Welcome to today's vlog. We are in Manchester doing a photoshoot with Myprotein. I am with the big slice, as he says it, but he's the marketing manager of Myprotein, Callum. He's Irish as well, so we're bros. The plan for today is we're going into the city center and we're shooting a few new looks. Yesterday I was gonna vlog. Today's Tuesday. I was gonna vlog yesterday, but we just had a nice relaxing spa day. If you have me on Instagram stories, you've seen what went on. So yeah, get on that. But, uh, I'll catch up with you guys in a little bit. Thank you, thank you. Have a good day, bro. Cheers, bro.
Thank you.
Okay, so we're getting the train now into Manchester center, if we make the train. We're starting the day off in Impret a Manger. Is it Impret a Manger? Like, how do you pronounce it? You know me. So just got a large Americano and this kind of yogurt and granola bowl. So just a light breakfast. We're gonna have this, then we're gonna go meet everyone else for the shoot and go to the first location. We are in the center of Manchester and there's a photographer up there and we're getting a few shots in outfit number 2. So I'm gonna run across this little square. So here's the Myprotein team here and I will check in with you guys in a bit. We're like halfway through the shoot. This is my most recent outfit, and so now we are going to Kettlebell Kitchen. As you can tell by the name, it's like a very fitness-orientated kitchen, so I'm very excited to see what is on the menu. And you want to introduce yourself to the channel?
What? Oh, hello!
She's French.
Yeah.
Parlez-vous français?
Très très bien. Comment ça va?
Uh, I'm, I'm beyond, I'm beyond a French.
I'm beyond, just be beyond.
Just be beyond. There we go. Okay, this menu is ridiculous. Let me give you a quick look. They also got some nacho in there as well. Protein pizza, burgers. I think I'm gonna go for the chicken protein waffle burger. And over there looks like protein ice cream as well. So many gains.
I'm getting some fries, I'm getting a dessert, a shake.
Just one of everything on the menu. That is the peanut butter fries. Oh my God, you recognize this guy?
Okay, we started already. Yeah, yeah, I've bumped into this guy and look how shredded he is. I'm gonna call him the Shredded Time Captain Shred. Hey, what's going on though?
Give us a look at the legs. Oh, he didn't skip leg day.
They're there, man, they're all there. But y'all, listen, make sure you keep tuning to the vlogs. Yeah, I've seen them, they're back, they're fire.
All right, so first off, our food has arrived. The peanut butter fries, they look offensive. How are they?
Amazing.
Oh, one is barbecue. Oh yeah. Oh my God, they are amazing.
That is beautiful.
That is an amazing sight. Bone apple tea.
And in Italian, Italian is buon appetito.
There you go. So here's the full spread. We got like waffle burgers. Look at them! Food porn all over. Eat big, live big, enjoy life. Thanks, Stone People. I would say on average 5 to 6 times a week, uh, usually for about an hour, and that mainly revolves around weight training. I do a little bit of cardio, but more in the form of like, you know, staying active. So like I go for walks with friends, hikes, climb a mountain. No, really, like strict cardio right now. But when I'm competition prepping, I will do some, you know, more regimented cardio.
What's your favorite workout?
I'm not gonna lie, it is definitely the push day. So chest, shoulders, and triceps. You just look awesome after that.
You do push and legs?
Yeah, I do legs, push, pull. Yeah, yeah. And then, but sometimes when I'm traveling and I know I won't make it to the gym so often, I'll do upper lower or even full body. So it kind of depends on what my schedule looks like.
When you train When you travel, you always find a gym? Like, that's your objective? Either in a hotel, but when there is no gym?
Yes, yeah, yeah. Sometimes hotel workouts can suck a little bit, but I always make do with what I have. And you know, if you're in a big city, you'll always find a gym. Some people like to make excuses and they say, "Oh, I can't find a gym," but there's always something if you really want it. But so, even if I'm making the gym 4 times a week or 3 times a week when I'm traveling, that's still way better than nothing.
Alone or do you work out with someone?
More often than not, I work out on my own. Because I like kind of zoning out. I use it as a bit of like quiet time, a bit of me time. And so I usually put in some earphones and listen to some really good music and just, yeah, a bit of alone time.
What's your favorite playlist?
I've actually got a Spotify playlist. It's so mixed. It's literally got like house music, EDM, all the way down to like heavy metal and old school rap. How do you like Spotify? Yeah, Spotify. Yeah, yeah, @RobLipsett. Yeah. Well, I actually follow flexible dieting, so, you know, every day I'll allow myself to eat something that I really like as long as the majority of my intake is coming from whole foods and, you know, plenty of fruit and veg, you know, I'll allow myself some fro-yo or some pancakes or whatever it is just to keep me on track. And so when it comes to the weekend, I don't actually feel the need to, you know, go out and have, you know, a big massive cheat meal, you know, because I have like, you know, a sustainable diet. And I think that that should be the first thing that you look for when you're setting out, starting out a new diet plan, is am I going to actually stick to this? So I think that's very important. But yeah, the diet I follow would be called flexible dieting. When did you start How long have you been taking supplements? I'd say I tried when I was like 16 or like 15, very young, and I thought supplements were like more important than food, and I would like spend so much money on them, and I'd like forget about the main things, which is training, nutrition. Since I became about, you know, 18, 19, 20, I educated myself on supplements and, you know, started taking them properly and consistently and taking the right ones.
What do you take right now?
My main supplements are creatine monohydrate, caffeine, or pre-workout, something in the morning, uh, fish oils, vitamin D, and perhaps a multivitamin or green supplement as well if I don't feel like I've eaten enough vegetables during that day. So they're my main ones. And then like from Myprotein, I love a little like the snacks, like the bars, the cookies.
And which one is your favorite?
I like the high protein bar and the baked cookie as well. Oh, so good. Yeah, yeah, I eat like 4 of them in one go. And so I have some of them, and the beef jerky is like very handy when you're traveling as well. Well, I was in Australia about 3 weeks ago, if even, and I just like fell absolutely in love with the place. So, and because it's like different side of the world, when it's winter in Ireland and UK, it's summer there. So I'm gonna go over when it's winter in Ireland. I'm gonna stay there for like 2 months. So right now I'm in love with Australia. Okay, cool.
Um, favorite color?
Favorite color? I don't know if it's even a color, but black. It's a mix of all the colors. Exactly, yeah, yeah, it just goes with everything. Yeah, so that's probably the color I wear the most, but the color I like the most, maybe light blue, because it reminds me of like, you know, clear skies and stuff like that.
Um, favorite superhero?
Oh, uh, definitely Iron Man, because he's kind of like realistic and he's a badass, and it's like he doesn't have any like magical superpowers, he made all superpowers himself.
Yeah.
And yeah, so I really like Iron Man. And superpower? If I could have a superpower, it would be to control time. Oh yeah, so you could like rewind time and you could like go back in time and think of a really good idea that's already been done, and then you can do that idea. Yeah, so I'd do that. Yeah, yeah, I'd be, I'd be like, like just— yeah, yeah, I'd be— I'd like, I'd like invent Google or something.
You want to do a tea?
Yeah, so this year I want to travel as much as possible and I want to document that as much as possible. So 2016 I was kind of laying the foundations. Now 2017 I want to grow on those foundations, have a bit of fun, and see as much of the world as possible. And with that comes great content. So I'm going to be growing my audience. So this year is going to be just really bring the best content possible I can to my viewers.
3 words that describe you the most?
Okay, wow, that is like It's on the spot as well. I definitely say I'm outgoing and open-minded. I know there are two words in one word, but let me wave it. And let me see, last word— friendly. I'm always— I always want to make friends with everyone. And like, even just there, I met a guy who watches my videos, and it's just like such a cool feeling. So I'm just like, yo, we're mates now.
Stay human, you know, like, and we follow it.
Exactly, yeah, I think like one of my missions is always to connect with as many people across the world as possible.
Do you have a favorite quote? Even like motivational or work-wise, I don't know.
Yeah, definitely, there's always a quote that I refer back to and it's, "I'll either find a way or make one." So a lot of people look for excuses when they feel they can't do something and I hate that. It's just like excuses are just, they're hard to live listen to, and you can tell immediately when someone's just making excuses. So I try to avoid that completely. Yeah, I need to find a way to make one. A lot of people give up when they don't see immediate results because they're too impatient, and that goes for anything— fitness, business, relationships, whatever it is. If things aren't going their way immediately, they give up. And so 95% of people give up, and that 5% that push past the initial struggle, they're the ones who see the results. So yeah, that'd be my advice. Excellent. Thank you so much. What an interview, really good. Oh boy, I don't know why I am so tired, but I am. Had to finish off the day by getting a fresh fade. You know what I'm like, I like the fades. Fresh fade in some place in Manchester now, and me and Callie Watts, he's like, he's like my bodyguard over here, he looks like a bouncer. We are going to maybe get a snack or something and then get a train back to where we belong. So I'll catch up with you guys in a bit, but right now I'm literally feel like I'm falling asleep. I fell asleep in the barber's chair, to be honest. All in all, a really good day. We got some awesome shots from MyProTeam UK, and we got, as you saw, the best feed ever in Kettlebell Kitchen.
So Oh, what is up YouTube? Nearly forgot to finish this vlog. It was a long and— long but fun day in Manchester today. So we went, shot a few locations, got that insanely good food in Kettlebell Kitchen, met some very cool people, got to have a look around Manchester as well. And I also brought my drone out, but it didn't have the SD card in it. I'm not sure if I can find it, so I'm gonna have to look for a place that sells SD cards soon. I look so tired. Oh my god, I need to finish up this vlog here. I'm gonna try to scour the area for like— I think I saw Subway or something. Just try to get some like decent food into me. Gonna finish up this vlog here. Apologies if it wasn't like the world's greatest vlog. Did what I could, but tomorrow we're doing something very cool, so be sure to tune in for that. I'll see you guys then. Keep it real, I'm outta here. Peace.
Okay, bonus footage, woohoo! I went down to the co-op there on the corner, and I was hungry, so I ended up getting a pot of Faye Greek yogurt, 50 grams of protein in the whole thing. I got some Berry Medley, and I'm also gonna put some of this on top of it as well. It's gonna be delicious. And then we got The Hunger Games on Film 4 as well. Life is good, we just living it up here. So that's how I'm gonna conclude the video. See you tomorrow, keep it real.
Peace.
