What's going on, everyone? Long time no I hope you're all having an amazing summer. I've been traveling all over the United States of America and have a huge backlog of videos that I want to get uploaded. So much footage on so many different cameras that I kind of got overwhelmed, to be honest. Along with that, I'm putting together a documentary-style video that I spent a whole month shooting for, so I'm very excited for that. It's going to be like no other style of video I've ever done, so get ready. On the screen here, you're seeing a workout I did in Gold's Gym, the mecca, with another YouTuber from San Diego, Dustin Williams. Dude is jacked and an absolute legend. We filmed the Q&A, but my Rode mic that I hate so much failed on me. But regardless, I will of course link his channel in the description box, and hopefully we cross paths again. His content is amazing, you should all go check it out. Like I said, I have a good few videos incoming, which also includes a calorie challenge. So get excited for that. But today we're doing an American grocery haul and I'll finish off with a recipe just like the old days. Enjoy the video, leave a thumbs up. Let's get into the American vlog. So we found the recreational center, so we're going to try out the pool. What is it? No ping pong. That's pool. We're going to try out the ping pong table. So yeah, get ready for some next level skills. All right, so moment of truth, checking out the gym. Oh my God, this is hardcore! Look at the big 20 kg metal plates. That is unheard of in hotel gyms. Squat rack, barbell. This is sick. It's like proper old school. Oh my God, I have my own little girls' gym here. All right, so we got the jacuzzi in here, we got more just random pieces of gym equipment, we got sick lighting. Uh, but yeah, this place is unreal. Randomly found it on Airbnb and it was really cheap, really affordable, and yeah, it's perfect. But now we're— you checking out your leggings? But now we are going to the grocery store, um, see what's in the area. All right boys and girls, so we walked about 15 minutes down the street, right side Ralph's. So we're gonna go in, get our grocery shop on. There's a nice little trolley, so yeah, let's do this. All right, so we're starting off with vegetables because we're super healthy and we actually like eating vegetables. So we got some apples. Again, these are great, just kind of put in your fridge and have there like just a snack on, just instead of reaching for Candy bar, as the Americans call it. Reach for an apple. Then we got some peppers, some cherry tomatoes. We're gonna make a salad tonight. This is gonna be like the base of the salad. Some nectarines. I mean, I've even forgot these exist. Yum! I know, these are delicious. Then we got broccoli, asparagus, and then baby carrots and hummus dip. Okay, we read the back of a couple labels and this was the lowest calorie one. It changed from like, there was one and like it was the same red pepper hummus and it was like twice as many calories. So what brand you choose does make a huge difference really. And then this, this is one thing I want to talk about, right? Because there was a salad mix over there and it was like cold chicken salad. I was like, there's just sauce. It was like sauce and coleslaw. I couldn't even see the chicken. So sometimes people think, you know, they're eating healthy, they're logging in their, you know, MyFitnessPal chicken salad or something, but it's covered in sauce. And stuff like this. Big Blue dressing and dip, 160 calories in 2 tablespoons. That's ridiculous. So again, on this channel we talk a lot about like food volume, how big or how voluminous a certain food is and how much room it takes up in your stomach per calories. So for example, like look at the size of this thing, okay? And like you're gonna eat that whole thing. In the whole container there's 100 calories, and then in 2 tablespoons of this there's more calories. So like, that's actually crazy. 2 tablespoons, a whole container. That's like a pretty good example of food volume. But anyways, so we're gonna get some more basics, maybe some sauce, some flavorings, um, some chicken breasts. And yeah, that'll be dinner for tonight. So let's keep going. So again, talking about the difference in brand, this is blue chunky blue cheese dressing, and per 2 tablespoons of that is 35 calories. And then 2 tablespoons of this is 160 calories. So get in the habit of reading labels, makes a huge difference. This is the fun section. We got Pop-Tarts that I never even heard of. Never seen them in Ireland. Brown sugar cinnamon. I've never eaten a Pop-Tart. You've never eaten a Pop-Tart? Oh my God, you've not lived. And then over here we got the mini donuts. So I'm going to try to stay away from, but we're definitely going to do one big California cheat day before we go. Linda's never gone to In-N-Out either. So I remember the last In-N-Out I had, I think it would have been with Mariah. So yeah, it's been a long time coming and well overdue because I love it. This organization going down. It's my job, it's what I do. All right, I'm just over here getting some 10,000 calorie challenge inspiration. As you know, that's my buzz. So in this, right, it's not even that big a pizza, right? Decent sized pizza. This is— this— I'm the weirdo in the supermarket that does this, okay? 370 calories for an 8 of a pizza. Multiply that by 8, that's just under 3,000 calories. 10,000 calorie challenge is too easy. Like, I do that like without recording it. Like, I do that by accident when I'm having a bad day. Like, I could do 10,000 calorie challenge in 3 meals. Comment down below if that's what you want. Anyways, Uber's near to here, so let's go. Awesome, thank you so much. All right, people, so that is everything. We just got back there. The Uber was super nice, even gave us a hand with our groceries. But So in the shopping center, or the shopping mall, at the grocery store, I showed you the fruit and veggies we got. So again, apples, nectarines, broccolini, avocado. We got these green bean chips, which are pretty nice. Just tried them there, and they're actually pretty good. Then we're probably going to make a salad tonight, so we got some garbanzo beans. I have no idea what they are. We got whole kernel corn. I'm guessing that's just normal sweet corn. And black beans, I know what they are. Then again, some peppers, courgettes, Cherry tomatoes, jalapeño mustard. Okay, I got addicted to this stuff last time I was in America. I don't know what to believe, okay? It says zero calories per tablespoon. I'm like, I'm like, hey, what wizardry is this? Anyways, I got the exact same brand last time and actually brought two tubs in my suitcase back home to Dublin. That's how much I liked it. Again, so for the dressing, we went for the classic ranch, but this is a low-fat one. So in two tablespoons 45 calories. It's pretty good. That'd be nice on burgers and stuff too. Fat-free balsamic vinaigrette. Coconut oil spray on. We got some energy drinks, uh, some kombucha tea. Going to have that now. Vitamin enhanced zero calorie water beverage. What a catchy name. And then so over here we got some protein, chicken breast, extra lean turkey breast. Again, this is something to look out for. You can get some that's like higher fat than like steak, so this is a really good one here. Salad toppers. Again, this is one thing that like per tablespoon is 50 calories. It is a lot, like it's a very small amount, but if you just put a little bit on, it will provide a lot of flavor. So it's kind of like, you know, just keep that in mind. Some protein bars, some protein almonds, because we do protein everything on this channel. Roasted red pepper hummus, large watermelon chunks. I'm going to snack on a few of these before I hit the gym now. Then we're going to make tacos one night as well. Can we make them tonight? But these are so good. I got addicted to these when I was doing a J1 in Santa Barbara when I was like 21. And so there's 4 grams of carbs in each fajita, in each tortilla fajita thing. So that's really good. These are something that I always have when I'm in America. Oikos Triple Zero, official yogurt of the NFL. These taste amazing. Got them in vanilla. Some Skinny Cow ice cream, 160 calories in each one of them. So again, they're like a good snack to have. Some diet sodas, Vitamin Zero waters, I love them. Minute Maid Light, can't get them in Ireland, so I had to pick them up. Your diet soda selection here is out of this world, like I'm in heaven. Then some protein pancakes. I got a good idea like when I was in— nah, nah, you know what, I'll save it. I'll save it, right? More to come. Either way, you know how much I love protein pancakes, just a thought. And then we got some stuff to flavor our waters. That is pretty much everything. We're gonna have a little snack now, then go for a swim. Bit of gym, and we'll finish up this vlog. So yeah, give it a thumbs up if you enjoyed, and this is probably gonna do us about 5 days, if not more. And it came to exactly $200. I'd say grocery shopping is cheaper in Ireland, but again, we are in like LA, so anyways, it is what it is. I love these pans, they give it that like char-grilled kind of burnt effect. So good, it's gonna be amazing. So we're gonna make this, just cook all the chicken breasts so we have them for the week, and then make a really good salad to go with it. So yeah, stay tuned. Alright people, I'm so hungry, so I'm going to finish up the vlog here. We got pita, hummus, this epic salad that Linda made, some grilled asparagus, and I had enough chicken to do us for the year. Alright guys, wrap things up. Keep it real. I'm outta here. Give the video a thumbs up. Peace. Goodbye.
