In this personal fitness vlog, the creator documents a typical morning routine—including a workout and a chicken breast sandwich lunch—before heading to the Sports Surgery Clinic in Dublin with his companion Sarah for a DEXA (dual‑energy X‑ray absorptiometry) scan, which he describes as the most accurate method for measuring body fat percentage. He briefly promotes the Freeletics fitness app, noting its free download, workout variety, and proper form guidance. At the clinic he explains the scanning process, shows the gown, and makes a lighthearted bet on their body‑fat results. The scan reveals a total body fat of 5.8% (rounded to ~6%), with symmetrical regional fat distribution (e.g., 4.6% in each arm, 7.2% in each leg). He compares this figure to his own expectation (around 8%) and to a fellow natural bodybuilder, Alberto Núñez, noting how visual leanness varies with muscle mass. The video concludes with the message that body‑fat percentage is just a number; what truly matters is feeling good, performing well, and being confident, encouraging viewers to focus on overall body composition rather than a single metric.

Yo, what's up everyone? Welcome to today's video. So I'm just hitting up a morning workout, but the focus on today's video is going to be me getting a DEXA scan. Now, DEXA is probably the most accurate way to measure your body fat percentage. See people like, "Oh yeah, bro, you know, I'm 6% body fat. I saw a vein the other day," and all this. And a lot of people think they're a lot leaner than they actually are. So this will be a great way to not only see myself what percentage I'm at, but also for you guys to compare, to give you a better idea of where you're at. So just this morning, I'm just going about my day, hitting a normal workout, had breakfast. I'm not cutting water or anything, so this will be me at the moment, just how I walk around really. You working hard there? So I thought I'd just show you what I'm having for lunch. It is a chicken breast sandwich with low-fat cheese and then a ton of mixed salad on the side. And I'm probably gonna put some sriracha sauce, maybe some peri-peri on that. It's looking hella good. Also, I thought I'd mention an app recently got in contact with me that I thought was pretty cool, so I'm gonna recommend you guys to check it out. It's called Freeletics, and basically you download it, it's free to download, and and you can basically just choose like workouts, strength complex, even challenges that I think is kind of fun. You can also choose your goal: build muscle, lose fat, gain strength. And you even have kind of instructions. And I've seen a ton of apps and they like specialize in giving instructions and they don't even give the correct form. And so I've had a look at these and all the form seems to be bang on. So I'm going to link them down below. I recommend you check them out. Thanks again Freeletics for getting in contact. Another beautiful day in Ireland coming into summer. Weather's shaping up nicely. But anyway, Anyway, so we're just on the way to Sports Surgery Clinic in Sand Street. That's where me and Sarah are getting the DEXA scans done. And just to add a bit of background to this as well, um, a few videos ago I had like a plaster just on my arm there and everyone's like, oh, what are you injecting? And I was just like, tren. But, uh, no, on a serious note, I got my bloods taken and they all came back literally perfect. Like, all my markers of health were literally perfect. So, uh, you know, that provides a bit of Instagram as well. So we are about 24 minutes away, and I'll check in with you guys when we get there. I'll just give you a gown if you don't want to lie in between the white pockets. Okay, this gown is— I love it. I'm gonna wear this to bed now. Yeah, like way comfier than my pajamas. So I like that. Head on that line there. Yeah. Okay, just move down a little bit for me and just bring your arms by the side. Yeah. Perfect. Yes. We're going to make a bet on what we think we are. So I think I'm going to come in at 10, maybe 9%. I'd say you'll come in 8. Okay, so test results are about to come out to us now. All right, people, so I am going to dig into this sushi. Club Zero and a big salad bowl, and then we are gonna go over the results of my body fat test. So I came in at 5.8% body fat. This is what I was told to look at here because, you know, a lot of confusing stuff there. This is the percent, this is the fat, and this is the total. It's pretty interesting. You can see, you know, how much fat you carry on certain areas. And a lot of people think they've muscular imbalances and things like that, but they just carry carry their fat awkwardly, or they, you know, or their fat distribution isn't, um, isn't symmetrical. So you can see here, you know, my left arm 4.6, right arm 4.6, right leg 7.2, left leg 7.2. So everything seems fairly even for me, which is great. But yeah, so this is the total here. That's what I was told to look at, 5.8%. So let's just call it 6%. All right everyone, so there you go, uh, 5.8, let's say 6% body fat. I would give myself personally about 8%. I don't know why, maybe I've just got bad body dysmorphia, but, um, I'm going off what I saw in Alberto Núñez's DEXA scan. Um, I'll link that video below if you want to check it out. Or maybe it's just because, like I said, different body fat percentages will look different on different people. So if you have more muscle, which Alberto being the You know, a top-tier natural bodybuilder, he certainly does. It definitely looks a lot leaner on him. So yeah, take it or leave it, that's what it is. And but the most important thing I want to convey in this video is that body fat percentage is just an arbitrary number. It doesn't, it doesn't really matter. What matters is get to a level of body composition that number one, you feel good at, you perform good at, you're feel confident in your body and you're happy with. It's all— all those stuff is much more important than some number on a sheet. But hopefully you found this video enjoyable, informative, and it just was interesting for you guys to check it out. So I'll catch you later in the week. Much love, thanks for watching, keep it real.
