In this vlog, Rob Lipsett walks viewers through a full day of his life as he prepares for a trip to Portugal. He starts with a detailed morning kale‑smoothie recipe designed for pre‑workout fuel, then heads to Raw Gym for a high‑volume push‑day workout, explaining his push‑A/push‑B split and demonstrating heavy sets, drop sets, and shoulder work. After the session he shares his post‑workout nutrition philosophy, showcasing a pasta‑and‑turkey meal, a Greek‑yogurt “ice‑cream” snack, and his stance on total daily carbohydrate intake, linking to a nutrition article. Rob also captures his first footage with an Olympus camera, highlighting depth‑of‑field shots. He then unboxes and reviews the new D‑CORE performance apparel from a sponsor, describing tops, shorts, and leggings. The vlog continues with his packing process for the upcoming Portugal trip, outlining gym‑related gear, clothing, and travel plans. Finally, he reveals his old upper‑leg tattoo, recounts getting it at age 15, and advises younger viewers to wait until they have more life experience before getting permanent ink. The video blends fitness routine, gear review, travel prep, and personal reflection in a conversational, enthusiastic style.

Alright, back on the kale shakes, the morning smoothie hype. It is going to be white chocolate Impact Whey isolate, kale, half a banana, almond milk, some creatine— not naughty, I know, what can I do— and some of these like 100% cocoa chocolate chips. Let's do it. Alright, so stressful morning getting some kind of last-minute things ready for Portugal. Today is Tuesday and we are leaving on Thursday, so just getting everything together. I'm about to go hit the gym and I'm gonna take some photos for the first time ever with this bad boy, so I'm excited. Excited to get a pump on as well. I'm hitting a push day. All right, so just arrived at Raw Gym and it looks nice and quiet today, which is nice for a change. Gonna start off with some bench, get this push day underway. I'm excited.
This was like one of the first ever stringers I ever bought.
Really? In my life.
I like—
I was like, I was like, one year left and hardly getting into it.
I was totally zzz.
Reps for zzz. Please, Rob Lipsett.
Alright, so I didn't record that because we were caught in the moment, but basically I did my last working set. Working heavy set and then straight away, so you don't have to like unrack the weights or anything, set up a bench and just go straight into a drop set.
Feels amazing.
But no, no, yeah, I'm gonna go to like complete failure and like don't help me even if I do fail, just let me get through it. But, uh, all right, so I'm gonna see how many reps I can get. This is after 3 to 4 heavy working sets and a drop set, so this is like second drop set, I guess you call it, back off set.
Yeah, third one. Yeah, oh yeah, third.
I love high volume training. Like, you know, when it comes to like how much I love high volume, on a scale of 1 to Chris Jones, I'm like, you know, Chris Jones being very high volume, I'm Chris Jones.
Aah!
This is like, just feeling it after all that pressing. So like, I'm gonna go pretty light with the inclines here. I'm gonna make it almost kind of like a fly movement, like really slow control, focus on the contraction. So check it out.
Ah, big stretch.
I know, uh, chest is done for the most part and I'm moving on to some shoulders.
So starting off with a pressing movement. Now you know I have like 2 push days a week, push A and push B. One I start with chest, one I start with shoulders. The reason for that is obviously you're going to be strongest on your first few exercises, but by throwing in shoulders today, I'm also getting that frequency.
So later on the week, you know, I'm getting the best of both worlds, if you get me.
So let's go. All right, so just finished up in the gym there. That was Definitely, genuinely one of the best workouts I've had in a long time. I'm like shaking afterwards. I've like a ringing in my ears. Feels like I just went to like a festival or a concert. But anyways, and also I got some really cool shots on the— that was my first time trying out the Olympus and I got some really cool shots. Check them out. Look at depth of field on that bad boy. Cannot wait to get some more with these. Also, you know how I just compared that workout to like a festival, a concert, you know? That's my high, that's my buzz, that's where I get a thrill from. So, you know, you can call that lame, whatever you want, but hey, it's just me. Don't knock it till you try it. So we're gonna head upstairs now, get something to eat. Hungry. Right, post-workout is gonna be pasta, turkey, some mixed veggies. Simple. People like always look at pasta as like a bad carb or something, and I'm just like, like, as long as your diet consists of mainly whole foods and, you know, you're getting your veggies in, your fiber, like just focus on total daily carb intake. I'll actually link one of my favorite articles ever just right below here about— it's called, you know, The Science of Nutrition: Is a Carb a Carb? And I think everyone should have a read of it. Another funny point is that like people always look at rice for— as like a really nutritious carb source, and they're like, it's not even that micronutrient dense at all, or it doesn't even have that much fiber in it apart from brown rice. Just focus on total daily carb intake. Make your life easy on yourself. Okay, I wasn't gonna bother vlogging this, but I just had to because it just looks too damn good. So it is like Greek yogurt, fat-free Greek yogurt, put in the freezer for a while to make it like ice cream, chopped banana, chia seeds, and then some powdered peanut butter with casein protein powder mix in to make it like melted peanut butter or something. Ah, I don't know. But yeah, give it a try. Also, package from these guys. It is not supplements though, it is some workout gear. It would seem. Let me take this out of the box. Alright, so it is their new D-CORE range. So they gave me stuff like performance tops, shorts, long sleeves. These look like board shorts. And they gave me some leggings for leg day. They look pretty cool. They have like a design on the end of them. So yeah, thanks fellas, appreciate it. Actually, I want to crack open the leggings. Yeah, they're badass. All right, thought I'd quickly show you what I'm having for dinner. So it's like a big burrito bowl/salad. So we got like kidney beans, peppers, sautéed onions, mushrooms, iceberg lettuce. There's some salsa in there, some Walden Farms calorie-free Thousand Island dressing. It's the bomb. Then of course some H2O. Just doing some packing before Portugal, which I'm leaving Thursday morning. So that's just gym gear, and I'm planning on training like every day when I'm out there. I've already done research on gyms, they look cool. And like 7 casual t-shirts, a lot of Alphalete stuff, then like shorts, swim shorts and stuff, hats. Gotta pack that one. Let me know if you'd be interested in that. That was just like a one-off, but I think it looks pretty cool. Give you a look at the detailing there. So yeah, it's all about your feedback, guys. Alright, so I was just about to finish up the vlog there, and then I remembered on Snapchat I said that I would show you all my tattoo. OG subscribers will know I have a tattoo, and newer ones won't. But so a little bit of a backstory: it sucks, it means absolutely nothing to I got it when I was 15, when I was running wild, and yeah, I don't regret it because like I think back and it's like, they were such good times, you know, like, and it was just that there's a lot of sentimental value to it. But I do not recommend any 15-year-olds or any young people to go get tattoos because you probably haven't had enough life experiences to warrant you getting a decent one. So hold out and be smart about getting tattoos. But anyways, here's my shitty tattoo. So yeah, it's on my upper leg, so sometimes I forget it's even there, honestly, because it's like within the box line. But I think that's a good way to wrap this vlog up. Catch you in the next one. Keep it real.
