How I Spent My Birthday in Dubai

In this 34‑minute vlog, Rob Lipsett (Speaker A) celebrates his 34th birthday in Dubai with his wife Linda, their baby, and his parents. The video opens with a morning routine that includes a protein shake, protein bars, and coffee delivered via the Careem app, followed by a quick gym session in his apartment’s fully equipped gym. He then walks to the West Palm promenade, highlighting the convenience of staying in a walk‑able area when traveling with a child. Throughout the day he showcases his skincare and hair‑care regimen for a 34‑year‑old man—facial oil, serums, styling powder, daily minoxidil and microneedling for hair regrowth—while emphasizing that fat loss is the primary factor for a youthful appearance. He offers practical parenting and travel advice (using a pram, choosing walk‑able locations, bringing toys, ordering sushi for easy one‑hand eating). The vlog also includes price details for coffee, brand mentions (Careem, Costa Coffee, Arabica, Eucerin, Tribal Chimp), and a motivational message that health, fitness, and consistency are the keys to longevity and continued relevance on social media. The video ends with a beach lunch of sushi, birthday wishes, and a pledge to stay fit and active for the next decade.

Good morning, team. Good morning. Whose birthday is it? Bobby's! Are we having a good day? Yes. Oh, this is crazy hair. What is going on, guys? Welcome to my birthday. 34 years old, spending it with the people that matter. We're in Dubai, starting off with a little protein shake, some protein bars. We got these off Careem, which is the app that just has everything. Some pineapples as well. And then I'm going to hit the gym as on my birthday. That is what I want to be doing. I just had a huge sleep. The Whoop score is green and that is a sign it's going to be a good day. Imagine if the Whoop score is red. I would just cancel my birthday. Joking. But anyways, let's get into it. Cheers. Thank you, sir. All right, so the thing with Dubai is you can just order anything at any time with the Careem app. Sounds like a brand deal. Hit the Careem app or Uber Eats. And so we just got morning coffee. Costa Coffee. Look, we got the little Dubai graphic there. So let me you through. So come over here, come over here to the bar. Let me run you through what we got. And I'm also going to show you the price, the price of coffee, because people say Dubai— people say Dubai is expensive. I don't know, I think, I think it's all roughly the same, to be honest. Oh, look at that, Linda! So good! That looks icy.
And we got sugar-free syrup.
We did, that's in there. And oh my God, look, loads of artificial sweetener. Gains, we love artificial sweetener on this channel, guys. So So we got 2 iced lattes with nonfat milk, skim milk. I don't like digesting a load of fats just before I go work out. If I was to give you the workout coffee tier, it's just an Americano or black coffee beforehand. That's just, you know, the purest form of caffeine. Next up to that, I would recommend something like an iced latte that's nice and cold. And if you have it with skim milk, and it's just going to be protein, carbs, and coffee. Wouldn't really recommend smashing loads of like milky, creamy coffees before your workout. So this is 2 iced lattes. Is an extra shot in each one to up the caffeine content. That also upped the price. So the price of these coffees for two of these delivered, extra shot, skim milk, extra shot in each, €14, €7 each. I think that's pretty decent. I always judge somewhere on the price of a coffee. All right, let's do a coffee taste. Coffee in Dubai also amazing. What's the one with the percent sign as a logo? Arabica. Arabica, so good. Let's see this. That's quality. So today we're just going to use the apartment gym in 7PAM. Went down for a look at it yesterday, it has everything. So a quick pump there. Then we've got this place called February 30 that we— it's just across the road. And so that's the thing as well, when you go traveling with a kid, just pick an area where you don't have to be Ubering to everywhere. So we're staying on West Palm, it's literally just one big long promenade and you can just go wherever. And so we're just gonna walk across to my birthday lunch, got a beach bed there, and we're just gonna chill there for the day and see what happens. So that is my day. That is literally all I want to do on my birthday is wake up and go to the gym and chill with my family, probably get a little bit of work done, you know, I'd like to do some editing, and then go down, eat some delicious food outside in the sun. That's it. That's what makes me happy. I think that's what makes every man happy. All right, skincare of a 34-year-old man. Step number 1 is just steal all your wife's stuff. She's gonna have better stuff than you. I shave every single day and I feel like it just scrapes all the crap off my face. And I when I don't shave and I let things grow a little bit, apart from the mustache of course. When I don't shave, my skin just feels dirtier. And so as soon as in the morning I wake up, I shave. And then after that, I will put on a facial oil because I'm naturally very dry skin. So the first thing I do is put on a facial oil. And then with that, I'll put on something kind of light, something like a serum of some sort. So this is Anti-Pigment Eucerin Jewel Serum. I just steal all Linda's stuff. And Sculpted by Amy, which is an Irish blogger, it's an Irish business. Actually, no, me since we're really young, and she sent this out to Linda. And this is a Hydro Glow hydrating serum. So put on something light as a serum afterwards, and then your face just feeling amazing. You got the oil and the serum, just so good. If I'm going out in the sun swimming all day, I'll use like some sort of facial factor on my skin, but usually I'm quite tan, so I never really burn anyways. Then for my hair, currently using a styling powder that's called Tribal Chimp. So it like It's very strong, but it gives your hair that look that it's that dry look that you've got no product in, and it makes it look longer than it does as well. Then speaking of hair, I smash Minoxidil daily. I was losing so much hair. Maybe you would like to see a full hair loss journey on me. A lot of you guys have noticed, like, when you look at videos, like, from the summer before up until now. So about a year and a half ago, I went on a big hair loss journey. And the thing you want to start with— so there's other things you can do, there's lots of things you do. The easiest, most accessible thing you can start with, and this is great for regrowth is microneedling and minoxidil. So you have to do that. You have to do minoxidil once or twice a day. Like, it's so easy to put on and do. You do that twice a day, and I started noticing actually really good results as soon as like 4 months in. Then after 6 months, it became really prominent. You do microneedling a few times a week, as much as you can tolerate it, really. I find it fine, and that made a huge difference. Like, it regrew all these bits here, and it made a huge difference just the volume of my hair as well. So you can buy this over the counter in any pharmacy in Spain. It's like a few euros and it lasts you so long as well. So that is my, my beauty routine. Hair, skin, brush my teeth a lot as well. You should always be brushing your teeth. I don't think that's a, that's a complicated one. And then the most important thing with your face is fat loss. You can do all the things I just mentioned there, but the number one thing for men looking young is fat loss. So your body fat stores fat everywhere, including your face and your neck, on your cheeks, chubby cheeks. You've heard that one before. On your jawline, especially even in around your eyes, like, you've seen some crazy before and after transformations, and the person in the transformation, their face, they look like different people. And so the main thing, especially for guys in their 30s when everyone kind of clocks out, starts giving up on their fitness routine, the main thing is fat loss and keeping a lean physique and a lean face. Because once you go on a cut, once you start losing fat, it's like you get a facelift. Your face is tight everywhere. It's crazy. You look like a different person. Looksmaxxing, 90% looks maxing is just being lean. So the main thing for keeping a youthful look is just being lean, being fit and healthy. Who would have thunk it? Thunk it? Is thunk a word?
No, thought.
Thought. Who would have thought it? Who would have thunk it? I like thunk it. So just going down to the gym now, get a quick session in. Going to do like upper body or full body as I haven't trained in like a few days. Probably won't train tomorrow. So let's get it. I'm excited. Oh! All right, Mom and Dad's day out. It's my birthday, we're in Dubai. Linda's looking absolutely amazing. Heading down to the beach now, West Palm. Are you excited? Very. Let's do it! Let's go! So we are walking down to February 30th, and to give you guys some tips, recommendations where to stay on The Palm. So this is pretty new area and it's called West Palm. And usually, you know, we've stayed in JBR, we've stayed in downtown, we've stayed in the marina. They're all popular places. And this is kind of where all the new cool restaurants and clubs like Surf Club— there's Kaima there, February 30, very popular— where we're going as well. But the main reason we picked here is you can just walk everywhere. So this promenade is super long and at the end is where we're staying, and then at the very, very end is 5PM. So that's like a very crazy party hotel. I've stayed there a good few times. It's a great buzz. I've had some good times there with Mike, Harrison Twins, all the lads. So you can get whatever you want on this trip, but the main thing is now that we've got a pram, we need to be able to walk everywhere, because if we were just Ubering everywhere, it's just a lot of hassle putting all the configuration into an Uber every single time. And then there's a lot of Ubers and they don't even have kid seats, So it's just very complicated. So we chose somewhere that we can just walk everywhere. So by the end of this trip, we're probably gonna like tick off every restaurant on the way. But this is, uh, February 30th here right now. I'm starving. I've ate like a little bit of fruit today and a protein shake. So let's, uh, let's get stuck in. All right guys, we have made it. This is now what day beds look like on this channel, and I actually think it's the most the most lit it's ever been.
We love traveling with her. She's like our best friend.
Best advice is if you're becoming a parent, you are a parent, just do the same things you always did. People scared us so much. Oh, it's all doom and gloom. Oh, your life's going to change so much. No, it's not. It doesn't. It only changes as much as you let it change. Keep your routine going. Keep hitting the gym. Work together. Always be dating your wife. Keep doing nice things together. Just keep as much parts of your old life the same as possible. And you'll love having kids. They're just an addition to your life. It makes everything better, makes everything funnier.
So piece of advice when you are coming away with a baby is just bring little toys for them to play with on the beach bed so that they kind of still have a little bit of entertainment and she can just play.
Guys, how good does Linda look as well? Like seriously, I just keep looking at Linda today and I'm like, mama! Mwah! 34 today also. Okay, this is my Best piece of advice, it's something I've been thinking about a lot. It sounds super meathead, it sounds super vain, sounds super minimalistic, but every year on January 1st to January 17th, 'cause my birthday on the 17th, I do a turbo shred and I wake up on the 17th feeling sharp, feeling strong, feeling lean, I feel productive as well. And as long as you do that, you just don't feel like you're getting older. You just don't, like you've always just feel every year you're like, this is great. The more I maintain my progress while being a dad, being a business owner, owner and getting older, the more impressive it is. You think I would give you some like super wise advice as I got older, and the older I get, the more I realize it's literally just about health and fitness. Because if I'm not at my healthiest and fittest, I can't, I can't give my best to these guys because they're obviously the most important thing in my life. But if I'm not healthy and fit, nothing matters. You're in the ground. So that's it. That is my message, and that's what I've been thinking about as I get a little bit older. Stay sharp, stay fit. And on that note, now it's time to eat whatever the hell we want. Yeah! We're gonna order now. Go! Very nice. That looks like the best one. Yes, of course, this is the best seller.
That is—
I love the presentation. And this is the kimchi wasabi. Wasabi. Oh, bon appétit. Amazing, thank you. Bon appétit. Bon appétit. Look at that first spread. This is all I want. This is my ideal day. It's all I want for my birthday. Ton of sushi, wife, kids, beach, sun. That's it. I've made it. That's the peak of life. Are you gonna let me eat a piece of sushi? I think so. So advice when ordering food with a baby is get sushi as it is the easiest to eat. Come on, come on. Whoa.
Mmm, you can eat it with one hand and hold the baby in the other.
One hand, easy, and go back to holding the baby. Sushi is the best meal if you've got kids, and that is a fact. The beef roll so far is the best. Mmm, so far that is the best roll. Still yet to try this This one. Wow, heaven. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. One more time. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday. Happy birthday to you. Cheers, guys. Thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much. Cheers! When did you organize that? It was in the bathroom, was it? Thank you so much. Happy birthday! That's it, that's, that's my day made. That, that is my day made. Perfect day. We're finishing up here at sunset. I think it's time to wind things up, so I'll see you guys in the next one and look, thank you so much for still watching my videos when I'm 34 years old. As long as you still stay with it, you still stay in shape, you still stay in tune with culture, then there's no end point for social media. There's no end point for fitness. As long as you keep yourself updated, you stay cool, can be doing this forever. My favorite podcaster, Joe Rogan, he's coming up to 60. All the guys I watch, Gary Vee, everyone, they're on the 40s, 50s, there's no time limit. So guys, I'm going absolutely nowhere. You're going to be seeing me here for at least the next 10 years. So see you in the next one. Keep it real.
