My Love Island Predictions | Day In The Life

In this 30‑minute vlog, Irish fitness influencer Rob Lipsett spends a day in Dublin that blends a live radio interview about his stint on Love Island with a behind‑the‑scenes look at his personal routine and business ventures. The video opens with Rob arriving at Marconi House for a live interview on Spin 103.8, where he recounts how he was recruited to Love Island, discusses the level of scripting in reality TV, and offers his predictions for the season finale. After the interview, Rob tours the city: he gets his car valeted, visits a sports‑massage and cryotherapy clinic, shops for shoes, eats a poke bowl, and takes a beach walk with his family, announcing that he has become a godfather. Throughout the day he promotes his fitness brand Raw Gym Academy, mentions an upcoming Alphalete clothing tour, showcases new Alphalete duffel bags, and calls for a Dublin‑based videographer/photographer. The vlog mixes casual humor, brand plugs, and personal updates, giving viewers a snapshot of Rob’s lifestyle, entrepreneurial activities, and reflections on reality‑TV authenticity.

Yo, what's up everyone? Welcome to today's vlog. Now we're in town, starting off the day with a radio interview for Spin 103.8. And I apologize, in the last vlog I was looking terrible. I was looking so bad, but I'm feeling way fresher today. It's gonna be a productive day, productive weekend in general. So now we are going into this place called Marconi House. It looks very nice, and we're gonna blast out this interview.
Hey, looking for Spin 103.8?
Hey, yeah, Rob Lipsett.
Hi, Rob Lipsett is here.
There you go.
Brilliant.
Wow, this is nice, isn't it? Hey, yo, what's going on? Great to meet you guys. Thanks. What's going on, fellas? Yo, yo, what's up? Okay guys, so I'm here with the boyos. Yes, you are in the vlog. Yes, you're in it. We made it, bros. Uh, it's all right. We're gonna sit down, we're gonna record a few snippets of this, and then it will also be live on Spin 103.8 on Monday, right? So let's do this, fellas.
Yeah, yeah, just a bit. It won't be that late.
Great riding, Rob.
Oh yeah, how am I looking? I'm looking good. So we'll run through, um, yeah, yeah, the brows. It's all about the brows.
Just, uh, speak right into the microphone there so I get a few levels.
4, 5, 6, 7. All right, thank God, because I don't know what comes after 7. I was like, please call it off. Mr.
Rob Lipsett in studio. Rob, welcome to the show. What's going on?
Thank you for having me.
The king, the absolute king. It's an honor. I'd kiss your feet right now if you'd let me.
We were watching the show all summer and then we heard that a Dubliner was going in and we just lost it because we watch your videos, everyone is so aware of you in Dublin, and then you got onto Love Island. How did it happen?
Um, so it was like I was actually meant to go on the show like as an original, like from the beginning, and I was just unsure about it, you know. I was like You know, it could go very wrong, it could go very right. And so I basically turned it down. And then I was in Ibiza just going about my summer and they're like, "Do you wanna come in just like, you know, as like a bit of a guest star? Like just jump on." And I was like, it was literally in a pool. Like I took the phone call in a pool. I was like having a drink and I was like, "Yeah, sure, go on, I'll do it." So how much preparation did you have? Zero. I literally flew back. Like I've went out, like, you know, I finished my holiday I flew back to Dublin and then 12 hours later I flew out to Mallorca. Like, I didn't even get to do my laundry and I just about told my family. I was like, "Yo, you know that show? It's on ITV. I'll be on it tomorrow." So yeah, I was like, my mom was like, "What?
Who Island?" I think the question we all want to know is, with these reality TV shows, how much of it is scripted? Is it scripted? Are the producers interfering with it? Because a lot, there's a lot of drama on it. Like, how do they do it?
Yeah, I've actually like I haven't been on any other reality TV shows, but I've came, I've encountered them. So for example, once I was out in Marbella and an episode of Made in Chelsea or something, or TOWIE, I forget what it was, was being filmed. And I remember it literally looked like a movie set. Like it looked just proper scripted and proper not real. Whereas Love Island is actually quite real, you know? Like I've also talked to people on Geordie Shore. Again, like, you know, I'm not sure how real that is, but I think out of them all, Love Island is quite real. They kind of just put you in there and they might say like, hey, you know, would you have a chat about this? But that's really as far as it goes.
And were you hoping to find love or were you just like, look, I'm just going to lounge around the pool, take my top off, look good?
Yeah, the latter. But, you know, I was like, hey, you know, if I meet someone in there, cool. And if not, also cool. You know, I was just doing it like just for the hell of it, like for the whole experience.
And for anyone who hasn't watched Love Island, can you briefly give it to us in a small, short synopsis? What is Love Island?
A bunch of people trapped in a villa and looking for love.
Against their will. Yeah, yeah. It's either prison or a bath.
It's like a fun prison. It is, yeah. It's the best prison ever.
And the final is tonight. Do you think the couples are actually real or are they in it for the money? Because the winning couple gets £50,000.
Yes.
So there is a kind of, I do want to find love and the couples do look real, but at the end of it you've got to question it. Are they doing it for the money?
Yeah, I think like obviously there's a bit of both. Like yeah, you do get to know each other really well when you're all living with each other and you're with each other 24/7. And then it's like if you do click it off with someone, great. And then it's like, let's not be ignorant and be— say like, oh, they don't care about the money. Of course they do. That'd be such a nice way to finish off your whole experience. And so I do think the couples are real, but obviously, you know, money is a key driver here as well. So a little bit of both, but yeah, I do think Cubs are real.
And did you have your eye on any girls? I know it was like, "Oh, there's another Irish girl, Shannon, get in there, Rob." Yeah. Was there anyone like Montana, anyone you really thought—
Funnily enough, me and Shannon weren't even in the same villa. Oh. So like, we came in and it's like the main characters got split up and then all the new people went in. So there's like me and 5 other lads and then the 6 other girls in the other villa. So we were with the original girls and a lot of them were taken. You know, you've like Gabby and Marcelle, Tyler was with Johnny at the time. We had Camilla, she got with Greg. Alex Montana.
Chris and Olivia.
Yeah, and then exactly, yeah, Chris and Olivia. So there was really only like 6 guys going for like 1 or 2 girls.
Sexy potted plant in the corner. They were getting hard on that.
Oh man, that plant was looking pretty damn good. So yeah, then Alex got Montana, and Alex looks like a Greek god. So I was like, yeah, I was like, I'm not even gonna—
You got this one, Alex.
But you know what's actually cool about Alex? When I went, the second I went into the villa, he goes, "Oh my God, I watch all your videos." Wow. So I was like, oh, so he's like not only absolutely beautiful, but he's a really sane guy. Me and him got along well.
And the guys, they are pretty buff.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've kind of made your way by being a social media influencer, but also running your fitness channel. Did you get to gym in the villa? That's what I want to know.
I'd say I worked out for max 10 minutes a day. Like I fooled around with the dumbbells and like, Did a few pull-ups. That was it. Yeah, yeah, he said intense 2 hours of training every day. It's like these unbelievable looking girls over by the pool. I'm like, don't look at me, I'm trying to do some weights here.
A quick circuit is just you walking to the toilet, washing the hands.
One of the biggest things for me has been watching— I want to get my hands on one of those water bottles that they're all just sipping from constantly. Did you steal one of those water bottles?
Yes, yes, I did. You know what, I'm gonna donate it to the studio. I think you guys would appreciate it more than me.
I should say, anyone listening to this, you know, they're probably huge fans of your videos. Actually just seeing you in person, you're ripped like a mackerel. You're a badass. You're absolutely fantastic. And I'm thinking, Rob, like, you can see me right now, I'm very gaunt, I look unwell, it's quite a willowy frame. Can I get gains? Do you think a man of my stature could put on weight?
Personally, I think you're owning the look. Oh, thank you.
Dying Lachlan in the summer.
Yeah, you're killing it, pun intended. But yeah, yeah, no, of course, anyone, you know, when you put your mind to it, you can of course make some progress.
So Rob, the final is tonight. Who do you think is going to win?
Um, I think Chris and Olivia have just done the biggest turnaround. It's incredible. It's, it's like Justin Bieber back in like 2015 or '16. Everyone hated him and now he's just the man dropping bangers every week.
It was when he started crying when he was with Cashews, his baby. Was that what did it for me?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Chris also, yeah, very cool guy. I think it would be great to see them win.
So Chris and Livvy to win?
Yeah, I think it could be an epic turnaround.
And there's vicious rumors that you might be coming in for the final to steal the money and win it. And when I say vicious rumors, I'm making it on the spot.
Slight legalities there, but actually funny you mention that. Yesterday I did I did just get my itinerary and invite for the Love Island after party or after sun on the 30th of July. So that's going to be everyone, literally flights, hotels, everyone put into the same hotel, everyone that's ever been on the show, no cameras. Like, it's going to be carnage.
We will pay for the extra luggage if you can put us two in the suitcase and bring us over to the map tonight.
So crazy.
'You can keep the water bottle if you bring us over.' So crazy, it just might work.
I'd love if I went instead of you and they're like, 'Man, what happened to Rob? Since the show he hasn't eaten at all.
He keeps getting at that potted plant.' Yeah, he's had his eyes on that potted plant since the very beginning.
Rob Lipsett has been an incredible source for you. You obviously have a lot of business ventures as well, and your YouTube channel is absolutely huge. What's next for you?
Well, of course, you know, right now my latest project is the Raw Gym and Raw Gym Academy, which is a personal trainer academy. So if you want to get the best qualifications available in the UK and Ireland, um, you know, sign up online and then the course starts in September. So just that, and then I'm gonna keep creating content. I've got a tour with Alphalete coming up. It's a clothing company I'm endorsed by. So it actually starts in Dublin. So there's other, you know, YouTubers who are way bigger than me all coming down to Dublin, and we're gonna put on an event and a meetup sort of thing. Then we go to London, Amsterdam, Toronto, Chicago, New York. So that's going to be a fun, fun little trip. And then after that, end of August, I'll probably maybe go away somewhere cool, and then I'll start working on new projects again.
It's my birthday on the 18th of August, Rob. You and me and the water bottle.
I'm back just in time. And of course, next week, uh, you know, my next event is a Lynx Summer Series on St. William Street in the Lynx pop-up shop. I'll also be giving a talk there. Public speaking is something that fires me up. I love doing it, so really looking forward to that.
Rob Lipsett, thank you so much for joining us on Fully Shared this morning. It's been so much fun.
Absolute pleasure. Cheers.
A king.
I think this should happen regularly. That was appreciated, guys.
That was the most fun. It was the craic.
I'm actually sweating. I'm laughing. I was laughing so much.
Yeah, no, you got— you guys are great. Okay, so job done. People that work in radio are always just like a lot of fun, and like, that's what I do with interviews. Some people are like do you prepare for them or like, you know, prepare what you're gonna say? And I'm just like, nah, just go in, have fun, and wing it. But, uh, so now my car is getting valeted, so I'm gonna try go get some lunch in town. I want to go try out somewhere that I have never tried before. Hey fellas, how's the car getting on? It's getting there, don't worry, there's no rush. I'm just gonna drop something into it and then I'm gonna go off get some lunch. Okay, so update on my little time in town, um, I just got contacted by like this massage place on St. William Street to go for a sports massage, so I'm gonna go do that. Doing a little bit of shoe shopping here in Thot Man, and I'll check in with you at the massage place. So, so good. I like fell asleep. Two thumbs up to the St. William Spa. Um, but now I'm getting like the opposite. I'm going for a cryotherapy treatment. Let's go along with it. And Zeus is tired as well. All right, so they've given me some stuff to change into, but how cool are these? Okay, my outfit actually gets even better. I got the socks and sandals combo. I'm just dressing again. Okay, it's time to do this, this freezing cold thing. First time trying cryotherapy. Feels very refreshing. I'm having a good time here. So we're doing this for 3 minutes.
So it should climb to about -150 degrees.
It's not that bad.
Yeah, it's definitely tolerable.
It's actually kind of enjoyable in a strange way.
How do you feel after that? Alive!
Okay, so fun little impromptu trip to the spa. I can't complain. And such a nice start, it's like not even 1 PM. And also, quick note, the jeans that I'm wearing, Legend London jeans, of course linked below as always. So now I'm gonna go get something to eat. And then we're gonna go hit the gym. Okay, so update on today. What a splendid morning in town. So I got some shoes in Topman. Let me just quickly show you them. I think they're a nice cross between like going out shoes and like casual shoes. Fashion for the simple man. And then also got a poke bowl. There's poke It's hard to find in Ireland because we like live in the Stone Age and all that. So I'll show you what that's like in a minute. I'm going to go up to my apartment now and leave everything up there, and then I'll probably go eat that in the garden. Also, guys, quick little update on the car because I got it valeted and I think it looks so damn clean. I'm still loving it. Like, I have— I still have the Audi, but like, I'm driving this by choice. Absolutely love it. I thought it would be really bad at petrol and everything, but it does this thing when it's like not in use. The car like turns off and then turns on when you're about to drive off. Love the wheels, love the color, and I think it suits me well. But yeah, so I got this down in Keery's in Cork. Again, highly recommend checking them out if you're in the market for a new car. All the guys in there are just super sound, really cool team. Look how pretty it is. All right, upstairs. So let's see what this poke bowl is saying. Dressing on the side. Smart. Oh, it looks good. Edamame, salmon. I think that's— what's that, like crab? Lime, avocado. Looks solid, Koku Kitchen. I was gonna go to the gym, but then I was like, you know what, I'm actually gonna go for a walk on the beach with my family. So I think I see them here, and they got ice cream without me. What the hell? So yeah, I end up getting ice cream, but, um, I was very hungry, so this is what's left of it anyways. But, uh, we're gonna enjoy this walk. Nice day. Catch up with the fam. I'll see you in a bit. Um, right, so great walk with the sisters, and I can finally announce that I am a godfather as well. Hey, godfather Lipsett! So proud for as well, and I cannot wait for the baby to come. What do you think she should call the baby? I think— what were we saying again? So Doyle's going to be the second name. I think Sophia Doyle will be a nice name.
Okay, you're gonna be the coolest godfather ever.
I know, it's gonna be Do your best Godfather impression. Ay or something.
Ay!
Okay, I'm drinking this pre-workout, then I'm gonna hit the gym. Okay, so really quickly before we go off to the gym, and it's actually perfect timing because I know what it is, and it's definitely the new Alphalete duffel bags, which I'm very excited about. As you're watching this, these are now live, could be sold out, but these have been a long time in the making. I already have I have the grey one and then really excited to have the black one. So let's crack this one open. Stealth! That is badass. So that's it. It's like perfect sizing for like a gym travel bag. It's got somewhere to put your phone, two side pockets that I always use as well. Shoulder strap comes on the inside, loads of little extra pockets. I've been using the grey one for so long and I absolutely love it. So as always, Alphalead, I love all the gear, but even more importantly, I love the people behind the brand. And we're all going to be here in Dublin around August 3rd. So check it out, links in the description box. Let's pack this up and head to the gym. You know what's up. RIP to Chester Bennington. Literally crazy, like such a regular on my gym playlist for the last so many years. But anyways, it's time to go and hit this workout. Um, and also just a quick one, um, it's also— it's like 7 PM, it's like way later than I usually train, but no complaints. And I also, I am currently looking for someone in Dublin who is a videographer and also photographer as well, because Ben is gonna be traveling a lot this year because he got an insane position with Red Bull, one of the biggest companies in the world. So I am delighted for him. And so yeah, I'm gonna need someone especially for August 3rd. So email me, I'm gonna put the email that I want you to send your details to up on the screen. Previous work. You need to show me what you've done, and it obviously needs to be up to the standard of what Ben has produced for me. So really looking forward to seeing a few applications and for working with a few people. And like a lot of people I've worked with, you know, I got the Midas touch. Like, uh, I've had videographers work with me for like a day, they get approached by massive supplement companies, clothing companies, everything. So yeah, it'd be great to pair up with someone, but most importantly, you got to be cool to hang out with. So anyways, let's go in, hit this workout. It's a pull day.
Let's do it.
All right, so I'm going to finish this vlog off with a voiceover through the workout. And I know this is going to be a long video. Like, we had that Love Island interview, you know, trip to the spa, we went shopping, got some shoes, we ate some poke, we got the car valeted, went to the beach, you know, announced I was a godfather, which I'm delighted about. Went through the new Alphalete bag, the new launch, and, you know, updated you guys on the travel plans and the whole Alphalete team coming here. Announced that I'm looking for a new kind of videographer or photographer even to work with, um, just mainly for August as well. So now, yeah, we're hitting this pull day. So action-packed vlog, and yeah, I hope you're enjoying it. So if you are, as always, I appreciate a thumbs up. So basically hitting a pull workout here. My pull workouts mainly just consist of rack pulls at the start and then a horizontal row, which that can be, you know, chest-supported row or barbell rows, and a vertical row. So that could be like lat pulldowns, pull-ups, whatever. Then I'll probably do some like kind of more iso rows, like maybe one-arm rows. And then I'll probably do some lighter shrugs and then some arm work as well. So bicep exercise with a supinated grip, a hammer grip, and then one with an alternating grip. So I don't think I recorded everything in this workout, but I recorded the majority of it. But this was one of the best workouts I've had in a while. I know it is such a bro science thing to say, oh, you know, I was really sore the next day, as you know, that being sore doesn't necessarily mean you're progressing. That is a myth. But it does mean you're basically doing something new, or it means you push yourself that little bit harder. And so don't always equate being sore to muscle growth. Muscle growth is really about, you know, gradually increasing your workload or just lifting more weight over time. But, um, you know, sometimes it is nice to feel sore the next day. And one thing I have to say about rack pulls, until I started doing them, I never ever got that feeling in my upper back. You honestly will get like a soreness that like you've never felt before. It's crazy, try mate. But so I am going to finish up this video here before it goes on for too long. I just want to say thank you so much for watching. As I kind of, you know, mentioned earlier in the vlog, got some really epic stuff coming up again because the last like 2 weeks I didn't lose my motivation to YouTube. I was just like taking a bit of downtime and focusing on other things. But now the next month there's going to be a big focus on YouTube, so So make sure you're subscribed, make sure you're following along, and again, thank you so much. Keep it real, I'm outta here.
