I Ate Nothing But Pancakes For 24 Hours and this is what happened…

Rob Lipsett, founder of Fuelcakes, eats only his protein pancakes for 24 hours across four meals: bacon and eggs for breakfast, a post-workout stack with Oreos and berries, chicken and pancakes for dinner, and peanut butter banana for dessert. He shares cooking tips, macros, and how to avoid palate fatigue when eating the same thing all day.

I own a protein pancake company called Fuelcakes. Today is Pancake Tuesday. For me to not eat pancakes all day, record it, and put it on the internet would be a disgrace. So that's exactly what we are going to do. But before we start, let's get the pleasantries out of the way. Fuelcakes is 40% off today with the code PancakeDay40. This is the only time we've ever done this. Today is our equivalent of Black Friday. So the company's about a year old, and like I said, first time ever doing on this, so take advantage, first link in the description box. Today I'm estimating to eat maybe 4 separate pancake meals, which I'm very excited for, and I'm also gonna do some different combinations and recipes so you guys can try it out as well. So give the video a thumbs up, let's get stuck into the day. It's gonna be a good day. We get to eat pancakes all day. You know, what can go wrong? So let's get into it. So what is the selling point of Fuelcakes? Not only are the macronutrients, the calories, the ingredient profile, the quality of the ingredients insane, but I think this should be the motto of the company: protein pancakes that don't taste like protein pancakes. They taste like normal pancakes. So I'm very excited today to cook these, and here's a little look of some of the concoctions, the ingredients that are going down today. But it is breakfast time, so we're gonna go for something kind of breakfasty. We got our 3 pans at the ready, and a huge tip, okay? Is get a good pan. Not only get a good pan, right, get the little mini pan. If anyone saw my first ever OG pancake video, which is actually like the reason behind starting the whole company— so I love these, definitely pick one up, great purchase. But yeah, we got the triple pan action going on, so let's whip up meal 1. All right guys, so meal 1, we're gonna go for some bacon, eggs, maple of course, and then Fuel Cakes to start the show as well. So first off, we're gonna cook the bacon and eggs, and then we're gonna go through all the Fuel Cakes. Now today isn't a calorie challenge, okay? I want to eat somewhat sensibly, so I'm not gonna— well, try not gonna do those ridiculously large stacks and stay somewhat in my calorie goal. This is gonna be like the pancake diet. This is like legit full day of eating. Like, I'm definitely gonna hit my protein intake as well. But so we're gonna use our mini pan as well and put it all together. So right, 3, 2, 1, let's go!
All right guys, so meal 1 and pre-workout.
Workout meal, what a way to start the day. So we got some streaky bacon. Usually I go for the lean stuff, but today it's just a day for it, okay? You gotta have that classic streaky bacon. We got nice 2 thick fuel cakes there and 2 whole eggs scrambled up. So I'm gonna demolish this now, I'm so hungry. And this is something that I don't make too much. I always make kind of more sweet ones, so I think savory is actually kind of one of the best options you can go for. So I'm excited, let's go. People like to see me eat the food on the channel as well, okay? So This is the next tutorial, how to get the perfect bite, right? So we got the little double stack here as well. We put some eggs on just like so. All right guys, so you like to see me eat on this channel, so here you go. This is the perfect bite right here. We got the maple, we got the double stack of fuel cakes, some eggs there as well. So you get everything in the one bite, right? Mmm, you got the sweetness from the fuel cakes, the maple, the crunch from the bacon, and then the eggs is just the perfect addition. All right, so I'm gonna eat this, then we're gonna go off to the gym. What time do you live? The sun's out, it's Pancake Tuesday, it's also leg day. The stars have aligned. Meal 1 was delicious and now it set me up for a nice little leg day. So we're going to get stuck in. This is UP Marbella, which is probably my favorite gym to do leg day in. Anyways, I'm going to do a quick little edit for this and then we're going to get back to the pancake eating. So let's go. Alright, so finished off some abs there. Now it's back to the good stuff. It's back to why you're here. It's back to what this video is all about— eating pancakes. Post-workout, we're going for something a little bit bold, okay? Something sweet, high carb. This is gonna be amazing, right? So we have got our Fuelcakes mix right here, and the mixability on it is so good, okay? I recommend, right, all you need is a drop of milk— this is what this is made with— a drop of milk and however much mix you want, okay? So I put about 5 scoops into this, and you just stir it with a spoon, okay? No need for a blender. I remember back in the day when I would like make them from scratch, make my own recipe, you'd blend them up and just half the mix is just stuck in the blender, okay? So no more of that. I recommend just using a spoon and a bowl because you can like scrape every last bit out. We've got 2 white chocolate coated Oreos. Okay, that's— this is very bold. Then we've got some strawberries, blueberries, and then the usual maple syrup. We're also gonna put some white chocolate. So we have white chocolate spread and also these white chocolate chips. I think I'm gonna put this in the mix so it all melts and then put a little dollop of that on top. So it's gonna be a big one, it's gonna be delicious. So let's put it together.
Hey, we're going for a chip in the gob.
Okay, it's gonna be a good day together. Oh yeah! Got it in one!
I swear!
Terrible.
Yeah. Boom!
I'm in the zone.
So there's a bit of a photoshoot going down.
Okay, this one is so, it's so beautiful, okay. And my little tip here for decoration, okay, a lot of people try cram everything on top of the stack, okay. There's plenty of room around the plate, it looks good, it's like a canvas, okay, use it, it's an art. And that is ready to eat, people, look at that. If that is not the best stack of pancakes in the world, I don't know what is.
Let's go.
All right, okay, taste test. Everybody knows the rules, you have to get one of every topping on it for full effect. Okay, so we got the straw, got the fuel cakes, little piece of Oreo back here, the bloop. Okay, all right, let's go. Did you hear that crunch? That's the Oreo. Wow. I always think I'm like a savory guy, and then I eat dessert or have something like this, and I'm like, I'm completely, complete opposite.
I think you're a sweet person.
I think I'm sweet too. I think I'm sweet too. Right, next meal though is going to be savory. And a little, little tip, right? So back in the day when I'd dabble in a 20,000 calorie challenge, right, they'd write me off for a week. But my tip for doing them is switch between sweet and savory meals. Um, it's something to do with your taste buds. They don't get used to it. But if anyone wants to do a 20,000 calories or 10,000 calorie challenge, that's a good tip for you. All right, so rule number 1, always wear a nice little pink oven mitt. What's this with mooses on them? Is moose— is that— is it like mice or is moose a word? Mooses?
Mooses?
Is it mice?
Mice?
Could be mice.
I don't know.
Right, so we are going for an absolute classic, something kind a little bit more savory. Chicken and waffles recipe, apart from it's not waffles, it's pancakes. I remember actually the first time I had chicken and waffles, it was in Drake's restaurant. I think he's like one of the owners in Toronto on the Alfleet World Tour in 2017. First time ever having it, and I was like, chicken, waffles, syrup, how is this gonna go? It was amazing. So very minimal ingredients here, like I said, just few cakes. Syrup and the breaded chicken, right? Usually I just go chicken breast. Linda's having a chicken breast for dinner. The macros obviously are not as good in these, but today we're having a bit of fun, okay? It's pancake day. So I'm going to put the mix into the pan and I'll show you guys the end result.
Are we going for the flip yet?
Not yet. And that is— that's how you ruin a good pancake, is patience. Not having enough patience, you flip it too early. And you know what I was thinking, right? Okay, I was about to do this. I said to Linda, she didn't approve, right? I was gonna make a chicken burger out of these two. I'm gonna try one day.
Yeah, we will try one day. One day the stack will look completed with the chicken.
Right now we're sick with the chicken waffles, but I think one day two fuel cakes, like sweet chili mayo, bit of coleslaw, the full chicken burger. I think that'd be amazing. So right, let's flip these. Oh yeah, yum, perfect. Very nice and round.
See those pancake makers, the ones with like 6? They're like a mini hob.
I don't know how I feel about them. I think that's kind of cheating a little bit.
We're gonna get one. I'll surprise you with one for Villa Lipsett.
Great surprise, tells me what I'm getting. These are pretty much done. Oh my God, look, look how round that is. What I like about pancakes is they give you a second chance. If you burn one a little bit too much on one side, you just flip it over. You've learned your lesson, you start again. End product in 3, 2, 1. Here we are, this is my dinner. I am so excited to eat this. This looks amazing. We have to use a lot of syrup in this because the chicken obviously a little bit dry, so to really kind of bring out the flavor in that, we went hard on the syrup. And one thing I'm gonna make, I'd say within the next 6 months, is some sugar-free syrup, fuel syrup. So much in the works that I can't wait to show you guys. This is actually a very special day because we're close to selling out of our current stock, and once this current stock is gone, we've got a lot of stuff to take to the next level, so stay tuned. But right, I'm gonna eat this.
Taste test time.
You know what it is. Okay, this could go either way. All right, see, I love with the other one just earlier, we had the Oreos supplying the crunchiness. So we got the chicken, so it was nice getting a bit of texture. Look at that inside, is perfect. It's like a steak, you know, you got to have it like medium rare almost. Let's go.
Mm, looks amazing.
I don't know if my favorite one after eating sweet for most of the day, this is a treat. That said, I'm gonna finish off the day with dessert as well. So one more recipe to go. Hope you're enjoying the video. Give it a thumbs up if you are, and I'll see you at the final meal.
Fix this box on shelf.
It has to be perfect. All right guys, last recipe. Let's do this. Let's finish strong. It would be a disgrace not to have a peanut butter banana pancake today. They're two of the kind of like Ogee toppings, and we're gonna add some sprinkles to it as well to make it look pretty. So that's what's going down for the final meal. Today was actually a very enjoyable day of eating. It was kind of normal, like there was like chicken in there, there's eggs. It wasn't too different from my normal day of eating, it's just with a lot more pancakes. Well, not that much more, but I'm feeling pretty good. Like I'm not feeling like terrible compared to when I do a calorie challenge, or you know, I trained well. I think this isn't going to mess up my cut for summer or anything. It's going good, so let's do this. Putting this all together, last one. I'm thinking 2 thick ones, but we'll see how it turns out. Last meal of the day. This was probably my favorite all-time day of eating ever. We have the banana peanut butter, we got some chocolate sprinkles on top, some chocolate malt balls, the usual maple syrup, and this, right, I like it, okay? It is high protein, low fat Greek yogurt, so extremely macro-friendly, but I've put it in a little jar, a little pot, which I think makes it look really nice. I think my presentation's on point here. Not only is it macro-friendly, but let's just close our eyes and pretend it's pure whipped cream, okay? That's what it kind of looks like. Last meal of the day. I hope you enjoyed this video. Let's do a taste test and finish it up. All right, taste test. Everybody knows the rules. You got to get one of every topping on the bite, okay? So let's, let's do this, okay? We got the banana, we got the sprinkles here. We're gonna get some peanut butter, dollop that on, and then the Greek yogurt as well. We're just gonna put that on like that, okay? Right, let's go.
Mmm.
So that tastes absolutely terrible. Of course it doesn't taste terrible, it tastes amazing! In terms of my favorite flavor of the day, I actually think it was the chicken and waffles. It was just something different that I don't usually make. I make something like this a lot, but my favorite part about this meal is actually the Greek yogurt. It's cold and the pancakes are hot, and it kind of goes well with the peanut butter. So I think it's all about having different textures. In your pancake recipes that really bring it to life. Anyways, guys, again, if you want to try out the best protein pancakes in the game, the link is in the bio. 40% off with code PancakeDay. Drop a comment if you've had them before, because again, I love hearing what you guys think. I love hearing your feedback. So anyways, give me a thumbs up. I'm gonna head off here. Next video, probably gonna be another episode of Protein Property and Pumping Iron, and then also a really informative video that got planned up, so make sure you subscribe. I'll see you in the next one, and keep it real.
