What's going on everyone, back with another video and today is— I'm doing something that I never thought I would be doing. I'm going back to my old school to give a talk to the 5th and 6th years. For anyone outside of Ireland, that's like 17, 18-year-olds and I'm literally just doing a talk on what I do and what I would tell my 18-year-old self. And the reason I'm just like mind-blown by this, like I was not a good student. I was not like your straight-A student. I was an absolute messer to put to put it lightly. So, you know, the fact that the school has offered for me to come back and give a talk is just amazing. And like, I love my old school. Some of my school years were like some of the best years of my life, so I'm really excited to go down. I've nothing prepared. It's like a relaxed talk. So yeah, I thought I'd try record it and, you know, there could be a few lols in there. And maybe for any 17, 18-year-olds who are watching my videos, maybe you can get some good advice from it too. So I just finished the legs there, hence the long sleeve. You gotta wear a long sleeve on leg day. And I'm waiting for my friend to come over now, and then two of us are gonna head down. Ah, here we go! The old gates. Oh my God, the feels. So I went to boarding school, so it's about an hour outside Dublin. We just drove down. There was actually quick drive so Clongowes Wood College is the school and we're just about to pull up here I'm probably gonna have a look at the new gym because when we were there the gym sucked apparently they've an amazing gym now you can probably imagine that I love myself a bit of gym porn like looking out a new gym it's— ah! Love it! So I'm going to have a look around get acquainted with my alma mater catch in which minute? It's like Hogwarts doo-doo-do-lee-doo-doo-doo-da-lee-doo-doo-doo! Doodelido doodle-a-dee-duh! All right, so just about to go into the new gym. I cannot wait to see this. We had like— we trained in like a basement, but that is where my love for fitness and weights began. Um, but it's like knocked down now, isn't it? Yeah, over there goes the gains. This is badass. School colors, purple and white. I love gyms like this. Yeah, it's still kind of got a good feel to it. Yeah, bench pull as well, that's one of my favorite machines that Raw doesn't have or anything. Yeah, this is bringing back good memories for me. I've absolutely not been prepared and I think that's the best way to do things and just be real, off the cuff. And I'm just literally going to go through my life story from when I was your age up until now. The things I learned, the experiences I went through, and some advice I would give to my former self. And then maybe we can just finish off with a Q&A or something and just have a chat. So basically, what year are you guys in? 5th year. 6th year. Uh, right, when I was in 5th and 6th year, I was like— I'm not even trying to say cool— I was the biggest messer in the year. Like, I was an absolute joker of a person. I was I was so bad in school and I had the Leaving Cert coming up and I was petrified of it. I was so afraid. I didn't know what I wanted to do. I was literally like, I was literally just here taking the piss and stuff. But deep down inside, I knew, I was like, I really gotta, you know, get my head screwed on. You know, I'm growing up now. I'll be leaving school and going into college. And one of the worst things I did was really get worked up and get stressed out stress and anxious and worry about the future so much. I really do encourage you all to study as much as you can. So at this stage, I'm about 19, I'm in first year of college, and I'm having a great time, you know, and I'm having a bit too much of a good time, to be honest. Like, I don't want to do this. I want to do something else. So this was when I made a Facebook page, and you may think that, like, sounds like the smallest thing in the world, but that's kind of how everything started for me, my whole career, and Instead of writing articles on like a website or a blog, I would write articles on fitness and nutrition as subs because that was what I was interested in. I wasn't interested in business. I was interested in like getting jacked, lifting weights. That's another thing I'll go back to as well. You really got to do what you love, do what you're passionate about. So when you put all your efforts into something, that is where it is. It's going to blow up. When you just concentrate on something, you get a goal in your head, you just don't take no for an answer. Do you like Conor McGregor? Yeah, everyone loves Conor McGregor. He's not too good for us. Have you ever heard it the way he talks about fights? He just, he like predicts them, he just thinks to the outcome he wants to happen, and he doesn't take no for an answer. That's how you got to be in every aspect in life. That's something I learned, and I didn't always have this positive mindset. I can trust that your life will just flip when you start thinking like this. Thanks very much, lads, for coming out to see Rob. Big thank you to Rob. What's up, everyone? So following day, 14th of April. I absolutely loved doing that talk and going back to my old school. And some of the teachers were like, Rob, we're so proud of you. We never thought that you'd be coming back to give a talk to the, you know, to the current pupils. We're so proud of you. So I was like, that was an amazing feeling. But so now Pull in here. So now I am on Georgia Street. I'm going in to get my hair cut. I'm going to— it's called Blind Eye Barber, but it's actually owned by the same people who own Cut and Sew, so I know they're gonna do an awesome job. So shout out to those guys. So I'm gonna head on in, see what they can do. Here in Blind Eye, absolutely loving the atmosphere. Knew it would be a sweet place. So Blind Eye Barber got me looking Devastatingly handsome, as usual. And so what you're seeing here is a raw blade faded into a 1 and then thinned out on top. So absolute props to these guys, love it, it's perfect, highly recommend. Check it out, Georgia Street Arcade. They've also got a speakeasy. It's like the only barber— look at this! So you go and get your haircut and then you pop in for a drink afterwards. Very cool indeed. Cheers, bro! That's cool. I also got to get this playlist as well. All right, so just about to go hit a push session. Got that Alphalete Lifestyle range on deck. And my sessions these days, the cut is kind of starting to kick in. But look, as expected, this is the grind. So hopefully have a good one today. First basement. Let's do this. Getting ready to hit this workout. Kyle has got himself a new Rise belt. Looks pretty damn cool. Pre-workout for today, some black coffee. So we're hitting push day, chest emphasis, and something I'm trying out is I'm starting off with chest flies. Just get some blood into the muscle first, warm it up nicely. And today I'm just going to kind of like chase the pump a little bit and have a bit of fun. So yeah. Feeling good. The caffeine is in me. All right, so I'm gonna do a quick little voiceover while I hit some incline bench press, and I'm not gonna talk about incline bench press. I'm actually just gonna talk about something that happened to me today, as that's what I'd like to do during these workouts. You'll know this, but basically today I was just feeling a bit out of it or something. I was feeling a bit down on myself just for no reason at all. Like, literally, I can't really explain it. And then randomly I just got like this really nice inbox just completely out of the blue, and it's just completely changed my mood. After that, I was just feeling awesome and I had a kick-ass day. And what I want you to do if you're watching this, go just give a random compliment to someone because because you really never know what type of day someone's having or just how someone is feeling at the time. And just a little kind of, hey, keep up the good work or something, can really just make someone's day. So that's kind of just the little message that I wanted to include in today's video. If you're liking the video, give it a thumbs up, and I'm gonna leave you with some raw footage. This little tip I have, because I actually prefer just talking to the camera in the gym rather than voiceovers. I feel it's a little bit more personal. But if you're having shoulder problems or shoulder pain when you're benching, right, Don't flare out your elbows, keep them tucked down here and sort of kind of do it like a hammer press. And I find like not only this protects your shoulders, but I find you get a better contraction in your chest just like this. Alright, so decent workout. Energy was— it's holding up, it's holding up. But so post-workout, show you what I got going on. It is gonna be just over 100 grams of of oats and then some Coffee Caramel. Love this flavor, Impact Whey. And I'm gonna sweeten it with stevia too. And there you have it, protein oats. Did a quick little stop off and done, so I'll just quickly go through it. And I got all that stir-fry stuff that I had my last video, or two videos ago, so that's what I'm probably gonna have for lunch, dinner. The bean sprouts and the veg stir-fry, mushrooms, mustard, 2 usual salad bowls, life savior. These are on sale, they're like €2 each, so went for them. Some more salad mix, stir-fry sauce, tomatoes, and some caffeine-free Diet Coke so I can have that in the evening. So yeah, that's, uh, pretty usual cutting groceries for me. Volume. So we are getting our cook on and I am making myself this massive turkey prawn stir-fry. Oh my God, I'm so excited for this. Okay, so, um, picked up the furniture from, uh, where is it, D.I.D. Electro or something, but I didn't know you had to assemble it. This is going to be a bitch to assemble, but let's get cracking. Home improvement. Starting to take a bit of shape. Seriously though, how much does that look like ice cream? That is Glenisk high-protein Greek yogurt and casein mixed in. Oh my God. Alright, I've taken it to the next level. I have added sugar-free MySyrup from MyProtein and some raspberries. Like, ah, am I even cutting? Alright, so we're done kind of putting together all the furniture and cleaning up the office a little bit. Still a few final touches to go, but it's looking pretty clean right now. So let's give it a look. So really nice open workspace. Just, I just come in here and I feel like I've got a clear head. I was going to put the desk kind of in the middle facing out, but really, like, that may look cool, but realistically this makes the most sense in terms of space and stuff. Got a nice big view there, so I can have that in the morning. It's a really nice bright room. I'm going to get the Arnie painting. I'm either going to get it hung up there or maybe there. And also, when you turn off the lights, it is just a really nice chilled room. So I'm probably going to work like this tonight. Um, I gotta catch up on so much work, so much emails, because the last couple of days just been so busy. I haven't got the chance. Life happens. But yeah, it's pretty chilled. So guys, thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate you clicking that button. Until next time, keep it real. Me and Arnie are gonna get some work done. Hope you enjoyed.
