Do Physique Guys Train Legs ? (Vlog #12)

Rob Lipsett trains legs three weeks before the Oribbf competition, pushing full-range movements and donkey calf raises over shallow reps. He logs his meals, credits Steve Cook's "last set, best set" approach, and shares his mindset on aggressive training and macro adherence.

What is going on everyone? So I got myself like a little attachment for the car, so now I can do videos while I'm driving, which is actually very handy and it's a good way to pass the time. But so just on my way up to TNT Gym to train with some friends, train legs, and right now we are exactly 3 weeks out and you know, I am getting a bit tired and stuff like that, but I'm just so fucking pumped. All my sessions are just so aggressive. And I'm not even getting cravings or anything anymore. I'm just like, I gotta stick to the macros, I can't go over. It's not even a question. So things are going well right now. And every session I'm just looking forward to. I'm so pumped every time. So anything else that's been going on in my life, still trying to sort out these t-shirts. Stress of that. It's because I'm trying to get them so perfect, and I also have to register for the actual competition today, the Oribbf. The actual stress of that, I have to print out something, put a— it's like €50 to register, such bullshit. But I'm like, you know, I'm more actually shredding down for BodyPower than I am for this competition. The timing of them is just very handy. They're like— BodyPower is like a week after. But yeah, so I'll see you up in the gym anyways. Should be a good session.
Beautiful, lovely day, tubes on, ready to go fucking smash it. Let's go, come on!
Easy, easy.
Up, up, come on, push up, up, up!
Rocking that Lycra again, I swear to God, feels like I'm wearing nothing at all. That's right, Flanders. Oh man, Pior! Easy, that Angus!
Easy!
And look what he's got on, the BBC brah, link in the description, rocking that LF beater boy!
Yeah! Yeah! Woo! A little bit more weight—
Last set, best set, as the man Steve Cook says himself.
Easy, let's go, Liv, come on! 3 weeks, let's go! Oh, easy, come on! 2 more, let's go, come on! 1, squeeze!
One thing I hate, right, is when people are doing leg press and they do these little baby reps and they grunt as if it's the biggest rep of their life. I personally, I, my quads touch my stomach, as you see. I, I get a full range of motion on all my lifts. Um, I think you're only fooling yourself if you're not For those that, um, you know, they don't have a calf machine in their gym or they just don't like seated calf raises, try donkey raises.
I absolutely love them.
Too bad the legs won't be on show.
Yeah, absolutely lovely day.
So mild. Um, my camera ran out of battery there, so I'm gonna be— if I'm vlogging today, gonna be doing it on my phone, just like back in the old days when the channel started. But, uh, it's not too bad. Bear with me anyways. But, um, time to get on with the rest of the day. Also gonna treat myself to an old Quest Bar. Absolutely addicted. Comment down below, what's your favorite flavor Quest Bar? So I just saw an Alsatian there being taken for a walk. I am absolutely obsessed with them. They're such nice dogs. Alsatians or huskies or any dog that looks like a wolf, oh, I just love them. All right, so just back from the gym and I'm gonna have some chicken and potatoes. Uh, 155 grams of chicken breast, and I always keep a big tub of seasoned chicken breast. I'm gonna chop up some veg and I'm also gonna get some potatoes into me because you know me, there is a continuous supply of potatoes in my house. Us Irish people, if we don't get a certain amount of potatoes in every day, we get sick and die. So yeah, I'm gonna cook this up now, I'll show you when it's done. Alright, so I ended up just cutting that potato in half and seasoning it and baking it with the chicken. And a tip for anyone who hates cleaning up, which I do at this stage, is use them poverty paper plates. Eat your dinner and then just throw it in the bin. It is actually pretty delightful. Anyways, I'm gonna eat this now, probably put some cottage cheese on it, and I'll see you in the next clip. Alright, so next up we got the usual protein oats. Can't live without them. It's just oats with a scoop of protein thrown in at the end. And also, I got sent these things from an Irish company called Wildson, and they basically do like nuts, nut butters and stuff. So that's just a big bag of nuts, and got the macros there. And they come with this little tube as well. So I'm gonna pop in 14 grams, 15, whatever. And so yeah, go check them out. I always like to support Irish companies, um, so pretty cool what they're doing. And that looks pretty damn good. All right, so this is slowly turning into a full day of eating. Anyways, I'm gonna have potatoes.
See that.
Gonna have like potatoes and some egg whites. I bought this like big thing of egg whites, it's like 5 kg, in this place called Courtney's. There's a good few of them around Dublin. It's like the cheapest place I've found where you can get like, um, meat and eggs and milk and stuff. So I use this thing to just keep filling it up because it has the measurements on it. But, uh, so I'm gonna fill this up and make myself a bit of an omelette. Mmm, delicious. No, I'm not serious. Look at that. It's like a pizza, just not as fun and enjoyable. Alright, so after that meal, I pretty much just like had a nap, fell asleep, and then answered a few emails. So, you know, that was my day. Pretty sure you don't need to see me vlog that. But anyways, I'm gonna wrap things up there. I hope you enjoyed the training clips and a few meals. And, um, just this little vlog to keep things going. But there's a few big things coming up, so stay tuned for that. As always, I really appreciate anyone who watches these. Keep it real, and thanks for tuning in.
