All right, it is Joe.
What's happening, people? How you doing?
Just arrived there this morning. We're going for breakfast now. Plan for today is, right, okay, we had this romantic date planned out in our head. We're like, we're gonna go to the gym, we're gonna go jump in the sea afterwards, we're gonna go on a hike. And then typical Irish weather is just being Irish weather, so we're just gonna have a pleasant time. Maybe a duvet day, curl up on that couch, see what happens. Watch more videos on minimalism. That's, that's our new thing. Yeah, we're just gonna become minimalists from now on. We're just gonna get way into any idea.
We just pick up ideas and just run with them way too far. There's no level of like moderation whatsoever. Hooked into it.
So I just came to the place where I get like lunch very regularly, and they're like, someone left something for you. I honestly don't know what it is. I guess I'm not putting it on for YouTube. I don't know what it is. Sorry, I was— okay.
Oh my God.
Rob, I've been following you since the poverty soda days, and you've been a constant source of inspiration, entertainment, and valuable fitness insight for me. Watching content has inspired me constantly to improve and challenge myself, and I'd like to thank you. I've started a nonprofit clothing brand called @Cabware— check us out on the gram— to provide shelter and education to some of the world's most vulnerable children. For every one of our €35 hoodies that we sell, we give €20, uh, to Zanda Ireland— I presume that's the charity— to fund the construction of a secondary school in Kabwe, Zambia. I'm sending you the hoodie because without you, your content I don't think I'd have had the self-confidence to start this initiative. Thank you, Rob. All the best and keep up the good work. Will Robbins. Man, that's so cool.
That's actually sick.
I'm about to start crying. Oh my God, this is slick.
That's actually sick. Let me hold it up. Let me see the design on the back.
Mate, that's like some dude wear.
Must be sick then.
Yeah, yeah. Needless to say, I'm gonna link everything in the description box. That is insane. Like, I'm honestly gonna start crying. And like, it's like whenever you're, you know, you seeing a negative comment or something like that. You got to think of the amount of not only nice comments but like really nice gestures. Like, that is insane.
All right, this is it.
This is what we're eating. Boom. Talk to improve mode.
Going retro on it.
We are doing 2 scoops each of Pump because we're just in the mood to have just a filthy workout.
And we're saying, the thing is about when you're bulking, obviously It's a greater discrepancy between like flat, no pump physique and absolutely ruthless, like sick pump in the gym physique. So let's not judge right now. Let's at least wait till we've done like a few sets and see how we're looking, man. I feel like it's gonna be okay.
All right, we're all gonna make it. All right, 2 scoops of this. So discount code on screen, people. So we're heading off to the gym now, but first we want to stop off at Body First Nutrition to get some 3D Energy, which is of course Christian Guzman's energy I think I've tried it before, but Joe has not tried it yet, so that's what we're gonna do. For a second there, I totally forgot my wallet and he started making fun of me. How dare you!
This is just Rob before you go out, honestly. I'm like, shit, oh no, I've actually lost my wallet.
Like, it's actually— the sushi card is gone. Did you ever get those sushi points back?
I did not, mate. I'm fucking dying of mercury poisoning because I've been trying to work them back up.
Tragedy. So we're just about to into Body First, get energy drinks and protein bars because that's what we like. And then we're also planning our upcoming travel plans and we're saying, how do we travel without getting sick of each other and hating each other? And we're just— we have to periodize our friendship. So we're thinking 2 days on, 1 day off, man, and like alone time.
Yeah, you need to like sit on a step for a bit and think about like how you're being and that, how you sound and stuff.
Usually I'm the one who asks myself.
I don't know if we mentioned this, We had this moment when we were both like drunk at a festival in Spain and we were like, we actually wouldn't be friends if we lived like right next to each other, man. Yeah, yeah, good that there's like just a bit of an ocean between us.
There's good that, yeah, there's a flight between us.
It's very, you know, although we're similar, similar in a lot of ways, we also annoy the fuck out of each other. Yeah.
Protein store.
Oh, I've never heard that one before.
I think I say that literally every time I walk in these stores. Yeah, they're alright when you put them in the microwave.
Ah, okay.
Yeah, yeah.
I tried one on a buddy of mine and I was like, nah.
Anyways, what's, if you want the full 3D Energy review, go over to Joe's channel. What would you give it? Just quick one out of 10, like.
Honestly, it's 8 or above. Like, yeah, it is genuinely really good. Like, you know, I wish I had, you know, more in-depth review, but.
I'll send you home with a few cans.
Honestly, yeah, would you?
Yeah, I actually will.
Well, there you go then. Full review coming. There we are.
I definitely don't need more caffeine in my life. All right, let's go to the gym. All right, people, so we're having a good old vloggy raw gym session. So we're doing chest day, uh, chest, shoulders, triceps. So I'm just warming up a little bit. This guy's pumped, he's pumped for life. We got the, we got the tunes on and everything. It's gonna be a good one. Yeah, overhead press on the Smith machine, and I always forget forget that this exercise exists until Joe brings it up. And I think that last time I actually did it was in Thailand back in March or something, in that— what's that gym? Elite? In Elite Gym Fitness in Samui. Unbelievable gym, and we want to make a return there. I reckon another Thailand trip's on the cards. Bulk update. Looking massive, bro. Shit. Oh, there it is, people. This is what you clicked on the video for. So this is our third exercise, uh, so we've only got like 60 kg on the bar because we're pretty taxed. We're feeling it. We're doing more sets without even noticing because we're just having a chat. That kind of makes for a good workout. So right, uh, third exercise, let's get it.
Stay hot.
Oh, what? This is what you're here for, the bulking update. Who's bigger? Who's fatter? Like, that's not fair. That is actually not fair.
Yeah, I've got a pump too, fair.
Yeah, so do I.
It's looking deadly, man.
Nuts.
Yes.
This is it. This is your Natty Kings in their not so shredded state.
Often it's just a lack of energy. That causes the— you have the strength still, you still have that strength. You don't lose strength so fast, man. Be a shit human body if you just lose, lost strength as soon as you're on 500-cal deficit. Definitely, you know what I mean? A lot of time it's just the result of like poor energy. So things you can do on a cut to kind of at least slow— well, I don't think you should lose strength for a cut for a long time until you're pretty deep into it and quite lean as well. People automatically go into the, that are caught with the mindset of like, I'm gonna lose strength. You know, if you tell people— honestly, I found with coaching people, if you tell people, uh, don't expect to lose any strength the first 2 months, they don't.
Yeah, yeah, it's like, it's like a placebo thing, isn't it?
Yeah, yeah. And so anyway, regardless of your deficit, you know, you can, you can eat more nutrient-dense, that you can try and get as much sleep as possible. Anything that's going to contribute to you having better— because your performance is what you need to upkeep. Exactly. Your performance is what creates your physique, right? Obviously you can't just take that as a standalone statement, but the point is your physique is a result of the demands on it, right? And so to maintain your performance, nutrition should be just something that facilitates that.
Yeah, yeah, like a real simple way of putting it is like if you're benching 100 kg at, you know, the start of your cut and the end of your cut, probably didn't lose any muscle, you know? Yeah, you haven't. That's a very simple way of putting it.
What is it? It's like it's actual little like circular.
Yeah, yeah, let's do them. All right, workout done. And in that gym session, we were like, we do not eat enough vegetables on this bulk, so we're going for a nice healthy salad at a place called Sprout. And so yeah, all the Christmas lights popping off as well behind me, it's giving me that good Christmas feel in Dublin. But, uh, so yeah, let's go in and get a nice big healthy nutritious salad. Look at all those colors, look at them nutrients. That is what I'm talking about. And then you got some similar but with a bit of quinoa. Do you say quinoa or quinoa?
Yeah, it's quinoa.
Oh man, I've been saying it wrong my whole YouTube career.
You haven't vlogged that, have you?
I have, yeah, many times. Let's eat.
That was great, I approve. I feel like I want something that's more going to go, ah, like— Yeah, yeah, these are chopsticks, by the way, not scissors. Have you got chopsticks?
No, I don't have chopsticks.
We can't do sushi.
Okay, no. Yeah, yeah, well, we could get chopsticks. So yeah, we just spent, uh, like the last hour watching ourselves on YouTube cuz we're actually sick and our travel videos are exceptionally good. Actually made us really want to go to Thailand again. There are the videos we were watching and oh my God, good times, good times. But now we're gonna go decide what we want to eat. I think we're going to hit up Tesco and then maybe like Nando's, sushi, or Milano's. We'll see. You ready?
Ready, lad.
So we're going to our old faithful, which is actually this Tesco in particular. It is featured in a lot of my calorie challenges. I think every single one I've actually gone This is Tesco 24 Hours in Dundrum, and we're about to go in and absolutely pull the pants off it, as Joe would say.
I'm gonna commit atrocities on this Tesco.
Yes, now I'm ready.
I can't wait to drink BCAs with this, for real. We need to— this is hard. It's hard to operate this shit when there's literally not a utensil in sight.
Yeah, that was a peasant drawer.
Yes, it's all right, we got this. That's risky.
Oh man, that could have gone anyway.
Yes, smashed it! Yeah, so Chef Bundy, all right, let's get close up of these.
All right, this is the buffalo mozzarella, and this is where we're getting our protein hit. That's like the spicy chicken. Basically, the update on this place is I'm moving. This was just temporary. I'm actually moving apartments. Today is Tuesday, kind of clearing everything out tomorrow, Wednesday, and then I'm moving out on Thursday and be completely gone by Friday. So right now, you know, I'm at a stage in my life where I'm not sure if I want to stay in Ireland, if I want to buy a place, if I want to rent for another year, because there's actually benefits to renting, believe it or not. Long-term commitment— got commitment issues. But so yeah, I just need to decide what I want to do in the next coming months. So anyways, this place was just temporary. So say goodbye. I actually really liked it. Location was Dun Laoghaire. I can say that now because by the time this video is up, I'll be gone, so no one will come and kill me. Um, so yeah, I really liked it, but on to the next one. So yeah, I'm gonna finish up this vlog here. Probably gonna vlog tomorrow as well. So yeah, night night. Checking out the new apartment that I'm moving into. Uh, so we're down in reception now. I'm about to see it for the first time. Yeah, look. It's pretty much you. Yeah, bargain town. So quick little tour of the new apartment.
I really don't like sweet, man.
Sick.
That's the difference, son.
We are— right, we are at the airport, Joe.
Airport.
Airport. Airport.
That was pretty decent.
We're gonna finish up the vlog here. I hope you enjoyed. Nice little kind of chilled bulking eating, just me and Joe catching up. Hope we spread the good vibes. And we've decided that that we actually don't hate each other and we're ready to— that much, and we're ready.
48 hours is ideal.
48 hours is the sweet spot, I know. And we're ready to go traveling with each other again.
Rob's a bit fuming at me now though because he paid a tenner for a toll.
Yeah, I'll send you the invoice for that. Next thing we're gonna do is probably gonna sort out Australia. So Australian peeps, get at us, give the video a thumbs up for the Rob and Joey D collaboration. I'll see you in the next one.
Peace.
