Was This All A Mistake? (Building My Dream Marbella Villa)

Rob Lipsett shows the progress on Villa Lipsett, his Marbella renovation in Spain. The walls are plastered and painted, windows and doors installed, and the roof is done by ProBuilder, all within the €91K budget. He's planning a pool, outdoor oven, and hot tub next.

What's going on guys? Welcome back to Marbella. The last couple of weeks have been crazy. We were in Los Angeles, we were in Texas, we were visiting Alf Land, and that went something like this. But now we're back in Marbella, we're back building Villa Lipsett, we're back hitting up Paddle Gym, and we're here for most of July. Then we're gonna go back to Dublin, got some stuff to do there, and then probably back to Marbella again. But that is pretty much summer mapped out. Today we're gonna hit some chest, the sun is out, feeling a good one, and then we're gonna go check on the villa afterwards, have a good day in the life. So give video a thumbs up and let's get into it. All right, so working sets, we're gonna go for 3 sets of 8 here, see how we're feeling. Haven't flat benched in a while, mainly doing dumbbells, but, uh, this bench It's actually like a kind of fat bench. It's a wide one, so you feel a little bit more support when you're pressing. Keep a little bit of leanness over summer. LA and Texas surprisingly came back in good shape after training in Gold and then Outland. But I think for the rest of the summer I'm gonna relax on diet a little bit, you know, stop tracking macros, be a bit more flexible with my nutrition. In training and just enjoy myself for a little bit. Who knows, maybe do a competition prep around September, August. Who knows? Fuck you now. Oh my God, chest is fried after that bench press. Oh my God, toast! Holy shit, that was the best chest pump I've ever gotten in my life. That's actually pretty good. I basically sat up though.
Turn the 10 piece to a 20 quick. I got money busting out the money clip. Make a call and hit another lick. Someone get the money counter, I can keep on coming in. Turn the 10 piece to a 20 quick. I got money busting out the money clip.
I might finish off a little bit of triceps. We're good to go. All right, so last exercise of the day, we're doing some overhead tricep extensions. I haven't done these in a while, and my little tip for these is use a preacher curl, sit backwards on it, and just get a huge stretch. Almost kind of lean back. My second favorite alternative, my second favorite option to doing these would be if you get a cable machine and you have a small bench and you set it up so you're doing the same movement.
But this is perfect. Oh, we're doing it, guys!
Welcome back to Villa Lipsett. As you can see from the last video, we have made big progress and we are nearly there. Okay, so first of all, McWhale is gone. Okay, the walls are looking silky smooth now. And everything is plastered and painted as well. And when things got painted, I realized, I was like, okay, that's it, there's no more construction or deconstruction left, we're on the home straight. Another big one is we now have windows, which are pretty essential for a house. And big news is that in about 1 week or 2 weeks, all the rest of the windows and the sliding doors will have arrived and the house will be closed off. And once it's closed off You pretty much sleep there. But anyways, let's give a quick little run-through of the updates and how things are looking. So first of all, this is obviously still yet to be done, but we added in these nice little pebbles to give it a real kind of Mykonos, Mykonian feel. So there's going to be micro cement around that. We want to make the house look really clean while also adding as much character as possible. So that's the first little addition in here as you walk through. Think lovely big black door, gonna look so clean. I'll get to that in a minute as well. But one of my favorite parts of the whole house that we just added is this thing right here. So it is the stone wall. We don't want a villa that's just plain white walls everywhere. We want to add some kind of signature pieces. So when you walk in, you turn around, you see that, you see the kitchen in here, it's gonna— it's gonna look wow. So then next up, again, we have all our matte black sockets in. The house does have electricity, as you can see here, so you know, that's a big plus. And I did a little poll on the Instagram Villa Lipsett, and you guys said black switches is the way to go. We're going to do white to kind of have them blend in, but apparently they get those fingerprints on them and they get really dirty, so we went for the matte black switches, and I think they look amazing. Next up in here, we have the bathroom. Again, all all kind of concrete, micro cement. Little shelf here, gonna be 2 sinks, double sink, couple sink, and then 2 mirrors up above and a little LED light here as well. So when you're doing your makeup— I don't wear makeup— but when someone's doing their makeup, they're going to be looking fresh, getting ready for a night out. Toilet will go here, another black window here, and a good sturdy shower here. And then so down here we have bedroom 1 and 2, not much change there. Going to be very simple, minimalistic. The kind of bed is going to make that, and when the cupboards go in as well. And then out here, this is pretty cool. So we are keeping the original doors of the villa and we're completely sanding them down, restoring them, varnish, nice finish on them, everything. And we're painting them matte black. So one of them just got done here, another being prepared right there, and we're gonna have a nice clean window in in the middle too. So that's going to be the main door, and then this is the door for upstairs, if I'm not mistaken. Speaking of which, let's head upstairs, which has made the most progress so far. So we're gonna have a nice little lights here, a little outdoor switch, so it's going to illuminate the side of the building when you walk up. And remember what the stairs was like before— it was like a rail, it looks so dingy, it looked like if you leaned against it, it would fall over. This is very Mykonos, Santorini inspired, as is a lot of the villa. And I just think it looks so clean. So let's head upstairs and see the progress that was made. So this is the part of the villa that actually gets the most sun, and I'm very proud of it. So the whole kind of wall has been redone, cleaned up. The side of the villa looks perfect. The roof, we added a new roof on, which ProBuilder, the company that I'm working with, they were so kind to just add that in. We still haven't gone over budget. Everyone was saying, you're going to go over budget, you know, it's not going to be €91K. And working with ProBuilder, again, not sponsored or anything, they've just been really nice about the whole thing and they've just been so helpful. So we didn't even know there was a leak in the roof and that it needed to be replaced. They identified that when it was raining in Marbella a few months ago and they just did it all free of charge to kind of stay within budget. So again, if you're renovating in Marbella, hit up probuilder.es I'll put a little link in the description box. So again, that looks really good. We still just have to power hose this part of the roof, but it's all going to look like that. And then just picture garden furniture out here. Oh, like all the— this is like a sun trap. This is what gets the most sun in the whole house. So we're gonna have like just lovely garden furniture, a little fire pit. And I think this is like my favorite part of the house, to be honest. Let's go inside. Let's see the part of the villa that has made the most progress. So We actually came on the perfect day. If you have a look here, we can see that the floor is literally getting completed as we speak. This is literally like the perfect timing that we could have showed up at. Oh my God, that is insane. So maybe if you go in, you have a look through that window, you can see what it looks like. As you can see, this part is pretty much nearly finished. I'm gonna have my office here, a little kind of upstairs living space here. The windows, black aluminum steel. Master bedroom in there, and then big nice bathroom in here. And so we have all the kind of like the shower head, the sink, the toilet, everything. So that just takes a day to install. So as soon as this is ready, I'll probably live upstairs for like maybe a month until all downstairs is complete, um, because I just can't wait to be in here. But it's going to be like a little mini hotel up here, you know. I think it's perfect. So now let's check out downstairs, see how that's doing. The swimming pool will be the very last thing to be finished. We're gonna have decking over here, and as you can see, the micro cement is all done. We have the outdoor oven here as well. That is going to be unbelievable. So you should have seen the state of it before, it just looked all over the place, and now it's so clean and square and everything. I absolutely love it. And so these covers are just on to kind of protect the microcement a little bit, but it's going to look super clean afterwards. And then this is going to be my little kind of gardening project. Uh, we're either going to put decking here and here or leave this a garden. And then here, this just arrived today, so we're getting a replacement door. This is going to be the third bathroom and also the laundry room. And then this thing just arrived. This is actually my first time seeing it. That looks super clean. And again, just matte black, aluminum steel, everything. Wow, wow, pumped. Oh, okay, I just opened it. All right, I'm going to leave that there before I break it. But that is replacing here. And then also, here's another window that just arrived. So that is gonna go here. Over here, this is where we want to put the hot tub and then the garage as well for where my G-Wagon is gonna go. But that's next project. So guys, hope you enjoyed the Villa Lipset update, and thank you so much for following me on this journey. We're nearly there, and the Villa Lipset pool party is going to be insane.
