All right, goodbye apartment. We had some crazy ass memories and a really good year. On to the next one. You guys always ask where do I live or where did I live, and obviously you don't want to say that on the internet, but now that I'm moving, I can tell you I lived in Sandiford. Yeah, goodbye kitchen. Many gains were made in here. Goodbye office. We We got some good work done together. Goodbye, bedroom. We also had some great times together. Yo, Dublin Airport, we meet again. So I'm about to catch this flight to Dubai. It's at 8:30. It's like an 8-hour flight. I'm not too sure. It'll be fine. I'm gonna sleep on the plane because I had such a bad sleep last night. It was like one of those sleeps where you close your eyes for a second and then you wake up and you're just like, is that it? Either way, it's all good. Uh, I'm gonna grab something to eat now, chill out. So I think I'll check in with you guys in Dubai. Okay, I just want to quickly show you the little fruit bowl I got because I think it looks pretty. Okay, now we can go Dubai. All right, so we're on that layover in Abu Dhabi and we're in Burger King. Got a salad, so let's see what we're working with. It's pretty solid. That's after beef K lounge. So we're gonna wait here now, we've got about 1 hour, and then we're on the final leg of the journey. I can't wait to see Melbourne. All right, Abu Dhabi Airport. I feel I've been here so much in the past couple of weeks, um, because like you always have to go through whenever you're going to like Dubai or Thailand. But now it is on to the final leg. Gonna sit here, hop on the flight to Melbourne. I also think I just got upgraded, we shall see. But anyways, I'm very excited to see Melbourne, but I arrive in and it's evening time, but that's kind of good because I'm gonna go to bed, relax, get a full night's sleep and then just absolutely kill the following day. People, so a bit of an update, uh, I'm sorry if the lighting in here is a bit weird and there's like waves on the screen. It's fine. So that flight is coming to an end. It was about 14 hours. I legit didn't know that planes could stay in the air for that long. I thought it was only like the president's plane that could do that. Either way, one thing that I always do on flights is brush my teeth towards the end, uh, just to come back feeling a lot fresher. So that's what we're gonna do now. Then we're gonna find a hotel that I'm staying there for one night, and then some more of the Alphalete crew start coming today. After. Also, on the flight over, I got 4 seats in a row to myself. It was amazing. I have never gotten that before. And then on this flight from Abu Dhabi, I got kind of 2 to myself. Not doing too bad. Exit. Locate the exits nearest to you now using this sign. Your nearest exit. Oh, here, I'll get that for you.
Stop, like, stop.
There you go, don't worry about it. And this is me. Is that you?
Yeah.
Thank you. All right, Melbourne, we have arrived. It's like 7:30 PM here. It is so nice and mild, and I just got my luggage there. So check out the Douchebags. It's like the company that one of my favorite bloggers, John Olson, he's an owner of it. So, you know, John, if you're watching this, you want to hang out, just let me know. Plan is I've got to find a taxi and then settle into a hotel for one night. Okay, so here's the update. That's where I'm staying, the area. And I was just in reception getting like my keys and everything, and someone comes up to me and they're like, "You're that Irish YouTuber!" and asked for a photo. I was like, "Oh my God, this is so cool, thank you!" Stuff like that still hasn't gotten old to me. So right, let's go up to our room and see what it's like. I am a tired guy. I'm gonna go in here now and I am really gonna enjoy this shower. Straight away, it's nice. Oh my God, yes! There's a pool and a gym. I think I'm right beside it. It's like they knew where to put me. Okay, so far so good. First reaction room review coming up with Rob. So right, shower, jacks is good. Okay, this is perfect. Nice little place for breakfast. Pretty big balcony. Not much of a view, but not bad either.
And then the bedroom.
Nothing amazing, but it's clean. Mirror. Okay, I'll certainly last a night here. I'm really actually, when it comes to travel, not picky at all whatsoever. Like, I've stayed in some dreadful places, so as long as it's got a clean bed, shower, I'm like, I am like not complaining. Okay, so hotel room is absolutely perfect for tonight, and then tomorrow we are meeting up with a few more people, uh, so I am going to shower get fresh, and maybe like hit the gym afterwards. I just need to have a shower first. I feel like a guy who's been traveling for the last 24 hours. Funny, ha, yeah, I know, that's me. But one thing I do really like is airplanes because I find it really relaxing being just completely away from the world and disconnected for like 12 to, or in this case, 14 hours. So fun little fact, I actually wrote 90% of my ebook on flights. I just find myself getting really productive on flights. So yeah, the plan is I'm not even going to bother unpacking because I'm moving out of here tomorrow. Maybe get a few things, but I'm going to shower, suss the place out, see what the area is like. Looks pretty cool. I think everyone's going outside. There's a bit of a buzz around the place, and then I'll go look for something to eat. Also, I hope you're enjoying this little kind of travel vlog because I had a lot of fun making it. I just thought it was kind of a cool, neat little trip, and yeah, enjoyed it. So All right, lads, come on, we go check out this fucking gym. I hate when I pull and it says push. Okay, here we go. We have dumbbells, cardio machines, bench, sit-up thing, leg machine, chest press, lat pulldown. Pretty much the hotel gym standard. Got some big-ass mirrors though, so might as well just get a pump and take pictures. That's gonna be my workout. No, but seriously, it's better than nothing. I'm gonna get some steps in, do some cardio too. Okay, so that workout, like, it was actually— felt amazing after sitting on a plane for 20 hours. So I'm really happy I got that done. And while I was there, I got basically a text, and this is like so Irish, okay? When you're like Irish, you'll know people all over the world. So I have some friends in Melbourne, they're like, "Yo, Rob, just saw you're in Melbourne, let's head out tonight." So I'm gonna go out tonight because I slept on the plane. I'm so not tired. And like I said, it's around 9 o'clock, so I want to sort out my sleeping pattern. So I'm going to go out till maybe like, I don't know, 1, 2, uh, get some dinner and then fall asleep and be right as rain. So I need, I need to sharpen up. All right folks, this travel vlog ends here. We are going for the same thing I wear every night. It's a black Alfley t-shirt, Legend London jeans, and Chelsea boots. Also got this watch bracelet combo from the Vincero Vincero Collective. But yeah, safe to say I'll be taking it very handy tonight, just meeting some old friends, maybe have 2 drinks, get my sleeping pattern right. And I'm also hungry as well. So keep it real, see you in the next vlog. I'm gonna be coming out with a lot of Australia vlogs, so see you in the next one. Keep it real, peace. Good morning, Australia! So basically my body clock is like all over the place right now. So I've gotten to Melbourne about like 7 or 8. Slept on the plane, so like I was wide awake. Ended up getting in touch with some old Irish friends. We went out for a few casual drinks, or I didn't go heavy, and then— but I didn't fall asleep until about like 5 AM, and now I just woke up and it's like 9 AM. So either way, I'm feeling grand. I'm just gonna get on with it and make the best out of the day and adjust. So right now I'm still in that hotel, the Aria, and the plan for today is I gotta go to an Airbnb I don't think it's too far. So checkout here is at 10 AM. I would love to get some breakfast. There is a coffee machine over here though that looks decent. All right, I'm gonna figure out how to work this and, uh, get my bearings together. Okay. Oh yeah, another one of the first things on the agenda is I need to get some Australian adapters because I love just bringing a load of American ones that don't work over here. It's just great. Okay, so it's time to move out of this hotel. The Aria on Clarendon Street, you served us well, you had good coffee, but it's time to go. And I really need to get some chargers because my batteries are all slowly running out, and that means good night YouTube and good night lipsandfitness.com. So we need to sort that out, and then we need to contact the Airbnb host and then move in. This place looks pretty cool in pictures, so hopefully it's the same in real life. Alright, so as you guys know, I packed in a bit of a rush, so I wanted to wear shorts today, but I don't have any, so I'm just going to wear jeans and rock this beater. But these jeans are from Legend London. They're the guys that sort me out jeans. I really, really like their stuff. I'm going to link them down below. Thank you, guys. Okay, so I've got to check out this hotel at 10 AM, which is now, and I can't check into this Airbnb until 2 PM. So I'm gonna go down, ask for a late checkout, see what they say. So the nice lady at reception allowed me to extend my check-in for an hour. Uh, you know, obviously be nicer a bit later, but I will take what I can get. I'll just like explore Melbourne for 3 hours or something, we'll see. But now I need to eat, like I'm so hungry. So around me we have a 24-hour McDonald's, and then there's this place called Wild Bean Cafe. I think I'm gonna go over there. Okay, so it turns out Wild Bean Cafe is like a petrol station, but it's fine. This is what we're going for this morning. We got a mango smoothie, solid. Then I got this protein bar as well, and then I picked up some beef jerky that I'm gonna have later. So this is perfect. Health. All right guys, so back with Miss Emily Hayden and our new Australian friend Gail. So thank you so much for picking me up because I was like totally lost. Here on my own. But now we're gonna go to our Airbnb, hang out, and Gail has actually written us a travel itinerary. Like, literally nicest person in the world. Why fish, veggies, standard prep meal.
Yeah, I do have actually like a solid amount of carb given that I'm a tiny little girl. Yeah, but I also like to eat volume.
Oh, I am the biggest volume eater ever.
I just need a full stomach. I don't care what I'm eating as long as I pull myself.
Yeah, no, I'm king of volume. I get creative. Okay, so Gail has written a— not just a guide to Melbourne, a prep-friendly guide to Melbourne for Emily Hayden. I'm gonna get on this as well. All right, people, super quick house tour. It is like— it is so ideal. Like, you know, sometimes it doesn't look like the pictures. This looks like the pictures, and it's perfect. So kitchen island, nice and clean, good for cooking. Beautiful table. Big couch. And there's even like a little lie-down part to it. Bathroom, and then my room here. Then look at this, what a view! Perfect. Oh my God, yes, this is like unbelievable. This is incredible. I have to say, I am just loving life right now. So grocery shopping with bikini competitor on prep. So this will be interesting, but this place looks really good anyways. It seems to have some good macro-friendly options, and you guys know, you guys know that I love grocery shopping in different countries just to see like what different things I can get. Yes! Australian grocery haul about to go down because y'all love this shit. So we went down to Foodworks or something, I believe it was called, and we just got some light snacks. I'm probably gonna be eating out a little bit, but This is what we picked up anyways. Okay, standard Greek yogurt, fat-free pancake buttermilk mix, chicken breast, pretty standard, a ready-made meal, Thai beef and basil stir-fry, Healthy Choice carbonara, rolled oats, apples, fruit bowl, high protein low carb bars, and then macro-friendly ice cream. When I saw this, I was just like, my eyes lit up. I was like, I took it off my glass and I was like it's here. But, and I got some mustard as well. But what sucks about this was that came to 93 Australian dollars. I don't know like how much that is in euro, but it's going to be pretty expensive here. So don't take your Lidl and Aldi for granted, guys. A bit of a change of plan. I've been put in connection with a few more Irish people. The Irish connection out here is strong. So I'm meeting up with a few Mullingar people and we're going to this like daytime pool party beach thing in República. That's what it's called, in St. Kilda's Beach. So we're just in an Uber now on the way and, uh, check in with you guys when we get there. Alright people, what an epic night. I had such a good time, but I definitely think it's time to finish up this vlog. I'm probably gonna like start vlogging again straight away, but either way, I hope you enjoyed this video. Welcome to Australia. Have a good one. Keep it real. I'm outta here. Peace.
