm just going to record the whole day. But anyways, um, give the physique an old check. But, uh, just going to cook a bit of breakfast, just the usual stuff. Like, people always think just cuz you're on holidays, you know, your eating just goes to shit. But, uh, I'm just still having just like what I have at home, the usual ground diced up beef and some veg and maybe some potatoes as well. I forgot my scales, but you know, no worries. As I've often said before, you know, I really, I really recommend tracking macros to understand food portions, which I'm very good at now. Like, that is about 150 grams of diced beef. Ideally, I think the perfect way to mastering your diet is track macros for, like, extensively for, you know, a few weeks. Then just start tracking all the main things, like, you know, heavy carb sources or, you know, protein. So, like, you know, meat, rice, and you don't track everything. And then, you know, slowly taper off until you don't even need to track anything because you just know your food so well. And, you know, ideally I think that is the best way to mastering your diet, just getting sick at your diet. But if I find a scale for cheap out here, I'll probably buy it. But like, I looked at one yesterday, it was like £30, and I was like, okay, I don't need it that bad, you know. Everything's still going fine. So gonna throw this all in the pan anyways and get started on the day. Alright, so I just finished emails for the day. I have to say, you know, not a bad place to, you know, get some work done. And I'm also so happy to be in the position that, you know, I can work wherever there's Wi-Fi. But anyway, so got that out of the way. Today, the gym I went to yesterday is actually closed today. It's some Spanish holiday. I think they're having an International Lion. But so we're gonna go look for another gym to train in and just generally go about today, have a bit of fun. So I'll take you with me. Haircut is on the list today. Starting to get that Jimmy Neutron look. But so anyways, right, I sorted out a gym. Yesterday I went to that Plaza Gym, but you know, as I was saying, it's closed for the next 2 days. So I joined Macklin's Gym Marbella, MGM. It's a boxing gym and it's actually— you're usually meant to go for like an interview to be able to join there, but I actually know one of the pros who trains there, Declan Gearty, he's Irish, and so they let me train there for the week. Thank God, it's literally like right beside my apartment. And so because it's quite an exclusive gym, I doubt I'm going to be able to get any training footage there. Because, you know, it could look like I'm recording one of the pros' sessions. But maybe I'll get a quick glimpse of it for you. But anyways, I'm just about to get in some pre-workout here. The folks at T&P Nutrition, you know, I said to them when I was going away, I was like, "Hey, do you guys have any sachets that I can just throw in my bag because I don't want a tub to take up all the space?" And they actually gave me this. It's pretty large, you know. But they fit in my bag, no problem. So I'm gonna have a bit of No-Xplode now. In for a BSN. But yes, I'm gonna get this into me now, and I'll see if I can get any footage from the gym, 'cause it is a really cool gym. Look at them boobies. All kinds of titty action. All kinds. I gotta say, right, I would actually really like to live out here. Like, you know, that apartment, it's like real nice and small and clean, got everything I need. And you know, there's really good shopping centers right here, and like not just shopping for clothes but shopping for food. There's a choice of gyms, and obviously the nightlife is very good. And you know, it took me like 5 hours, you know, total traveling time, like from the moment I left, I drove to the airport to the moment I got to the apartment. Took me like 5 hours from Dublin to Marbella. So like, you know, it's really not far away. So this is definitely somewhere that I'd move out to. That's where I used to record, actually, by the way. Great workout. Such a good gym. Even though it's a boxing gym, has all the essentials I need. Every, you know, kind of bodybuilding sort of equipment, you know, pec deck, cable flies, everything. So now, go home, probably grab something to eat, then hit the pool with the girlfriend and see what we get up to today. So just back from the gym. I'm gonna have some protein oats. Oh, I'm shoulder striations. But, um, also a tip when you're trying to like track without a scale, just, um, overestimate. So if you're cutting, and underestimate if you're bulking. But so like I'm putting what looks like 50 grams of oats in here. I'm just gonna estimate it as 60 grams, and I'm just gonna put some boiling water in there and some Syntha-6. A review of the No-Xplode, taste 10 out of 10. Green apple tastes like a kind of Monster, especially with ice. So great taste, but I didn't really feel, you know, I felt the boost, but I didn't really feel much. And I'm kind of disappointed because I haven't had pre-workout in a couple of days. Might double scoop that bitch next time. And then a review of the Syntha-6, tastes great, but like the macros in it per scoop, it's got like 6 grams of fat, 8 grams of carbs, and 22 grams of protein. So not great. And I think BSN know that because they have to bring out a Syntha-6 isolate, which is good, but you know, why wouldn't they just do that in the first place? But anyways, so I'm gonna make my protein notes now and hit the pool. Oh, get inside me now. I've been at the gym all day. Sarah has just been lying in the sun. Hello! So this is the setup for today of post-workout relaxation, but, um, we're just gonna lie here. There's like a couple of pools, go swimming and, uh, catch some sun. Um, so we're just having a little walk around the complex. Um, there's like a load of pools, so it's kind of nice to stretch the legs. I swear to God, out here I am gonna make some gym progress because my stress levels are just so low. I'm sleeping like 10 hours a night, um, and I'm just pretty carefree and obviously the sun and everything. Stress is just a huge factor of why people can't make any progress. If you're too stressed, it's just not gonna happen. Look at this, I'm eating asparagus on holiday. The dedication is real. So yeah, we're gonna take it easy tonight anyways, you know, go down, get a DVD or something, get something to eat and bring it back here. That's essentially what I'm here to do. I'm here to eat, train, sleep, take it easy, and get a bit of sun. Anyways, thanks for watching. Let me know what you want to see. I'm probably going to get another 1 or 2 vlogs out here, so I'll catch you next time. Keep it real. I'm Freddy's though.
