I Ate And Trained Like KSI For 24 Hours... This Is What Happened

Louis and fitness YouTuber Rob Lipsett spend 24 hours following KSI's exact training and diet, working with his trainer Leon Wills and boxing at Conor McGregor's gym. They do bag work, pad drills, sparring, and a full-body circuit, then rate whether the plan is sustainable for about 90 days.

What's going on everyone? Welcome to today's YouTube video. So it's gonna be a full day of eating and training, but with a little bit of a twist, alright? So today we're gonna be doing some boxing, and I'm back with my boy Louie here. And so the last video we did together was when I took on The Rock's training and diet plan. So today, right, we're like, who's a hot topic right now? You know, what's going on in the world of sport, health, and fitness? Cheers, Linda. Cheers, Linda. Perfect timing. And we wanna take on KSI's training plan, I watched the KSI and Logan Paul mash. We'll talk about that later. We'll, you know, do some questions and answers with that. But we're gonna go to Crumlin Boxing Club at 2 PM. We're gonna train with a pro boxer who's a friend of mine, go through some drills, and just have an epic day. So we're starting off this breakfast pretty low-carb. We got this like high-protein black pudding and just some loaded turkey breast. So in the mornings, I like to knock out a large amount of my daily protein intake, just kind of get it done for the day. And so yeah, that's what we're starting off the day with. So anyways, give video a thumbs up, subscribe if you're new here. Let's get into the video. What's this dude saying? Okay, so he's obviously KSI's coach. Make sure that you have energy, not use energy. Okay, you know what I'm saying? So this is very easily digestible. Then right here we have squash. Brown rice, currants. So we're pushing about a 500-calorie meal, which is great for you right now. Thank you very much. Alright, so we're just doing some more research into what KSI eats on a daily, and as we see here, he must have made weight at this stage because his coach said he's not trying to lose energy, therefore being in an energy deficit, which will cause you to lose weight. He's trying to maintain energy for his training sessions. So today I'm probably gonna have a bit of a high-carb day, especially as we're doing boxing. It's more kind of like endurance-based than what I would usually be doing, which is just mainly weight training and a bit of a little low-intensity cardio, so yeah. Bit more carbs today, just before Maldives. So we just realized we're gonna have to carb up a little bit for the training we're doing today. I found a box of Weetabix and I'm buzzing. Right, here we go. You know what, I'm just putting the whole goddamn pack in. Weetabix, please sponsor me so maybe I can afford a bowl that doesn't have a chip in it. Also, let's throw some bran flakes on this bitch. Right. Smash. Look at that. Man, I'm gonna be pumped after this. So I've been doing like low enough carbs during the week, this Maldives trip, and like, of course I've competed before. Anyone in the kind of like bodybuilding circles will know like when you deplete yourself for a while, you know, you look nice, lean, and dry. You carb up, you go get a pump in the gym, you look sick. So hopefully that happens today. All right, a little bit of milk. Can't beat a bowl of cereal, can you? Unbelievable. The happiness, man. This is— this is what life's all about. It's the simple things. Good maple syrup, just extra carbs, man. All right, so we're doing our research here, okay? We found KSI's PT, so we want to give you guys the best possible video today. So we're going to message him and find out exactly what KSI does. Hope to God he replies. So we got some fresh Alphalete, the next launch. They're doing a Black Friday sale, releasing a ton of new items. That is on November 29th. This hoodie, I'm gonna use it to kind of train in today. I love training in hoodies, especially November in Dublin. Weather isn't the best, but yeah, this is ideal. It's perfect. And the code, if you want to support me, is Lipsett. Link in the description box. So we're gonna throw this on. Alright, 90% of the time when I plan an outfit, I end up just wearing all black instead. Okay, still athlete though. So now let's go. Alright guys, so the DMs have paid off. We have got a reply from LeonWills101. So that is KSI's personal trainer, and he's actually given us 3 of the exact workouts he did. Now these are intense. There's a combination of strength, conditioning, circuit training, and it's also a lot of functionality work in there too. But so now we're gonna get ready for our boxing training, our sparring, and our drills. That's gonna be in Crumlin Boxing Club with a friend of mine who's a pro boxer, Declan Garrity. This is also Conor McGregor's boxing club, Crumlin, so yeah, you know, we're in with the big dogs and it's gonna be an epic session. Strawberry dac. Here we go. Oh, look at that, look at the ghost outline. Welcome to Pre-Workout Reviews with Rob and Louis. Today we are reviewing the one and only Max Tuning's new signature pre-workout. This is Strawberry Daiquiri and Mango Margarita. Both alcoholic gyms— gyms— both alcoholic drinks because lax— lax— both alcoholic drinks because Max is a low-key alcoholic. You go first. That's strawberry daiquiri, very good. Insane, actually. That's pretty hard. That's gonna be hard to beat. Okay, okay, that is honestly the best I've tried. Okay, on 3 we give our opinions. Yeah, 3, we give our opinion. Okay, 1, 2, 3. Strawberry daiquiri. There you go. So literally Yeah, insane, Max. More of this. Um, and if you want to just be extra cheeky, use my discount code and not Max's, you know. Just, just the strawberry daiquiri is unbelievable. Yeah, it's very good. All right, unbelievable. We're finally gonna go to the gym now. Most of the chicks that you out here trying to get on, you just catching up to what I've been on. Yeah, that's what I've been on. You know, I want to do a boxing session as well. Bloom's here if you want to jump in. Oh man, this is sick. Yes, you've done it before, haven't you? I have done, yeah. Holy shit, this is unbelievable. No sad stories here, man. The last video I was getting my teeth done at the dentist, now they're getting knocked out. What's going on everyone? So we're here in Crumlin Boxing Club with an old friend of mine, Declan Garrity, who's a professional boxer, and we actually learned to be personal trainers together. We got our qualification together, so it's mad how the world of YouTube brings you back together. So if you want to intro yourself to the YouTube. So today we're going to do a little boxing, bring Rob into a day of my life. Going to do a boxing session, we're going to do bags, pads, and we're going to spar. Nice. Put Rob through it, so we're going to have a bit of fun, we're going to enjoy it. Obviously he's a weightlifter, a bit different, so we're going to bring him into what's like for a bit more cardio. Yeah, bring it on, see how I do. Insane, the views they got. Like, serious paper, isn't it? Yeah, makes money, makes sense. That's the way it looks. Yeah, so that is— that's like your view on the, like, the thing? Why not? Surely even when McGregor had a freak people against him, like, makes money, makes sense. It brings different— it brings a different audience. Yeah, the normal boxing fans. So why not do it, you know? I mean, yeah, listen, they're trying to get a freak on, you know? Yeah, there you go, man. Could be the next move for this channel. Yeah, yeah, Linda can be the ring girl. Yeah, do you want to fight Rob of all the YouTubers? Oh man, that's a big question. Now we'll bleep it out. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, true. You can coach me today. Oh my God, what the fuck is this? Fucking dead. Oh my God. Okay, that's a jab lead hand. Yeah, perfect. Stay loose, relaxed. I'm right-handed as well, but I used to box as a southpaw. Henry Cooper was orthodox and he was left-handed, and that's why he was knocking lads out with the left too. There you go. All right, jab, jab. All right, that's it. That's lovely, guys. Nice and loose now. Don't be jumping around. Yeah, stay solid in your feet. Relax now. I do this. Now you push down. If you're gonna box, stay self-taught. Now I see how people get addicted to it. Like, it's the coolest sport there is. Joe Rogan said, he goes, yo, when a fight breaks out, where does everyone run to? To go watch the fight. That's it. Lovely. Double. Lovely. Yeah, 3. That's nice, isn't it? Double jab. Look at me. No power. See, it comes quicker. You don't put any power in it, it's quicker. It's speed you want. How do you feel? Good, man. Man, I need to do a bit of this, like release some stress, get some cardio in. It's unreal. So atmosphere as well, proper old school. Guys, cheers! You're sparring with more guys now? Yeah, let's do it. Come on, let's do it. We're liven it up. We're going straight to sparring. Well, I'm going to have to give him a few slaps because if I don't, he's going to be on YouTube with me sticking something. I have to come out, I have to give it to him. This is my new dentist. He looks like a little bull over there, doesn't he? He's gonna come out and try to give it everything for those 40 seconds. So expect the worst. So I've been told, hold back a little bit, don't give all my energy in the first round. That's what Declan's expecting. So I'm gonna go in, try to relax, keep it loose. I'm learning. I'm all good. Yeah, learning as you go. Beautiful. And that was only a minute and a half. Fuck me. So you have another minute and a half to go before the fucking round even starts. Okay, so relax. Listen, most people don't have the balls to get in the ring. There you go. You have to say that, you know. Most people are afraid of hand-on-hand combat. Going down, man. So just walk. Now you know that you're going I'm gonna blow you out pretty soon. I'll let you walk, walk, and then hit your little body points. Okay, now. Minute and a half gone. Another minute and a half left. Look at her laughing at me. Time, time, time. Now that's a 2-minute round. That was, that was a 2-minute round. That was good. Your first one was a minute and a half. That's a 2-minute round. Okay, this is your last one. Yeah. Oh yeah, this will be a 3-minute round. So you see where the 3 minutes are. Breathe, man. If you need a breather, don't stop the bike, boss. Yes, I'm following you there. Okay. Winded. 10 seconds then. If you do what you've done, the fight is on. Oh my God, Jesus Christ, oh my God. Man, I love that. Holy shit. So much more difficult than going to the gym for an hour. Oh my God. So now we're just going to do a bit of hard work, a bit of bag work, and finish things off. Hold. I'm holding you. That's it. Little bit. Come on. Keep it up, keep it up. That's it. Keep walking. Keep down, keep down. You need before the Maldives tomorrow. Yeah, unreal. Right, we'll finish up here. Car keys. So much love, really appreciate it. Right, so Rob, how was that? My God, it was tough, but I absolutely feel amazing afterwards. There's something like, I guess the adrenaline going, like you step in, you're just like, oh my God, you know, I'm actually going to get digged around here. And then you take a punch and you try to keep going and it feels like you're in a movie. It's amazing and it's adrenaline rush that you don't get from just going going to the gym because you're literally against someone. But, uh, big shout out to Deco again, like a really old friend of mine, and we always run into each other, talk about doing stuff like this. So it's great that we finally got to do it, and, uh, definitely won't be the last time you see me in the ring. But all right guys, so boxing was amazing, and before our next session, the weight training, conditioning, I want to fuel up a little bit. So get some carbs and protein in and also some leafy green vegetables, got to hit those micronutrients. Yeah, Sprites, one of my favorite places to go to. So yeah, let's eat. Mm. All right, so that is a big bowl of goodness. We got loads of peppers, veggies, seeds, grains, mixed leaves, and double chicken. Get that protein hit. And then there's also some sweet potato in there. So we're gonna eat this, digest for a little bit, and hit the second training session of the day. We're about to choose out of the tree workouts. Workouts that JJ's trainer sent us. So yeah, still a bit to go. Alright people, so we're just outside Rod James and we are about to pick a workout. We're gonna go in and kill it. So I'm feeling the first one that Leon Wills sent us. So it is warm-up, 5 minutes on the Assault Bike, box jumps, push-ups, and you superset them. After each box jump set, you do 20 push-ups. Compound movement squats, love it. 5x10, so I'm well used to that. That's the rep range I typically work in. Hanging knee raises, walking lunges, pull-ups, 5x10. Again, this suits me, this suits me. And then circuit for time, this would be difficult, is with a 40kg barbell is clean and press, burpees, clean and press, burpees, clean and press, burpees, clean and press, burpees, and then 300 reps of abs. So right All right, that's the workout. We're gonna go in and, uh, yeah, do our best, see how we get on, then wrap up the video. Oh my God, it's literally a jungle. We picked the busiest time to go. Fuck. Yeah! I got that thing! Yeah! I've got that thang! Got that thang! Yeah! I've got that thang! Alright, so that is the workout done. We are alive and now it's getting pretty late. So we're going to head home to the apartment, get some food, bit of a recap of the day, short Q&A, finish up this vlog. Boom. Alright guys, we're finishing off the day with 2 scoops of Ghost Whey Protein. There's also a banana, some skim milk in that as well, and then a burrito bowl from NutriQuik. So again, this is the chicken fajita one. If you want meal prep in Ireland, this is where to go to. And again, the discount code for Ghost is Lipset. That gets you 20% off the entire store. Now while I wait for this to cool down and sip on my protein shake, we're gonna do a few questions and about the fight and the training plans. All right, let's get into it. First question: how would you rate the training plan? All right, so first one, the boxing part of the plan, uh, he had some amazing coaches. I was following the fight all the way, and again, it did the job. So the boxing part of the plan was great. In terms of training plan, I think that was really good as well. It was like a full body circuit strength conditioning all combined into one, and that would have a good carryover over into the boxing ring while also building some muscle. Because JJ, he did a serious transformation leading up to the fight. Like, you know, he looked really good. And you got to realize he was coming from like, you know, he was a gamer, you know, he wasn't an athlete. So to see him in the ring, you know, he looked right up there with Logan, who again has an incredible physique. And the training plan obviously did its job. So yeah, I rate it highly and I think it was a solid plan. Okay, so second question is Who do you think was the fair winner? I think the fight was close at some stages, but I think KSI was the fair winner. You know, he had the balls to throw some brave punches, and you know, he really landed some amazing connections. And I think the judges scored it fairly, and KSI was the fair winner. But it's still a great fight, and you know, at the end of the day, two of them were real winners. Like, they blew up their, their personal brands. Both of them got paid heavily. There was really no loser, to be honest. But in terms of like the judges' scores, I'd agree with that. Is it harder to prep for a bodybuilding show or for a boxing fight? This is my favorite question, and this is where I can kind of give a better answer to, because I have done 2 bodybuilding shows in the past, one where I came nearly dead last and one where I came first place. And with bodybuilding and competing, you kind of know what to do, alright? It's all down to you to stick to the plan, you know, like losing body fat in terms of being in a calorie deficit and the length you're in it for. It's like a mathematical equation, okay? You know what to do. You've just got to stick to it. Same with the gym, you know, you have your lifts and you just got to focus on maintaining strength during this cut to hold on to your muscle. So competing and, you know, getting stage lean, it's kind of simple and straightforward. Of course, it takes a huge amount of discipline and dedication, but then when you add in boxing, you gotta have the weight cut. So again, that's diet there. You've got to, you got to actually work on your skills. So that's a whole other aspect there. You got to work on the strength and conditioning and the training part. So then that's another aspect thrown into it. And then I think it was Mike Tyson who said, everybody got a plan until they get punched in the face. So, you know, you got to go up against an opponent and actually fight them. So I think boxing master— prepare for that is way harder. That's coming from someone who stepped on stage. So both of them are very, you know, noble pursuits. Both of them are very hard things to do. Both of them are something that 0.1% of the population will do in their whole life, okay, or can do. So both of them take huge amounts of discipline, but I think training for a boxing match and competitively and doing well in it, it's harder. How long do you personally think you could keep up with that training plan? So I know they didn't do that the whole way through, and they definitely periodized their training and their levels of intensity. So, you know, coming up to the fight, they're gonna, you know, lower it down, relax a little bit, and just work on technique. That was very tough. I would say I'd run that for, you know, 90 days at the most. It depends how hard you're going every single day, but yeah, roughly 90 days. Um, I think that's how long he ran that plan for. Again, I'm not too sure, but it's definitely tough to keep up with. And with all the cardio aspects, you know, the sparring sessions, that's going to take a toll on your whole body, you know. So I think I could keep up with that plan for maybe 90 days, and my recovery would have to be very much on point. Okay, so would you Rob Lipsett ever get in the ring? Big question. And you know, it seems to be the hot trend at the moment. I'm gonna say yes, I would. You know, I'm not exactly starting from zero. I'm a fitness YouTuber. I've been putting in the work in the gym for years. With that said, my boxing skills are beginner at best, so I'd have so far to go in terms of boxing. But again, it would be amazing to really push yourself and test yourself like what Logan and JJ did. So, you know, sure, it's definitely something I would do. Wouldn't rule it out. I got mad respect for you guys for doing it. It would be so difficult, but yeah, I would do it for sure. Alright guys, that is the end of the video. Be sure to leave it a thumbs up if you enjoyed it. And if you're new here, maybe you're searching for a fight, maybe you stumbled across this video, hit that subscribe button right now. I promise you won't be disappointed. I am gonna finish up this meal, it is staring at me in the eye. And then in the morning we are going to the Maldives, so gonna be vlogging loads over there, so be sure to tune in. So yeah, I'll see you guys on the beach. Keep it real, I'm out here. Peace.
