Foreign. Welcome, welcome, welcome Cat and your beautiful grandbaby. So cute. Welcome Denise. Welcome, Joanne. Welcome Sangeeta, Amanda. Can you guys hear me and hear my music? Yes. Okay.
Perfect.
Yes.
Thank you.
Okay, awesome. Okay, so I'm just gonna let everyone sign in here and as we wait for a few more people to join us, let me know in the chat what you're grateful for today. O. Amanda says, picking up my passport, ready to travel. That sounds exciting.
Exciting.
Just gonna put one final reminder in our Facebook group. Sam. Hey. Denise says sunshine coffee, the library. Joanne says grateful for the blessings of being my 95 year old mom side while she took her last breath. Says grateful for the support and wonderful. You're so grateful for this program and wonderful support. Cat says grateful for another beautiful day. Hey, awesome. So we are going to start with just a little bit of breathing. I have a very special and powerful exercise for you all today and I think you know, you'll all find it really helpful and valuable. So I hope you can stick around till the end because we're going to try to break you up into like partners and maybe do some sharing. So hopefully you can all stay until the end and participate. I know sometimes some people watch these during their lunch hour kind of passively in the background but if you can participate that would be wonderful. So before we get started, I guess let's just do a little bit of box breathing just to kind of help us recenter and regroup. So you can go ahead and just sit in a comfortable spot if you're able to. And I'm just gonna put a little bit of softer music on. Oops. Okay. And as you're kind of settling in, just get your feet planted on the ground, relax your shoulders can close your eyes if you wish. And you're just going to start to become more aware of your breath. The inhales and the exhales. Try to slow your breathing down. Breathe from your nose. And we're going to inhale for four seconds. I'll cue you and then we're going to hold for four seconds and we're going to exhale for four seconds and then hold at the bottom of the exhale. So on the count of three, inhale through your nose. One, two, three. And you're going to hold. And you're going to exhale through the nose. And you're going to hold. And then inhale, Hold, Exhale, Hold, Inhale, hold, Exhale.
Hold.
Inhale.
Hold.
Exhale.
Hold.
Inhale, Hold. And exhale. And you can open your eyes whenever you're ready, come back to your normal breath. And you can turn your cameras back on. Let me know how that was for you in the chat. If you're thinking of selling your house. Sorry, I'm just queuing the video. Want to know how much more you could be getting by. How did that feel for you? Let me know in the chat. Joanne says, peaceful. Denise says very nice and calming. Awesome. Thank you for sharing. Okay, so we are going to get into our exercise today. So basically what we're going to work on today is an identity exercise. So it would be wonderful if you could, if you're on a computer, you can pull up a Google Doc or something. But I always like pen and paper. So if you have a pen and a piece of paper handy, that would be great just because you are going to be doing a little bit of writing and, and we're going to be prompting you, you know, through the exercise. So first I'm going to play the video just to kind of give you a little bit of background in terms of what the exercise is about and then we'll kind get into, into it from there. Okay, so let me share my screen. Can everyone see my screen? Okay, perfect.
Hello, my friends. I trust you're doing amazing. Thank you for joining me today. Today I have an exercise that I want you to do that I feel like is going to profoundly shift your life. In fact, I've shared this exercise with a few people and they've told me how excited they are to actually join you in doing this today. So today we're going to rewrite your future and we're going to do that by rewriting your identity. One of the exercises I often have clients do, it's actually one of the first things I encourage you to do is to rewrite your day.
Right?
We wanna create our perfect day. But in order for you to live your perfect day, you have to have a certain identity. And that identity is what we're gonna create today and we're gonna start living into that from this day forward. So today's exercise is really simple, but I'm gonna give you some time to think it through to create this identity and then we're gonna actually share that identity with each other. I find it so much more impactful if you can share this new version of yourself with the people around you so they know how you're going to show up from this point forward and they can actually hold you accountable because that's actually what it's going to take to shift your identity is not just you having it in your mind, but you announcing it to the world, so to speak, and at least announcing it to your inner circle of people so that they can call you out when they need to and gently nudge you in the right direction. So real quick story about how this idea actually formulated. And it was a combination of two things that happened. One was attending an event called Archangel, where Giovanni, who's the leader of this community, asked us to create an alter ego of ourselves. And this alter ego is the best version of ourselves that we could possibly think of. And so it was a fun exercise. We gave ourselves a cool name, we identified and shared the accomplishments of this individual. But what I realized in that process is that we were identifying, you know, the attributes that this per or the things that this person had, the success that they had, the growth that they had, the relationships that they had. But what we didn't identify is the identity that's required to actually achieve those things and for those things to actually happen for you. And oftentimes that's the missing link. And so today I want to close that gap. And then shortly after that, I went to a cold plunge sauna sunrise retreat for men and women recently in Toronto. And many of the people that were at that event, at the Archangel event, were part of this event as well. So a group of entrepreneurs, forward thinking people, people into health and wellness. So really my kind of community, and of course your kind of community as well. And in the ice bath I had the idea, it struck me that in order for me to have the things I want, I have to become the person that's deserving of this. And I've been talking about this for quite some time. The question is always, who are you becoming in whatever process you're involved in, whether it's work, whether it's a relationship, whether it's a project you're working on, a business venture, who are you becoming in the process? Not as a result of what's happening outside of you and who that's turning you into, but what's happening and emerging from inside of you and how that's showing up for you. That's what we wanna start thinking about. And that's how we wanna, you know, really reformulate our identity through this process today. So the exercise, as I mentioned, is simple. The hard part is gonna be, if there is a hard part to this, is sharing it with others, because that makes it real. And then the other challenge that you might have is sharing it with people really close to you, like your children and your spouse and or other Loved ones in your family, that, and your teammates as well, that are going to hold you accountable to this so that you can, you know, live in this identity as much as possible throughout each day, week, month, year, and decade. And that's going to formulate and be really the key ingredient to the ideal life that you desire. So as we go through this exercise, what I want you to do is I want you to think of different areas of your life. And I really wrote a whole bunch down, so I don't forget any, but I'm sure there is other areas that you can think of, and I want you to add that to the worksheet. So I'm just going to get out a blank piece of paper, and what you're going to do is you're going to write some of these things down. I encourage you to write them down versus typing them out, at least at your first pass, because there's something magical writing things down. So you can always put it into a Google Doc or on your computer later, or dictate it into your phone a little bit later if you want. But I encourage you to really write things down. It just makes them so, so, so much more real when there's a physical action of. Of you writing and seeing your penmanship and so on and so forth. All right, so let's go through this exercise and get this process started, because I know you're going to really enjoy it. So first things first is we're going to give ourselves a name. We're going to give this alter ego, this new identity, this new version of us. We're going to give ourselves a name, right? When we, if we completely redesign a car, we don't name it the same thing, right? It's a complete redesign, and it's going to have new features, new benefits. It's going to be a totally evolved product, so we have to give it a name and have some fun with this. So my super identity is Super Sachin, right? And it sounds kind of corny and cheesy, but that makes it stick. So for me, Super Sachin is that upgraded identity version of myself. What's yours? Go ahead and maybe even share that in the chat. Give it some thought. It's obviously something you can change, and it's something that you can mold and something you can, you know, shape into the future however you choose. But, you know, for me, I said, let me make it stick, right? I love. I love the fact that my name starts with S. I always wanted a Superman tattoo. I've got a few Superman T shirts. So Super Sachin was very fitting for me and it puts a smile on my face. So what puts a smile on your face? Maybe, you know, conjures up a positive memory or a time in your life, or maybe it's the name you always wanted that your parents never gave you. What is that for you? So go ahead and type that into the chat. Write that down. And now what we're gonna start doing is we're gonna start identifying the different categories that are important to this identity's version of yourself. So Super Sachin has certain things that in his life are very important. And I made a short list. You can certainly start thinking about the dimensions that are important to you in your life and this new identity. So there's no particular order here, they're all important. Physical health is one of those categories. In my environment and the space that I'm in, the people that I'm around, my relationships are important to me. Finances are important to me. Mental health is important to me. Time management and how I show up is important to me. Workflow management is important to me. Tough conversations, you have to have those. So I want to process for that. I want a new identity for that, staying true to my words. That's important to me. Technology is important to me. Social settings, vulnerability, coachability, teachability. These are things that are important to me. So what are some of the categories that are important to you? You can reference the worksheet, we've got some ideas there. And of course you can add more should you choose to. Now what I want you to start doing is I want you to start thinking of these different areas. So as we think of physical health, there's many branches that come off of physical health. What time are you going to wake up? What's your nutrition like? What's your priority in terms of your physical health? Is it sleep? Is it exercise? Is it movement? What is it that you're prioritizing? And so what I want you to start doing now is taking this category of physical health and identifying how your new identity would show up in, you know, certain situations. Right. So. And you're. We're defining this person's character. So Super Sachin wakes up at 6am now here's the caveat. Now here's the key to, you know, actually having success with this exercise is adding the simple words even when. Let me say that again. Even when Super Sachin wakes up at 6am every day, even when he's tired.
Okay?
And then what you want to add, if necessary, is unless, okay, so There are situations where waking up at 6am May not be of service to my body. Maybe I'm traveling, maybe I didn't go to bed at a decent time. Maybe I was socializing or in a sauna or doing something fun with my friends. And waking up at 6am is not going to serve my body. So we want to give ourselves, we want to say even when we don't feel like doing something, you know, we want to add that in there. But we also want to give ourselves permission to honor our bodies, right? So I can't improve my physical health if I don't get enough sleep. So we don't want to be self sabotaging because when you have a self sabotaging pattern then you're never going to keep it, right? And the system just crashes at that point. So you know, what are some of the stipulations or excuses that you make for yourself when you're facing this challenge of waking up at 6am? Okay, next thing you might want to talk about is going for a walk, right? So Super Sachin goes for a walk even when it's raining. Okay? So that's an easy excuse for all of us to not go for our walk, which we know is so important for our mental health, our business, our, you know, our physical health as well. But we come up with an excuse. So instead, Super Satchin would have a rain jacket and he would be prepared for the rain and he would have waterproof shoes. So he's not worried about when it's raining. Right? Because that identity is an identity that is prepared for any circumstance to succeed. Instead of complaining next, we might, you know, start talking about bedtime and sleep. So what are the guidelines that you have around sleep? So you go to bed on time even when. Right. Unless. Right. So I go to bed on time, you know, every day I'm in bed by 10pm or Super Sachin's in bed by 10pm even when he doesn't feel like it, for example, unless he's socializing with his friends and doing something that is worth him staying up late at night. So start thinking of this identity. Start thinking of how you're going to code this person and how this person is going to show up in so many different areas. So I can give you a few examples of things that I wrote down that might be helpful in inspiring you and you'll have some in the worksheet as well because you know, part of this exercise is for me to be held accountable to my own process. So Satchin, the super version of him shows up and wakes up at 6am every day, even when he doesn't feel like it. His gratitude upon rising and in each moment that he can think of gratitude, which I'm grateful for you right now. Especially when his thoughts are negative. Okay, we all fall into these traps. He shares valuable information even on days when he doesn't feel like it, even if he hasn't shaved. Because that's an excuse I use for myself. And I talk myself out of a lot of things that I could be doing in this current version of me. But the Super Sachin version of me doesn't pay attention to those things. He's unfazed by these things. So I'll have a whole list that you can reference. I don't want to sit here and read these out to you. I want you to start creating some of your own and you can use some of mine as a prompt for you. And we're going to start creating this new identity. You have about 10, 10 to 12 minutes or so to do that. And in doing so, we're then going to break you out into groups of four and you're going to read your identity to each other. Shouldn't take you more than a couple minutes to read this new version of yourself. And then your homework is going to be to continue to add. And in each, I'm just going to.
Pause it to let you all know that I put the Google Doc in there so you have like the framework and just a little more support to complete the exercise. Okay, I'll play the rest of the.
Video situation that you face from this moment forward. I invite you to ask yourself, what would the upgraded version of me do? What would Super Sachin do in this situation? And then it immediately changes the way you show up. You know, Super Sachin, for example, has tough conversations even when he doesn't feel like it. Super Sachin handles his emails as quickly as possible so that his inbox stays as close to zero as possible. So his inbox is open to opportunity. Right? It's not lost. Opportunities aren't lost in his inbox. Opportunities are front and center in his inbox because it's decluttered. You see that identity requires certain behaviors. And so then it becomes so much easier for me to sink into that behavior. And I want it to be simple for you to sink into that behavior as well when you have this personal, personal manifesto of the upgraded version of yourself. So go ahead, let's spend about 10 to 12 minutes, let's start writing things down. Don't overthink it. Make sure in certain situations you give yourself an eligible out so that you're not sabotaging yourself. You're giving yourself that opportunity to have imperfect days and still be on track for living that new identity version of you. Right. So the example I gave you is I wake up at 6am Even when I don't feel like it. Unless, you know, there's a good reason for me to sleep in. If I went to bed too late, I'm traveling, I'm in a different time zone, or there's something that requires me to get some extra sleep. Maybe I've overexerted myself. My ring is telling me I need to rest more. Then I'm going to pay attention to that because I don't want my goal to be self sabotaging in the very area that I'm trying to improve. Okay, so here's how this exercise is going to go. We're going to play some music for about 10 minutes, which should inspire you and encourage you and really pull the best new version of yourself out of you. And then once that music is done, we will break you up into breakout groups. We're going to break you up into groups of four. And in these groups of four, you're going to share your new identity. You're going to read out loud the characteristics of this person, and you're going to talk about that person as if that's the new you. Okay? So you really got to feel this, you got to own this. And your group is going to, of course, be listening, and in many ways, they're going to be your indirect accountability partners. We're going to have the person with the longest hair go first, and the person with the shortest hair is going to keep time. You shouldn't need more than a few minutes to be able to read yours out. But I want you to have a discussion. So I want each of you to divide the time up equally and then what you will do after that, at the top of the hour, you will break out into your breakout groups and we will share that link with you as well. So you can go exactly to the group that you need to, and you're going to go into your accountability at the top of the hour. So we'll end now with 10 minutes of music and then we'll break you out into your groups within your groups. You will each share, give each other some feedback, you know, have a conversation around each person to divide the time up equally, and then you'll go to your accountability groups. So have an awesome, awesome session. And I will talk to you soon. Lots of love. See you soon.
Okay, so just so for some clarity, I put the link for the Google Doc, which will help you kind of, you know, rewrite your identity, so to speak. So we'll give you guys a few minutes to do that and then we're gonna probably break you up into just partners. So if you cannot participate, if you're driving or doing, you know, passively listening at work or whatever it might be, just type me in the chat. So I know not to include you in the, the breakout. So that would be really helpful. And then after the next, you know, five to 10 minutes of giving you some time to write out your identity, then we'll break you up into partners. Okay, If you've finished, just give me finished in the chat, just so I know. And there are quite a few people that you know, are kind of listening in the background.
So for those who want to share.
What instead of breaking you up into breakouts, we'll just kind of of have you share with the group if that's okay. And if you don't want to share, that's totally fine as well. But if you're ready, I think it would be super powerful for you to share if you don't mind. And it doesn't have to be perfect, right? Like this is a work in progress. So, you know, it's something that, that you can do over time, right? You can always change it. You can shift it so it doesn't have to be perfect. Give everyone just another minute or so. Sa. Foreign. Okay, so I know many of you may not be done. And like I said, it's a work in progress. You can always add to it, you can change. It doesn't have to be perfect. Okay, so does anyone want to volunteer to share maybe a few sentences of what they wrote or you know, what they put down in these few minutes here that you had can go ahead and unmute if you want to share.
Hi, I'm Denise.
Hi, Denise.
So would it be something like. So I named myself Dynamic Denise.
Okay.
Loves cooking healthy food even when she's tired, unless she's not home.
Yeah, that's perfect. Perfect. Okay, so you can just keep adding to this like in terms of other aspects of your life and health and well being. So even, you know, maybe it's something around sleep. Right? So like, similar to the example that Satchin had gave in the video. So you can continue to add this, add to this. And then if you opened up the Google Doc, there's like, you know, A lot of things that you can consider in terms of not just your physical health, but, you know, with time management and other aspects of your life too, that you can, you know, add as you have more time to do the exercise. Okay, thank you. Thanks for sharing that example. Love it. Anyone else want to share? Amanda? Okay, wonderful.
So I looked at the document and some of them were, oh, hopefully I see myself freezing, so hopefully you guys can hear me.
Yep.
Yeah, some of them were like almost affirmation statements too.
So I did a little bit of both.
Okay, good.
But I feel like I could go.
On and on and on. But I only wrote down a few.
So I said I always make the healthiest choices possible. Even when tempted by my thoughts. I keep my bedtime routine regular and consistent unless I'm enjoying quality time with friends. I continue to steward my finances and stick within my budget unless there's an unexpected expense needing attention. I continue to pray for God's guidance in my life and choose to be obedient with my faith. I choose to address difficult conversations with grace and boldness, even when they are uncomfortable, unless I know the timing isn't right.
Awesome. I love it. Thank you. Thank you for sharing. And as you can see with the, the Google Doc, like there's so many different aspects that you can continue to add to and then this is something that's great for you to, you know, if you want to type it out eventually. Like if you scroll down to like page, what is it to the third, fourth page? Like Sachin put his typed his out. So you can always print it out and keep it somewhere where it's, you know, easily accessible or visible or even do like a shorter version. Keep it posted on your bathroom mirror just to kind of really remind you of, you know, this new quote unquote identity. Okay, anyone else want to share? Barb. Okay, go ahead and unmute.
Okay, sure, I'll share one that's a little bit different.
Okay.
And also based on the question I posted to everybody this morning about how can I use technology to best serve me. For example, this morning the Renfo app was confusing me, but I, I asked a question immediately and I took care of it immediately. So now it's, it's back on track. Yeah, so that's something I can use.
To.
To add value to my life is the technology. How am I going to use it? I love my, my Oura ring. It's great for sleep. Not so great for as a fitness tracker. So I'm thinking about maybe, maybe or not. I don't know, getting another type of fitness tractor. But I don't like the, what do you call it that, the electromagnetic field or whatever that comes with, you know.
So with the Apple Watch, you can always put it in airplane mode and just keep it like that so that like I have an Apple Watch and I never have it connected. I literally, it's always in airplane mode. I pretty much primarily use it as a watch and as a fitness tracker. I don't really use it for all the other stuff and I don't want to like, I don't want to have constant things, pinging, text and all that coming in. So I, I just keep it on airplane mode.
I didn't know you could do that with the Apple watch. Thank you. See, ask a question, get an answer. Thank you very much.
Yeah, you're very welcome. Thank you for sharing, Bart. Anyone else want to share?
Sorry, I couldn't unmute.
Oh, no worries.
My superpower name is jflo because I like everything to flow in life. So I exude and engage with positive energy. I foster quality relationships with genuine interactions. I wake up at 7 o' clock regardless of curveballs life throws me. Go for daily walks with my dogs with no questions asked. My health is paramount. It comes first when visiting with others and I act on ideas within five seconds because I'm a major procrastinator or I won't do them. So that's me as jflo.
Thank you. Thank you so much for sharing that, Joanne. Okay, awesome. So how did everyone enjoy that exercise? It's good, right? It's good exercise. So for those of you who, you know, couldn't actively participate if you were driving or whatever it might be, or even if you're watching the replay, I highly encourage you to do this exercise. It's also in your program modules, so you can always, you know, access the Google Doc and the program module. So if you go to, let me just pull up the exact module that it's in, it's going to be in the, the one second. Just want to make sure I give you all the right information. Okay. So when you log into your modules and practice better in the getting started section, it's the third module preparing your environment and mindset for the reset. So when you click on that, the video's there and then the Google Doc is there as well. So you know, if you want to reference it, if you've, you know, misplaced the link or if you're watching the replay, don't have the link, then that's where you can Find it.
Okay.
All right, so we have 20 minutes left. So would love to open up the floor to any questions that any. Any of you may have questions, comments. I know some of you are, you know, doing another round, so congratulations to those of you who are doing another round. How. If you are doing another round, how has that been? Maybe you can share with others in terms of, you know, in how you found the first round versus the second round. It's always a different experience for. For many. Anyone want to share? Amanda?
Yeah.
So I just started my first round in like, I think May, middle of May, and it went really well. I have been blessed that it was just really easy. I didn't have really a struggle at all. Like, no temptations, like, it was just very easy. And I understand that that's not everybody's experience and I can appreciate it. However, I think a lot of it was my mindset going into it. I was. I was very, very, very, very committed. Round two is going great, I might think. On like, day 10, I'm not doing the full, full six weeks. I do have a travel trip planned here at the beginning of October, and I don't want to be weighing out food on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. So I'm only just doing a 3, 4. It is going well. I do think that it is a different experience. It's a little bit more challenging. And I only say that because I've been on this health journey since like beginning of February prior to Living Proof. I had done another 12 to 18 week program prior to this, and then I hopped into this 10 week program and then I gave myself about a month and a half off and now I'm back on it. So I think in all honesty with myself, I'm getting to a point of fatigue in regards to just being on a program. However, I am very committed. I had a little whoopsie poopsie last night. I was gonna message Deepa and be like, ah. But here's the cool part is that yes, I indulged in things that were not on the release phase. And maybe this gives some of you hope or like faith or whatever that, like, this isn't about perfection, it's about progress. And the beautiful thing in all of that was I, in the moment, felt like this isn't right, it's not part of the plan. But I also accepted my choice and chose to just live in the moment and enjoy what I was eating, which is a win. I don't know. I've had an addiction with food for many, many years. And my thought process around last night I would say is a win in regards to just letting it go. Today's a new day. I'm not going to starve myself today. Like, old patterns that I would do, like, oh, I ate bad, so I'm only going to eat one meal the next day. I don't know if any of you can relate. That was an old version of Amanda or like bad Amanda. It was just, oh well, I had dates and peanut butter and some extra pork ribs with barbecue sauce. Oh my God. Like, it's not like the end all be all. So even though I had a little slip up, I'm back on the horse today. I prepped a bunch of healthy food yesterday so it's all in my fridge ready to go. But yeah, so round two is going great. I had a little whoopsie poopsie and that's okay because that's just life, you know, we're not going to be perfect at whatever we put our minds to, whether it's work or fitness or working out or going to the gym. That's why Satchin is like, unless.
Yeah.
So round two's going great and I still think it's going great despite my little digression yesterday. But hey, you, it's all about your mindset. And I think that that's the biggest thing for me in this is that the first round really shifted something in my brain. And I don't, I cannot explain it to this day, but it's like the cravings and the whatever in general are really gone or they're extraordinarily minimalized in my experience. So last night is just part of life and I, and I indulged and I recognize if I continue to do that on the release phase, this isn't going to work. So it was one day and Now I've got 18 to go and it's going to be great. So, yeah, thank you.
I love that. Thank you for sharing and I'm glad you brought that up because I came across this little like quote card on Instagram the other day and I was going to actually post it in our Facebook group and basically it reads, progress over perfection. You won't always be perfect. If you're striving for perfection, you're setting unrealistic expectations. Strive to be your best. It's you versus you. Your diet won't always be perfect. Your sleep won't always be perfect. Your exercise won't always be perfect. Your mindset won't always be perfect. Your healthy habits in general won't always be perfect. And that is. Okay. Focus on daily improvements, not perfection.
Okay.
And I think like, honestly, it is definitely the mindset that is what sustains the long term goals and the long term progress. Right? So that's why we really. I really wanted to focus on the identity exercise today because I think the main thing for many of you in the past, like Amanda had alluded to, is you make like a little mistake and you feel bad and guilty and like you do all these things to like try and erase it. And what we want you to strive towards is making more conscious choices. So like the choices you made yesterday were not like, it's not like you had like fries and pizza, right? Like you, they were healthy choices still. And you don't feel guilty or shame about it because that guilt or shame is actually going to cause more detriment to you than eating the actual food. So we make, we want you to make conscious choices, not feel bad about them. And just like she said, you get back on the horse the next day, right?
Whereas, and the funny thing is too is that like my guts like an hour later, I'm not even kidding you, like such incredible cramping, like, cramping that was so intense that I'm like, like I had to brace myself. Like I was like, this hurts me. This hurts instantly. I'm like, okay, don't want to do it again.
Like your body's talking to you, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And so instead of, you know, this all or none, like self sabotaging behavior, we just, we get back on track, right? And it's a day to day journey, right. It's, it's not a destination that we arrive at and like with say yes, we made it and then that's it, like everything goes down the drain. It's a day to day journey. It's a day to day choice that we make. And I think the main thing out of this whole, you know, program or journey that you are all on is we want you to make more conscious choices, right. Be more responsive versus reactive. Right. Things aren't always going to be perfect. Things are going to happen in our life where we may not have time to do X, Y and Z, right. But we want you to be able to make those choices from a place of empowerment rather than feeling like you're like a victim. Right. So thank you for sharing that, Amanda. Really powerful. Yeah. And sometimes, you know, when second rounds for some people, like I had a checked in with a client just today about how her second round was going and it's going to be different for everyone. Right. And her experience, she said, I'm doing good with the release phase. I find it a lot easier this time around so far. So, you know, everyone's experience is going to be different. Right. And like Amanda said, she's kind of been doing some stuff even prior to the program. So, you know, you're probably experiencing a bit of that fatigue, so to speak. Right. So that can happen sometimes too. Right. Everyone's experience is going to be unique, but I think the main thing is really the mindset shift. What other questions? Comments?
I plateaued this week.
Okay. Thank you for sharing. Okay. So that's. That's going to be normal. Right. So throughout the program, the release phase is very rare, that someone will continue to go down and down and down and down and wait like every single day. So, you know, for most people, they will experience a couple of plateaus throughout the six weeks. And if you do experience a plateau, then, you know, plateau, what we define it as, is three days of your weight being exactly the same. So if that does happen, then I always have people reflect back on a few things. Okay. Number one is, how's your sleep? Okay. Number two is, are you drinking enough water? Are you having a daily bowel movement? Right. So kind of like all the nutrition and lifestyle things, if it's like, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Then, you know, thinking back to maybe sometimes it's an emotional block. Right. Thinking back to the last time you were that weight, were you going through any difficult experiences in your life? Right. For some people, sometimes that happens. Their weight gets stuck and subconsciously they're, you know, maybe still holding on to a few things. So thinking back to maybe a time in your life when you were that weight and if. If there was anything challenging going on.
Um, for me, it was. It was stress, number one, I. And I caught a cold.
Okay.
Yeah.
I got. I got sick on Saturday or Sunday. And then I had to take some supplements, which I made sure that didn't have any fat in them to take some supplements to get over it. And. And I was less active because I wanted to give myself more time to rest.
Yep.
And then I think I ate something that had too much sodium in it.
Okay.
Yep. So that can cause some water retention.
That's what it's off to chain this week.
So.
But I did the protein day yesterday, and. And then I lost point like 0.6 or 0.8 pounds.
Okay, good.
So I'm gonna start back on the release today.
Okay, wonderful. Awesome. So, yeah, so sometimes we Will recommend a protein day like Lisa has mentioned. So protein day, if your weight is exactly the same for three consecutive days and you're, you know, trying your best to, to get good quality sleep, drink water, all of those things, then you can do 6 ounces of one type of protein for lunch and then 6 ounces of a different type of protein for dinner. No fruits and vegetables. And then if you do feel like there might be some, like, emotional block going on, then there is an exercise sometimes that I'll give to clients. It's called, we call it the crush technique. So I can put a link to that.
Let me.
Let me find it and I'll put a link to that in the chat. It's kind of uses acupressure points to help you perhaps release anything that you might be holding on to.
Nice.
Great.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
I did have a friend that I walked with yesterday that I haven't seen. She was from out of town and the moment she saw me, she was.
Like, oh, my God.
She's like, this is really working. She was so excited. She's like, I know, I can't wait to do it too. So she was like.
Yeah, you know, sometimes toad.
So I was all excited.
Congratulations.
Good.
Yeah. Sometimes when we see ourselves day to day in the mirror, like, it doesn't feel like, you know, perhaps we're seeing those changes, but when you see someone you haven't seen in a while and they make a comment, then you know that, that can really be encouraging to, you know, help you realize that, yeah, your body has changed. Right. And that's why we encourage you to also take the. The day three pictures so you can, you know, when you take your pictures on day 42, you can really see those shifts as well. Okay, I'm gna put that link in one second. Okay, There it is. Any other questions? Questions or anything anyone wants to share? Okay, well, like I said, for those of you, if you're watching the replay or if you didn't have a chance to do the identity exercise, please make sure you take some time to do that. It's a very powerful exercise and as Amanda has alluded to, I think, you know, just helps really with, with the mindset. Right. Which is what we most people struggle with long term.
Okay.
So make sure you do the exercise. It was so wonderful to see you all. Have a wonderful rest of your weekend and we'll see you all next Friday. Bye, everyone. Thank you.
Bye.
