Anyone out there on a budget and they're struggling to afford the latest pre-workout? Black coffee, it's all you need. What is going on everyone? So, 2 things I want to talk about today, and I just woke up and I realized them. And the first one is that we've hit 40,000 subscribers, which is great. I'm really happy with that. And the channel is growing faster than ever these days, so thank you to anyone who has hit that subscribe button. It means the world to me. And the second, I didn't even notice. Basically, I got like a notification and it was on a really old video and it was like, oh wow, you know, fair play, a year in the difference. So I was like, what's this? So I clicked on, and this day last year was the day I quit my day job, my 9 to 6, and I went full-time with YouTube. I didn't even realize it. Like, time, time flies. And that video is still there for anyone who wants to watch it. All my videos are still there. First one I ever made, still there. It's just crazy how much can change in a year if you have the right mindset. Like, I didn't always have this mindset. I used to be really negative. I used to hate myself. I used to be depressed. I used to be such a pessimist, and it was around this time last year when I kind of, you know, went full-time with my own business. I said, this is what I want to do. I'm going to have to change my mindset. And that's when I started, you know, positive thinking, reading more into positive thinking, visualization. Visualization is just huge. It is life-changing. You know, I'm a yearly planner, and I write down things that I want to achieve on the a given date. And when I write it down, I just drill it into my head that it's going to happen. There's no other outcome. That's— I pretty much say, oh, this has already happened. And then when that thing happens on the day you've written it down, it's scary. It's insane. It's like you've seen a ghost. It's like, oh my God, like, this is exactly what I wanted to happen. This is exactly what I wrote down. And it's just a great way to think. And honestly, it'll change your life. So yeah, just looking back exactly one year from now on as when I started doing YouTube properly. Before that, I was obviously working a day job and I'd do maybe 2 videos a month. I'd do them sporadically. And when you really concentrate on something, that is when you're going to excel at it. So just a little disclaimer as well, I'm not saying, "Oh, I'm a big visionary. Oh, I'm a huge success." There are tons more people who've done much more amazing things, achieved so much more success in a shorter amount of time. I'm just telling you I'm just telling you what's up. I'm just telling you what I— my life. I'm just talking on the camera to you guys. That is what is going on today. I'm so excited for the coming years and just waking up and seeing those two things has just got me in a great mood. And I'm just really grateful as well. That's another thing. You should always say thanks to the world. Be very grateful for everything you have. It'll put you in a good mood. You know, don't focus on the things in your life that's going wrong. Focus on everything that's going right. Focus on all the things you do have, and hey, you'll feel great. So enough of me talking. It is time for me to start the day. Something else I have to add, a year from now, you'll wish you started today. People always ask me, Rob, do you have any regrets? I say, yeah, I wish I was doing what I was doing now earlier on in life. And that applies for anything. If you're starting an exercise regime, starting to eat healthier, starting a business, anything, just start, just start today. That is just the best thing you can do. Just, just begin, make that first step. Alright, so first meal of the day is something I make regularly. It is gonna be some white potatoes, egg whites, and then I just chopped up some veggies here. So we got onion, tomatoes, peppers, gonna put this all together now. Alright, so we got the potatoes in the microwave, veg going at it there, and really easy way to kinda, you know, track whatever liquids you're pouring out is set to zero, pour in however much you want, and when you put it back— so I just took out -230 grams there. You probably noticed that I eat very similar things every day, and I don't have a meal plan. I think, you know, there is merits to planning out your meals, having a routine and stuff, But meal plans can be very inaccurate in the sense of brands can completely differ. A 200-gram cut of beef could have 50 grams of fat in it, or it could be extra lean, could have 4 grams of fat in it. So you can throw off your intake completely. But I'm not in one camp. Like, there seems to be like this clean eating versus if it fits your macros versus like intermittent fasting versus carb backloading. I'm not married to one approach. All those protocols wouldn't be around if they didn't work for somebody. So, you know, there's no one-size-fits-all. Don't marry yourself to one approach. Don't say this is the way everyone has to do it because it's just bad coaching. And understand that people will prefer to do different approaches, and that is absolutely fine. So to wrap up that little breakfast talk, don't marry yourself to one approach. Be open-minded to everything. And that is meal number 1. Doesn't look great, but it tastes great and it's very filling. It's a big plate. What's going on everyone? So back with another commentary and today is a pull workout. Now I'm just going to quickly talk about my split because I keep getting asked about it. You know, what's my split going to be on this cut? And it is a legs push pull split. It is available on my website. It is 6 days a week, legs push pull, legs push pull, repeat. But you can also go legs, push, pull, rest, legs, push, pull, rest, and so on so forth. And what I want to talk about in this commentary is enjoying your training, enjoying your split. The most optimal split is one that you enjoy the most and that you're going to adhere to and sustain for a long period of time. Anyone that has read Eric Helms' Muscle and Strength Training Pyramid will know that this is pretty much the most important part of any program. I have ran a couple of splits in the past, but I think this one has just given me the best results because every time I'm running it, I'm just looking forward to every single session. Admittedly, push sessions are my favorite day, but I, I do love every day. If I could only make it to the gym 4 to 5 days a week, I would definitely do an upper/lower split. I love just— sometimes I love just going in and hitting a complete upper body workout. And that's also something I want to touch on quickly. Just because I train 6 days a week doesn't mean you have to. If you have a busy job schedule, you can only make it to gym 3, 4 times a week, that is absolutely fine. As long as you're hitting every body part with enough frequency, volume, and you're applying progressive overload, you're gonna make all kinds of gains. I just love going to gym 6 days a week, and it never really takes me more than an hour, so it's not exactly time-consuming. Anyways, I'm just gonna Finish up with some biceps here, and I might as well address a question that I also get asked very often. How do you develop the bicep peak? And the answer to that is pretty simple. Make your biceps bigger and then get to a low body fat percentage. Once you get to a low body fat percentage, that is when you're going to reveal all the minor details, and you're going to see all the shapes of your muscles. You're going to see what they actually look like. So when you're at a lower body fat percentage, you actually look way bigger. So I'm going to wrap up this commentary here. Leave the video a like if if you're enjoying the series. I'll catch you in the next clip. Alright, so just back from the gym. Still having really good workouts, you know. I haven't gone in and had a proper bad day yet. Usually when you have like 2 to 3 bad days in a row, it could be time to incorporate a refeed day. I will be talking about that further down the line. But anyways, let's make a little post-workout snack. I'll show you what I'm fixing up. This is kind of like my main meal of the day. I'm making a big kind of pasta dish, more veggies and some extra lean mince. You probably know this, veggies when you're cutting to bulk up a meal, they are your best friend. Obviously getting in sufficient micronutrients is excellent, fiber and all that, but this is really what's going to keep you full. So easy to cook, literally just all in. Alright, now just to top this meal off, I'm going to put some low-fat cheese on it. Looking good. Alright, so really quick and easy meal and a solid hit of protein in it. I'm just going to have one of these Glenys yogurts. Mix it in with some MyProtein protein pudding. This is just pretty much like chocolate yogurt. Add some strawberries and my syrup on top of that too. Alright, so there is what I'm having, and I just thought I'd show you what Sarah's having too. She's having Glenisk and a protein bar in there, so it's kind of like protein brownie and ice cream if you use your imagination. Alright, anyways, I'm gonna wrap this vlog up here. I was meant to come out with a couple more videos during the week there, but I had some YouTube fails. It happens. Basically, the first fail was me and Sarah sat down to do one of those couples tag challenge things where, you know, you do the how well you know each other. And like, it's meant to be funny and entertaining to watch because maybe you find out new things you don't know about each other. But as you guys know, we've been together a long time, so we did the questions and we just knew everything about each other. So we're just like, well, this is gonna be shit to watch. Here's a clip from it. Who is my favorite actor? Leonardo DiCaprio. Why are we so like— what are we gonna do? Know each other too well. I think just cut it off. I think we should do a different tag. Yeah, cut it off. Yeah. So if there is anything that you want me and Sarah to try, you know, comment down below. Uh, they're definitely They're actually, they're definitely gonna comment make porno. I'm actually just gonna leave that part in. Yeah, so comment down below any video ideas you have. And then the next fail was the 100 rep squat challenge. I got called out by Tim Rodriguez and his channel, you know, to do it. And it's 60% of your 1 rep max 100 times. I think it's as quick as you can. So I did 110 kg. I got up to around 70 reps. I was doing sets of 8 to 10, and then there was a stage where I was just doing triples, and I just, I just can't take it. I failed because I'm definitely going off my one rep max from when I wasn't cutting. So doing that when I was cutting was a bad idea. Well, that was a complete fail on my behalf, but hey, look, that's all part of the whole YouTube thing, doing a few fails. So gonna finish things up here. Hope you like this little video. More coming during the week. Thank you for watching. Keep it real. I love you guys. Onwards and upwards.
