I'm Not Afraid | Chicago Vlog

Rob Lipsett spends a day exploring Chicago with crew and YouTubers, hitting The Bean and Willis Tower while documenting casual moments like donuts and a spontaneous gym session. He reflects on his travel philosophy: see as much of the world as possible before death.

Alright everyone, so just woke up, recovered from last night's meetup. My god, we all slept so much, we were so tired, but I feel amazing today. We've got a full free day to enjoy Chicago. Check out this view first of all, okay? By the way, this is like our kind of like rooftop garden patio thing. I love Airbnb. You can like see the whole city, so that's where we'll be going. And it's so warm today. Might as well give you guys a house tour while I'm at it. So you come in here. Igor's in there. I don't think Calvin's in there. And how nice is this living room? It's like dining area, kitchen, it's like a barbecue area, main door, and then this is where I was sleeping. So I've got like my ensuite there, and yeah, my room is a bit of a mess, but it's really nice. Now we're gonna go gather the troops, they're just like across the road, another Airbnb, and then we're gonna head in and just kind of catch up. And like, we're still all blown away by yesterday. We really need to Enjoy ourselves today, relax, recharge the batteries. So it is November and it is t-shirt weather, couldn't be more perfect for a trip around town. So, you know, obviously we were chatting to a lot of subscribers from Chicago yesterday and they recommended The Bean and Willis Tower or something like that. So yeah, we're gonna get our tourist on for today. Okay, so I just spent like the last 2 hours editing and uploading a video because something you just have to do. Everyone else is off at brunch. I just like kind of held back a little bit, but just on their Snapchat, they're only sitting down to eat now, so I'm gonna go meet them. The cafe is just down the road. So relieved to get an upload. If you're a YouTuber, you know that feeling when you're just like dying to put something up. All right, so time to head off out onto the streets. By the way, this is the Airbnb that the other half the crew is staying in. So again, they're both really nice. They're like literally beside each other. So instead of having brunch, I'm not gonna lie, someone brought these donuts called Stan's Donuts meetup, like, me and Christian were literally like, this must have drugs in them. It's like, it's like addictive as heroin. I may or may not have had half of one for breakfast. Let's just pretend that didn't happen. A comment on one of my last videos was, Rob, you're so lucky you get to travel a lot. And that's something I'm very grateful for. I believe that before you die, you should try see as much of the world as possible before you get a one-way ticket to the funeral home. All right, Iguana Cafe, that's where everyone is. Yo, I really do. Should I? What can I do? Look at the Beam. What? I got that on camera, right? So we're heading off to the Beam now, uh, we were like trying to look for like touristy destinations. We narrowed it down to the Beam, the museum, the aquarium, and then the pier. So first off is the Beam. That's so trippy. Ah, that make a cool thumbnail. Yeah, it would. Not as trippy. Confused on how like— how— yeah, yeah. All right, so we're just here chilling at The Bean. It's really cool. It's like a nice clean place, chilled. And a few subscribers even kind of— it's like they knew we were going to be here, but like, they came, we chilled, had a chat, and took some photos. So we're gonna relax here for a while, vlog a little bit, maybe go get something to eat. We shall see. That's cool. My screenshot. This same picture together. Okay. 11:33. You want a bag? Skydeck. You can watch as we pass by some of the tallest buildings, monuments, and structures in the world. You're riding up this 1,450-foot modern marvel in one of the top— That is sick. Oh my, whoa. Okay, now that is a view, dude. That is so cool. They're going. First reaction, let's see it. Oh, I'm going for it, dude. Fun fact about me, I have like zero fear of heights. I actually like heights. That is so cool. Oh dude, thumbnail! Dude, that shot's so cool. Hey, thumbnail, it's good. Cheers! Oh my God, make it look like you're falling though. Oh, that shot is so cool. Oh my God, this is— you be— it has to be— for sure. Do my heart's sake. Oh my God, fun day around Chicago, but now we're going back into our house. Oh, I think you dropped something. But, uh, so we're just gonna like Postmates some food, uh, chill out, relax, edit. You know, it's so funny when you're with like YouTubers, everyone has like laptops on. That's so cool. Damn, YouTube goals right there, bro. Yeah, everyone, clap! Yeah, yeah, yeah! How long have you had the channel? That's crazy. Uh, a little under 2 years. A little under 2 years. Oh, it's depressing. I quit. I'm out of here. Put it there. Yeah, man, I'm stoked, man. Remember, there's 2 people in this world. There's one, and they'll see people doing well, they get jealous. And the other, they see people do well, they get motivated. And you're good. Sweet. All right, so we were meant to like get a group workout in and be all like ultimate fitness YouTubers, but we couldn't find a gym. None of them were open or they didn't allow filming, and that's just not ideal. So instead, we packed in and we're going to get ourselves a Nando's. It's cheeky Nando's. Comment down below if you know about cheeky Nando's, because I actually don't even get it. Show you what I got. I went for a somewhat sensible option, uh, just to get some veggies in, some protein, but like, it's still delicious. I've had it before. It's a quinoa avocado salad with two, two chicken breasts. Had these medium. So right, gonna enjoy this now. So update on the gym situation, we basically got tweeted and someone said they'll hook us up with a gym. It's like 24 hours, so thank God. We're gonna get a leg workout in, me and Christian. I think the rest are training upper body. I do not have like any Addi Powers or Converse or belts or knee sleeves. I've actually got these like Nike Karachis, so you know, hopefully it goes well. Looking good, man. Thanks, bro. I'm pumped. All right, nearly done. I'm just going to finish off with some calves, maybe abs. 2. Christian has packed it in. Typical. All right guys, workout done. We're all finished, we're all tired, we're all going home to sleep because we're up at like 6 AM to go to the airport. And then tomorrow is the last leg of the journey, the big finale. It's San Diego. See you then. Keep it real. Totally fucked up. What the fuck? Oh. Is that— what happened? What happened? Is he your neighbor? Can you stand up? Huh? Can you stand on your feet?
