They state that, generally, they would not recommend college unless the son is pursuing a traditional professional career such as medicine or law. For a son who wishes to start his own business, the speaker would instead direct him toward entrepreneurial resources and offer a financial seed fund of about $50,000 to launch the venture.

Like, would you tell your son to go to college or no? No. So it was a big waste of time for me. If he wants to be something like, you know, doctor, lawyer, whatever, I would allow him to go. I'd say crack on. But if he wants to start a business and work for himself, I would actually just point him in the way of some resources to learn about it, and I would give him like maybe 50 grand, and I'd say go start a business.
