What's up everyone, back with another video and we're starting off at breakfast because I know y'all love seeing my breakfast. Breakfast can like make or break you, whether the goal is to like reduce calories or bump up calories, you know, gain weight, lose weight, whatever. Because if you have like a massive breakfast early on the day, you're kind of like, oh damn, it's already like 9 o'clock, I've eaten like, you know, 800 calories. It's not very good for fat loss, but like if muscle gain is the goal and you struggle to get in calories, it's good to knock out a a lot in the morning when you can. I like to go a little bit half and half, but either way, right, pancake hype is back. So this morning I'm doing my protein pancake mix, and this is actually a pretty low-carb mix. So I'm adding in about 50 grams of oats, some chia seeds too, egg whites, Creatine. Yes, I add creatine to my pancakes in the morning. And, and one Oreo, just one, 50 calories per Oreo. I literally throw all that in a bowl, mix it together, pan. Bring in an Oreo because I like to live dangerously. These look kind of like chunky, but then you cook them, you flip them, and they look quality. It's not about how it looks, it's about how it tastes. So that is them. As you can see, they look way better now. So we're just chilling here anyways, and Ben wanted to say a few words.
Yeah, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you guys. I mean, the support on the last video is my first video, so obviously I was a bit nervous as to how it would go down, but the support I got was really, really overwhelming, and I just can't thank you guys enough. And also thank Rob and Sarah for this opportunity. Like, I am so— the inner fanboy is literally screaming. But, uh, I just wanted to say a huge thank you. And to all of you guys who actually went over to my channel and gave me support there, it really means the world to me. Thanks so much.
Yeah, it's a match made in heaven. Ben's like a little brother to me that is taller, so you know. So switching over to Ben's camera, the other day went so well, so we're just like, Ben's got a half day on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so we're just like, hey, let's just meet up, do it again. And like, just the proof is in the pudding. Like, Ben killed the edits. Holy shit, the quality and content is amazing. Shout out to Lars and Kai Sakarikaramimi. But yeah, so we're gonna get ready for the gym now. We're gonna do an edit and we actually, Ben's battery was like running low the last day, so it was a little bit rushed. So we're gonna really, you know, really get a good edit today. Maybe try out a different style. Again, we're just having fun with this. Like, you know, this is kind of the beginning and Sarah's gonna come along as well. So we're gonna probably maybe get some coffee in, get something to eat and then go hit up Raw Gym. Okay, so we're just outside Raw Gym. We're about to go hit a leg workout. And I know whenever you're doing like a cool edit, It's easy to make like chest day and stuff look cool, but you know, so with this leg workout, just try and make my ass look good, okay? Like just do your best. I haven't got, I haven't got my nice leggings on, so see what we can do. All right, so cool, edit over. So now it's time to be somewhat informative. But after that workout, just did the usual. Start off with compounds, so it was squats, straight leg deadlifts, then it was on to quads, leg extensions, then hamstring curls and glute ham raises in there. Then the usual, finish off with calves and abs. Calves and abs, calves and abs, that's like my favorite leg workout. I love it, right? Feels great. So you know I try to like pick an informative topic to talk about in every vlog, so you know, you get some lifestyle and stuff like that, but you also learn something too and benefit from watching the videos. And in the last vlog, we talked about intermittent fasting on a bulk and how it can actually be good to not let your calories go out of control and keep a lean bulk. And someone left a really good comment because they noticed that I said that it's not optimal for muscle protein synthesis, like, to do intermittent fasting. It's good to have regular feedings, so like 3 meals a day, like breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you're getting a hit of protein every 6 hours. And what some talked about is actually something I pretty much do every time I get to a really low body fat and really deep into a cut, and that's carb backloading. So basically, in the morning, you just have a hit of protein. So for example, in— you've probably seen a lot of my contest prep videos, I have turkey sausages and egg whites. So I get a load of protein, you know, spark muscle protein synthesis, but then later on in the day, you have so much fats and carbs left to consume and like you go about your day, you're busy, and like you don't even realize it. So you get through the whole day and, you know, you haven't eaten that much and you've saved a lot of calories for the evening time. So that's carb backloading. There's no magical benefits to you. It's literally just saving more calories for later in the day to make sure you don't overeat. And I always have to stress this: number one importance is how much you eat in the entire day, how much protein, carbs, and fat you eat throughout the whole day. And then timing is really just an individual thing. So like with my clients as well, like I always talk to them and You know, if they say they have struggles with late-night cravings, let's then say carb backloading would be good for you guys to implement. But there's nothing magic about it. So that's today's kind of nutrition talk. We're going to get on with the day, finish up here, and yeah, awesome workout. So I'm feeling great. Every workout is just so good when you are on a decent amount of calories. Package time, delivery time, my favorite time. So I will do a little bit of an unboxing. Okay, obviously that is from Kerrigan's Foods for Fitness. They like supply me with all like my basics like chicken breast, turkey, steak, and all that. And then this random package from Kiehl's.
What the hell is it?
I know what this is. Nourishing Beard Grooming Oil. Maybe that's a sign I need to grow out my beard. And oh, nice shave lotion. Okay, that is actually a nice surprise. Thank you, Kiehl's. I did not know that was coming. Don't know how they got my address. But okay, let's crack this open quickly. Okay, right, so ginger chili and lemon turkey burgers. I love that flavor. Jamaican jerk style turkey burgers by Rob Lipsett. You know you've made it when you got your own turkey burger. So like, yeah, this is just— oh, turkey sausages like I talked about earlier. My like prep breakfast when I was on competition prep was like turkey sausages, really lean bacon, and egg whites. And then like some grilled veggies. So kind of mimicked a fry-up in my calorie-deprived head. But yeah, so you're probably thinking as well, like, oh, didn't you, you know, just get a meal prep sponsorship? And it's like, yeah, that's when I'm in a quick fix. But I do still love cooking. Like, cooking is like one of my favorite pastimes. I love it when I have the time. And I hate throwing discount codes at you guys, but you know, the discount code for this stuff is in the description box. But I'm cool with it if I actually use it and like fully believe in it. Like, it's, it's just good quality meat and food products. So yeah, absolutely delighted with that. I'm probably gonna cook up some lunch now. Let's get on with the day. All right, so quick update on how the day is going. It's like 3 PM. We are having a productive day. But anyways, right, okay, so Ben has a meeting here with this, um, this company, this business, and this is what like This is what I'm talking about, okay? You know, I want to look after the people in my circle. I want this relationship to be mutually beneficial. And like, after seeing my videos, this company got on to Ben. They're like, you know, we saw your stuff and we really, you know, we want to do something together. So that makes me feel amazing that I can get, you know, someone— give someone a leg up. But anyway, so this is going to be— we're going to go in here now. This is going to be the last bit of, uh, vlog footage on Ben's camera, and then I'm going to go about the rest of my day, just, you know, handheld self-vlogging on the G7X. Alright guys, what's going on? So back on the Canon G7X Mark II. Me and Ben have parted ways for today, and now I am off to Clear Skin just to get like some facial and some skin treatments. As you know, I was looking at some old videos when I started YouTube, and I was like 22 at the time, and I was a very fresh face. I think I've aged terribly. But yeah, it's gonna be kind of relaxing, and I'm so tired. I'm having a long day. But I'm having a productive day, so like, I really can't complain. But I was gonna take you guys along with me and see what I get up to. Do you know when you're too tired after leg day to even get changed out of your gym gear?
Yeah, me.
That's how I feel right now. Actually, that's me often. Alright, I'm going to Clear Skin and see if they can make me look somewhat decent.
So I just am quickly taking over Rob's channel because he is lying down about to get his treatment. But yeah, the reason why Rob is in here is just because he really does nothing to look after his skin. He doesn't like use any like face washes or cleansers or anything. He actually just uses coconut oil, which now he's been told can kind of clog up his pores and stuff. So today he's just in to get kind of like a deep clean and kind of work on like his clogged pores and any of the problem areas he's having. So we'll show you what he's getting done. So Rob's just getting some microdermabrasion. How does it feel, Rob?
Lovely. I'm probably gonna fall asleep. No, it's honestly all right.
Gonna do a peel because Rob gets like these kind of like spots and stuff on his neck from shaving, so just gonna kind of treat them now. And he's finishing off with a hydration mask, kind of a high—
do I look like Patrick Bateman? All right, so I feel like so much better already. I think it's taken a few years off me, but yeah, my face feels like fresh, not tired anymore. So it's kind of a nice treat after leg day as well. Uh, I have been told that I do really need to start looking after my skin a little bit more, especially as I get older. Yeah, she thinks so too. And I also think I need started getting— looking after my teeth a little bit more too. So, you know, unfortunately in the business we're in, appearance is important, but it's just the way life is. All right, long day, and I really haven't eaten much today. I actually did not track my macros today, but I kind of know intuitively that I don't think I've eaten enough calories. So time for some cooking with Lipsett. We got the usual combo: a lot of pasta there, some veggies— that's like mushrooms, courgettes, spring onion— some fillet steak. I cannot wait to have some of this, and I'm even throwing in a piece of lean bacon too. All right guys, so I'm gonna finish up this video here, and thank you for watching the video because I really enjoyed making it. Keep it real, I made her peace. Almost forgot to show the pasta. I could not be at that. Finished product there, that was a nice big meal.
