MRP Q & A with Anna-Lisa - Personal affirmations [Sept 27, 2024]

Group Q&A/coaching session led by Annalisa (Living Light Metabolic Coach) where participants (Denise, Tony, Joanne, Sangita, Jennifer, Ed, Elizabeth, others) share weekly wins (meal prepping, pounds lost, stabilized health) and ask program questions. Key practical topics: meal prep strategies, handling loading days and hunger (spray dosing and free veggies), timing of release vs maintenance phases (commonly six-week release + four-week maintenance), supplements/tests (FIT food inflammation test, DNA), and crafting personal affirmations using "I am / I see / I feel" plus tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique). Tone is supportive, peer-driven, and instructional.

Welcome, everyone. We'll just wait a few minutes as everybody's joining in. Start thinking about what you are most proud of that you accomplished this week.
There I am.
Hey, tony. Good to see you. Hi, anna.
How are you?
I'm good, thank you.
Good.
Hi, denise.
Hello.
Just wait a couple of minutes. Just at the top of the hour.
I'm not feeling good.
Oh, I'm sorry.
I'm gonna shut off my audio so you guys don't hear me sniffing.
Oh, that's fine for now. Hey, Joanne. Oh, everybody's joining in now, so we'll just wait a couple of minutes. Start thinking about what you're most proud of this past week in accomplishing.
Hello.
We'll get started. Can you guys hear the music?
No.
No. See, if I have to do this, I have the share sound on. Can you hear the music now?
Yes.
All right, why don't we get started with. As a. Each of the people are coming in. We're going to be talking about first the what you're most proud of and accomplishing in this past week. I'm going to some music. So let's start with Tony. How's your week been going?
Awesome.
Yeah?
Yeah. It's my round two on the release, and I'm down as of today. I started the release on Tuesday and I'm down, oh, 4.6 pounds, I think it was.
Yeah. Oh, that's so good. And that's on your second round. That's awesome.
Yep. I'm a happy camper.
Oh, good. And just keep going. Stay focused on, you know, the goals that you've set and doing what you know to do.
Should I ask a question now or later?
Well, let's go through everyone, and then I'll open the floor for questions, and then we'll go in. We're going to do some personal affirmations today.
Okay.
Becca, can you unmute? And welcome. And it just. We're focusing on what are you most proud of accomplishing in the last week. I don't know if she may be at work. If you're able to unmute, great. If not, then we'll move to. Denise, I know you're sniffling, but what would you say would be your most proudest accomplishment this past week?
That I did so much.
Food prep.
That the week's been really easy. I just grab a container, I put all. I mixed vegetables. But I have one thing that's just, you know, vegetables accounts and the three vegetables separate and. And all the meat. And so it's just been no argument. No, I'M going to go out with my husband or something. You know, he takes care of himself because he knows I've got all my stuff and I'm just going to have it. He's welcome to any of what he wants, but, you know, so that's really helped a lot.
Oh, awesome. Congratulations. It's always easier when you have everything organized and ready to go.
Yep.
Makes a difference. And it also helps with decision fatigue because often when we go off plan is when we've already made a ton of decisions throughout the day, and then it comes to dinner time and we don't have any ability to make decisions, so we fall off. So that's key in doing the meal prep. Way to go. Diana, if you can unmute, what would be your win for the week? Okay. We'll come back if you might be at work or doing something. Joanne, what would be your win for the week? How you doing, girl?
I am on release second round now. I did have a few stressors in my life, but I'm still down £16 from the. So I'm £46 down now, which is nice. It's a little bit slower than the first round because of my little hiccups, but I'm just sticking with it.
Yeah. Yeah. It's not easy going through stress and the situations that you went through, and so congratulations, though, you know, you just keep doing what you're doing. That just helps your stress levels as well, because when you're not taking inflammatory foods, which cause stress in our body, even though you're having external stresses, you're eliminating the internal stressors so you're able to handle things better. That's awesome.
Right?
I have one question, because I feel like I. I'm not as zoned in as I was first time. Can I extend my release space?
It's not recommended to do it, especially since this is your second round. Although, given your situation, I'm not sure. Maybe we can talk offline just how things went.
Yeah.
At the beginning and just see because. Did you go off plan at all when you were going through the.
Oh, yeah, I did, but not. Not, like, bad like I'm talking. I might have had tequila at night. I might have.
Yes. Because you're in the second round, I'd highly just recommend that you stick to the plan, do your maintenance, and actually, it's going to be for you after the second round, we usually recommend doing six to eight weeks of the maintenance phase before you go back into the release phase again. It's just we need to bring back the fat into our diet and if we go out of the. If we go back into the release phase too quick, can actually gain weight because it's. The body perceives it as a stressor.
Okay, no problem. I, I tend to still lose weight on maintenance because it's healthier lifestyle anyway.
Yes, yes, you did actually. You like a star. You did great. Next on the list would be Sangita. How are you doing?
Hi.
Good.
Thanks. How are you guys?
Good.
And so what would be your win for the week?
My win for the week. I've got back into yoga and Pilates. So I'm really happy I was able to go and do that this week and get my sunshine in the morning that Deepa's been saying I need to get. So yes, I've been doing that every morning. So thank you. Can I ask for the clarification? You said when do you gain weight again? When you were talking.
So what happens if you. So normally we do a six week release phase and a four week maintenance phase. If we try to say a shortcut, the maintenance phase and only do two weeks and try to get back into the release phase, that's. That can backfire and we end up putting on weight. Similarly, if you're doing a first round, a second round and then you're planning on a third round, the extension of maintenance phase for the second round, we usually recommend a little bit longer before you go back into the release phase because we don't, we don't want to put the weight back on.
Right.
So we have to. There's, there's science research that's done behind this program that ensures that we're not going to do that.
Thank you for the clarity. It's just because I'm at that stage. So that's why I was asking.
Thank you. You're welcome. Who else do we have? I have Nikki. How has your week been? Some people are at work and I.
Think she said she's prepping for camping.
Sorry, I am on my hands. I got sticky hands. So for prepping for is fine. Sorry. I find that prepping is like the savior of my week. Save so much time as a. A mom of. Of two kids and trying to coordinate sports on weekends and not really having time to cook in the evenings. This is just. The food prep is awesome. So I guess I can count that as a win.
Awesome. Way to go, girl. And that's a testament to everyone else who's getting started. All of these people, many of these people that have are kind of. What would you call the people who've been through the program of doing it, have found that meal prepping for them has been the experience that helps them get success. So if you can do some, or even just having frozen fruit or frozen veggies in the pinch, when you need to, just take some out and warm them up and be able to make a meal quickly, those are options that you can do.
Oh, I have one question for you, Annalisa.
Yes, Sure.
I have a two pounds of butternut squash that's already cubed up.
What should I do with it if.
I'm not going to make a soup? Just maybe do one of your sheet pans like you taught us.
Yeah, you could. Absolutely.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Which phase are you in?
I am in. I'm done.
I'm on.
Yeah. So you can use oil. So you can just put it in and then add some spices. My mom is a great cook. I am not, but my mom teaches me. But what we. With the squash, what she often does before she puts it on the sheet pan, she'll add a bunch of oil and some cinnamon and mix it all up and then pour it out onto the tray. Or if there's other herbs or other things that you like, you can always just mix it up. She usually puts it in a bowl and mixes everything together so it all gets covered before you put it onto the pan.
Thank you. I always made soup, so I figured I'll try your sheet pan trick.
Thanks.
Awesome.
Great.
Thank you.
Sage and rosemary are really, really excellent with butternut squash.
Oh, thank you, Jennifer. See, there's lots of people who are good cooks.
I know.
Joanne is. So Saj. Hi, it's Sage. Hi. It's. I'm actually starting tomorrow, so it's my load phase tomorrow.
So after this call, I'm going to.
Get groceries and start to organize everything for Saturday and Sunday. Awesome.
Yeah.
Because I thought I would join today.
Awesome. Great. Well, just start early. I. I wake up early, so.
Yeah.
Eat frequently.
Okay.
If you can have a box of nuts or.
Okay.
Something that is higher in fat, those help you get the calories quicker or easier so you don't feel as full. Anybody else have tips for getting through the loading days?
Yeah, I'm a little nervous, but yeah, yeah, that's okay.
It's. It's the hardest part of the program. That's what I heard.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But just keep going. Massage, walk, do things. If you find you have digestive issues, you can always just do 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 8 ounces of water.
Okay.
Eating especially your Bigger meals that will help to get the stomach digestive juices going.
Okay.
And so you'll be able to better digest that always. But yeah. Loading is hard.
Thank you.
That's helpful.
How many people would say loading is hard? Put up your hand. Loading is hard. Yep. Look, you got everybody.
So vote. Yeah.
Nice to meet everyone, but it's also necessary. I think that's one I read that. Yeah. Makes a big difference in going through.
Let me just add.
Jen. Let's just see who else we have on the list. Jennifer, do you want to go? What's your biggest win for the week?
Bye. Biggest win for the week. I, you know, I should really prepare better.
Okay.
So I think so, like, meal prepping is. Is very important and definitely I think I need to do that more because, like, I work late sometimes and then, like, I'll miss my window and that doesn't feel good. And it just literally throws everything off. So. Biggest win. I'm gonna say. I got so many compliments at work on Wednesday. I have a good friend who said that she can see the loss in my face. It's literally not even been a full two weeks yet. I'm down like £13. That feels pretty amazing. So, yeah, that is. That's pretty good. And I have to say, it's very motivating. It's very, very motivating.
Awesome. Congratulations. That's exciting. And that's early. Most people, it's week three where they get. People will be saying, wow, you look amazing. Your skin looks good, your way. So you're. You're ahead of target. So way to go, Jennifer. That's awesome. Congratulations. That's the way I like it to be. And Ed, we haven't seen you in ages. How are you?
Did you just say Ed?
Yeah.
Well, I'm trying to get back in the mind space to take, you know, do the program, do my third round. No, I don't think I recognize anyone on the call. So everyone's already been successful and moved on, and here I am coming back for more. But I. You asked that the big win for the week is, I'll say, my big win for the last 18 months. I just got had a doctor's appointment and my kidneys have finally stabilized so I can actually focus on getting back on a routine again.
Oh, I'm so excited for you. That is amazing. Oh, my gosh, that's so good. I know that was a big concern and yes, all new people, but we still have people who come back who did the program when you did, and that's to all of you. I mean, your second round, your third rounds, if you decide later on you, you know, you go on a trip and you need to lose a little bit. You're not sure how to do that. Just come back and we're always going to be here to support you as you go through. But congratulations. That is so exciting.
You said earlier, don't start the second round too soon. I did that. I don't know if you remember, but I, I did. I think I did the four weeks maintenance, barely. And then I jumped right back into phase two and I didn't. Wasn't as successful on phase two, but I certainly didn't. Didn't get the maintenance phase after phase two because all these other things were going on.
Yes, correct.
I lost about 35 pounds combined and I think I'm still down about net. Net 25 or so. 20 to 25. So.
Awesome.
I feel pretty good considering everything that's gone on in the background. But that's, that's the short version. We can talk some other time. But okay. Anyway, awesome.
Congratulations.
Hello to everyone.
Yeah. And Elizabeth, you just joined. How are you? Oh, you're on mute.
Just came back from an appointment, so. And I know your husband's situated. Yeah, he's getting some coffee.
Okay.
A good coffee. Right.
What would you say your win is for the week?
Mine? Well, I mean, I can fit into.
Things.
That I, you know, like from 10 years ago, so. So it's really not so much the numbers on the scale, but it's, you know, because we gaining muscle. Oh, okay. He's gaining muscles because we are both doing workouts.
Yay.
You know, strength training. So.
So Reginald Reginal's in the release phase. So are you doing both doing strength training in the release phase? I know you're not.
Yeah, oh, yeah, yeah, we are. I'm doing second round on my own.
Both in the release phase.
Yes.
Okay.
So we do know about halfway through.
You know, like, so we usually don't recommend doing strength training during the release phase because that puts your body in fight or flight. It can stall your weight loss. Normally we would recommend doing more walking, maybe stretching or if you do yoga, those kinds of things.
It's not stressful.
Okay.
You know, I mean like half an hour and it's not like heavy aerobic. It's. It really is muscle.
Okay.
Building and just all around for maintenance phase.
But that's okay. You guys can get.
It works. It works. Okay. So he's, he's just saying, well, you know, on the scale he's down £9.
So excellent. Congratulations. That's exciting.
Yeah.
And I sent you the plateau information in your chat. Okay, so there's a set of questions. Just go through those. And then the other part at the bottom is just what to do if he's the same weight for three days.
Yeah. Okay, great.
Tony, you had a question at the beginning and I else to talk. So go ahead.
I'll just get to the point. I want to put my wi. My eating window from 12 o' clock to 6pm that's what I did the first time around. Yep. Is that okay to do? Because I eating like 10 o' clock this morning, like I ate this chicken soup I made. It was like I didn't feel like eating it, but I ate it. It's too early for me. So it's. That means it's going to be a six hour window, not an eight hour window. That's okay.
Yep.
Okay. And one more.
As long as there's about five hours between meals.
Okay.
The eight hour window. As long as there's five hours between meals, you're good.
Okay. And one more. Shoot. I just forgot it. Oh yeah. I don't know why. These last couple of days I was like famished. Famished. Couldn't wait to eat. But I hung in there. But I don't know what, what's, what went wrong. The only thing I can come up with is I didn't eat extra, extra vegetables. I don't know.
What do you think the combination. So you were doing the 10 to 6. So there's a long in between. So as you shift to the 12 to 6, that will likely help with that hunger. If you are experiencing additional hunger, you can up the spray and do six sprays at the three times.
Oh, okay.
And then go back to the five sprays.
Okay.
But hunger, usually you have to pay attention. Is it physical or emotional? And sometimes also thirsty. How much water are you drinking?
I'm trying to get like 90 ounces in. But at that point, you know, when it was getting really hungry, I didn't have all the water in either. So I didn't know. But I was like biting at the bit. But I hung in there. I didn't give in, you know.
So you can also free veggies.
Right.
If you, if you have some cucumbers or celery that's available, you can munch on those. If it's.
What about a pickle? Can I have a pickle?
Well, pickles are hard. Yes, you can have them because they're cucumbers. But you have to make sure they're ingredients, no sugar.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right. Okay.
We don't recommend pickles because most people, there's so many options. And if you say you can have pickles, then there's so many that have sugar in them.
Yeah.
That someone picks that and it delays their weight loss. We don't want that to happen. So there's. So you just read the ingredients and make sure.
Okay.
Pickles are cucumbers.
Yeah, I know. Okay. Thank you. That was good.
Okay. And, Tony, I wanted to mention I noticed I was more hungry the days I didn't get quality sleep the night before. Oh, there's something about your g. G is released more if you don't get quality sleep.
Yep.
Oh, no, I'm okay with my sleep. You know, I get enough. Yeah. But thank you.
And she gets sunlight. She goes to the beach. I see those pictures.
Okay. Thank you.
You're welcome.
Awesome.
So today I just wanted to talk a little bit about personal affirmations, and then we'll get to more questions. I know some people are at different stages of the program, as you've seen. If you're new with us today. Some people are just getting started. Some people aren't second round. And Ed's back. He was qu almost 18 months ago. So different people at different levels. So one of the things that really is important is your mindset. And I know Deepa did some work with you guys on that with focusing on. Focusing on identity. Who are you in this process? Because we. We see ourselves as a certain way, and our goal is to shift to where we want to be and who we want to see. We want to see ourselves as. And affirmations are really the conversations we have with ourselves, and sometimes they can be our greatest allies because we often will sometimes, I guess, is kind of being your best friend. And sometimes you don't speak to your best.
You.
You speak to your best friend differently than you speak to yourself. So you can be your harshest critic of your own self, of things that you do. And I see that sometimes in the journals where people will make comments, you know, and I don't. We often already know that we're making errors or doing things. So. And most of us, because 80% of what we hear take in from the media is negative, we tend to lean towards that negativity. And what I really want to focus on is changing that message, changing what we're telling ourselves, rather than focusing on the lack and speaking unkindly to ourselves. Positive affirmations are really our secret weapon to transform our inner dialogue. It really helps us to train our minds to speak to ourselves with really love and kindness and purpose and empowerment. And think of yourself as your best friend. You know, how would you treat your best friend? I'm going to share a Google Doc. It will have in it a blank transformation. Let me know if you can't access it. And what I want to do is share some thoughts around building out our affirmations. So what we're going to do is identify some positive qualities and achievements that you've had. If you have a pen and paper and you can write down some of these things, we're going to think about the qualities that make us unique and strong. These could be personal traits. These could be skills or talents that you have. What are your strengths? And I'll just share.
Whoops.
There are very a bunch of different ones that you can incorporate, particularly as you're building out your personal affirmation for the program. Let me just share my screen. So think about things like maybe it's from a skills standpoint. Maybe it's your nutritional knowledge that you have. Maybe it's your exercise planning, you know, how to put things together to have an effective workout routine. Maybe you're great at time management. I wish I was more. I'm working on things to make that happen. But that's not my strength. That's my husband's strength. Cooking skills. You know, some of us have great cooking skills. Maybe it's goal setting is something that you're great at. Maybe it's problem solving or could be some talents that you have. Maybe it's your creativity. What are those strengths that you have? And maybe also think about what qualities do others admire in you? What have people told you that you're really good at? Maybe it's your leadership skills. You can get into a situation, take over and lead everybody so everybody will accomplish. Inspiring, motivating others, making others feel great, having empathy. You know, people come to you and talk to you and open up to you.
Yeah.
Or I can do empathy, communication. Maybe communication is your strength or patience or flexibility. Maybe it's endurance, being able to Tony. Your endurance. Being able to do your second round and stay positive and, you know, thinking about where you came from and where you are now. Right. Determination to accomplish something. Maybe it's your personal qualities. Could be around curiosity. You're always curious, you're learning, you're growing, you're reading, you want to, you know, have more knowledge. Or maybe it's compassion, your kindness Your understanding of others. So just write a few things down that kind of puts you in that space of what are the key attributes that you have as far as your strengths are concerned. And then as we move forward, we're going to talk about recognizing your achievements. So think about in the past, what things have you accomplished, big or small? They can be personal, they can be professional. They could be related to your health and wellness journey. What are some of your most proudest moments? We talked early in the conversation here about what are we proud of? Because often we don't celebrate our wins. And dopamine is one of the key things. It's our reward hormone. And when we celebrate even the smallest win in the day, instead of berating ourselves, then we feel better about ourselves, we feel happier, and then we experience more joy. Think about what goals you've accomplished, what challenges you've overcome in your life, and just write down a couple of things that kind of are important to you of what you've accomplished. So you should have a few strengths proud of and a few achievements that you're proud of. And that will help us as we build out our positive affirmations. And positive affirmations. Often when we're in a situation where we're talking to ourself negatively, we can use the positive affirmations to bring us out of that situation. I know sometimes, depending on the way our brain works, we can get stuck on, I didn't do that, I didn't do that, I didn't do that. And then we want to shift out of that into repeating our positive affirmation. And so that's what we're going to do today, is craft a set of positive affirmations. And I have a few here that will help us in understanding. But when we're crafting a positive affirmation, what I have found is we need to use I am, I see and I feel when we use those terms, we are taking emotion. We're seeing a picture and a vision of what we're trying to accomplish. We are feeling how it feels when that positive affirmation takes place. And when we have those three things. I am in the present tense. So even though it's a future thought of what we want to accomplish, accomplish, the I am brings it into the present as if we have already accomplished it. I see helps us to be in the moment, and I feel with is the emotion. As Jim says, when you tie emotion to the memory, we then solidify it in our brain and we have a better opportunity. We have a better opportunity to accomplish what we put forth as a future accomplishment. So here are some examples of I picked different areas. For example, if one of our goals that we want to accomplish is to be so, you know, X pounds lighter by a certain date, then focus also on saying I see a healthier, more vibrant version of myself. I feel proud of my accomplishment. Right. I am. I see. I feel so when we create positive affirmations, we want to create the ones that speak to us and then be able to put those up where we can see them. Whether it's on a mirror in the morning, we're brushing our teeth, we're saying that particular positive affirmation. Other ones could be I am full of energy and vitality. Again, many of you in the root cause assessment form, when you filled out that you put in this is what I want. So now I want to take those words that you had there and put them into action to a vision for what you want to accomplish. Here's another one. I'm free from pain and discomfort. I see myself moving with ease and grace. I feel comfortable and at peace in my body. Another moment might be I am cultivating a positive and resilient mindset. I see challenges as opportunities for growth and I feel confident and empowered. Maybe it's I am committed to my long term health. You know Ed, as you go through the program, you're now coming back. Your long term health is important to you. You focus on what is it that you're trying to accomplish. I see myself living a long, healthy and fulfilling life. And tying these positive affirmations to the things you're doing daily helps you accomplish the goal long term. I'm prioritizing self care and relaxation. I see myself taking time to rest and rejuvenate. Often we have to give ourselves permission. I know from my perspective, I've had 20 years of looking after elderly. I have three kids as well. And for the longest time with not being diagnosed with Hashimoto's for 10 years, I felt like I was walking through mud. We had three kids. I had a kid that came to live with us who had lots of anxiety issues. She stayed with us. She was supposed to come for a week and stayed for a year. And then I had a mother in law with dementia. So often I couldn't say no. I couldn't do the self care I needed to do. But I had to get to the point where I could say that and it's my turn. I need to have the prioritized self care and I need to be able to go and have a sauna when I want to have a sauna. Right. Prioritize those things that are important to us. So writing down some of the things that, you know, pick, you know, one or two of these things that you will put somewhere that will allow you to. In the moments of distress when you're con. You know, you're not. You're. You're in that space. You know, maybe when you're hungry, Tony, you've got something. This is what I'm doing. You know, I'm nourishing my body with wholesome, nutritious foods. I see myself making healthy choices. I feel satisfied and energized. Right in that process. There's also something. Often we can go through emotional trauma at a certain weight. And when we're trying to get past that weight, we can experience. Re. Experience the emotional trauma we experienced at that weight. And so there's something called the crush technique that we have used in our program. It helps to. I don't know if you've ever heard of the term emotional freedom technique. So you can use your positive affirmations and use the emotional freedom technique to be able to allow the body to move into more a positive state. And I'm just going to find the link for the. Forgot to get the link for that. But the emotional freedom technique. There is a video Alice, posted in.
Our.
Facebook group the Emotional Freedom Technique. Just find that crush technique. I'll just post the link for this. Share. And this is something as you build out your. As you build out your personal affirmations saying the. Just this sor. I'm trying to do two things at once.
Yeah.
As you're building out your positive affirmations, you can use the emotional freedom technique. It's a tapping process. And just saying your I ams as you're going through the process, usually you'll start on your head, then your eyes, then you're here, then you're here, and then under your arms. There's a set process that's explained in the crush technique. You can use those positive affirmations to help you move through whether it's a hunger, a plateau, or even if it's related to an emotional trauma that you experienced in the past. So any questions about making personal affirmations and then we'll get into any questions about the program getting started. If you're depending on where you're at, I can help you with any of that.
I have a question.
Okay.
So like when it comes to the quantities of the fruit and. Or meat, when. How strict are you with stain. Like if you have, like I have a bunch of little leftovers. So would one meal be okay if it was 4 ounces of a combination of some meats? Yes. And. Or the fruits, because, like the berries come in 6oz packages here. So I'm always.
So if you. For the berries, if you do 4 ounces and 4 ounces and then you have 2 and 2, you can put those together so you still have 4 ounces for the next day, it's best to stay with the 4 ounces. We find sometimes if you go off of the 4 ounces, you'll either feel hungry if you're eating less. You can combine proteins as well. I have a lot of clients who will do egg whites and chicken, or they'll do chicken and pork and mix it together or, you know, different things like that. So you ought. You can mix.
Oh, that's great to know. That's great to know. Thank you.
You're welcome. Sometimes it's just permission to be able to do it right. Anyone else with questions for today?
Annalisa, what did you say earlier about changing the spray to 6 and then resuming to 5 when there was pretty extreme hunger and you've tried all the other tricks. I missed it. I'm sorry.
Yes. So what you can do if you are feeling hungry and you know it's a physical hunger versus emotional, you can increase your spray to six sprays three times a day for two days. Okay, perfect.
Thank you so much.
You're welcome.
Thank you for that clarification. Yeah, yeah. And then resume. Yes, yes, yes.
Yeah, don't keep doing six.
No.
Okay.
Okay. But then normal number for during release phase is three sprays a day. Right?
Oh, three sprays a day. Sorry. No, no. Three sprays a day.
Yeah. Okay.
Five sprays at each spray.
Right, Right. Okay.
Yeah.
We just if for someone reason if it's a physical hunger, often too, as Tony, you know, through the second round, we often feel. Can feel a little more hungry in the process. And again, because you've done the first round, you know what to do. Keep adding in free veggies. Free veggies are so important for liver detoxification. The greens, the cruciferous, all of that, that's in the free veggies. Those help and support our liver. As we're going through the program.
I have a question.
Yep, go ahead.
What is the recommended time frame? I've sort of in my head already committed to doing the program twice. And I was thinking, because this is going to. I'll finish probably around mid to late November. I thought, well, maybe I'll take the holidays off and then start again in January.
Yep.
Because is that too soon or.
No, that would be great. If you finish November and you don't start again till January, that will give you four weeks on top of the four weeks of maintenance, correct?
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Yeah. So that would be eight weeks in total before you start your third round. Yeah, yeah, seven. Yeah, that would be fine.
Second round. Second round. This is still just my first.
Okay. Actually, so with your first round, as soon as you finish your four weeks maintenance, you can move into the second round. So even if you extend the maintenance, you can go into your second round anytime after that. It's more important if you're going into a third round, you want to extend the maintenance a little bit before you move into the third round.
Okay.
Does that answer your question?
Sure.
Yeah. Okay, perfect. Sangeeta, do you have a question?
Yes, I do.
I was just wondering, how do you know if you need to do another round? Like, how do I know? So, I mean, I. I only like. And we talked about this because I'm vegetarian. Like, I lost about 15 pounds throughout the whole time frame, which you said is probably normal for vegetarians, but I probably want another like five or so. Like, can I still lose that on the maintenance phase because I'm still in maintenance or.
Yes, yeah, yep, absolutely. It is possible. You can lose that on maintenance. You'll want to increase your exercise that you're doing. But it sounds like you're already doing that.
You've getting back into it. Yes.
So, awesome. Great. And so that will help with the process of just getting the body to become. Become more muscle. Like, when we have more muscle, we burn more. So by doing exercise and increasing muscle, that will help with the metabolic rate. That also helps to burn calories. Right. In your process.
Sleep.
Yeah, yeah.
So as you go through, if you get to the end of your maintenance phase, so that would be four weeks and. And you decide, I still have five more pounds to do. You could do loading.
I could do what?
You could do the loading again. Oh, no, you may have to do a week or two and £5 will be gone. Oh. And then you go back into maintenance. So you can do. And you can do your second round right after you finish your first round. And then that's there. And then what I always recommend for people is every year do another release phase. Like do. Because the program is designed for, though for healing. And weight loss is a side benefit. You can do the program even though you don't have to lose weight as a just a way to reset. Sachin and Deepa just did that and what he saw on his hrv, his HRV shot up. His sleep was better. It is just a resetting of the body. You do it a little bit differently. You're not going to do the four, four, four. There's a recommendation. It's for those that don't need to lose weight. You'll adjust how you do the program a little bit but essentially at least once a year just do the program and you only need to do it for two weeks and it just resets the body and it just process because you have to think about how long it's taken for our body to get to the state that we're in where we decide that we're going to do something. And so doing the six weeks gets us part of the way there.
Right.
But we still have stuff to heal and restore. Even though our weight might be at the right weight, there's still the body needs that restoration. So I always recommend just do it every year. Just decide when you're going to do it. And then the other that we recommend for stem cell production. Right. Repair and all that is doing fasts. I don't know if you've ever heard of. There's a five day fast with food. Dr. Valter Longo put that together. You can do it either with his program. He has like a kit that you can get and you just do it for five days. It's fasting but it's not a water fast because sometimes that's hard for people to do that. Even just practicing after you've finished maintenance and moving into lifestyle, practicing a 24 hour fast. You eat dinner on Sunday for example. Yeah. And then you don't eat till Monday dinner. That's a 24 hour fast. You're still having a meal each day but you're not eating for 24 hours. That helps to clean up a lot of debris and stuff in our body. Because we're not eating. The body will just get rid of stuff and detox. So those are next step things. Those are not for people who are in just getting ready for the release phase.
Right? Course.
Yeah. Because I'm at the end stage. Yeah. So that's what I was wondering like so with the longevity program that I went came into, how does that work then? Or should I talk to Deepa about that offline?
Like how does, what do you mean with how does that work?
So yeah, like so from a payment program does that include, like, do we get lifelong. Like, I could still join these calls?
Yes.
Have the Facebook group even if that 10 weeks is done?
Yes.
Oh, okay. But then when I. If I want to restart, how does that work? That I pay for another restart with the release or the only thing.
So depending on your spray, if you still have some spray left, if you only have a week to do, you might be able to finish with that.
Okay.
Might be able to just continue and use up the rest of your spray. If you spray. Oh, Ed, did you want to answer?
And mushrooms. You're gonna run out of mushrooms.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah.
That's what I was wondering. So I haven't really noticed what the mushrooms have done for me, to be honest, because I've taken the capsules, not the tea or coffee.
Yeah.
So I don't know, like, is that a mandatory part of the program or.
Not necessarily. It's just something we include for. Especially if someone is having difficulty with sleep or with adrenal. I don't. I don't. I didn't do your root cause assessment and the call.
Right.
So I don't know if it came out as a stressed state. What was your thought?
Yeah, I'm in stress state, but that's because.
Are you less stressed now?
No.
But you're looking.
My aura ring like. No, my lifestyle is not. So I. I think that's a big problem for my. My situation. So I'm working on it.
Good.
Not there yet, but my aura ring like, I have a ring.
Mushrooms. Is that double mushrooms?
There you go.
The mushrooms.
And then still go to bed at.
1 or 2 in the morning, which counteracts everything, though.
Yes, it does.
So.
But you know the answer. You know the answer.
Thank you.
I do know the answer, and I've got the affirmations, and I. I need to just stick to it. So.
Yeah.
Thank you.
Thank you.
And you don't have to, you know, for sleep, you don't have to try to say, oh, my God, I go to bed at 1 or 2. I got to go to bed at 11. Now just do 15 minutes.
I'm preparing. That's what I'm trying to do. So my. My goal has been by midnight. That's what I try.
Yeah. And think about prepping. So often it's the sleep routine. So what are the things you're trying to do before you go to bed? Start writing those things down.
Right.
Things. Yeah. Good. And then just ties. When could I do those things?
Yeah.
Another time or let them go?
Well, yeah.
Don't Start my computer at 11 o' clock at night. So that was my issue. So.
Yeah, because then you get into it and by one o' clock your cortisol is up here and then you can't go to sleep. It's the same thing with normally around 10, 10:30, we get that, oh, I feel so tired, I need to go to bed. Like, you know, and then we bypass it and then we're up for two hours. We can't go to bed because cortisol rises. It's two hours before we can go to sleep to clear it.
Yeah, totally.
That's paying attention to our body when it tends the message. And maybe it's going to bed early and getting up early and doing the things you were doing at night in the morning.
My problem is my social and my work life is very much in the evening. That's my challenge. I'm trying to balance it all.
Yeah.
So, I mean, I don't want to hijack everything, but the last question I.
Have is, you know what, your conversation, your conversation gonna help somebody else.
Oh, thank you. Thank you. My, my question is because of my lifestyle, like both work and personal, there's so much where I have to go out and eat. And so I'm challenged. Like, I'm really trying hard, you know, in terms of doing the whole 4, 4, 4, and like protein and vegetables, but there's a lot of, a lot of. For vegetarians, carbs. So there's pizza, the fries, everything everywhere I go. And is there cheat days allowed or is there anything like. This week was nuts. I was out every night for work because I was moderating, I was presenting, and all there was was pizza, pasta, bruschetta, like all that stuff. And I was like, oh, my God. And I can't eat beforehand because I'm going straight into that.
Provided to you are the meals provided?
It's all part of the. Yeah, like, like if we're doing a special meeting or annual planning, it's all part of that. So even though I try and eat before, like, if I'm at home, then I'll eat before, not eat out. But normally it's after the office.
So who orders the meals?
Oh, yeah. So I even asked for protein in that. Some of the caterers don't even have it. There's nothing there for me other than salad.
Which caterers can you do? You do the ordering or no?
Sometimes no.
It's like, like the last this week was at restaurants and that. So I'm, I've been trying to do that, like There's a lot during this program trying to get the tofu and the salad and whatever. But it's been hard. Like. Like at the restaurant. We were at the Italian restaurant Tuesday night. It was all like, I got a salad.
Yeah.
And then I tried to do portion control because there was goat cheese and whatever in it. And then you have to hold certain things. I just wondered if there was any cheat days because I. I have to tell you, even after I've done, like, whatever this. I'm close to the end of the program, the 10 weeks I am still craving all my pizza and fries and everything. Like, that has not subsided the sugar.
Maybe there's an underlying, you know, other things that are going on. Did you do the test?
Did I do the. What test?
Oh, you did the longevity program.
Longevity.
So it could be. There is a food sensitivity test that has a bunch of. That may uncover why you're still having cravings. I know. For me, I did the food sensitivity test and I have Candida and Candida is. Is definitely sugar. Like, you won't crave carbs and sugar. And I find sometimes I can't. I'm like, no, no, no. So that can be a contributor, which I've had it. I've had a naturopath in like my 30s who told me. And then I did my DNA testing and I have a propensity for it. So I have consistently black cumin seed and a bunch of things just to help keep my body flushing it out. We all have it. We just can grow out of control. And what we want is keep it in control. I wonder if that's what it is.
Yeah.
Talk to Deep.
Happened because I'm in menopause. Like, I'm wondering if that's activated something because it's only since menopause that I've had the time. Cravings for sugar and soft.
Talk to Deepa and see if there's any other symptoms or anything that might indicate. Okay. Because that's personal. And I would talk to her and just see. And maybe it is doing the food sensitivity test. Maybe there's something that.
Good idea.
Pausing that and then the research helps you make changes. Right.
Okay. Yeah, True.
Thank you.
I would highly recommend the FIT test, the food inflammation test. I got it. Because that's how I found out that I'm gluten and wheat.
Yeah, me too.
Yeah.
Okay.
I mean, yeah, I'm still having cravings. Like, is this program supposed to subside the cravings then? Is that what this is supposed to.
Yeah.
Oh, wow.
Body. Because you often we have the cravings because we're in insulin resistance. So when we're in insulin resistance, we can't. And we put on weight. We can't access the calories on our body. Right. The calories are just. That's energy stored. It's fat. But what happens is the liver gets filled up with fat. It has nowhere to put it. So now it starts putting it on our body. And so what happens is you need to eat often because your body needs the food to be able to function because it can't access the calories in our body. And what we've done, the program is designed to allow us to become more metabolically flexible, is to allow our body to burn our own fat when we need it. And so that process of changing to metabolic, so you've. You've lost weight. We know that. We know that your. Your body has been able to access the fat for calories. So now there's something else. We need to look a little deeper and try to find what is the next thing that could be contributing to the symptoms you're having.
Amazing.
Thank you.
I learned so much. That was so good.
Longevity program includes the DNA test.
Yeah. Yes, Correct. Includes the DNA. And. But you can purchase it separately.
Right.
If you're doing a second round, there is a link. Let me just get that link for you. There is. I'll post both.
Yeah, that's what I did. I got the fit and the learned and the DNA.
Yeah. Makes a big difference.
I mean, of the two, I would highly recommend fit.
Yeah.
Okay.
The DNA is just about potential, but the fit test shows you exactly what you. What foods are causing inflammation right now.
Oh, okay. Yeah. And. And my is ginger. Oh, what else, Elizabeth, what else do you add? Gluten. Do you remember what your top was?
Mainly. It was mainly gluten. And then corn, which is no big deal. And egg whites.
Yeah, me too.
Egg whites.
And you can't buy egg yolks.
Well, I mean, what. I still use them. So I make an. An omelette with. For my husband with egg whites and one. And then I. I eat the egg yolks.
Yeah.
Excellent.
That's what Sachin said to me. Give your husband the egg whites. You eat the egg yolks. Ed, you had a comment?
Yeah, I was going to say a big one is lactose. And you mentioned Candida. So that's sugar.
Yep, that's right.
Okay, all those thoughts.
So the fit test shows. Anything shows Candida. If you have.
Oh, it does. Oh, wow. Yes. Yes, that's the other thing that I found interesting because I have Ashimoto's, which is a thyroid condition, which is often exasperated if your gut wall is open. And it does test to see if your gut wall is open. And if your gut wall is closed, then you have less propensity for inflammation. So that was good for me because I've been suffering for so long. Knowing that it is closed now gives me the opportunity that I have less inflammation and less attack on my thyroid.
So is this an invasive test or is it a blood test? Like what kind of test is it?
No, it's a blood test. You get a little. You're gonna prick and. Yeah, yeah, it's invasive. They come to your house, they take all your blood. Okay. Oh, so we get visitors. It's not like we don't go to a clinic. No, no, it gets mailed to you. I'm just.
She's kidding.
Oh, okay. Wait, we have to self prick ourselves? Yeah. Actually it's a little. I don't know, I don't have mine here. It's like a little thing that you just push down on and it goes. And it makes the prick and they show you exactly how to do it.
Oh, cool.
You just stick it onto a plate and it runs the blood and you there. I think that. I think it's the one Elizabeth with the line. I've done so many recently, I forget the spots.
So you just make.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
It's on this spot.
Yes. Yeah. It doesn't take. Yeah. And then all the pack, all the delivery packaging is included in the box and you just put it all together and then ship it. So. Yeah.
This is so interesting. I learned so much. This was so good.
Thank you.
Annalisa, welcome.
Absolutely.
So helpful.
Oh, you're welcome. Anybody else with any other questions? Nikki says this is an aha moment for adrenal support, sleep and stress. They are my flare ups. Yep, yep. And if you need the Rishi, you just get. I think on the.
Yeah.
Because our package only had the flyer for the tea or coffee. But I was wondering if we can order the capsules.
Yeah. So you can send. Here's the link.
Coffee is delicious.
Yeah, I don't drink.
There's.
I know, I know.
So Link for ordering the 30 card if you sing. I don't. I think the cap. Are they on? Let me just check. If they're not on there, we can send a message to. Oh no, they're there. So if you click the link. Yeah, you can order coffee. Organic green tea with the Rishi mushrooms. The Rishi spore powder capsules is a third one.
Okay.
Okay.
Yeah, perfect. Because yeah, the flyer that we got in our package only had it for the tea or coffee. That's why I wondered.
Let me take a note for that and I will talk to Deepa about that. Make sure we add that on.
Great.
Okay, awesome. Well, if there's no other questions. Love all of you. Enjoy your week. Next week Deepa will be doing the session. I'm taking a break.
Nice.
Thank you so much. So helpful.
Thank you.
Getting started again. Send me a message if you need any help. Okay.
Hey, I just sent you an email but.
Okay, perfect.
I kind of email.
Okay, awesome. If you have any questions just send me a chat and we'll get you get going again.
Okay.
I think it's just so awesome that you. We can continue.
