All right, people, the day is upon us. Show day. We're just about to hit the road, go down to Kilkenny. I'm feeling good. A little bit, like, you know, a little bit just like, whoa, is this actually happening? Like, last week I didn't even know this was coming. So, you know, but I'm pumped, I'm excited. So let's go, let's do it. Alright, so we just rolled up outside the venue. Nerves are starting to kick in, but like in a good way. So it's exactly 2 o'clock. I'm getting my tan on at 2:15. So the worst part is always like waiting around in the horrible tan, like it smells disgusting, but whatever. So let's go in, get the day going.
Ah! Okay, so Rob just got his tan done. Show them. Very dark.
I'm like a Change place just there in a matter of minutes. Alright, so Tan is on Sarah. I know I look terrifying. So it is just the proper bodybuilding masters just got finished there. It's a half an hour break and then men's physique's on, so time to do my thing. I am terrible.
77, Rob Lipsett. Woo! Come on, vacuum your fucking stomach out. His proportions are fantastic. 71. Yes, go! 73, 77, 78. 79. Come on, Rob! Let's go, Rob! That's it, Rob!
And face the judges.
Sorry. That's it, Rob Lipsett!
In second place, Daniel Brack. And in first place, 174cm champion, men's physique, 2016 Free Classic, Rob Lipsett.
Come on, Rob! I'm so proud! Okay, gentlemen, thank you very much. Oh my God, I'm so happy! I'm like shaking! Aleksandr Pokinski, Jack Kolaske, Rob Rob Lipsett and Darren Murray.
The winner, the overall champion in the men's physique, Dan Kowalski.
Oh my God!
Well, boys and girls, we brought home some hardware. First place in my class and also got up onto the overall. There was only one winner chosen for the overall and then the 4 people of every class, and I'm just absolutely delighted. I'm blown away. But one of the things that I'm most happy about is how nice everyone was today and just getting to meet everyone. People who came up said, "Hey, I love your videos," and stuff like that. You know, that, that's what means the world to me. And this is also a great end to this little mini series I did. So thank you so much for watching, and I'll catch you later on, uh, when we go out to eat or whatever. Okay, first port of call is get this guy in the shower.
Please.
What's going on everyone? So it is the following day. You could probably tell in that last clip that I was just dead. I got in, uh, we didn't even get to go out to eat. I made like a beef stir-fry, a couple of bowls of cereal, and like went to bed. I didn't have any like crazy food porn because, you know, I follow like a flexible approach, so my cravings really weren't too bad. But seeing as the last clip ended a little bit abruptly, I decided I'd just kind of, you know, take some time to talk to you guys on how yesterday went because obviously I was on the go all day. I couldn't vlog when I was on stage. So I woke up at 7 AM, and you know, I wake up at that time regardless without an alarm clock. So I told myself, you know, Rob, you're really gonna need some rest today, so go back to sleep, have a lie in. So I went back to sleep until about 11 AM, and then I got up. I didn't have breakfast because I wanted to, you know, keep my stomach from getting bloated or anything. I get bloated quite easily. So literally the entire day I snacked on dark chocolate and jellies like Haribo and stuff like that. So we drove down to the venue and, you know, I got tanned up. You saw that, and then it was showtime. So I got called on my class. I was in the 174 centimeters class, and we all went out, did our thing, and then it was narrowed down to a top 6. I like, when I saw the guys I was up against, like, the standard was very high. I couldn't believe that I made the top 6. Like, I was happy at that. And then when they were calling out the top 3, I was like, okay, like, at best I'm gonna get 3rd place here. Looking at the other guys. And then they called out third place, it wasn't me. I was like, oh, no way. Called out second place, wasn't me. I was like, I'm done. They called out first place and I was just like, I was over the moon. Like, I was just so ecstatic. Like, so many things were just going through my head. I was just chuffed, you know. And then, so there are four men's physique classes, and then the four winners of each class, we got called up on stage. You saw that as well. and then there was one overall winner. A really young guy won that, and like, I think it was so well deserved. We didn't find out who came like first, second, third, fourth. Maybe we'll find out over the coming few weeks, but I really don't care. Regardless, I still walked out of there with a first place trophy. So wrapping things up, I'm just so happy I could finish off this little mini-series on a high and give you guys a proper ending, because that's what means the most to me. You guys, the viewers, because I wouldn't have been able to train or diet as hard as I did without the support from all the people who watch these videos. I'm dead serious about that. And also, the day was such a laugh in itself. So many people came up to me and they're like, "Hey Rob, you know, I love the content you put out." And to be honest, hearing that means more to me than the trophy. Like, making videos and like living this lifestyle, putting it out for you guys, That is my passion. Like, so when someone comes up to me and says they benefit from that, I'm like, amazing, you know, I just love hearing that. Oh, and also, you'll never meet a hater in person, but that's another day's conversation. And the last thing I want to leave you guys with is this time last year I did the same competition. I entered the same competition and I didn't even place. I didn't even get close. So use that as motivation to come back stronger. Losing is not the true failure. The true failure is losing and giving up completely and never trying again. So please, never give up. I'm gonna leave things here. Thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed the last week of videos because I really enjoyed making them. I'm trying to decide, like, will I keep on doing daily vlogs? Because, like, I genuinely did love doing it. Next up, BodyPower. I'm heading over early on the 10th of May. I'll see you all over there. Keep it real. I'm out.
