LETS GO TO MIAMI | How To Stay On Track When Traveling

Rob Lipsett travels from Dublin to Miami for content shoots with Boohoo Man and Alphalete, sharing his pre-flight routine and travel tips. He packs protein bars and carrot sticks to stay on track nutritionally, meets collaborator Joey in London, and emphasizes sleep and a simple fitness routine while traveling.
Hey, how's it going?
Didn't see you there. Anyways, today's the day that we fly to Miami. And what I always do before kind of a long-haul flight— I got a connecting from Dublin to London Heathrow, meet a mate there, and then we're going to Miami. So it's going to be a full travel day. And what I like to do before a travel day like that is to get fresh, you know, put on nice clean clothes, have a shave, shower beforehand. And so when you get to your destination, you're still feeling as fresh as possible. So that's what we're going to do. We're going to drive To the airport. We're gonna drive to the airport now. I'm doing that thing again that my friend runs in Dublin Airport, the valet service. So I'm gonna drive my car there, leave it in Dublin Airport, maybe have a little snack in the airport, and then we're going to London, and then we're going to Miami on an epic trip. So like the video. Here's to a change of scene, even though I really enjoyed making the last week of videos. Let's go to Miami! All right, so we're just about to head out the door now. This is the airport look. We're doing camo Alphalete joggers, Nike 97s, baggy black t-shirt, And then we got the J Alvarez collection from Douchebags that they sent out to me. Less human, more being. So cool, so cool. Right, let's go!
I'm interrupted by a phone ring.
Sometimes I wish I never got the motherfucking thing. Hello, hello, can I speak to Biggie? Yo, who this? Tanisha?
Yo, call back, I'm busy. Why don't you hit me on the box a little later? Washed up, got dressed, hits the elevator, steps out, it's the same old—
So I've come in and the last thing was we want Yaya on the vlog. Here he is. He's not hiding. He's got 100,000 followers on IG. This guy literally just woke me up. I'm outside your house. See you in a couple days. Go Miami. Bye-bye. Check how quick and easy this is, okay? How you doing? What's cracking, buddy? So, key out right outside the airport. There he is. Thank you. Done. Legend, man. Appreciate it. All right, let's get this flight. In the lounge, got a little bit of coffee, some carrot sticks. And some hummus. It's delightful in here. So we just made it to London. Quick little stopover before we make it to Miami. So just got a little snack as well, protein bar and zero calorie drink. So right now we gotta pick someone up. I actually went to Ibiza with this guy, he's crazy. We went to Kygo in the summer with Sony Music. So we're about to meet each other again now and should like start off the trip on a bit of a high. You know, we're both like giddy for this trip. So I found the man himself. Look at this sexy bastard. Look at him. So Joey, why don't you tell the channel a little bit about yourself and what we're doing in Miami. I'm an influencer, blogger, you know how it goes. More on the fashion side. Dibble and dabble in fitness, but not as fitness as my man Rob Lipsett. He does the odd curl. He does the odd curl. Odd crunch. Yeah, it's like a content trip. And so last time I was in Miami, I was there with Mike Thurston and Max Tune. And I swear to God, I was there for 2/3 days. I don't remember it. I was looking at my camera roll and I was like, didn't take one photo. So this time they are the best, but this time it's gonna be more productive. We're shooting for Boohoo Man, um, for Alphalete as well. I'm gonna do some shots for them and just gonna get a ton of content, have a nice time, kick off the new year the right way. So we're about to get on our flight here now, and hopefully it's a good one. Hopefully they've got good movies and food on the plane. See you in Miami!
So you wanna be hardcore with your hat to the back, talking about the gaps in your raps, but I can't feel that hardcore appeal that you're screaming. Maybe I'm dreaming.
With yesterday's video, it was a travel vlog and I was on the go all day, and I don't think that I really went in enough on a topic. And that's what I'd like to do with all these videos. I want you guys to take away something, a little bit of value that you can add to your routine, your fitness routine, improve your lifestyle, whatever it may be. So on topic is a question that I get asked a lot, and it's how do you stay in shape while traveling the whole time? So you just saw a full travel day, and so here's what I do so you don't arrive to the destination feeling like crap, being all bloated and just, you know, kind of feeling groggy and blah. Okay, that's a word, okay, blah, okay. So what I do is prepare in advance. So whether you're cutting, trying to lose a bit of weight, or you're trying to bulk up, you know, you're going to have to keep in mind your goals of what that's going to be. So I'm trying to shred down at the moment a little bit, tidy things up after Christmas. So I'll pack some beef jerky, some protein bars, even some shakes, and I'll try stick to some square meals per day. So if you're traveling all day, you want your diet to be as normal as possible instead of just snacking here and there and just being completely all over the place. So if you have time, you know, do a little bit of breakfast in the morning, especially if you're going on a long flight and you want to like avoid the plane food. Try keep it to a lunch, maybe, you know, have a nice square high-protein dinner when you land. Or on the flip side, if I'm getting a flight at like 9 AM from Dublin, it's like 3 or 4 hours long, so I'll arrive wherever I am at like 2 PM. I might just intermittent fast all day until I can get to my destination and have a good square meal. So try keep your diet as routine as possible. The next tip I have is to just stick to protein, protein, protein. Oops, sorry, sorry, I'm like backing up into the camera. I'm like, uh. So try hit your protein macros because it's so easy when you're traveling to get in carbs and fat. Like you get, when the plane food comes along and the air hostess is like, would you like chicken or beef? I'm like, hell yeah, chicken, hit me that up. And it's just like, you get it and it's just sauce with like one piece of chicken in it, okay? So try, you know, keep that in mind and hit your protein macros. The next is going to be sleep. Okay, sleep is just such an overlooked part of training and nutrition because we think training nutrition and we don't think how much sleep affects that. So one, if you're sleeping, uh, if you're sleeping on the flight or you're good sleep the night before, you're actually gonna have less cravings throughout the day. And if you sleep on the plane, well then you can't eat all the shitty plane food, so that's a bonus too. Try sleep as much as possible and try kind of work it around your schedule so that you can get back onto a normal body clock. Like what I've done today. So any more questions, comment down below. We're going to finish up this video and we're going to go straight into tomorrow's video. So, uh, we got a really cool day just recorded there, and so you're going to see that tomorrow. And that's what I like doing about daily vlogs— you can just roll one into each other and it just flows. So thank you so much, guys. I'll see you next time. Keep it real. I love you. Peace. Oh yeah!
