Weighing In, Hitting Back, My Favourite Meal | BodyPower Prep Ep.16

In this personal fitness vlog, the creator starts the day with a morning weigh‑in using a Vanity Planet smart scale, sharing his body composition numbers and offering a discount link. He then prepares protein‑rich blueberry pancakes, highlighting an oven‑baking shortcut and sugar‑free syrup. The vlog shifts to a pull‑day gym session where he demonstrates horizontal rowing movements, critiques common barbell‑row mistakes, and recommends alternative chest‑supported rows for better back activation, interspersed with crowd‑cheering encouragement. After the workout, he cooks his all‑time favorite meal—fillet steak with broccoli and crispy‑inside, soft‑outside sweet‑potato fries—explaining a quick‑boil method and seasoning technique. The video wraps up with a candid reflection on occasional writer’s block, the challenges of self‑employment, and a promise to keep authentic content for viewers.

Good morning everyone, how are we all getting on today? It's Friday, I got that Friday feeling. I don't really though, because when you work for yourself, just the weekend, it's just another day. But anyways, right, so I thought I'd kick this video off with kind of like a weigh-in, because I never do them for you. And yeah, we'll see where we're at so you guys can get all my stats. Then we'll sort out the morning hair. Usually I wouldn't, but I'm vlogging and I I wanna look nice for you guys. And then, uh, we get the day going. This cool scales by Vanity Planet. I love that name. It takes like all your details and stuff and it gives you kind of a few more details when you weigh yourself. So let's see what I'm coming in at. This is in the morning. So low 160s. And you weigh and it gives you everything like your bone density, your water percentage, your muscle mass, loads of stuff. It's pretty cool. Apparently Holly Holm uses it, and it's pretty stylish as well. It looks good in your apartment. If you want to pick one up, I will put a link in the description box that will get you 60% off. Check it out. All right, it's going to be protein pancakes this morning. Egg whites, pancake mix, and I'm also going to get some blueberries involved. Let's go. Also, the oven trick works great with pancakes too. So went for like one big one, just it's quicker, and I love You know when you get like the little leftover pancake? It's kind of just like, oh nice, didn't see that coming. And to even complete the blueberriness, I'm gonna stick on some sugar-free blueberry syrup. You have not lived until you have a White Monster with lemon and ice. What's going on everyone? So I'm back in Raw Gym, hitting pull day today, right? I'm about to do some horizontal rows. I decided I might as well give a few tips, okay? Now the barbell row is a great exercise, but it has got a lot of downfalls, especially for beginners who are still trying to get their form right. So a few things that happen is that a lot of people, they use too much leg drive instead of working their back, shoulders, and arms. They bring their torso down to meet the bar instead of vice versa, and when they get near failure, their form and their posture really goes to shit, so it's harder to push yourself a bit further. So with all that said, I kind of recommend going kind of like with barbell rows, just focusing on getting your form down, getting a proper contraction. So have a look. Alright, so now we're going to look at the chest board row, and you got to keep in mind that it's the same movement. You're literally pulling your arms, your elbows the same way. So you can either do it on a machine like this machine like this. You could prop up an incline bench, do it with dumbbells like that, it's all the same. So go for whichever one that feels best for you and that allows you to get the best contraction. So I spoke about with the barbell rows, you know, there's a lot of leg drive, you're swaying around a lot, but with this you're essentially locked in and it's just purely hitting your back, your rear delts, your arms. Not to mention, I just feel you can throw in like a bit extra squeeze at the top and just get a better overall contraction. So I'm not knocking the barbell row at all, I'm just weighing up some pros and cons. So I'm gonna get on with the rest of workout. Be sure to leave the video a like if you're enjoying it. Let's get it going. Yeah, don't worry, man. I'll hook you up. Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on! Another one, another one, another one, another one! Come on! Come on, go! Another one up, up, Rob! Up, up, up, up, up, up! Come on, Rob! Go, go, go, go! Keep going! Go through the burn! Come on, come on! Go, go, keep going! Oh my God, complete! Alright, so we are going for probably one of my all-time favorite meals. It's just so simple and just so perfect. It is your classic fillet steak, sweet potatoes, broccoli. Can't go wrong. Can't go wrong. Love it. Gonna put this together now. I'm excited. Actually, you know what? You're in for an absolute treat. I'm gonna show you how to make sweet potato fries the right way, 'cause people always like explain it too simply, they mess them up. I'm gonna show you how you nail them every time. So they're just like crispy but they're still soft on the inside, okay? And the secret is, obviously chop them into fries or wedges, however you like. But the secret is, boil them for about 4 minutes, maybe 5 minutes. Then have your oven on full blast, just heating up. Is the lighting okay? Alright, so drain the sweet potatoes, then put them on a baking tray. Nonstick spray. Now, very important, gotta season them. So we're gonna go salt, pepper, and then some Smoke and Spice seasoning. And give them a shake. And now ready to go. Put them in the oven for, I'd say, 10 minutes, but just keep an eye on them. We got tomatoes, mushrooms, onions getting grilled here. Broccoli is done. Then we got the star of the show, waiting to go. So we're just going to throw this into the pan. Now it's a party! This equals this. And there we go, everyone, fillet steak, sweet potato fries, and a side of veg. That is like my all-time favorite meal right there. It has to be. Checking out with that beautiful sunset. And then my ugly face. But right, fellas, um, fellas and ladies, I'm gonna wrap up today's vlog here. Hope you enjoyed. It's just been more chilled. And just, you know, some days you got those days where it's like not every day can be epic. And yeah, that, that is something with me as well. I hate when I get like writer's block. I'm like, I really want to come out with a video, but like I'm just not up to much all day. I'm like sitting at my desk and stuff. So I hope you guys still love me. But yeah, look, This is, this is just life. So I'll catch you in the next one. Thank you so much for watching. Keep it real. Checking out.
