Good afternoon, friends. Welcome, welcome. So great to see you all here. Welcome Shelly. Welcome Patty. Welcome Becca. Welcome Dr. Burke. Welcome Nancy. Welcome Caitlyn. And if you're able to, I invite you to turn on your cameras. Always like to see your beautiful faces. Going to put a reminder as we all enter here and as I'm doing that, let me know in the chat what you're grateful for today.
Sam.
Let me know what you're grateful for today. My Internet is being extremely slow today. Just trying to get this message sent. Caitlyn says, grateful for finding the metabolic three step program and joining my first zoom. Welcome. I'm glad you're joining. Shelly says I'm grateful for my peaceful surroundings today. Amazing. Becca says, grateful for deep breaths, for being able to be strong and healthy and the ability to travel while relatively young. Okay, that's amazing.
Good.
Try one more time. I think it's just this website that's. I might have to do it for my phone. Wonder if their website is down. Nancy says, grateful for warmth and shelter and the ability to stay off the slick and icy roads. Okay, well, stay safe. Okay, well I think their sight is down, so give me a second here. Okay, so for those of you who are just joining us, let us know in the comments what you're grateful for today.
Sa.
All right, so to start off we're going to do a quick body scan, guided meditation. Meditation. So I invite you all to participate. It's always good to just take this opportunity to reset because we typically don't do that for ourselves. And I think it's a great way for us to start off our all today. So.
Come into a comfortable seated position on your yoga mat.
You can do this from your desk, wherever you're sitting as well. Of course, if you're driving, take a.
Deep breath in through your yoga maticipate and exhale fully with a sigh. Let your hands rest in your lap or on your thighs. And as you begin to breathe in and out through your nose, feel your stomach expand on the inhale and contract on the exhale. As you breathe, let your thoughts fizzle away and bring your awareness to the space between your eyebrows. Relax that space. Bring your attention to your jaw so the mouth is closed but the teeth are apart. Relax your jaw. We'll begin the body scan from the top of the head. So as I say, the parts of the body just visualize relaxation. And if you feel any tension there, see if you can send your breath there like a laser releasing any tension or any stress you're holding in that Particular area. Bring your attention to the top of your head, the forehead, the cheeks.
The.
Mouth, the back of the head.
The.
Tops of the shoulders, the front of the chest, the upper back, the middle.
Back.
The lower back, the stomach and the ribs. Bring your awareness to your shoulders.
The.
Biceps, the triceps, the forearms, your hands. Bring your attention to your hips. Feel yourself firmly rooted into the mat. Bring your attention to your thighs, the right thigh, the left thigh, The right knee, the left knee, the right shin, the right calf muscle, the left shin, the left calf muscle, the right ankle, the left ankle, the right foot, the bottom of the foot, the top of the foot, the right toes, the left foot, the bottom of the foot, the top of the foot, the left toes. Scan your body from your head to your toes, feeling yourself in total relaxation. Bring your hands to prayer position.
And.
Take a moment to acknowledge a sense of calm that you feel. And note that it has the power to carry you throughout the rest of your day. When you're ready, seal in your practice with Namaste.
Okay, so that was just a quick five minute body scan. Hope you found that helpful. It's always good to connect to our body and our sensations and how we feel. It just helps us make better choices for ourselves and be less reactive and more responsive. So a couple of announcements before we get started with today's topic. So first of all wanted to announce that if you have any friends or family that are interested in what you've been up to and the amazing results that you've been getting, I am doing a masterclass for our community. It's basically called Nose Mpic because our process doesn't use Ozempic and it's for anyone who wants to optimize their health and you know, live a better life, have a transformational experience as many of you have through this process. For those who are looking to lose weight, reduce joint pain, improve brain health, optimize energy. So it's our five step process for, you know, menopausal women, but also many men go through our program too to safely lose 15 to 30 pounds in just six weeks. So it's Monday at 7pm Eastern and I am going to put the link in the comments or sorry in the chat and I'm also going to put it in our Facebook group. So just keep that link handy and like I said, feel free to pass this along to any of your friends or family who are interested in what you're doing and what you've been up to. So that's the first announcement. Second announcement is I'M not sure if any of you, if you could write it in the chat or, you know, raise your hand, let me know if you were able to attend the breath work experience that Sachin did on January 1st. Were any of you able to attend? Okay, so I'm going to share that with you as well. It is a very transformational experience. I invite you to go through it. It's experiential. You will need about 90 minutes. So just make sure if you are going to go through it. It's always nice to do it in a group, but you can do it on, you know, on your own as well. It's all recorded and I put the replay there. Becca was amazing. Yes, I remember Becca was there. People just have amazing breakthroughs and that kind of leads me into what our topic is for today, which is around Identity and Paradigm. So if you feel like you've had any past traumas or doesn't even have to be anything, you know, what we call as big teat trauma, it could be little T trauma too, right? Maybe a comment that a teacher may have said to you when you're younger that you're still holding on to or a friend or a family member. And it just is a great way to release anything that no longer serves us. And people have just amazing breakthroughs and insights when they go through this experience. So I really, you know, invite you all to go through it. There are a couple things that are recommended when you do go through the experience. You know, a pillow or a blanket you can lie down on on your bed or having a comfortable place to lie down. It's nice to have headphones because the audio is a lot, just a lot more immersive when you have headphones. You can have an eye mask, a journal and a pen and of course a quiet room. So really would love for you all to experience is very powerful and especially like I said, if you feel like there some sort of emotion that you're holding on to that you need to release. Especially as we start this new year, right. We're in 2025. Happy New Year to you all. And that's why I wanted to, you know, kick off this session with the Identity and Paradigm exercise. How many of you have been through the exercise? I have covered it on a previous Q and A, but I know we always have new faces. So I thought it was very timely for us to go through that exercise. So just a few little tidbits in terms of what this exercise is all about. So basically when it comes to. And I'll just speak to weight loss specifically, because I know many of you are here specifically for the weight loss, but it could be any aspect of our health. But I think it rings true. More so for weight loss sometimes is if you have experienced losing a certain number of pounds or having some sort of transformation in your health and then that symptom or that weight returns and you regain the weight, that is usually an indication that you have not shifted your paradigm and your identity. This is a very important exercise for us to really focus on maintaining our results. Right. Because not that it's easy, of course, it's challenging for us to go through the release phase part of the program. It's certainly not easy, but the more challenging part is maintaining our results. And maintaining our results requires consistency. And it requires a lot more than just having, you know, healthy habits in place. It requires us to shift our mindset, it requires us to shift our paradigm, it requires us to shift our identity. So what does it mean when I say these two words, paradigm and identity? So paradigm, our paradigm is kind of the lens through which we look at the world, right? So some people have a paradigm in which they believe that as they get older, they're supposed to get sicker, right? So my grandmother, for example, you know, she's. She's into her 90s now. She's 92. And, but, and you know, she, she definitely is not someone who I would say has a positive mindset. So she has some really good genes working for her, but she really does believe that as she gets older, she's supposed to, you know, be immobile and have high blood pressure and have all the maladies that she has. Right. And that's kind of what she experiences in her Life, right. She's 92, and I would say that she is pretty, you know, well functioning, but she's pretty immobile. Right. She spends basically day in and day out sitting on the couch in one spot watching tv. She's not very mobile, you know, and, and of course she's 92. So everyone's out there on their own journey. But. And I think this is a paradigm that if you speak with a lot of people, they have this paradigm that as they get older, they're supposed to get, know, high blood pressure and diabetes and chronic disease and aches and pains. Right. I was speaking with a friend who had inquired about our program a few months ago, and I, I was just touching base with her a few weeks ago, and she's like, oh, you know, I was sleeping and I turned a little awkwardly and my Back went out, she's like, oh, I guess, you know, as we get older, these are the kind of things that happen. I'm like, no, it doesn't have to be this way. Right? So that's, that's paradigm, okay? And when our paradigm is kind of broken, then every decision that we make is going to follow thereafter, right. In terms of what that paradigm is based upon, right. So for me, my paradigm is that as I get older, my body gets more wiser and I have more wisdom and I'm going to get healthier as I age because I have more experience. Right. And that my health is my responsibility and no one's going to take better care of it than I do. And identity, identity is kind of the internal dialogue and language that we have with ourselves. And sometimes we vocalize it, but most of the time it's this internal chatter that we have with ourselves.
And.
A really simple example is someone who's vegetarian, right? Someone who identifies as a vegetarian is not going to eat animal proteins, right? So every choice they make is based on that identity, Right. When they go to a restaurant, they're going to choose meals that are vegetarian based, right? If your identity is that you are someone who makes healthy choices, then for the most part, when you go to a restaurant, you're going to make healthier choices. Okay? So our identity really determines a lot of subtleties in our life, right? Sometimes we're not conscious of this, which is why I'm bringing this up because I want you to become more conscious of what your identity is as a person. Okay? So I am going to share a Google Doc that is going to help you with this exercise. It's in the chat so you can open it up. And it's called the Identity Playbook. And this is obviously not something that I expect you to do in the next 40 minutes that we have together here for this session. But we are going to, you know, work out, work through some of it. Okay? So before we work through it, I am going to play this video where Sachin shares this identity exercise. And this is in your program modules as well. It's one of the first few modules.
Hello, my friends.
Let me share my screen. Give me a second. Okay.
Thank you for joining me today. Today I have an exercise that I want you to do that I feel like is going to profoundly shift your life. In fact, I've shared this exercise with a few people and they've told me how excited they are to actually join you in doing this today. So today we're going to rewrite your future. And we're going to do that, that by rewriting your identity. One of the exercises, I often have clients too, so actually one of the first things I encourage you to do is to rewrite your day. Right? We want to create our perfect day, but in order for you to live your perfect day, you have to have a certain identity. And that identity is what we're going to create today. And we're going to start living into that from this day forward. So today's exercise is really simple, but I'm going to give you some time to think it through to create this identity and then we're going to actually share that identity with each other. I find it's so much more impactful if you can share this new version of yourself with the people around you so they know how you're going to show up from this point forward and they can actually hold you accountable. Because that's actually what it's going to take to shift your identity, is not just you having it in your mind, but you announcing it to the world, so to speak, and at least announcing it to your inner circle of people so that they can call you out when they need to and gently nudge you in the right direction. So, real quick story about how this idea actually formulated. And it was a combination of two things that happened. One was attending an event called Archangel, where Giovanni, who's the leader of this community, asked us to create an alter ego of ourselves. And this alter ego is the best version of ourselves that we could possibly think of. And so it was a fun exercise. We gave ourselves a cool name. We identified and shared the accomplishments of this individual. But what I realized in that process is that we were identifying the attributes of this or the things that this person had, the success that they had, the growth that they had, the relationships that they had. But what we didn't identify is the identity that's required to actually achieve those things and for those things to actually happen for you. And oftentimes that's the missing link. And so today I want to, I want to close that gap. And then shortly after that, I went to a cold plunge sauna, you know, sunrise retreat for men and women recently in Toronto. And many of the people that were at that event, at the Archangel event, were, were part of this event as well. So a group of entrepreneurs, forward thinking people, people into health and wellness. So really my kind of community, and of course your kind of community as well. And in the ice bath, I had the idea, it struck me that in order for me to have the things I want, I have to become the person that's deserving of this. And I've been talking about this for quite some time. The question is always, who are you becoming in whatever process you're involved in, whether it's work, whether it's a relationship, whether it's. It's a project you're working on, a business venture? Who are you becoming in the process not as a result of what's happening outside of you and who that's turning you into, but what's happening and emerging from inside of you and how that's showing up for you? That's what we want to start thinking about, and that's how we want to, you know, really reformulate our identity through this process today. The exercise, as I mentioned, is simple. The hard part is going to be, if there is a hard part to this, is sharing it with others, because that makes it real. And then the other challenge that you might have is sharing it with people really close to you, like your children and your spouse or other loved ones in your family that and your teammates as well, that are going to hold you accountable to this so that you can, you know, live in this identity as much as possible throughout each day, week, month, year and decade. And that's going to formulate and be really the key ingredient to the ideal life that you desire. So as we go through this exercise, what I want you to do is I want you to think of different areas of your life. And I wrote a whole bunch down, so I don't forget any. But I'm sure there's other areas that you can think of, and I want you to add that to the worksheet. So I'm just going to get out a blank piece of paper.
So for this, you can open up the Google Doc and then you can follow along. Okay.
And what you're going to do is you're going to write some of these things down. I encourage you to write them down versus typing them out, at least at your first pass, because it's. There's something magical about writing things down. So you can always put it into a Google Doc or on your computer later, or dictate it into your phone a little bit later if you want. But I encourage you to really write things down. It just makes them so much more real when there's a physical action of you writing and senior penmanship and so on and so forth. All right, so let's go through the.
So use the Google Doc to guide you, and then just grab a piece of Paper, as Sachin has discussed here.
To.
Write it down and then you can transfer it to the Google Doc after. I'll reshare it, because I know some of you hopped in here.
This exercise and get this process started, because I know you're going to really enjoy it. So first things first is we're going to give ourselves a name. We're going to give this alter ego, this new identity, this new version of us, we're going to give ourselves a name, right? When we. We completely redesign a car, we don't name it the same thing, right? It's a complete redesign and it's going to have new features, new benefits. It's going to be a totally evolved product. So we have to give it a name and have some fun with this. So my super identity is Super Sachin, right? And it sounds kind of corny and cheesy, but that makes it stick. So for me, Super Sachin is that upgraded identity version of myself. What's yours? Go ahead and maybe even share that in the chat. Give it some thought. It's obviously something you can change and it's something that you can mold and something you can, you know, shape into the future however you choose. But, you know, for me, I said, let me make it stick, right? I love. I love the fact that my name starts with S. I always wanted a Superman tattoo. I've got a few Superman T shirts. So Super Sachin was very fitting for me and it puts a smile on my face. So what puts a smile on your face? Maybe, you know, conjures up a positive memory or a time in your life, or maybe it's the name you always wanted that your parents never gave you. What is that for you? So go ahead and type that into the chat. Write that down. And now what we're going to start doing is we're going to start identifying the different categories that are important to this identity's version of yourself. So Super Sachin has certain things that in his life are very important, and I made a short list. You can certainly, you know, start thinking about the dimensions that are important to you in your life and this new identity. So there's no particular order here. They're all important. Physical health is one of those categories. In my environment and the space that I'm in, the people that I'm around, my relationships are important to me. Finances are important to me. Mental health is important to me. Time management and how I show up is important to me. Workflow management is important to me. Tough conversations, you have to have those. So I want to, I want to process for that. I want a new identity for that. Staying true to my words. That's important to me. Technology is important to me. Social settings, vulnerability, coachability, teachability. These are things that are important to me. So what are some of the categories that are important to you? You can reference the worksheet, we've got some ideas there and of course you can add more should you choose to. Now what I want you to start doing is I want you to start thinking of these different areas. So, you know, as we think of physical health, there's many branches that come off of physical health. You know, what time are you going to wake up? What's your nutrition like, what's your priority in terms of your physical health? Is it sleep, is it exercise, is it movement? You know, what is it that you're prioritizing? And so what I want you to start doing now is taking this category of physical health and identifying how your new identity would show up in, you know, certain situations. Right. So, and you're. We're defining this person's character. So Super Sachin wakes up at 6am now here's the caveat and here's the key to, you know, actually having success with this exercise is adding the simple words even when, let me say that again, even when Super Sachin wakes up at 6am every day, even when he's tired. Okay. And then what you want to add, if necessary is unless. Okay, so there are situations where waking up at 6am May not be of service to my body. Maybe I'm traveling, maybe I didn't go to bed at a decent time, maybe I was socializing or in a sauna or doing something fun with my friends. And waking up at 6am is not going to serve my body. So we want to give ourselves, we want to say even when we don't feel like doing something, you know, we want to add that in there. But we also want to give ourselves permission to honor our bodies. Right? So I can't improve my physical health if I don't get enough sleep. So we don't want to be self sabotaging because when you have a self sabotaging pattern, then you're never going to keep it. Right. And, and the system just crashes at that point. So you know, what are some of the stipulations or excuses that you make for yourself when you're facing this challenge of waking up at 6am okay. Next thing you might want to talk about is going for a walk. Right? So Super Satchin goes for a Walk even when it's raining. Okay? So that's an easy excuse for all of us to not go for our walk, which we know is so important for our mental health, our business, our, you know, our physical health as well as. But we come up with an excuse. So instead, Super Satchin would have a rain jacket and he would be prepared for the rain and he would have waterproof shoes so he's not worried about when it's raining.
Right?
Because that identity is an identity that is prepared for any circumstance to succeed instead of complaining. Next, we might start talking about bedtime and sleep. So what are the guidelines that you have around sleep? So you go to bed on time even when. Right. Unless. Right. So I go to bed on time, you know, every day I'm in bed by 10pm or Super Sachin's in bed by 10pm even when he doesn't feel like it, for example, unless he's socializing with his friends and doing something that is worth him staying up late at night. So start thinking of this identity. Start thinking of how you're going to code this person and how this person is going to show up in so many different areas. So I can give you a few examples of things that I wrote down that might be helpful in inspiring you. And you'll have some in the worksheet as well because, you know, part of this exercise is for me to be held accountable to my own process. So Sachin, the super version of him, shows up and wakes up at 6am every day even when he doesn't feel like it. His gratitude upon rising and in each moment that he can think of, gratitude, which I'm grateful for you right now, especially when his thoughts are negative. Okay? We all fall into these traps. He shares valuable information even on days when he doesn't feel like it, even if he hasn't shaved, because that's an excuse used for myself. And I talk myself out of a lot of things that I could be doing in this current version of me. But the Super Sachin version of me doesn't pay attention to those things. He's unfazed by these things. So I'll have a whole list that you can reference. I don't want to sit here and read these out to you. I want you to start creating some of your own and you can use some of mine as a prompt for you. And we're going to start creating this new identity. You have about 10 to 12 minutes or so to do that and in doing so we're then going to break you out into groups of four. And you're going to read your identity to each other. Shouldn't take you more than a couple minutes to read this new version of yourself. And then your homework is going to be to continue to add. And in each situation that you face from this moment forward, I invite you to ask yourself, what would the upgraded version of me do? What would Super Sachin do in this situation? And then it immediately changes the way you show up. You know, Super Sachin, for example, has tough conversations even when he doesn't feel like it. Super Sachin handles his emails as quickly as possible so that his inbox stays as close to zero as possible. So his inbox is open to opportunity. Right? It's not lost. Opportunities aren't lost in his inbox. Opportunities are front and center in his inbox because it's decluttered. You see that identity requires certain behaviors. And so then it becomes so much easier for me to sink into that behavior. And I want it to be simple for you to sink into that behavior as well when you have this personal manifesto of the upgraded version of yourself. So go ahead, let's spend about 10 to 12 minutes, let's start writing things down. Don't overthink it. Make sure in certain situations you give yourself an eligible out so that you're not sabotaging yourself. You're giving yourself that opportunity to, to have imperfect days and still be on track for living that new identity version of you. Right? So the example I gave you is I wake up at 6am Even when I don't feel feel like it. Unless you know there's a good reason for me to sleep in. If I went to bed too late, I'm traveling, I'm in a different time zone, or there's something that requires me to get some extra sleep. Maybe I've overexerted myself. My ring is telling me I need to rest more. Then I'm going to pay attention to that because I don't want my goal to be self sabotaging the very area that I'm trying to improve. Okay, so here's how this exercise is going to go. We're going to play some music for about 10 minutes, which should inspire you and encourage you and really pull the best new version of yourself out of you. And then once the music is done, we will break you up into breakout groups. We're going to break you up into groups of four. And in these groups of four, you're going to share your new identity. You're going to read out loud the characteristics of this person and you're going to talk about that person as if that's the new you. Okay? So you really got to feel this, you got to own this. And your group is going to, of course, be listening and in many ways they're going to be your indirect accountability partners. We're going to have the person with the longest hair go first and the person with the shortest hair is going to keep time. You shouldn't need more than a few minutes.
Okay. So I hope you were all able to jot a few things down. Like I said, I don't expect you to complete the exercise, you know, within this session. But does anyone want. We have a relatively smaller group today, so we're not going to put you into breakout rooms. But I wanted to give an opportunity for anyone to share perhaps, you know, one or two things from their identity playbook with the rest of the group. So if you'd like to share, please raise your hand and I will unmute you. Or you can, let me see. Allow participants to mute themselves. Okay. So you should be able to unmute yourself. Or you can even type it in the chat. I know some of you have, like I said, it's in the module. So if you're, you know, getting the practice better modules, it's one of the first few ones under. Let me just let you know which one it's under. Preparing your environment and mindset for the reset. Shelly, did you want to share?
Sure.
Okay.
Part of, I guess my, my new process for myself. So self loving Shelly.
Okay.
Love that speaks kindly to herself, checks in with herself and checks in with her body. And self loving Shelley pauses and allows emotions to, to come forward and to process the emotions. Self loving Shelley also, who takes time to herself before she enters into the world in whatever way, shape or form. Self loving Shelly has learned, is learning not to be so serious. So she's lightening up in all ways, shapes and form and self loving Shelley will also always try come back and, and ask what would love say before she goes forward.
Awesome.
I love that. Yeah. So feel free, you know, to perhaps even what other people are sharing. Like use that in your own identity playbook. Right. Because I definitely think that a lot of what you shared with regards to the way you speak with yourself, the thoughts that go through your head, the, your ability to check in with yourself and your body is so important for long term results when it comes to our health. Right. Because if we're talking to ourselves negatively, if we're, you know, if we don't love ourselves, then the Results are not going to be lasting. Right. So we really do have to speak to ourselves from a place of kindness and love ourselves. Right. And then that takes time sometimes. Right. And that's why, you know, if there's some things that you're holding on to or that you've been to. That's why I wanted to share the. The breath work replay if you haven't done it. Because I think. I think it will really help for any of you who are, you know, struggling with anything, release some of that. Right. And even if you're not, I think it's still a great exercise to go through. So does anyone else want to share? Mary, I know you said that you had done it in the. When you were going through the modules. Do you want to share anything from your.
I. I was, I was trying to go back and find what I. Because I had. I went through and I remember doing it and thinking, wow, this is really a great exercise. And I really liked the sort of the commitment that you make. Except when.
Yes.
Which I think is a really, for me anyway, is a really important part of growth and just sort of allowing myself the humanness of not being perfect. Right. So.
Exactly.
Which again, for me can sometimes be the thing that fears me off course to say.
Yep.
So I, I remember doing it really early on and I'm trying to. Was trying to go back to it, and I'm just having a. I'm having a hard time finding it in my documents.
Okay.
No.
No worries. So.
I do remember doing it and I do remember thinking this is a really great exercise. And I, I think the sort of having the alternate super person or the marvelous person is a great way to frame it. Yeah. And I, I really liked what Shelly said about the self talk and, and sort of that part of it too. And then for. For me, I. What I'm struggling with is how would that person kind of structure all the things that have to happen in her day, life and business between, you know, and all the things that we're. I'm trying to kind of make the shift to making part of a regular daily routine and practice. Some of them I do well, and some of them I'm like, I don't know how I can get on the kind of the. There's the. I do the mindfulness portion every day. I've done it for years and years. But. And the meditation portion. But the. Some of the other parts are. How would. How would this other alter ego kind of fit those things in and kind of sift through what's important to fit in and what's not important to fit in. So I think my question in the chat, in our chat through the app was kind of the struggle with sort of a day. How would that day look, week, month, look between business clients? Yeah, yeah.
Like what I. What I usually will, you know, recommend is. Is habit stacking, right? A lot of the things we can habit stack, and some of these things, you know, don't need to be done on a daily basis every single day, right? So you might have a list of like five to 10 things that you want to, like, check off the box. And out of those five to ten things, you do like two or three of them consistently every day, right? So instead of trying to do all five to 10 of them, you choose two or three each day that's going to fit your schedule, right? And I find that if you're able to, I know some of you might not be able to, but if you're able to dedicate the time in the morning, I find a lot of our health practices, if we block off a little bit of time in the morning to get these things done, then that's when our motivation is the highest. That's when, you know, the day is usually quieter, is a great time to engage in some health habits that you want to partake in. In, right? So really making sure that you dedicate and put it in your schedule, right? That's another thing is if we don't schedule it, then it. It's just not going to get done, right? So really make sure that you're blocking the time off to do whatever you need to do for yourself and try to habit stack, which is where you try to do at least two things at the same time. Time, right? So maybe you might go for a walk and listen to a podcast, right? Or you might go for a walk and sit down at a bench and like, meditate for two or three minutes, right? So you're trying to do two things at once so it doesn't take up as much time. Or you might go outside and ground your feet on the. On the earth while you drink your morning beverage, right? So those are some ways that you can have it stack back. Okay, great.
Thank you.
You're very welcome, Nikki. I know Nikki wrote something in the chat. Do you want to unmute, Nikki?
Sorry, bad lighting. Hello.
Hello.
So I have to say, when I did this exercise earlier in my program, I kind of thought it was busy work. Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, it was these things that I had the most profound changes to me, I actually felt, felt that I got more out of stress reduction for my overall health. I got rid of all my gut issues because of the stress reduction and so these exercises were really powerful and so I actually cheated today I went into chat GPT and had us asked it what I wanted my word to be to go with Nikki and it nurturing. So one of mine today was even in the world when the world feels chaotic and demanding, nurturing, Nikki remains calm, resilient and focused. Resource. Resourcefully guiding others towards their goals and yeah, I don't know. Lovely.
Yeah, I love that.
Yeah.
I mean use the resources, right. To kind of help you, inspire you and just refine the process. Right. So thank you for sharing that. Yeah, I love it. I think it is very important, right that we do this exercise for like I said, this is not just a 10 week program where you do all these things, you get these results and then that's it. Right. Health is a journey and what's going to help us maintain our results and the practices that we've implemented during the program is something like this exercise, right. And it's good to revisit it. Right. So I know some of you feel like you may have done it before but you know how it is, right. Things get like forgotten or you know, we. It's not top of mind awareness anymore. So it's always good to revisit periodically throughout the year even. Right. Beginning of the year is always a good time and then you know, quarterly or every six months thereafter just to change it. Right. Things can change too, right? Because each day you're getting better and better like a better version of yourself. Right. And some things might apply, some things might need to change, right? So it's a living, breathing document that can change and evolve and adapt as you change and evolve as well up. Right. And grow. So thank you for sharing that. Anyone else want to share? And if you don't feel called to share, that's okay as well. Just make sure, as Sachin has mentioned, that you share it with a family member or a friend who can keep you accountable. Right. And that's another reason why going through the program with a friend or family member is so powerful because you can do these things together, right. And share them together. Like if you just did this exercise and randomly told a friend, there'd be, they'd be confused, right? But when you're going through it with someone, then you're all on the same page, right? So if no one else is going to share, then I will. We have A few more minutes left. So does anyone have any questions? I'll open up the floor to questions and then we can. It doesn't have to be about this exercise. It can be about anything program related.
I was just going to say that I think I'm going to put a note that because I'm going to do a second release and I think for me the. I'm going to do this exercise every time I start a maintenance phase. I think in particular past I've done a weight loss journey before and one of the things I found was just the identity part of it was really the part that I think caused the failure. And so I like, I like them for me, I like the maintenance part is kind of a lily pad to be able to come to look at myself in a. Through the eyes of, of who and what my body is when I've gone through the release. And then I got some time. Like that maintenance part I think is so fantastic. Like it's just a stopping point, a lily point to be able to regroup and kind of gather myself internally and externally. So, yeah, and I'm going to do this exercise, I think almost on a monthly because I. That's kind of error every six weeks or something. So I think it really just solidifies that for me. So that was all I wanted to say.
Okay.
Yeah, so definitely, you know, I think the maintenance is a good time to do it. It could, could be really, you know, beginning of release phase, but the maintenance phase sometimes for some people they find it hard because they like the release phase, they like having those specific guidelines and the training wheel, so to speak. And then on maintenance for some people it's very all or none. Right. So if they don't have specific guidelines to follow anymore, then, you know, it can be challenging for them to maintain some of their habits. Right. So any time of the program I think is a great time to do the exercise. But definitely, you know, I know we touched on it today, so it's not going to be fully complete, but please take the time, whether it's this weekend, later on today to go through the rest of the Google Doc as well. Okay, Nikki had a question. You can go ahead and unmute.
So being a little indulgent over the holidays, I already cleaned up my act, lost that weight back to my reset point. However, I kind of toyed with the idea of resetting again so that I can detox from the cellular level. Is that necessary to use a spray? Because I'm at my reset and desired weight because the HPA axis technically is at its proper set point, but I want to detox as much as possible. What do you think?
So, great question. I'm glad you asked this because just recently I came off of a. I didn't do the full three days, but I did 66 hours, a 72 hour, which is like a three day fast, which last year I did two days, 48 hours. So of course if you're not used to doing these type of things, like you want to work up to it, of course, on the release phase, we're doing 16 hours at a minimum. I know some people go a little longer just because of the way meals are timed. But you might want to start with like a 24 hour fast, right. And then that, you know, like you might start with a 24 hour fast and then maybe two or three weeks later you might do the 48 hour fast. Right. And that I wouldn't recommend something that you do regularly. It's usually something that people will do like quarterly or once or twice a year. Same thing with the 72 hour fast, right. It's not something that you do all the time. It's something like I said the last time I did an extended fast was January 2024. I did 48 hours this year I said, let me try to do 72 hours. I got to 66. So it's something like I just do once a year. But it's a great way to really kind of hit that reset button. Right. So I don't know if any of you are familiar with Dr. Mindy Pels, but she is a chiropractor and she has a huge, she's written several books and she has a huge community and basically has talked about like the benefits of fasting. And you know, it's not for everyone, these extended fasts. So you know, you have to listen to your body and specifically, you know, for, for women who are cycling, you definitely don't want to do something like this the week before your cycle, but. And you want to make sure you're well supported, right. So I had water with salt in it to give me some electrolytes. I had like a mineral supplement that I was using which was zero calories. I had an amino acid supplement that I was using, which is zero calories as well, to just support my body as I went through the fast as well. So. So that's something that, all that to say is that something that you might want to consider down the road if, if that calls to you to do kind of like a cellular detox. Right. So I, I want to pull it up. But where was it? She had this great graphic. Maybe I can. Okay, hold on, let me see if I can pull it up. But she has this great graphic which showed how like at the 24 hour mark, what happens to the body? At the 36 hour mark, 48 hour mark and 72 hour mark, what happens? Let me see if I can.
Let.
Me just see if I can pull it up here. Okay. I'm just going through to the YouTube video that she shared. I might have to find it a little later. Sorry about that. But yeah, it's a lot of different benefits that happen happen so at different points. Like I think at 24 hour point, it's like your, your gut has kind of gone through a reset, right. At 72 hours, there's the immune reset. At 48 hours, you start regenerating stem cells. 72 hours, you, that peaks, the stem cells peak. You can also do like a five day fast that has some food with it. It's called fasting mimicking diet. There is a company called Prolon which sells a kit that keeps you at a minimum amount of calories that still keeps you at a, in a fasted state. And then you start regenerating stem cells around day four or five. So, you know, that's something that you might want to consider as well if you feel like, oh, I don't know if I can go without food for that long of a period of time. There's Prolon, fasting, mimicking diet, that is also an option.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Okay, what other questions do you all have? Okay, here, this is what it is right here.
I'll.
I found it. I just thought, you know what, let me just google it. Sure enough, I found it. Google anything these days. Can everyone see my screen?
Hold on one second.
Yeah. And Shelly put, she has, she also explains what happens after 17 hours. I have her menopause reset book. Yeah, I have that one too. And it's a great book. So here, so 13 to 15 hours, human growth hormone reduced inflammation. Fat burning begins, increased ketones, improved energy and focus. 17 hours is autophagy fasting. And this is something that you know on the reset you're pretty much doing right. 24 hours is the gut reset. Brain health, autoimmune healing, intestinal STEM cell regeneration. 36 hours is the fat burner fast reduce glucose stores, reduce insulin stores, increased fat burning, detox anti aging. 48 hours reset dopamine reset receptors, reduce anxiety and depression. Anti aging anti antioxidant production. Human growth hormone increases by 500% and then you have 72 hours peak autophagy. Immune stem cells Math Musculoskeletal stem cells. Chronic conditions. Accelerated healing with chronic conditions. So yeah, so that's kind of a breakdown of what happens at each of those stages. What do you recommend besides more water with a little sea salt for headaches while fasting? So definitely want to put electrolytes and minerals. So the ones that I was using were called beam minerals. Just share my screen. So there's an electrolyte and micro. This is the mineral Complete Mineral supplement. It's a liquid based supplement. I can put the link in the chat as well. I think it should be available on Amazon too. I'm not sure though. Any other questions? Comments? We are at the top of the hour so. You can always put the trace minerals in water if it tastes bad. So that way it reduces the bad taste, so to speak. Okay everyone. Well it was so great to see you all. Have a wonderful rest of your day and we'll see you next week. Bye everyone. Have a great day.
Bye.
