Full Day Of Eating: Why I DON'T Follow A Meal Plan

In this vlog‑style video, Rob Lipsett walks viewers through an entire day of his eating and training routine while explaining his flexible‑dieting approach. He begins by stating his goal to maintain his physique over the summer, showing his daily calorie and macronutrient targets on screen. Breakfast (delayed until 10 am) consists of turkey sausages, eggs, and a soy‑garlic‑turmeric seasoning; he notes the intermittent‑fasting‑like timing. After a brief park visit and a playful “ball‑pit” segment, he promotes an upcoming Alphalete Dublin meetup (Aug 4, Raw Gyms) and outlines the sponsors and logistics. He then hits a push‑day chest workout, discussing the day’s nutritional focus. Post‑gym, he presents a “delayed‑meal” dinner of pulled chicken breast with low‑fat cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, and a side salad, followed by a carb‑fat snack of oats mixed with triple‑nut butter, Nutella, and sugar‑free syrup, emphasizing portion control and moderation. Throughout, he critiques rigid meal‑plan structures, arguing that education on food sources and flexible tracking is more sustainable, using the “teach a man to fish” analogy. The vlog concludes with a quick house tour (living room, office, guest room, bedroom, bathrooms) and a final classic steak‑and‑potatoes dinner. He ends with a call‑to‑action for likes, comments on personal diet approaches, and encouragement to train hard.

Yo, what's up everyone? So, full day of eating video. You guys seem to absolutely love them. The last one I did was like a month ago and it got like over 170,000 views, so I need to do them more often. And if you do enjoy these videos, of course, give them a thumbs up, it's hugely appreciated, or even just share it with a friend who's interested in nutrition and cooking and recipes. So anyways, today I'm going to be showing you everything I eat in a day. As a bit of background, I'm currently just trying to maintain my physique over summer and I'm going to put my current calories and macronutrient intake on the screen right now. This is what I'm going to be eating today. For anyone who doesn't know, I don't follow like a set meal plan. I follow flexible dieting and I kind of just eat whatever foods I'm feeling that day and roughly try to hit these numbers and stay on track. With that said, we're going to start off with breakfast. I actually try to delay breakfast as long as possible, so I may wake up at like 7 AM and I won't have breakfast until like 10 AM. So it's kind of like intermittent fasting, which is a topic that I've done whole videos on. Anyways, that's the intro. Let's get into the video. All right, so for breakfast I'm gonna have like turkey sausages, and I'm probably gonna put like eggs or something with that. So with all my meat, I like to kind of like flavor it or marinate it. So with most like meats, I put in the packet, I just put soy sauce and then some like garlic and then just some normal pepper as well. And then I'll sometimes add in like, um, you know, turmeric or cayenne pepper as well. And like, you get such a good flavor off it. So that's what I did with the turkey sausages. I'm gonna grill them now and do up some eggs. Okay, so that's what breakfast is looking like. 2 whole eggs, 3 egg whites, 3 turkey sausages. I'm probably going to use these 2 condiments. I put them with like a lot of my meals. They're really macro-friendly. And usually I'll have something like this or like a coffee in the morning. So that is meal number 1. Okay people, so breakfast and emails and work done. The morning is when I'm most productive, so that's when I try to get most things out of the way. Now I'm gonna drive into town because it is an absolutely beautiful day and a few friends of mine are hanging around. Okay, so update on today's vlog. I just got a fresh fade because life is too short not to feel tidy, okay? Yeah, I get my haircut every week, I know. So now I'm just about to go into the park here, okay? A few of my friends are working at this kind of like food event, so I was like, okay, food event, I'm there. So I'm gonna pop in now, see what the buzz is. Looks fun. What's up, Joel? Good to see you. Not too bad. Yeah, yeah, sweet. Hey, great to meet you, man. What's up? Well, well, my old friend! I haven't seen you in a while. Where the hell have you been? He's left me. He's too good for me now. Apparently there's some ball pit thing here, and it looks like more work than fun. Okay, either way, I'm gonna give it a go. So I'm about to take on the pit of death. It looks very, very terrifying, but, uh, we'll see how we Go anyways, right? Got me this. There we go. Yeah, you're now my camerawoman. You got the job. It'd actually be good maybe to get a camerawoman the odd time instead of the cameraman. Hold hands. That is epic. Yeah, it's brilliant. I want to go in one more time. I'm trying to like cannonball in. Yeah, yeah. Update on the day. I'm done at that little park event. Event thingy, they gave me a goodie bag. Thank you. Um, you know, I think I'll give that to my concierge because they are— you'd have to know them, like, they're just the nicest guys ever. So I always give them like just some pick-me-ups during the day. Anyways, so I'm gonna go into the bank quickly, do some boring stuff, and then we're gonna get to go to the gym. Okay, so just parked up outside the gym, and now if you're following me on Twitter and Instagram, you will know that the Alphalete meetup, the Dublin meetup, is on August 4th, 4 to 7 PM at Raw Gyms, okay? And I want to make this a sick event, like I want to make it the full package. So getting NutriQuik to cater so everyone's fed, so everyone's gonna have meal prep. I'm gonna get Myprotein to organize like, you know, packs for everyone. I'm gonna get Body First Nutrition, um, you know, it's a shop in Dublin, to get like, you know, hampers for everyone. I'm literally— I'm gonna get lots of companies involved. I'm gonna make it a full-on event, okay? But so right now we can use the gym, okay? We can use the gym to do it. But what I'm thinking is, of course, it's weather dependent. But this is basically the back of the gym here, and it's a car park, but you know, there's a lot of free space. And this is like, right now this is like the middle of the day and it's still hardly even full. So I'm thinking if we cleaned up this area a little bit, we could definitely have some good space out here that is not being used. Like, I fully never even noticed that there was like a massive greenery over there. But yeah, I want to make it a sick day, and I would love for you guys to come down. It's gonna be me, Christian, and Emily Hayden, Mariah from Student Aesthetics, Nabil, and Becca too. So it's going to be awesome and we cannot wait to meet you all. So anyways, that is that out the way. That's a little announcement. Now it's time to go in, hit the gym. It's a push day, chest focus. So yeah, good times. What's up everyone? So hope you're enjoying the video. Hitting some chest and shoulders here, but the topic of today is more based on nutrition as that is what the video is about. So recently I got into a conversation with a mate about meal plans and they were kind of surprised when I said I'm not a massive fan and why I don't follow one. I think they can be good for adding structure to your routine. They can develop good habits, and you can put less thought into what you're gonna make for your next meal. But handing someone a meal plan instead of educating them on food sources like protein, carbs, fats, or teaching someone how to monitor their food intake— it's like the old saying, "Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he'll never go hungry." Meal plans can also enforce the all-or-nothing mindset Oftentimes when we're on a meal plan and we fall off our meal plan, we say, "Ah, forget it, today's a mess, I'll start tomorrow," and it's kind of like dropping your phone in the ground saying, "Well, I may as well step on it a couple times." So while I do eat similar foods and meals every day, personally I'm more into tracking your food intake for a while, which, don't get me wrong, can also have pros and cons too, but then tapering off into a less strict approach and eating more intuitively, maybe just tracking every so often. Either way, whatever approach you follow, the goal is just to make your diet as easy to stick to as possible while still making progress. Comment down below what approach works best for you. I'd love to hear your thoughts. I'll catch you in the next clip. Alright, so gym done. Mediocre session, but it was just kind of those ones that you just got to get on with it. So now it's pretty late in the day and I haven't eaten for ages, so that's kind of good for me because my appetite is so ridiculous. So the longer I can like hold off without like using up all my calories, the better. So it's kind of like an intermittent fasting approach, just without the fasting. It's like a delayed meal approach. Bear witness to this epic meal. So we got a load of pulled chicken breast, and I've actually melted low-fat cheese on top of that. Side salad and mashed sweet potatoes with some herbs infused. Epic meal. I'm also going to put some of this Chipotle Mexican sauce on top. Okay, so just on MyFitnessPal there, and we need more carbs and fats. We're doing well on the protein intake today, but we need to up the carbs and fats. So that calls for some of this oats for the carbs, and then we got the fats right here with some triple nut butter. This stuff is epic, link in the description box of course. And then some Nutella as well. 15 grams Nutella is only 80 calories. That will not ruin your diet, okay? It's not good for your relationship with food to be labeling certain foods as good or bad. Instead, you should be looking at things in moderation and looking at maybe good amounts and bad amounts. Okay, so don't eat the whole tub of Nutella, just have a little bit. I'm just gonna put some water in this, microwave it up. Okay, so oats are done. Here comes the interesting part. Now let's see what 15 grams a portion looks like. That's exactly 80 calories worth. Okay, okay, so that's 9 grams. That's a pretty decent amount. Wow. Okay, so there, look, that's 14 grams, and that's a pretty nice amount of Nutella. You know, I'm happy with that. Um, so right, I'm gonna put a bit of peanut butter in as well and enjoy. Okay, so I put some sugar-free syrup on that and the triple nut butter too. I'm still buzzing over that size, that Nutella portion. Like, 15 grams, 80 calories. You can eat Nutella and be shredded. There's proof right there. Yo yo, what's up? So it is the end of the day. I am just Cooking up my last meal of the day, and I just realized, okay, probably got a lot of new subscribers who are wondering what the place that I live in is like, because I did a house tour when I moved in just about 2 or 3 months ago, but I'm just gonna do a really quick updated one now that I've fully moved in. So this is the main living room. Again, we got like TV, couch, and that's like kind of my working space, office over there. Then we got spare guest room in here. Again, it's just like boxes and stuff there. This is the hallway. Then we got spare bathroom in here, shower, sink. Then in here we got my bedroom. Absolutely love it. Walk-in wardrobe, gym gear, going out gear. And then this is my bathroom here, so It's kind of like the main bathroom. So that is where I live. I live on my own. I like my space. I love living on my own. Dinner should be ready. Last meal of the day is a classic steak and spuds. This is what I was raised on right here. So we've got a load of potatoes here, pretty lean steak, and then some veggies to go with it. So people, I hope you enjoyed watching me eat food. Hope you liked the video. Give it a thumbs up if you did. I will see you in the next one. Keep it real, train hard, reach goals, and have a good time while you're doing it. I'm outta here.
