A metabolic coach argues people waste time and money diagnosing what's wrong with their bodies when the real problem is how they treat them. Like a car driven recklessly, your lifestyle choices and habits cause most health problems, not hidden defects.
Chapters
People spend so much time and energy and money trying to figure out what's wrong with them. Imagine we spent that same amount of time, you know, just learning about how our body works and tapping into all the things that are right about us. What's also interesting is that people will go to the doctor and while they feel terrible, so I understand the sentiment, and their doctor tells them nothing is wrong and they get mad about it. Instead of saying, hey, maybe there isn't anything wrong with me. Maybe it's how I'm taking care of this body instead of the body itself. It's kind of like taking your car to a mechanic and telling the mechanic something, hey, something's wrong with the car. Mechanic drives it and says there's nothing wrong with it. And you're upset at the mechanic. What the mechanic should do is sit in the car with you while you're driving so they can understand how you're driving. And you're probably like stomping on the gas pedal, stomping on the accelerator. You know, taking sharp turns and corners and not obeying the traffic signals. So is it the car or is it the user, right? And in most cases, I would say we're looking to blame the car, but it's really the user that's the problem.
