What's going on, everyone? Welcome to today's video. It is my last day in California. Okay, I just spent the weekend in Palm Springs. It was absolutely amazing, but we're back here in Venice Beach, okay? And in this vlog, there are 3 things I want to do today, okay? 1, I want to hit a big workout in Gold's Gym. 2, I want to do a meetup for all my LA followers, especially those around Venice, Santa Monica. So we're going to do that down on the beach at 6:30 PM. And then I need to crush an In-N-Out, okay? I need to crush an In-N-Out. I haven't got an In-N-Out on this LA trip. That's what's going to be going down in today's vlog. Give the video a thumbs up and let's get into it. Alright, here we go. No luck, okay? They often say life is short. What I say is not only life's short, but Jon's even shorter. 20s. You're on a deadline. And you're gonna die, okay? So you really need to capitalize on that time. You know, everyone's got that thing that they love to do. I just firmly believe that, okay? So once you find out what that is, you figure it out, you start honing in on your craft, start perfecting it, well then, you know, you're gonna be very fulfilled, you're gonna enjoy life, and you're gonna really positively impact other people.
What is that for you? Like, what is— What is the Rob Lipsett vision? We know we talked about your dream of being number one fitness in the world, but like, what is that personal drive, that personal why that shines through? And no matter what the platform.
Yeah, I, I just love actually connecting with people all over the world, like, be it in person or online. It just hypes me up. Like, yesterday I was in Gold's Gym, some guy from the UK and another guy from Germany came up to me and they were like, oh, Robbie, I love your videos, let's get a picture. And I was just like, Thank you so much. I was like, that's so insane.
Such a polite lad.
Like, you know, but I was like, I'm in California and like Germans and English people, like that's worldwide. Like, it just blows my mind and it really makes me feel fulfilled. And then on the online side of things, I get the nicest messages, like people saying they lost like 100 pounds from watching my macros videos and my full day videos.
Literally changing lives.
They're like obese and depressed Like, later I get these regularly, okay? Or even people just saying like, hey, you know, I got more confidence, just I built some muscle, blah, blah, blah. And that is the best part about my job. That is the best, the nicest messages in the world. That is dedication. Look at that, right? Coming straight from work, okay? When you got work at 5 and LF meetup at 6:30. That's how it goes, boys and girls. Man, that's awesome. Thank you so much for that. Appreciate you, man. That's super cool. And in person and online. And sure, you get hate, but that doesn't even— it's just stupid. It's just like people that— it's like kids that are bored.
That's how you know you're really succeeding. Is that what they say?
Yeah.
You're not really succeeding unless you have haters.
Exactly. Yeah. You're always— it's just a matter of numbers. Like, if you reach 100 people, one of them will have something mean to say. But that's fine. Like, the nice messages just trump out the bad ones. And yeah, yeah, I'm just really grateful for that. That's like my why, how I do it.
Beautiful, man. I mean, something we've sort of kind of talked about. I mean, you really got your start and I would say continue to make your bread and butter and your spice of life through fitness.
Yeah.
How did all this kind of come to be for you? Was it just focusing on yourself and then other people came and found you? Yeah. Or were you kind of making a point to make that part of like your workflow?
Yeah, so like I was saying at the start, I always have that one clear vision, kill it in the fitness game. And it's like once you just set your sights on that, then your opportunities will come to you. So we spoke about this in the last podcast, of course, but you know, it's been 2 years, so give it a little refresher. So, you know, I was useless in school, but always good at rugby. So that's what got me first into exercising, really. And not only, you know, I was good at rugby, but I actually liked the training more, like the conditioning. You know, you go out into the field, you flip corners.
The work necessary to get to the rugby.
Exactly, yeah, the weights room. You'd all be down there first thing in the morning before school. I'd love that. And so when I finished school, I played a little bit of rugby, But then I ended up giving that up and focusing just on fitness and, you know, weight training and, you know, learning more about my diet and stuff. And so that's what first got me into the gym.
Okay.
And then I gave college a go. I was useless at it. You know, I was never an academic person. So yeah, that was a fail. I repeated first year twice, failed, and I was like, I'm literally going nowhere.
I'm out.
I'm out.
Yeah.
So I was just like—
Not only am I not going anywhere, doing the same thing over and over.
I was like, I'm— this is the definition of spinning your wheels. And then so there was a point in my life where I was just like, you know, I was staying in this like weird, weird accommodation place, like, and I was just like playing video games all day. And I didn't—
you like, you got robbed or something? Or was it your— yeah, your laptop?
It was like a student accommodation thing, and like, you know, people would come up and like you'd just be strangers in the house and be like, oh shit, we get stolen. So that's not good when you're trying to be a YouTuber, but anyways, so I was just like, all right, what am I doing? I have no jobs lined up, like I don't have anyone to give me a job, I have no college degree, I was like, what do you like to do?
Our boy's heads are falling off.
Yeah, yeah. Got no food, got no money. I was like, right, what do you like to do? And I was like, I like lifting weights. Biggest meathead answer ever, but that's the truth.
I like picking up heavy things, put them back down.
Yeah, exactly, so I was like, Okay, you know what? Why don't you make a career out of that? And I always say to people this day, what do you like to do? And they'll say anything. They'll say, psh, playing Trainspotting, collecting cards.
Trainspotting. Never in a million years.
I'm a man of my word, and I wanna do 3 things today, okay? 1, work out with girls, done. Number 2, have a meetup, done. It went excellent. And number 3 on that list is In-N-Out Burger, right? We got some unfinished business here, and I'm not leaving LA without smashing one of these bad boys. Also, look at this top Linda got me. You chose to share. We got one cheeseburger with everything, one double-double with everything, one fries, one animal fries for me, two medium soft drinks, and then all the extras. In my opinion, that is the perfect In-N-Out meal. It's just the right amount, not too much, not too little. You have to see the double-double, right? She's not there yet. I'm In-N-Out pro level. You have the animal fries and you also get the normal ones. It's a happy medium of everything. I'm starving. They're on number 72 right now, we're 75. The excitement is building. It's gonna be a good time. Yeah, we're getting subscribers no matter where we go, right? They saw me vlogging, okay? Yeah, buddy, you just joined the LF Army, my man. Put it right there. Here's the goods. Double double, regular cheeseburger, animal fries, normal fries, ketchup, peppers, salt, all that. Just everything, right? It's just perfect order. Okay, go zoom in on that. All right, so let's see, we're starting this because I always time my meals. Like, when I'm doing an eating challenge, I time my meals, right? We're starting it at 9:19. Let's eat! Phenomenal. We ate that all in 7 minutes flat. That's got to be like some In-N-Out record right there. We'd still easily eat more. I kind of want to go for ice cream now. Anyways, I'm gonna wrap up the vlog here. See you guys in New York. Hope you enjoyed this one. I thought it was pretty cool. Um, so yeah, some New York vlogs incoming, and I definitely want to do a meet up in New York as well. So love you guys, peace out, keep it real, see you then.
