Why I LOVE The Fitness Industry | BodyPower 2016 Part II

In this vlog, Rob Lipsett documents Day 2 of the BodyPower Expo in London, showing behind‑the‑scenes moments with the Myprotein and Alpha Elite crews, fan interactions, and casual outings around the city. He highlights the camaraderie among fitness professionals, the enthusiasm of attendees, and his own fatigue after a packed weekend. Alright, so day 2, it's a beautiful day. We are— no worries, I'll begin again. Day 2, it is a beautiful day. I'm just with the Myprotein boyos here. We just had breakfast and we are going to BodyPower Expo Saturday. I am absolutely buzzing after the day we had on Friday, so I'm kind of even more excited today. My voice is slowly starting to come back, so let's hit it. So just getting into my gear for the second day of the expo. I just noticed this, it's pretty cool. Just to kind of like— I'd like an Irish flag there, but you know, it's just kind of like to show the UK tour. So see how this fits.
That's my look today.
Even wearing jeans. Jeans at an expo.
Let's go!
Right, so looking fresh.
Let's go outside.
Oh my God, I'm so excited for today. It is crazy. Like, I'm not even tired. Give it a look at Sarah's outfit today, all black and white. Gives a little 180.
Nice.
The drone is coming out.
So this crazed kind of fan stalker just showed up at the booth.
Oh yeah, I'm just getting a character. Oh shit, you got me! Just getting put me business hat on. How's it going, man? How's it going, everyone? Uh, it's been great meeting my hero today. Rob's—
do you know what?
Rob's like really humble in person. Like, you meet him and you think he's gonna be like big time, nah, he's dead humble.
I was hoping to be one of the first people I knew in the entire thing.
Back to the roots, man, back to the roots. Good to see you, man. Good to see you.
Chill time, everyone's just relaxing backstage, some burgers from The Gym Chef.
Shout out to those guys.
As you can see, my voice is pretty much gone at this stage, but like, if people have time to take time out of their day to watch my videos, yeah, I'm gonna give them 100%.
So I'll take, I'll take a croaky voice for a day or two, it's not a big deal. Onwards with the expo. I'm absolutely loving it. Everyone coming up and just saying the nicest things in the world, it just means a lot to us. All right, so we're having a walk around the expo and Sarah is about to go meet Jasmine, who she's absolutely obsessed with. So We want to like record her reaction.
She's over at the gym shark. What is up? This is Sarah. Oh my God, no, this is so funny. Oh my God.
Hi!
So I'm here at the Myprotein booth, having such a laugh. It is kicking off and I see some of the— like, guys, that's like, that's like makes my day. Like, I love that. So we're going to chill here, we're going to have some chats, going to have some fun. I love it. You know, I like to do this from time to time whenever I meet a client in real life. I love just coming on the vlogs. This is James Hughes. Uh, what did you purchase? It's a 6-inch burger. Yeah. So how'd you find it, man? It's amazing, man. Yeah, he was one of the clients who always checks in. Like, you know, the more you put into the program, the better results you're gonna get. Like, you know, the more questions you ask, the more interaction, the more you're gonna learn. So every time I see one of these, I'm just like, what? Why? Why does it look better on other people and not me? Like, come on, you look unbelievable, man. Thank you so much.
All right, so day 2 Is done. We are just like relaxing before we get ready to go out for dinner, and I am just going through kind of the photos that I'm tagged in from the day and just leaving a comment on all of them because it's kind of like that, you know, it's a little extra effort you make that kind of makes a difference to people's day. Like for example, see, Matt, my idol, Rob Lipsett, you're the most humble, genuine, and enthusiastic guy I've ever met. Pleasure to have seen you, bro. Like, what a nice thing to say. Like, so literally the least you can do is go like the post and comment on it. So we're just gonna chill, get ready for dinner, and then I'll catch up with you later. Uh, we're going for dinner with the Myprotein crew tonight. I think it's TGI Fridays or something.
You can probably tell I'm very tired.
Say hi to the vlog!
What's up everyone? Excuse the bad quality, uh, we are having a day out in London and I didn't bring my my vlogging camera, which is a bit silly, but hey, we're throwing it back to the old days. And I'm gonna do a bit of an iPhone vlog, which is kind of nice because it's so easy to kind of like, you know, use and turn around. So I'm with the Alpha League crew. BodyPower is finished and we're just kind of like having a day in London. The weather is absolutely beautiful and, you know, it was just after such a successful weekend, everyone's just in great spirits. So we're gonna do some shopping. I think we're gonna go for lunch now. I want sushi, but, uh, spaghetti house. So yeah, see what we get up to. Absolutely love London, it's beautiful. All right, so right now we're just looking around for a restaurant, um, but like, I already don't mind like walking around. Oh, excuse me. I really don't mind walking around. It's kind of like, you know, there's plenty of things to look at, plenty of things to like people watch and see and do, um, but We are looking at Zebrano now. It's also so much easier to vlog and like vlog your food and what you're eating with an iPhone because like you don't have to whip out a big like camera crew at your dinner table. All right, so we, uh, kind of like settled on this Asian place. It looks great because, you know, a lot of us are trying to stay on track with, you know, our diets. A few of these guys are a couple of weeks out from a, you know, men's physique and bodybuilding competitions. I've got my Alpha Elite video that I'm filming, you know, next week with Javon, or I think we even start filming tomorrow. So, you know, I want to be in decent shape. Obviously, you know, I'm not— don't be like stupid shredded for a competition, but, you know, I want to be in decent shape for that. So had a look at the menu. I think I'm either going to order like like some sashimi, which is like really kind of lean sushi, or maybe I'll just order like a rice dish or something. But yeah, no, we were looking around for a while trying to find somewhere that we can all— that can kind of cater to us all. Alrighty, so we've got some tuna sashimi, bit of peri-peri, some green tea, and then some basic chicken and brown rice. I'm gonna put some tamari sauce in this, soy sauce.
Dig in.
Alright everyone, so just back from the most epic weekend ever. And like, you know, sorry the second half of the videos were a bit kind of sporadic. I was just so caught up in everything that I didn't really get the chance to like properly vlog, and I wanted to like experience the expo in itself. So I'm gonna finish this little video just kind of talking about everything and talking about a little topic that I want to address, right? I'm Basically, I've been seeing so much on people going on these like rants, or like call-outs and stuff like that on, "Ooh, the fitness industry is a load of bullshit," and all this. And it's just like, it's giving me an earache just listening to people constantly whine and complain and moan about something. And it's like, what I ask these people to do is, if you want to get your point across, Can you not do it in a less aggressive way? Can you not do it in a more constructive way that people will actually benefit from? You know, if you're actually gonna make a valid point, just, you know, and you have reason behind it, say it nicely, you know. There's no need to get angry unless you're just trying to— you're attention-seeking or something like that. But personally, I think the fitness industry is a amazing. I, I love it. I love the fitness industry. Everyone that I've met in the fitness industry are some of the most outgoing, positive, and friendly people I've met in my entire life, bar none. And there is so many people doing these amazing things, and I don't know why it is, but maybe it's because everyone exercises so often, so they're in a good mood, or everyone's so confident and outgoing because, you know, they put their life on social media, which takes balls. I don't know what it is, but I met the most amazing people over the weekend. And I'm also going through just right now, I'm just sitting at the balcony, I'm going through, you know, tagged photos of me on Instagram and stuff like that. And the people that came to the expo to meet me and others, they're just like, they're the best kind of people because they're looking to improve their life. They're looking to make these self-improvements. And just some people are just saying the nicest things ever. So I'm literally trying to respond to everyone right now. So That is literally just how I wanted to finish this video. Just saying like, you know, try be a little bit more constructive because I'm telling you, that weekend I just had was life-changing. It was amazing, honestly. And I can't thank the people that made it possible enough, you know. Everyone from Alpha Elite to my pro team, just, and everyone who came up to the stand. I really thank you, you know. It was amazing, and I'm gonna keep putting out content, keep coming out, coming out with content that's gonna benefit people, help improve people's lives, because you know my mission, my motto, whatever, is always to help and positively affect as many people on planet Earth as possible. So, so much more to come. I am more motivated than ever to just make a dent on this industry because I swear to God I love it. So I'm gonna finish things up here. I'm I am like so tired.
I feel like I just did a 10-day bender in Magaluf right now.
I swear to God, in a good way though. So I'm gonna finish things up here. Thank you so much for watching. Already made some very cool plans for this channel in the next couple months. I'm just, I'm so excited. And just after that weekend, more motivated than ever. I'm going on. Thank you so much for watching. I'm outta here. Keep it real. Love you.
