Upcoming News, Half Assed Leg Day, The Gains Depot (Vlog #3)

In this informal vlog, Rob Lipsett walks viewers through his morning routine—drinking lemon‑green tea—and reflects on his long‑time cat George and his late dog Beauty. He critiques the macros of an organic beef purchase, emphasizing macro tracking flexibility. Rob announces two upcoming projects: a new, fully‑designed website and a tentative supplement sponsorship. Feeling slightly ill, he heads to the gym for a leg‑day session, detailing his warm‑up, belt usage, squat sets, stiff‑leg deadlifts, leg extensions, calf raises, hamstring curls, and core work, while noting the benefits of recording workouts for form correction. After the gym, he visits Lidl (the “Gains Depot”) to stock up on veg, fruit, avocados, wraps, salsa, lentils, and low‑calorie salad bowls, explaining their macro profiles. He outlines his dinner plan (sweet‑and‑sour chicken with rice and pineapple) and shares his intention to attend a friend’s 21st birthday party sober, highlighting the practicality and social ease of staying dry. The vlog wraps with a quick mention of a steak‑potato‑spinach‑mushroom dinner and a sign‑off encouraging viewers to keep it real.

What is going on, guys? Morning. And I want to show you something this morning. This is actually what I have when I get up, and it actually tastes fantastic. It is green tea, lemon, and ice. And you know I'm not into the whole, you know, eat these certain foods to get shredded, or this one weird tip to get abs. But this is actually really nice to wake up to. And of course it would have a few health benefits too, but nothing game-changing. But, um, yeah, so I'm gonna cook breakfast now and get on with my day. An episode of Lip TV would not be complete without feeding shithead over here. George is actually like 14 years old So he is pretty old, like, I've had him forever. A little-known fact is I had, about 2 weeks before I started making YouTube videos, I had a dog and she was like nearly 17 years old. Her name was Beauty, and, um, yeah, so she would have featured Gregory as well. And, uh, yeah, but yeah, she died from old age. I was so sad about it, but, um, Like at least she didn't get, you know, at least it wasn't unexpected, like she got hit by a car, or she got sick or something, you know, she just died from old age, it was fair enough, you know, she did her time, she was a great dog. So I'm making my usual beef in the morning, and I got this stuff 'cause it was on sale, and I was like, oh, organic, great. And I notice the macros fucking suck. It's like 20 grams of protein, 13 grams of fat, and the usual non-organic stuff I usually get is like, 2 grams of fat. And you know, here you have the livestock feed on a GM-free organic diet. I don't give a fuck if my cow was drinking Jameson and smoking crack before it took a one-way trip to the fucking meat factory, like, as long as it gives me good macros. But anyways, I'll just factor this in, and I guess that's the good thing about tracking macros, you can still Eat whatever and balance it all out. Great breakfast as usual. I think breakfast has to be my favorite meal of the day. Like, the reason I like going to sleep is because it's like a time machine to breakfast. But anyways, I said on my page the other day that I had a bit of news for you, so I'll give you— I'll tell you a little bit. And that's basically that I've got a website in the process. And yeah, I'm not talking about some WordPress thing that I could have up in the morning. You know, a proper website I'm getting designed, and I'm excited for it. It's gonna be cool. It's got a lot of features, and yeah, like, I don't want to say much, but it's gonna be out sooner rather than later. And the reason I don't want to say much else about it is, you know, I hate people who keep talking about things. They're like, "Oh, it's coming, it's on the way," and, you know, it never even happens. But, um, so yeah, there's that. And the other bit of news is I am more— I haven't finalized it, but I'm more or less sponsored by a supplement company, and they gave me a great deal, and I decided to go with them. But again, stay tuned for that. Stay tuned for the coming weeks until I unveil all. But yeah, so anyways, that is that. And now I'm still feeling a bit sick, by the way. You can probably Talbot hakimi like. But, um, gonna go to the gym anyways. Just so happens today falls on a leg day. Great. But, um, you know, I'm not sick enough to sack it off, you know, like I'm more or less grand. But yeah, so I'm gonna go get that done and I'll see you in the gym. I think if there was ever time for this stuff, it is today. And that is also some advice right there. Don't just take pre-workout every day, just take it when you need a kick up the ass. What is going on? I decided I would just do a little voiceover on this, um, just instead of listening to random gym music. But I'm just starting off with a bit of mobility work, and I know it's not too exciting, but I told her I didn't included, because I never do, even though I do always properly warm up for every session. It's just great to, especially for legs, you know, it's important just open up the hips and get loose. <LYRICS>They keep running back to you.</LYRICS> And sorry children, this video is actually rated PG-13, so please excuse the bulge or lock off. And then I'm just getting my inside my groin. Okay, so I like to start off with just an empty bar on anything I'm doing, being an overhead press, bench press, and just go through the bar path of what I like, of what I'm planning on doing. Here I'm just warming up with a 60 kg, getting ready, and again, just kind of stretching things out, getting things warmed up. And when I'm warming up, I always like to just move up in 20s. So here again is just another warm-up set of 100 kg, still just loosening out and getting ready for my working sets. And here I am just getting ready, sticking on my belt. A good recommendation for your belt is if you're lifting over 85% of your one rep max, And also, if you need a belt will vary. Usually long torso people will find a lot of use from a belt, but shorties can do with one too. Here I'm just doing 125 kg. I did 4 sets of 5. Usually I would get an easy 4 sets of 6, but today, you know, as I was saying, I'm feeling a bit sick and not feeling them. I'm just kind of grinding them out. But hey, Look at me making excuses. Escaped me the recall. And after this, I went on to stiff leg deadlifts. So again, I'm just warming up with 60 kg. At this point, actually, my camera started to run out of memory. I record all my videos on an iPhone 5S, so maybe it's time to upgrade the channel and get a new camera. Who knows what tomorrow will bring? But this is just 100 kg here. And a great thing about recording your workouts is you can check your form. Like, I need to keep my head in a more neutral position instead of looking up. I'm going to work on that in the future. But, um, yeah, so that's a great thing about recording your workouts. You can always just be your, be your own biggest critic. And now just hitting up some leg extensions. I didn't record my full workout. My full workout is up on shredded.ie. I also hit up some calf raises, some hamstring curls, and I did a bit of core work too. But that's all the footage I have for you today. All right, so just got back from the gym. There's shit all food in the house, so I'm gonna have to give the 19-minute anabolic post-workout window of miracles a miss this time. But, uh, Anyways, buckle up because we're going to the supermarket, or as I like to call it, the Gains Depot. Right, so back from Lidl and I got all the usual stuff. Got, you know, veg, fruit, avocados, tortilla wraps, the salsa I always get. Unfortunately, the meat factory I go to was closed today, so I had to get my meat in Lidl. And then something I want to highlight is lentils. I only kind of got into these recently. But macros off the gods. They got like 7 grams of protein, 18 grams of carbs, and 6 grams of fiber per 100 grams. That's awesome. And then also these salad bowls are very good too. There's 45 calories in the whole thing, and, um, just throw a bit of meat in there and you got yourself a solid meal. Um, and then obviously gotta have the poverty soda on deck. And for dinner tonight, I think I'm gonna have sweet and sour chicken with rice, peppers, and a bit of pineapple as well in there. It will go well. So yeah, I think I'm gonna make that now. Yo, what is going on everyone? It is Friday, so I'm heading out. I am going to a 21st, a friend's 21st. I'm wearing triple extra small everything. Take it or leave it. But tonight I'm actually, I'm not drinking. As I said, you know, I've been feeling a bit ill all week and I just kind of want to take it easy. And the odd time I go out sober and I have no problem with it. I'm not awkward around people when I'm out and I'm not drinking. And you know, it's a good way to be. And it's also handy, you know, you drive to the pre-drinks and you pick everyone up, you bring them into town, everyone loves you for it, and then you can just drive home. So going out sober, it's not too bad. But anyways, that's my plan for tonight. I'll catch you in the next clip. Also, before I go, I am having steak, potatoes, spinach, and mushrooms. And I apologize in advance for the piss-poor presentation. #foodporn not even once. Waking up, feeling fresh, you can't beat it. But, uh, I guess today, this morning, concludes yesterday's vlog. So unless you want me to vlog again today, which you probably don't, I'm gonna wrap it up here. So thanks for watching. As always, keep it real.
