Rob Lipsett's LPP Day 4: It's Leg Day Again !

Rob Lipsett trains legs six days a week with a back-squat PR of three plates, using autoregulation to push hard when amped and back off when tired. He makes protein-powder waffles for breakfast and a burrito bowl post-workout, emphasizing flexible eating over strict meal prep.

You ever see that meme and it's like, just recovered from leg day and it's leg day again? That's what's going on today, leg day Thursday. Some people like to go legs, push, pull, rest, take a rest day today. So it'd be like legs, push, pull, rest, legs, push, pull, rest. Not me though. I like to just roll on through 6 days a week. I just, I'm able to recover. Maybe I've just adapted to it, but either way, this is just how I like it. So let's start off the day. Like I said, on some days, like upper body days, I may intermittent fast or just have something very small and save my calories for later in the day. But leg days, I usually like to have a large enough breakfast. So I think I'm gonna make some waffles, pancakes, eggs. I don't know, let's see. I also want to thank you for clicking on today's video and staying with me on the daily uploads. It means a lot. Thank you. Alright, so we got like a blueberry vanilla protein powder, oats, egg whites, baking powder, waffle mix. I have a good feeling about this one today. Alright, so I think I'm getting better at this waffle-making business. That's Greek yogurt on top. I'm enjoying this new waffle-making challenge that I'm currently partaking in. Alright, so that was a long morning. Honestly, with these daily uploads, it's like, with all the editing, like, managing all the traffic that's coming to, like, my site, my social media platforms, all that, it is very time-consuming. But that's good. Being busy is excellent. If you're not busy, if you're not grinding, working every hour of the day, then you're not using your time efficiently. So all right, let's go over to Raw Gym. It's time to hit leg day. I'm pumped. We'll go in, see how I'm feeling, and get the session done. And for once, it is not raining. Hallelujah. Oh, leg day! That means it is time to break 8 all this shit. All right, so it's a nice quiet day in the gym today, not too crowded. Just got my warm-up sets done, now let's get into it. She came to cheer me on. Nah, she actually came to get the keys to the apartment. Alright, Rob Piana here. Leg day again. Now, I've spoke about autoregulation in the past, and that is more or less what I follow. This is basically where you gauge your training and intensity depending on how you feel. So if you're feeling good, push to the limit, brah. If you're feeling drained, it could be your body telling you to wind it back. Take things handy and recover. Omar Isuf, who is one of my favorite YouTubers, I've watched him for years, he has some great videos on the topic. So basically, I was feeling amped up today. I wanted to lift some metal. So I stacked on 3 plates, which at the body weight and body fat percentage that I am at right now is basically a PR for me. I haven't done this since a good bit before the final few weeks of my prep. And I know what you're about to say, bro, bro, you had a spotter. Go easy on me. Regardless, I think it went up pretty easy and I got a fair bit of volume, but I honestly needed to just get that weight on my back to get a feel for it again and give me a mental boost, if you know what I mean. Oh, and excuse the facial expression on me. I know I look like I'm about to give birth in the gym to some type of squat baby. After that, it was the usual stiff leg deadlifts, leg extensions, hamstring curls, lunges, calves, and I finished off with some ab work as always. I've also been reading through the comments and loads of people are like, Rob, I tried out this workout, my legs are in bits but felt amazing after. So thank you guys, I love hearing stuff like that, really do. Hit up the description box if you want the full routine. So you can have it in the gym with you, etc., etc. And last but not least, if you are enjoying this series, leave the video a thumbs up. Only takes a second. And also comment down below if there are any other kind of topics that you'd like me to address. I think in the next video I'm gonna discuss training frequency as we're coming into the second half of the week. So yeah, any topics you want me to talk about, comment down below. Enjoy the rest of the video. Peace. ¡Hola! All right, so I'm back and I've earned myself a feed. I am so hungry. Um, so what I've done, I'm gonna make a burrito bowl. I have prepped some brown rice. I'm going to put everything together and show you. Burrito Bowl, y'all know it's probably like my favorite recipe of all time. Alright, so we are just going to chop up a load of veggies, have some salsa, sweet corn, some extra lean minced pork, and then a big crunchy salad. But while we're on the topic of meal prep, I obviously don't meal prep like anymore, seeing as I run an online business and I work from home. But like back in the day when I was like going to college and working in retail, I would do like, I'd pack a lunch. Or when I used to work in an office like 9 to 6, what I would do is I would prepare my breakfast the night before and then I'd have more time in the mornings. So yeah, I definitely think meal prep is good, but thankfully I don't have to do it anymore. And like you don't have to do like a huge extensive meal prep. Like I said, you know, I used to just prep my breakfast for the following morning. So some people like to prep their whole week, and that's cool, but you know, you don't have to. Also, as you can see, the burrito bowl is a great way to get tons of fiber, protein, vegetables in. Very nutrient-dense, and it's absolutely delicious. Alright, so there is my creation. I've done like full videos just how to make this recipe, even though I think it's pretty straightforward. I'm going to enjoy this now. Oh my God, that looks unbelievable. Let's get some close-up action. Coming up to 10 o'clock, just about got that pull day uploaded. I don't know, like, daily uploads, they are not easy. I don't know how Casey Neistat does it with such quality, and other daily vloggers. I need me a Kelvin or some shit. I'm wrapping things up there. I know it's gonna be a late night tonight. Last night I was up till about 2 or 3, but fuck it, you know, like, That's it. You know, there's sometimes you just gotta do these things. And sometimes I get like pumped up. I'm like, when I have so much stuff to do, the adrenaline kicks in and I'm like, alright, let's go. But here, tell me, okay, I'm gonna keep doing these if it motivates at least one person to hit the gym and cook a proper meal. Because at the end of the day, that is why I do these videos, to motivate people, to inspire people. So Please let me know if they're helping. I love you guys. I'm outta here. See you at the same time tomorrow. Keep it real. Boom! Yes! Arnold, you're staying up with me tonight.
