Please don't laugh at me. I know I look like I got dipped in a tub of Nutella. I wish. So I got my tan on anyways. Today is Saturday. It is coming up to 4 o'clock. I'll be heading down to Limerick soon. And just there, I'm just about to prep my meals for the next 24 hours. So I'll show you what I got going on. I just went up to Lidl, as you know how I do, and I got stuff that is not gonna bloat me, but it's gonna give me a lot of energy. So stuff like chocolate, Haribo— I'm gonna have them for a step on stage. And then there's turkey and some cod fillets there. I'm gonna make a huge tub of rice to eat with them just today and early on tomorrow. And then some eggs. And then I'm also gonna snack on rice cakes, honey, and jam. So I'll show you when It's all put together and let's get this show on the road, literally. Alright, so I think that's everything, all looking good. Let's go! What is going on everyone? So, uh, we're driving down to Limerick on this beautiful day. Um, mood isn't that great right now, like I'm covered in tan, I feel horrible. And, you know, I'm not getting my hopes up too much. Like, I've seen some of the other competitors and they are in great shape. And, you know, maybe my head's just messing with me at this stage, but, you know, I'm not getting my hopes up. Like, if I place, I'll be over the moon.
But, um, I don't know how it's looking now. But again, it's just like a good experience to do so. And, uh, maybe my mood will change when I'm up on stage. But hey, look, it's all a bit of a laugh.
So I'll check in with you at the hotel. We are about an hour and 20 minutes away, as you can see on the Grand Theft auto, Google Maps. So I'll see you then. Alright, so here we go. Pretty decent, gets the job done. I'm hardly going to give you a tour because there's not much to give you a tour of. And here's a bit of a sneak preview of what's going to come tomorrow. Still not too happy, but what can you do? All tanned up as well. But right, time for registration, then probably going to watch a movie, chill out. Alright, so went and registered registered number 102. Not a bad number. And got some plaque there as well. But I'm gonna catch an early night, maybe watch a movie, and see how I wake up looking tomorrow. All right, so I went for the potatoes and eggs and a bowl of fruit with a ton of sugar on it. Remember, I'm trying to get in carbs that aren't going to fill me up. And then Sarah just went for sausage, eggs, and obviously croissant, which she's probably gonna go for 3, 4 of them, let's be honest. Yeah. So this is definitely the worst part. It's like midday and I'm not gonna be on stage for another like 4 or 5 hours, and this is just— oh, tension and everything is just killing me. There's some back action for you, actually. Um, so yeah, you know, just kind of doing a light pump every now and then, getting some really simple carbs in that won't bloat me, such as, you know, Haribo and stuff like that. I'm just trying to kill some time. I might do some client emails, 'cause, you know, this weekend I've been so busy, obviously, and I've let my emails build up on me, which I never do, and I feel terrible. So I might try to get that done. Sarah's just in bed watching some YouTube, and yeah, check in with you later. Here it goes again. I'm just not gonna get too caught up in things. I'm not gonna get too nervous about it, and just do it. It's not the end of the world. Just gonna try to have a laugh. Here it goes.
That's it, Paul, keep hitting them. That's it. Mam Rob! Mam Rob! Woo! Woo! Go Rob! Woo! There we go.
I don't think Right, so it is the next day. Uh, I got home last night, ordered a big old Domino's and a tub of Ben Jerry's as a straight-up cheat meal. Not one macro was fitted. And so I ate that, you know, I was exhausted, and I just went to sleep. So, you know, I woke up today, uh, it's so much emails, and I just went to the gym. I'm just coming back from the gym now, straight back at it, you know, no days off. But let's talk about how the competition went. So I was in a class of 28 or 30 guys, and I'm a realist, okay? I'm not just saying this, but That class, the standard was very high. Everyone had a great physique, and I'm not easily impressed, but I was admiring everyone. And so anyways, 30 of us came out on stage, and then they cut that down to a top 15. I made the top 15, and then after that, uh, they cut it down to a top 6, and it was game over. I was, I was a little disheartened, you know. I thought I could have made the top 6. But that said, the guys who did make the top 6 were all in great shape. So I was a little disheartened, and then I broke the news on Instagram, Snapchat, and Facebook, and all these comments from you guys came in being like, Rob, you didn't let anyone down, you're an absolute inspiration, you made me start going to the gym, you made me want to do this and that. And all your comments swear to God, it just lifted my mood so much. That is, that is what I'm doing this for, to inspire people, to change people's lives for the better, and that's worth anything more than some trophy. So, you know, I'm in pretty good form today. It was definitely a good experience. I'm so glad I did it. Gave me great content for the channel, and you know, it's a different experience. All the guys backstage and everything. So, so nice. I made some great friends. Anyone around the Galway-Limerick area, I'll definitely be going down, hit a few gyms in that direction— Galway City Gym and whatnot. And so I really enjoyed the whole experience, and I'm glad I did it. Also, if you want to see my condition, I posted a photo on my Facebook page and my Instagram that I'll put up here. It's a pretty clear photo of how I looked on the day. And I think I'll also do a big Q&A this week. But like I said, you know, today just back at it and just back from the gym now. 12 days or until Body Barre, maybe 10. But yeah, so that's it, that's it done. I hope you enjoyed my prep, but the journey still goes on. Still got plenty more to come. Thanks for tuning in. See you next video. Fucking love you guys.
