What's up everyone, welcome to today's video. Now the plan for today is, it is Saturday and let me explain, one of the marketing managers who I'm friends with who works for Myprotein, the company I'm endorsed by, it's his birthday. So a big kind of crew from Myprotein is coming over to Dublin for the weekend and now we're gonna go meet up with a workout and the timing is actually perfect because my contract for Myprotein is being reviewed, you know, subs are going up, views are going up, Everything's going great, so we're just gonna review it. Also, they're my friends, so can't wait to see them all as well. So now it is like midday. We've got to meet at the old Raw Gym where I used to train. So like any new subscribers, you can see that. So I can't wait to train there. It's kind of like a good change of scene. So we're gonna go there, take you throughout my day, and venture out into Dublin City. In the last video, I was feeling a bit, you know, a bit run down, but I'm nearly back to 100%. Still a little bit tired, but we're getting there. So I'm just gonna get one of these energy shots into me. There's like not too much caffeine in it, so it doesn't blow the head off you, but it gives you a little boost. So there's this lane right here, and it is like so hard for some people to drive in, but I've literally done it 100 times, so I can do my eyes closed. Like, it's like the smallest lane, but we're all good. What's up? Happy birthday! Happy belated birthday! Big Bear! Look at you, you're dwarfing me! So this is the old Raw Gym. This is where the kind of first proper gym I joined, and it actually only took us like 15 minutes to drive here. So I thought it was kind of further away from where I live now, but I'm definitely going to come here more often because a tip, if you're ever kind of feeling a bit demotivated, is try out a new gym. Just a change of scenery, just kind of change things up, make things interesting. So now I'm hitting a pull day, gonna hit back biceps traps. Yeah, there it is. There's a, there's like a much more old school Don't get it twisted, you was just another player on a hit list. All right, so I'm in the old Raw Gym. This is Anthony. This is the guy that actually taught me to be a personal trainer and gave me my certification. So we go way back. He's like, he's like a gym dad to me.
Yeah, so when he was doing his course, just a brief for you guys, I couldn't get rid of the guy. Now he's worse than the Pope to try and get in touch with. Okay, so this guy's smashing it out of it. Number one student. Okay, so, uh, keep it going, brother.
Appreciate it, man. Always a pleasure.
Always a pleasure.
Talk to you later, guys. I'll see you after.
All right, so me Meeting went well.
Honestly, I love the people that, like, I love all the athletes of Myprotein, and I love, like, the people behind it, like, the whole kind of team, the staff, the marketing managers. They're all just kind of really fun, outgoing people. But yeah, so we went over, like, my future with Myprotein, and, you know, it's looking great. I'm just so lucky to be paired with a company that is just, like, it's really kind of the same kind of vision as me, and they just have a lot of integrity. Like, all their supplements, they're, like, independently tested. They've, like, the best price out there, because the last thing I ever want to do is give you guys shit that I don't believe in, give you guys overpriced supplements that like don't even have any evidence-based kind of science behind them. Because, uh, the day I start promoting bullshit supplements is the day you can click unsubscribe. I always preach that like training and nutrition comes way before supplements. But anyways, so I'm just grabbing a quick lunch. It's going to be a NutriQuik, chicken, broccoli, and sweet potato. Nutri-Quick discount code is NutriRob10 below in the description box. I just tweeted this. I just kind of like realized I still get excited every time I put a YouTube video live. Honestly, you gotta love what you do. Best concert I've ever been to in my entire life— I always say this— was Swedish House Mafia when they played in Phoenix Park in Dublin. Comment below if you were at that historical event. It was insane. All right, so Ben is leaving us now, but look, get a shot of that mountain range. That is beautiful. Ireland, when it is not hissing rain, is a beautiful country. So Ben, I'll see you. Yo, what's up everyone? So it's the following day. I stopped vlogging yesterday just because I'm a bad, bad YouTuber. Just kidding, I'm a great YouTuber and you should totally subscribe. Today I'm just about to hit a quick leg session. I'm actually skipping my rest days because like I said, I'm going to New York on Tuesday, so I know I'm gonna be traveling, so I'm gonna have to take a rest day then, maybe Wednesday as well. But anyways, the plan for today is I've got to do a photo shoot for like a pull-up bar company, like one that you can stick at home. So just a quick photo shoot for them, and then that wraps up the day. That's my productive Sunday. So I'm gonna get a quick session in due to me having to get this photo shoot. Probably not gonna record it because I'm in a bit of a rush, but we'll see. I retweeted a study on my Twitter the other day and it showed that the lying leg curl actually produced more lower hamstring activation than the straight legged deadlift. And now I think the kind of takeaway point is here, for optimal development you want to do your lying leg curl as well as straight leg deadlifts. And a lot of powerlifters powerlifters or like strength-oriented athletes tend to kind of look down upon isolation exercises, but all the best ones, they all make sure to get their accessory work done. So while yes, compounds are way more important, you know, accessory work has its place too. Alright, so we're here now. This shouldn't take too long. It shouldn't be more than an hour. So I'm going to go in, get my Derek Zoolander on, finish things up, and call it a day. I'm literally like, I'm crossing the road and I just hear, "Rob!" And I'm like, "Whoa, who's that?" And then I meet some people who came to Sandyford Raw today.
Trying to—
hoping to find you. Yeah, well, wow, you found me at the right place. That is insane.
I was just sitting in the car.
That was a good productive Sunday. Quick job, pretty straightforward. I just had to do like 1,000 pull-ups. Now to get home and start packing for New York, finish up this video. There's good lighting in this mirror. Looks clean. That's my camera kind of setup as well. G7X, Joby tripod. I am getting a haircut tomorrow, that is for sure. Alright guys, yo, I'm gonna finish up this video here because I have a lot to kind of organize before I go off. What I was talking about in my last video at the end of where I'm traveling to, and there's my travel plans for October, November, so So Tuesday the 25th, I'm going to New York until the 3rd of October. When I come home, I'm home for a few days, and then on the 5th— no, the 8th of November, I am going to Galway, Galway University, for seminar and meetup, a workout, probably gonna go on a night out as well. And then something I'm really excited about is I got a message the other day from Becca from Alfalead, and some of you may know her. She said, hey Rob, are you available on the week of the 11th? I was like, yeah, what's up? And basically we're doing kind of like a tour meetup thing. There's like a charity involved as well. Me, Christian, the Alpha Elite team, we're gonna be in Chicago, Orlando, and San Diego. Like 3 unbelievable places. So I'm back from New York and then, you know, it's not long till I'm off again. So I can't wait to give you guys some really sick vlog footage and just bring you along with me. So I'm hella excited and I can't wait for the content for this coming month. Thank you so much for watching. Keep it real. I'm outta here. Peace.
