What's up, people? I'm back! It's been like 3 days since I posted a video, and I, you know, I was just like YouTubed out of it. Like, last week was like so intense, but I loved it. And then, you know, I was like, hmm, I'll do a video today. And I was like, yeah, I don't need to take a break from something I love doing. So I'm back, which is a little bit of an update. And well, there's like a— there's like a lot to talk about, so First off, I'm gonna make breakfast. I'm gonna sit down with you guys. We're gonna go through everything. Yeah, so Oeg dropped off the shipment, so I guess it's egg whites for breakfast. Also, this is kind of like a look at what is in my fridge. Yeah, this shit, protein bread. Alright, so egg whites, and then I made my usual kind of macro-friendly fry with the turkey sausages, few onions, tomatoes, mushrooms. Alright, so that's gonna be my breakfast. Gonna leave that bit for Sarah because you should always support your partner's gains. Alright, so I thought I'd just quickly talk about what I'm doing with my diet on the moment. Leading up to the competition, my final macros/calories were 2,000 calories, and that was 200 grams of protein, 200 grams of carbs and 50 grams of fat. So 2,000 calories plus cardio is probably the lowest. It's probably the biggest deficit that I've ever put myself into. And hey, look, that's what it takes, you know. And it paid off, of course. So after the competition, I've moved back up to maintenance. So I added in 500 calories. So I'm at about 2,500 calories now. And I've gained, I've gained like a pound, if like 2 pounds. I've literally gained like no fat, just a bit of water and some muscle glycogen, which is great because last year when I competed, afterwards I binged so bad. I had such a blowout. And that's what happens when you put like a strict end date on your diet. You know, you're setting yourself up for a fall because it's like, you know, you're cutting and cutting and cutting, then boom, this date comes and the diet's over. Whereas like I remember in the past, I'd cut down for summer for like a summer holiday and I'd be like, oh yeah, I'm going on holiday on this date, but I obviously want to stay in good shape for the whole summer. So you didn't blow out, you didn't lose motivation. I knew that was kind of coming this year, so I just kind of said to myself, Rob, don't blow out afterwards, it's not worth it, you're not going to be happy and stuff like that. Just, you know, eat like an adult and go up to a more realistic sustainable intake. And that's what I've done. So I'm pretty happy with that. That's like gains in itself. That's like relationship with food gains. And I'm also not tracking as strictly too. Um, you know, there are degrees of tracking, like, you know, how strict you need to track is kind of how extreme you're going to take your diet. Like, someone in the final few weeks of contest prep, it's obviously going to have to be a lot more strict than someone just starting their cut. So that's kind of where I'm at my diet. So you probably see some nicer food choices today as well, and I'm feeling great. Uh, it's also kind of like a little mini diet break. Diet breaks are something that I've talked about on this channel in the past. I will link a really good article down below talking about diet breaks. You basically go back up to maintenance for like a week or 2 weeks. It kind of just resets your metabolism. All the negative adaptations that happen when you're dieting, when you go back up to maintenance, it's kind of just like reset, but you don't gain any body fat because you're just at maintenance. So you reset your diet and then you can go back into a cut and keep going. It's like taking one step back, but two steps forward. Read the article. So yeah, that's basically what I've done now. I'm still gonna come in hella lean for BodyPower. To say this series, BodyPower prep, was, you know, great success. We picked up a trophy along the way, and we came in looking sharp for BodyPower. So that's basically what I'm doing with my diet at the moment. I'm feeling great. The pumps I'm having in the gym are amazing. Actually, maybe even while we're just chatting here, I'll overlay some training footage from yesterday so you can kinda get a good idea how I'm looking, what type of condition I'm in. I've also been posting on Instagram and Twitter and the likes. Now, next protocol to address is LF Gymwear is back in stock. That is today's orders going out. They are like flying out. I am literally so happy with how they turned out, like the fit, the color, the quality, everything is perfect. And you guys know what I'm about. I'm not about that corny shit, you know, it's a t-shirt, right? Basically what I wanted to represent— I didn't write Lipsett on it or anything, I didn't write Lipsett Fitness. I just wanted it to be a nice design that you can wear anywhere. It looks good, it fits great, and also for those of us kind of in the know, it's like a little bit of a community. I told this story a while ago. There was like this guy and it was his first day of college and he went into the gym and he was real kind of intimidated. He didn't know anyone, he was a bit out of depth. And he was wearing his LF gear and he saw someone else wearing LF gear and he went up to him and was like, "Hey, do you watch that dickhead on YouTube as well?" And you know, the two of them just hit it off. They got a workout in together. And when I heard that, man, I just felt amazing. So that's what it's all about. You know, I'm not going to like sell you this big thing. You know, I just think it's absolutely quality gear and I'd love if you picked one up. So they're selling out. Very fast. I did a presale on Snapchat the other day. It was gone in like an hour. So thank you again for the support. And for those who have ordered them, I can't wait for you to receive them because I just know you're going to be happy with them. 3, 3 colors for the moment: light blue, white, and the gray. I think the gray could be my favorite. I just got a tweet there. Been using Twitter a lot recently. It's actually a good platform. I used to not like it, but yo, When social media is your job, you should really be using every sort of channel, every platform that you can. And also, I don't have that many followers there, so if you tweet me, I'll definitely see it. So @RobLipsett. But anyways, I got a tweet there and it was like, are you going to bring out any more ranges, any more products with LF Gymwear? Definitely. You know, like, they were like, I want snapbacks, I want the 3/4 lens, and I definitely will. I want this. To just be a quality, exclusive line of gym wear where I listen to you guys and just make whatever you want. Because it's like, it's like a clothing company where you deal with the CEO, you know? That's what I want to make it like, just make it personal and stuff like that. So after BodyPower, I'm really going to concentrate on bringing out some kind of, you know, new products and just try, try and make them as innovative as possible. So Stay tuned for that, I'm excited. Today's orders, I think that's UK, Ireland, international. Just got a package from these guys and look at this. Congrats again on your win at the weekend, enjoy the steaks as a celebration. P.S. Share one with Sarah. No better way to celebrate and some big-ass steaks. Much love to Kerrigans as always. The link for these guys in the description box. All right, so today's Cooking with Lip, it is going to be a beef burger from Kerrigans, a burger thin, and then I'm gonna make some white potato fries as well, wedges, whatever you wanna call them. Mixed salad and that as well. Let's put this all together. I'm gonna microwave these for about 2 minutes, then make them crispy in the oven. You know the rest. Oh man, look at this. Gonna get some reduced sugar ketchup involved. Put the lid on top. It's gonna be quality. Still keeping that leanness with the bicep split. Some golf ball action. July 31st is our next one, and that's gonna be absolutely ridiculous. Like, you'll see. I'll show you. I have a shirt that's gonna look amazing on you. That's all I'm gonna say. Sweet. Uh, just meet— to meet at the hotel at 10 AM. Yes, and here, you gotta say hi to the vlog as well. Hello vlog! Hola vlog! Alright, sounds good. Sweet. Bye! Good luck, bye-bye. So as you saw, I just got finished talking to Christian and Danae. Now the plan is Christian was meant to come to Ireland after BodyPower, but he's got his prep for his competition and he also made commitments to Big Jay. He's another YouTuber. And so now Javon is coming over to Ireland, back to Ireland after BodyPower with me. We're gonna film my Athlete episode. So maybe, hey, maybe we can do a little mini meetup. And then we're also talking about myself heading out to Texas later on this summer. So hey, look, it's all kicking off. Like, it's gonna be— next couple of months are gonna be jam-packed. And after that phone call, I'm absolutely pumped. So people, I'm gonna finish up this vlog here, just giving you a little update on my life. Show you that I'm still alive after that competition. I haven't gained like 30 pounds and gone into a depression. BodyPower is the next focus, heading over on Tuesday, you know, a few days before the actual expo starts. Ah man, like, you know, things— I'm just high on life at the moment. Everything is going great and I just can't wait to bring you guys along with me on all my experiences. You know, I'm gonna try really make this channel a lot more travel orientated, especially coming up to summer. So thank you so much for watching. I love you guys. Keep it real. I'll catch you in the next episode. Peace.
