Hi, everyone. This is Sachin Patel. And I am so excited today to be meeting for the first time face to face, beautiful face to face, Dr. Bruce Lipton. He's somebody who I followed for many, many years. When people ask me what book should I read, the first book that comes out of my mouth is the Biology of Belief. And it's by this beautiful man, just beautiful soul and beautiful spirit, Dr. Bruce Lipton. He prefers to be called Bruce. And so I'm going to try to remember that. It's so hard when there's someone you respect on the other side of this. So thank you so much for doing this. You're a super busy man. You've got an amazing passion, an amazing vision, and an amazing mission, and I honor you for that. And we're all on the same journey, so I honor you for carrying many of us under your wing. And I look forward to really diving a little bit deeper so people can learn a little bit more about you and also the biology of belief and the power that we all contain. So thank you, Bruce. I appreciate you being here.
Well, I also have to express my deepest appreciation for you for gathering an audience of individuals that are looking for another way to be on this planet. Because the way that we're living on this planet is so destructive that, in fact, science has recognized that human behavior is precipitating what is called the sixth mass extinction of life on this planet. And basically five times in history, life was thriving on this planet. And then something happened like an asteroid or comet hits the planet and wipes out from 50 to 90% of life. We are now recognizing we are losing species of organisms faster today than any of the previous mass extinctions.
And.
And it's attributed to our behavior. And so basically, we have a moment of looking up to ourselves and saying, you want to continue on this track? It's not a long run to the end. I mean, we're. I mean, imagine a thought that there'll be no saltwater fish in the ocean by 2048. And that's conservative because they anticipate actually a run out faster than that. And the idea that my children or my grandchildren is like, well, planet Earth with no fish in the ocean, that's science fiction to me. But we're facing it. And within a couple, two, three decades, we are going to be really pummeled by environment if we do not wake up right now.
Yeah. Speaking of waking up, what is your morning routine? You just walked into that one. So what do you do? How do you start your day? Because this is a big thing. If you look online, you're going to see all these famous people like Tony Robbins and all these self starters and multimillionaires and billionaires, they want to know what we do. But you, Bruce, are a trillionaire, right? You're in control of trillions upon trillions of cells, as am I, as is everyone that's listening. So what do trillionaires do first thing in the morning?
First thing we wake up and say, oh my God, we're back. Okay, another day on the machine here. So that's a good starting point. And then to get the eyelids to open up a little bit, a cup of coffee, some toast, and then right in front of obviously the computer to try and deal with so much emails and Internet stuff like that, which is actually for my life, is like, oh no, but I got to do it. So I do it first thing in the morning, let's get this thing off and go with it. So that's a routine and it's not like, oh God, I can't wait to get up and look on the computer. But I also have to say, I scan the headlines. I don't read the news, I just scan headlines. Mainly because if you take the news into your life and make it part of your life, it'll actually be physiologically a disservice to you, your biology. Because the news is like, what? So the idea is, I look at it so that if something big happened, like, you know, Canada declares war on the United States or something, I'd be aware of it, but I don't participate in it for a very important reason. And it's simply this, if I can change it, if I can be involved in change, then I'm going to be involved. But if I just have to sit there and listen to this stuff and not have any ability to make a response, what do I want to do that for? So basically detach from the things you can't change and really go deeper into anything you can, because this is your creative opportunity and to waste most of your life on things like arguing about politics when you, well, big deal, you had a nice argument, but you just used all your energy out and nothing changed. So it's like energy is life. Put your energy into productivity and health and love and life and keep out of anything that'll take your energy, divert it where it doesn't come back, because that's giving away life at that point.
That's really profound advice. So there is always a routine and there's always a corresponding reality, right and the reality is, just like you do, and just like I do, I have to check my email first thing in the morning because if I don't, I'm going to be so far backed up. And I love getting email. Like I. The only reason I found out that we were doing this is through email. So what I tell people is if you dread your email, right? Then what you're really dreading is the ripples in life that you're creating that would even allow dreadful emails to manifest. Right. So what I look, the way I look at it is email. When I wake up in the morning, I check my email and check my messages. There's gonna be positive stuff in there because I'm trying to do positive things just like you. So thanks for that.
Yeah.
All right, so in terms of what your big vision is right now, because you're obviously very passionate, what is it that you see happening in the next year? We were talking about people waking up before. What do you see happening in society and what are you doing about it? Let's talk about that.
Okay, let's begin with what's the big overriding issue? You can give me every kind of crisis because the planet is so filled with crises from health care, financial crises, business crises, you know, religious crises, everything, everywhere. And I go, yeah, those are important, but they're only stemming from a more, well, a larger crisis. And that larger crisis is really the fact that we're going extinct. And it's interesting because geologists, which give the ages to the earth and they give names to each age of the earth, actually have called the period we're living in right now the Anthropocene. And Anthro is the part about human, and it says that the geology and geography of the planet is being so altered by humans that we're altering the fate of the planet. So it really says we are throwing a monkey wrench into a well oiled machine called the environment. And people don't really recognize, you know, almost maybe from the biblical stories of Judeo, Christianity is like, well, God created nature and then just put these humans on top, you know, so nature and us were separated. That was created this way, we're created this way. And it's like, we are nature, we came from nature. If we destroy nature, we're destroying all of the foundation that provides for our existence on this planet. So what am I doing? I'm trying to get people to wake up to the reality. And I'm very happy that Donny Trump is president, not because he's president, mind you. I'm happy because someone has to get people off their bottoms, get up and do something because we cannot sit through this. This is not a passive evolution where, hey, you just sit in your house and one day you open the door and go, oh, look, the planet evolved. No, this is an evolution where each one of us, each one of us is a cell in a larger thing called humanity which is trying to form and so we're not there. I say, why is it relevant? Because it's like, well, put your energy into things that you can do and to wake up and start realizing as you are so involved with, first thing is you can start taking care of your health. You don't have good health, then as a participant in this evolution is going to be trouble. But we all have to be participants. It's not like, you know, as I said, passively sitting this one out. So my intention is to really help people see that what's happening here is not scary in the sense, oh my God, it's the end of the world. What, what we're seeing right now on the planet around the globe, not just the United States, but around the globe, is an upheaval. I say, well, where is this going to go? Well, basically, as people start to collect together to fight those forces that have been manipulating us for all these years, there'll be a coalition. And the coalition is not Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative. It's a coalition of humans trying to sustain humanity. And it says, well, you better take care of your health and we better take care of the environment. And these are the wake up calls. And this is what people are finally standing up and saying, no, I don't want your sewage from your industrial plant to be dumped into the water. Even though that has just been legalized under the new leadership. It's like that's the thing that gets people up. So anything I can do to go out there and help? And you say, well, you know, what makes you think you can help in any way? And the answer is, as we just discussed previous to the broadcast, is that we have come from different lives and moved into a different phase of life. And the different phase of life is really the self empowerment phase that says, wait, I am in control of my health and I'm in control in the world I create around me. And we have to take this and bring it in because most people have been programmed. I'm a victim of everything around me and this attack me and I'm frail and I'm vulnerable and blah, blah, blah. And it's like no, you're so powerful. And if we can wake people up to this, then there's an opportunity. Because this is a knife edge. It doesn't mean that we will succeed in this evolutionary need because we are failing so quickly and upsetting the environment so quickly. The question is, will we stop and reverse this track? Which we can do, and the realities, but it really requires that we come together as a mass on this planet. And I think that the political situation is encouraging people to stand up and to say, listen, this is not the world I want. I want this world. And so for the first time, I'm feeling very excited because if we can get the movement going, there is an evolution. It's not a revolution. This is an evolution to take us from an old way into a new way. So anything I can do to get up and try to say there's a reason why we're doing this, it's not an accident, it's scientific that there is a world change, we're in process. And if we don't adapt to world change, then we'll be just a little someplace in history, a little blip that somebody was here once. And I think we have a chance to do something.
Yes, Such profound words of wisdom. You know, the cool thing now is that even 20 years ago we didn't have the resources at the ground level, such as the Internet and ability to even do an interview like this. You'd have to normally travel, you know, to get this information out to thousands of people. And now we can do it at a grassroots level. And so it's amazing. We are more empowered now than ever before in terms of how many people we can wake up and how simultaneously this wake up process can take place. So it's, it's absolutely amazing.
It is. And people have to recognize that this Internet is not a coincidence of our technology. This Internet is a requirement. It is the nervous system of a global planetary body of cells that hooks every cell. You want to get hook in. You can hook into the system anytime. And this is why the evolution, because when the media was controlled by a small number of people, then the vision was whatever the hell they wanted to say it was. And now we as individuals, everywhere around the world can offer a video, a statement, a comment to the world system and influence. We're all voting now. We didn't vote before.
Yeah, absolutely. We have more, we have more say, right, Than ever before. So it's quite empowering. Let's talk about, let's talk about life. You know, we talked about life on this Planet. What are your thoughts on an afterlife?
Well, this is a big shock to me because I became a scientist basically when I had a choice, when I was very young, to listen to what are spiritual people and to listen to scientific people. And one thing I saw as a kid, because kids can see a lot, and one thing I saw as a kid is that the spiritual people had really wonderful words and wisdom. But if you looked at them collectively, they. They didn't live their words of wisdom at all. You know, so basically they'd say, oh, be nice to people. And then they turn around and, you know, and screw up something. And I think I, you know, great words, I don't trust them. And science to me was, like, trustable. Why? Because the scientific principle proof on this side of the planet is a scientific proof on the other side of the planet. So I thought, oh, well, these become global truths. So I got into science. Throw out spirituality. Not necessary. In science, there's a thing called Occam's razor. Don't add anything to the equation. That's not necessary. And they started to look at genes and biology as self. You know, self programming biological entities, organisms. And that was just it. Your genes come together, you're created as a living form. You die. The chemical go back. And that was it. But once I started to recognize the nature of the new biology that I experienced. 40. Okay. A long time ago. She's 1967. So 50 years ago, my research revealed that the cells were not controlled and programmed by the genes, which is what I was teaching in medical school. But my research in cells revealed that the cell expression was totally due to the outside environment. If you disconnect the cells from the environment, their ability to read the environment, there's no behavior. Actually, a cell will round up and just be a ball. But once the receptors, which are the way a cell or human sees the world, we have eyes, ears, nose, taste, touch, receptors. Once the receptors were replaced on the cell and it was able to connect to the world again, then it expressed behavior. So I started to recognize, oh, my goodness, I'm teaching medical students a story that genes control life. It is totally false that the environment is what is controlling life and that each of us is a unique entity. I can say that from a biological point of view, very simply, by saying this, you cannot take your cells and implant it into another human. Because when you do that, the recipient of those cells, their immune system, will reject your cells as not self. And all of a sudden, it's like, wait a minute, My cells know other cells they know which is my cells, and they know that there are other cells. And when I started to go into that, I started to recognize, oh, my goodness, the reason why we're each different is that on our cells as individuals, there are a bunch of protein receptors, which are like antennas, okay? And on the surface of the cell, these antennas stick up like that. No two people have the same set of these antennas. So analogy, it's like a combination lock with a large number of different numbers, you know, and then. And I say, so each of us has a code, and no two people have the same code. And so, for example, if they want to transplant a heart into somebody, you can't just take two people and put two heart, you know, put the heart in, because if the codes don't at all, the heart rejected instantly. So they call it tissue matching. They look at this, what they call an interesting word, self receptors. Self receptors, receivers of self. And they try to match up the donor and the recipient to get as much of a crossover of the code as possible. The more you cross over, the less the rejection. So I say, so what does all this come down to? And I say this. The self receptors are on the outside of the cell. They're receiving an identity from outside the cell, not from inside the cell. And so I'm a broadcast. And my cells are receivers of the broadcast because they have antennas. And an interesting experiment is you can take cells out of your body, move them 40 miles away in a laboratory, and have the electrical readout like, like EEG of the cells and bring it into this room where I am. And the cells are 40 miles away. And if you can elicit emotional response from me, my cells 40 miles away instantaneously will have a lot of electrical activity expressed with the emotion. The point is very simple. The point is this. My identity is a broadcast. If my cells are in two places, they still respond to, you know, it's like two television sets receiving now the broadcast. Okay? So basically, if I was just affecting my own cells with my own thoughts, then only my cells in my body would be affected by an emotion. But my cells 40 miles away are affected by my emotion, which means, well, then my consciousness is not just focused here, must be at least 40 miles away, because the cells responded. So those kind of things in the study about the self receptors convinced me personally that there was a mechanical understanding that I was a spiritual entity, a broadcast from the environment that was being picked up by these receptors of self. And then I'm playing through this body. And this is really a basis of epigenetics, meaning our genes are controlled from above the genes, and now we know consciousness. And then I go, wow. If you change your consciousness, not only do you change the interior of your body, but you change how you respond to the world exterior. So your consciousness is creating an interior expression and an exterior reality. And when I started to recognize, I said, oh, my God, we came here to step into these suits. I say, why? Why step into this suit? And the interesting thing about it was I started to recognize that all the senses, sight, sound, touch, smell, love, pain, fear, are the result of a body cells and its nervous system and all that. I say, so why is it relevant? Because spirit is an energy and awareness. But spirit has no ability to feel. It can have memory to learn from a previous experience. But a spirit says, well, I'd like to feel love. And it's sort of like, well, oh, you need these. And so basically we jump into the suit. It's a virtual reality suit. I go, well, that's cool. Because now that I can, I'm in the suit. My eyes are translating into vision, my hands and legs and the movement and all that. And so I'm sending information to the suit. Move this way, move that way, and do this. And the suit, my cells are sending back an experience. Oh, it's cold out, it's warm out, it's beautiful, it's rainy, whatever, you know. And I'm. And that information is translated by the nervous system. So let's say I see something. I say, oh, so my consciousness is seeing something. I go, no, no, because when you look at the optic nerve, there's no picture in there. It's an electromagnetic vibration. All nerves are creating electromagnetic vibrations. Whether it's touch or smell or taste or sound or whatever it is, it's turned into a vibration. The brain reads the vibration, but more importantly, the brain also broadcasts the vibration. Because I could put wires on your head and you can say, oh, I could read your brain activities called eeg. But there's a new device called MEG magnetoencephalograph. And the probe is out here. And I say, why is it relevant? Reading your brain activity from outside not touching you, and all of a sudden, oh, then your thoughts are broadcast. I go, yeah, because my source is coming in through the antenna and my body is sending back to source. And so I have an experience of being in this body. Now, the problem is, if you confuse your identity with your body and forget your identity, then you're only the body. I'm just the body. But if you understand Your identity in the body. Then you, it jumps up to a level that is so profound and says this, why are you here? And the answer is very simply, this. Because this gives me an opportunity to experience. I could have experiences with this. Oh, wait. But I can also create with this. Oh, my God. We all came here as creators. We create our lives, but in our programming in childhood, we are disempowered from our own programming ability. And in that case, we become programmed by other people. And most of that programming. Psychologists will tell you that programming occurs in the first seven years. As the Jesuits well knew, most of that programming is disempowering, self sabotaging and limiting. So it says, oh my God, you came in as a powerful creator. And in the first seven years, the first thing you were programmed with, you have no power. And we lost it because every one of us is a creator. So it changes my whole life as a scientist. I was caught up in the mechanism. Then when I saw the mechanism was actually a response to a broadcast, first thing it happened, it's like it was instantaneous. I was like, my life changed. I mean, tears came out of my eyes and everything. Because when I realized that instant, it only took an instant to look at the mechanism to, oh my God, I'm not in here. And the first thing that got to me, you can't die because you're not in here. And it was like, oh my God, I'm immortal. And then all that ancient literature about reincarnation and spirituality and everything became to me secondary nature of science. And so I bought spirituality through science, not because of devotional belief. And the beautiful part is keeping away from the people who were selling spirituality. Just owning spirituality means you behave differently on this planet and you walk without fear. Because the fear that we get, and this is bottom to everyone on this planet as children, the day you learn about mortality, the day as a child they have carefree, totally carefree, no problem in their world at all. And then they learn someday, oh my God, people die. And then first the first fear is my parents are going to die and I'm going to be here without my parents. But then ultimately it comes around and says, wait a minute, I am going to die. And then all of a sudden, you don't realize it, but underneath every bit of processing you do in the world, underneath that subconsciously, there's a tremendous amount of energy going into what? Being aware of everything in the environment, because everything could be a threat. It's not in your conscious mind. Hey, I'm looking for where the threats are coming from. No, that's subconscious job. And it spends a lot of energy looking at everything to assess whether something's a threat or not. And good to support you. You know, it's like trying to protect you. And then I said, what did I experience? The first moment, the instant, I mean, I'm not spiritual. And I then understood this mechanism of how the membrane was translating environment into behavior. And I said, oh my God, I'm on the outside, I can't die. And all of a sudden it hit me how peaceful I became because all of a sudden the fear of death was. If it happens, I just hope it doesn't have to have any agony to it. You want to just die. You know, I love my vision as the guy who goes to sleep and they wake, you know, they look him in the morning, he's dead, but he's got a smile on his face. He went to sleep and then went back to source again.
Cool.
That's cool. And I have a dear friend, Anita Moorjani. A dear friend and her story and her healing. A testament to biology, I believe, if there ever was one. Wonderful. Because Anita and I have talked about the nature of the non physical existence that we have. And if you can start to recognize that and then you say, then why are you here? And the answer becomes really much more fun. I'm here to create. I said, what do you want to create? What do you want? I create what I want. And what am I creating? Well, I'm back to the garden. I love the garden. I love the people, I love the plants and the animals. I walk on this planet and I go, look how beautiful. I have an opportunity to be here. And the whole world changes from a previous non spiritual point. And I don't want to say spiritual in a sense. Well, it's just a devotional belief. No, no, it wouldn't have been. I wouldn't have bought it for devotional belief. I already threw that out. I bought it because personally, this is what I saw. Am I right or wrong? I can't tell you. When I die, I'll find out. But here's the point. Between now and the time I die, I'm not worried about it anymore. If I'm wrong when I'm dead, well, that'll occur after I'm dead. So it won't make any difference.
No power of doubt.
The power is now and make the best and healthiest life. And that's why I'm honored to be with you. Because I know that your work is to give People that empowerment to have a healthy life and recognize they are very important in the control of their own health and biology. And that's what I'm trying to do as well.
Yes. You know, there's so much resonance in our message and our practice is called Living Proof. So to kind of speak to your spiritual encounters or, you know, there's a lot of mysticism and there's a lot of misconceptions about things and everything, every word has a stigma attached to it. So certainly when you say spirituality, you think of people that are folded up into pretzels, buried halfway in sand and meditating all day. Right. Whereas the reality is, is that it doesn't have to be that, because we can show spirituality through science. And now that we've got the instruments like the magnetic eeg, we can measure these things, we can quantify these things. And for us, it's all about leading through example. Just like yourself, you know, here's how I live. He's happy. What's he doing? Right. His patients seem happy. What are they doing? I want that.
Yeah.
And so we try to change people's reality by changing what they think about, how they think about things. And of course, as our, as our departed friend Wayne Dyer says, when we change how we look at things, the things we look at change. And so all of this is such a huge part of living your best, healthiest, happiest life. So with that being said, I want to talk about, you know, some. Some people will talk about experiences such as these profound awakenings that can occur in the presence of plant medicines. And this could be things like cbd, thc, ayahuasca, psilocybin. Do you want to comment on that? Is that something that people can turn to if they're looking for that wake up call? How do you feel about that?
Here's what's really important. Number one, these substances which affect us psychologically like that, we talk about the substance coming from outside of us. I'm going to have to tell you very simply this. These substances cannot affect you if you didn't already have receptors for these substances. And you don't build receptors with the possibility that someday you would take this substance, you build these receptors because you already have the ability to make these substances. Okay? And so I say, well, in making these substances, you know, to influence ourselves, I said, well, one way is to really get in control of your consciousness. And doing yoga and meditations is a way to elicit this response. I go, yeah, this is really good. And that for many people, this Is a beautiful pathway. Okay, take this pathway. And then I have to go and say, but for a lot of people and the caught up lives and the lack of time and all this stuff, could I suggest to them, okay, listen, do the, you know, the practice and you'll get there. I could suggest that, but the likelihood that they'll do it is not going to be very likely. And then you say, well, what about something like ayahuasca or psilocybin mushrooms and stuff like that? Like the psilocybin I really love because in the pharmacology textbooks they say there is no adverse consequences of these things. And in fact, the psilocybin as a pharmacological agent is recognized as to be very helpful to the system. It takes away ego and it brings you in contact and community with everything around you. And so it's really interesting because pharmacology is like all the negative things. And then when they get the psilocybin, there wasn't any real negative things to it. It was basically how the positive effects on our psychology and all that. I say, well, good, what's the point? I could do a natural psilocybin equivalent, okay, and I could do it, but it would take me maybe years of meditation to be able to control my own chemistry production. And he said, yeah, but here you can have some magic mushrooms. And I go, well, what does that mean? He said, well, I can have this experience now. And I say, why is it important? Once you have the experience, you own the experience. If you're practicing to try to obtain the experience, you will not have that experience until you get through the level of the practice. And I said, this is great. This is historically what people have always done. But then I say, well, like psilocybin has historically been used as well, Especially like in South American cultures. It was a phase of growing up into adulthood is to expand your mind by adding these things. And once they expanded their mind, they were much greater human beings and living organisms rather than living in a closed mind, which most of us have. So the question is this, do these agents work? And I say, yes, they work because we already have the ability to manufacture within ourselves the equivalent of those agents, because the receptor that's there must respond to something that we can make. And I say, well, then there's two ways to get to that experience. One, you can do the process. And because we haven't been, well, let's say, programmed as children to get into the process, it's very difficult for people who have not been programmed to try to get there. So then they make a hard work program. I'm not going to do all the appropriate things. And then I say, well some guy just said, well look, I just had some of these mushrooms and I got there. And so the reality is I don't care which way you get there, it's getting there. And in a time like today where we're against the clock, then I don't care. If that's what it takes, and damn it, do it. Because if you can awaken to who you really are, that is the key for our evolution. If you stay locked in your head that you're a victim of circumstances and a victim of the world and a victim of your heredity, whatever genes you got, you are expressing total disempowerment. And we don't need that right now. What we need is everyone to get their power. Because the mass majority of people who are awakened all want the same thing. And that's beauty and love and harmony in a garden. And therefore, if you can do it, if you can wake up, just wake up. I don't care how you do it.
You know, a lot of people I find these days who come into our office are suffering because they're not aligned with that creator in them. You know, they're creating somebody else's reality or what they think their reality should be. And I found historically that people who we find are in that position, we tell them to quit their job. Those that do move on to live an extraordinarily different life than somebody who just keeps plugging away at that life that's been essentially created for them. Right? We have this whole infrastructure that's been created for us. The scholastic system is created to then supply slaves to the corporate industries which is then designed to pay people money so they can buy stuff that they don't need and can't afford to impress people that don't care. You know, we see this and be.
In debt and be in debt because once debt, then they own you because you're not free anymore. Because and then you look around, you see everybody with these credit cards that have a debt that's so massive, like I can't get out of the system. Look at all the debt. It's like, congratulations, they own you in the system right now. And this is a wake up call that says you are free, creator. And if you get, you give away your power. And the question is, would you give it away knowingly or was it taken from you? And so I'm going to have to just acknowledge it was primarily taken from us because people who awakened then rarely give that power back to anybody again. So you have given away your power without any knowledge that you were doing that. But unfortunately, those people who assume the powers have the knowledge that they're taking away your power and operate from that principle alone. And that's how you can get 1% of the population of the whole world to own more than 99% of the population. Because, oh, I got on the side of the programmers, I know how to make it now. And it's like I'm trying to wake up. You're in a program, you know, get out.
All right, yeah, we should create and give away our passions and then instead of our power. And people are not creating their passions. They're not giving away their passions, they're keeping them bottled up, and then they're freely giving away their power by the way they live their life. You know, it's quite unfortunate. So another question for you, which is literally out there in outer space, what are your thoughts on life on other planets? I. Can I kind of get an idea of where you're gonna go with this, but I'd love to, love to hear it from you.
It would be almost the most impossible thought in the world to imagine that we're the life on this, in this universe. That'd be like crazy thinking. The reality is when you start to see something, what we call in biology autopoiesis. Autopoiesis is how you can put molecules together and they will sort themselves out and create structure and organization. It happens automatically. So the idea that you think that any creation requires some God to touch something to make it work, the chemistry alone will make it work. So all you have to then say, well, what's the possibility there's a place with a similar chemistry in a similar environment? And I go, then the size of this universe is so unimaginable, you could say, oh, it's really big. It's like you can never even imagine how big it is. The inevitability is it would be insane to think that we're the only planet with life on it.
Yes, I agree. I totally agree with you. What do you see as the future direction of healthcare? You know, our philosophy and our practice is that the doctor of the future is a patient themselves. And I know you're big on personal and self empowerment, but where do you see the healthcare model moving to?
Well, let's call it what it is. It's called sickness care. It's not called healthcare. Sickness care means you don't Come in until you're sick, and all of a sudden, well, now we have to fix something you haven't paid attention to for a long time. Wellness Care is, if I keep you running smoothly, you'll never have to face that. So the difference is, as you're saying, where are we moving? We're moving from sickness care to wellness care. And Wellness Care says, look, why do you take your car to get a tune up? Because if you don't get a tune up, it's going to break down, it's going to be on the side of the road, and then you're going to have all this problem. I say, well, why did I take it a tune up? To make sure it keeps running well. I'll say, well, then what about a body? I say, the body's a machine. You want to take care of it, take it to get it tuned up. If you let it slide and break it, it costs much more to repair the damage than it was to prevent the damage. And so definitely there's a movement to functional medicine, complementary medicine, whose principle is, we didn't come here to fix the broken part. We came here to enhance the power. The empowerment part that says, you can control this and you can take care of it, but, hey, you have to eat well, you have to think well, you have to be in harmony with things. These were not part of our program. And in fact, I believe they were specifically left out. There's a great movie that, of course, I've used a lot of pieces of a long time. It's called Sicko by Michael Moore. And it was about health care and all that. And it was interesting because there was an interview with a British parliamentarian by the name of Tony Benn. And Tony Ben just straight out came and said, as a member of Parliament, he said, governments do not want a healthy, intelligent population because they're very difficult to control. And then I look at the world because Now I'm over 70, and I look at the world when I was young and look at the US Which I was very proud of, because when I was a kid, we were doing good things and we were ahead and we were smart and we were the leaders and innovators and everything, and we were healthy. And then I look at us today and it's like, oh, my God, we have become one of the sickest nations in the west and unfortunately, one of the least intelligent nations in the West. And I go, what a coincidence or accident? I go, no, it was already the intention of the system to disempower you so for me, this is a part to say, wait, I want my power back, because I don't want to be sick. And if I have power, then I don't have to be sick, because sickness mainly starts up in the mind. 1% of disease is connected to genetics. 1%. Where's the rest of disease coming from? And the answer is environment and lifestyle. And I go, oh, my God. Those are two elements that I can control. If that's the source of disease and I can control it, then damn. Well, if I know how to control it, then I don't want that disease. And that's where we're going. And that's why your work and the work that I do, the same kind of work, is to wake people up and say, you have been programmed to get sick because genetically, 99% of you shouldn't have any issue with staying healthy.
Yeah. You know, the three things that we believe are purposely left out of the school system is how to grow your own food, how to count and balance your own money, create money, and then how to stay healthy. And those are the three most lucrative industries in our society. And it's not by coincidence that these things are left out of the curriculum, in my opinion. We got to keep the economy moving, you know, and if everyone got healthy.
Learned how to grow their own food.
And learn how to balance their checkbook, the economy that we're in would literally crumble because we've set up infrastructure for it not to succeed when people are healthy, happy, and are capable.
There's a very interesting story. It was in Pennsylvania. They were passing a bill that said. I think it was a Pennsylvania representative who brought in a bill that said if people live a healthy lifestyle, they should get a discount on their insurance. And it got voted down. It got voted down. It's like, who voted it down? You ready? The lobby. The lobby that voted down was the American Heart association, the American Cancer Society, and the Diabetes. Those professional organizations voted that amendment down, claiming that, well, not all people have an opportunity to get healthy. So, you know, what about those who can't get healthy? You know, it's like. It's like what they denied people being motivated to get healthy because if they got healthy, the business is gone. Yeah. And people. And people think. And we should really just, you know, make a moment, because this is both of our interests right here. There's a word called human, humane, humanity. Any of those combinations with the human part in there. What is the. What is the basic definition that is concerned with human. And humanity is compassion. And I Go, okay, now let's see if medicine today, the medicine industry, is compassionate. And I said, well, how would you check? And I said, well, first of all, they sell stocks. And I go, wait, wait. If it's a corporation and they sell stock, the primary rule by law, by law of a corporation is to make a profit for the shareholders, whatever the hell they do. That's second, third, fourth down the list. Number one rule. Number one rule of a corporation is that the leadership should do everything in the world to make a profit for the stockholders. And I go, okay, wait, so they have a health insurance. Not insurance, health stock, health care stock and pharmaceutical stock. I go, what's the function of these companies? To make a profit? I go, where are they making a profit from? Who are they making a profit from? Sick people? So how do you make a profit from sick people? You charge them more than the services are worth, and the excess is called profit. I go, wait a minute. Humanitarian means being compassionate. Kicking a person when they're already down, if they're already sick and now you kick them to make a profit out of that, by definition is. And here's the word, inhumane. Humane is being, you know, having that compassion, not having compassion, inhumane. So if I had to find medicine right now, I'd have to say, unfortunately, the profit motive makes medicine inhumane because people are making a profit off their people being sick. And the more sick people there are, the more profit there is to be made. So why make people healthy? Because the whole industry would lose the money. Is it a small little industry like a shop around the corner? No, it's one of the top industries in the entire global corporate market is the healthcare industry. And it's that big that to keep it profitable, then that many people must be sick. And now we know that it's only 1% is genetics, and we know that the other 90% is lifestyle and behavior. Lifestyle, behavior. As I said, we can control that. Instead of the doctor saying, well, here's a. Here's a drug because you have a lousy lifestyle, it's not good for you, but here's a drug so you can keep your lousy lifestyle. It's not healing. Healing is you have a lousy lifestyle. And your issue is because of that. And if you want me to help you, then here's what you must do, because this is the understanding. You're in charge. And if you think you can just keep a lousy lifestyle and cover it up with a drug, which almost everybody thinks, or you're fooling yourself and you got caught in a system and, and you're paying for drugs and these drugs in the end, hey, listen, look, I think the number is only about 18,000 or so people die every year from illegal drugs in the United States. And we have a war on drugs. And the fact is this. Over 300,000 people die from taking pharmaceutical drugs. And everybody ignores that. It's not really relevant. It's like 300,000 people die from taking those drugs. It's okay. 18,000 people die from taking. Oh, now we have the war, these drugs. It's like, boy, that's just divert your attention away from where it's over there, where the problem comes from.
Yeah, actually, a friend of mine posted about this, and I jokingly typed back, and I said, they'll tell you there's only 18,000 deaths because they have a war on drugs. Right? So to them, they're doing their job.
It's a game. And if you, if you can just step outside the box long enough to look back inside the box and see how the game is playing, played, you'll see that the game is rigged against the average person and makes them slaves to the financial system because everybody owes money. So I'll take that job even though you're only paying me half my value. I need something. So people are taking less and less in salary because they owe more and more. And the factors, they are getting themselves deeper into a hole and can't get out. And then. And they're controlled. And it's like, ask a guy who was in that world and saw that world and gets out. And you say, well, you know, you're not in the regular structure. I go, thank God I'm not in the regular structure. I have a much better life out here than those guys in the box.
How do you envision this change occurring? I personally envision it coming from the bottom up versus from the top down. But for doctors and practitioners that are watching this, you know, what's their role in all of this? Because they're kind of caught in the middle, right. They have standard of care to follow. They have insurance reimbursements. I teach people how to get out of the insurance reimbursement model. But what are your thoughts on that?
Well, my thoughts are really particularly this. Where are you getting your education from, number one? Number two, having been a professor in a medical school, things that I had taught back then that I know were absolutely wrong are still being taught. And there's a point that we're getting being programmed in the medical community by something called the ama. The American Medical association makes policy. Well, here's an interesting thing for all those doctors out there. I think it's about 85% of the doctors do not even belong to the AMA. Most of them have a dislike for the AMA. And I go, yeah, but they're controlling your work and your philosophy and everything you do. And they're tied into the pharmaceutical industry. The AMA and the pharmaceutical industry are in bed with each other. So are we getting medical advice, education, and support free of pharmaceutical industry influence? The answer is no. It's all controlled by pharmaceutical influence. And so the idea is, then what are you. You're a working person to facilitate the sale of drugs. And when you prescribe a drug, standard procedure is someone comes in with something. Let's say it's a virus, which you can't deal with. I mean, there's. No, not necessarily a lot of antivirals, and they come in with a virus issue, and you have to write a script for them for a reason. Is if they come in for a treatment and you don't offer something, then by law, there's like, oh, they get sick and worse, and they come in and sue you. I went to the doctor. Doctor didn't give me anything. And therefore, the doctor's at fault. So the doctor avoids being at fault by writing a script. I said, for what? Well, you got a virus infection, we'll give them an antibiotic. And I go, but antibiotics don't work for that. And it's like, yeah, but if they take it A, placebo effect, my word, or B, I'm covered. Why? Standard operating procedure. If I assign them that antibiotic, then I am liable and all the next thing you know is, who are you working for? Oh, I want my license. Yeah, but who's checking on your license? The people who created the rules that make sure you are an agent of an agency called the pharmaceutical agency.
Yeah.
Out of the box. Out of the box.
Maybe that's. Maybe the psilocybin. This is where the psilocybin comes in, right? Get outside the box.
Yeah. You know, and psilocybin, of course, is like anything that is natural and effective, there's a law against it. I don't want you to have that. Okay? And, God, if it opens up your brain and your mind of thinking, that's the last thing I want you to have. Basically, there are, you know, hey, look, I can understand things about heroin and morphine and stuff like that. Pot, psilocybin, cbd. It's like, what, are you kidding me? Those are healthy. And even the pharmacology textbook say so. And I say, yeah, but there's strict laws against them. The laws aren't because they can chemically affect your medicine, your biology, your health. The laws are because they open your mind. And if your mind gets open, then you can't be programmed. And so I say, we have to, we have to get out of the program. And it's interesting, very simple, because almost everybody's seen the movie called the Matrix. And I said, no, what? Matrix is not a science fiction movie. The Matrix is a documentary. Every one of us has been programmed. And every one of us every day takes the so called blue pill. You take the blue pill, you wake up and you're in the program, and life is just the way you expect to see it. And then they say, but if you offer the red pill, the red pill, you get out of the program. And I say, almost everybody's out there has already taken the red pill. Didn't even know it. I said, when did they take a red pill? You ready? When they fell in love with somebody. I say, what do you mean? I say, the day before they fell in love, in the years and weeks leading up to that, they could have the worst stinking life and planetary experience that you could ever imagine. And then they meet this one person and by the next day it's like, life is so beautiful. It's heaven on earth. I love my life. Look, I'm having a great relationship and I'll this stuff and things work out, they get healthier. I mean, the chemistry released by a brain in love is chemistry of absolute health. Why? Because people say, oh, look, see how in love they are? See how they glow? Like a glow? That's their health. Why love brings health into the body, okay? And I said, but how come life could suck every day? And then you meet this person. The next period is called the honeymoon, which is heaven on earth. I say, what happened? And the answer was we stopped playing the programs. For the first time in our lives, there's a period where we call ourselves being mindful, being our conscious, keeping it present rather than thinking is when we think is when we automatically revert to autopilot subconscious. Where the bad programs are, if you stop thinking for a period of time, then you're in constant control with your conscious mind. Your hands are on the wheel, you're driving the vehicle, okay? I said, well, what happens when you drive the vehicle and don't play the program? I said, well, the one time you actually stop playing the program is when you fell in love and say, what was the consequence of that? The moment you got out of the program, you created heaven on earth. And guess what? When thinking kicks back in because life requires it, no matter if you're on a honeymoon or not, every as you start thinking, you start playing more autopilot. And that's when those honeymoons fall apart. Because all of a sudden the crap behavior you haven't played because you've been on the red pill and you start now playing those programs you haven't played. Those are the programs that undermine and sabotage your whole life. Okay? And I say, and what was the consequence of not playing the program? I went from hell to heaven on earth. And the fact is, well, maybe you could see then that it's the program that has gotten us there. And what you can do to get out of it is the only way to free yourself up.
You know, I read my. I mean, that's so deep, that's so profound. And I, and I know the people watching this are gonna get it. You know, I wasn't, I wasn't ready for this message 10 years ago. So I'm glad I'm hearing it now when I'm totally receptive to it as a parent. I've got a six and a half year old boy, so he's coming up on that seven year subconscious programming window, if you will. And I read your book many, many years ago. So I've been speaking to him like an adult. I read, you know, books like the Secret to him, Biology of Belief to him Think and Grow Rich. So I'm kind of un programming what he learns in school. Yeah, I treat him like an intelligent, you know, as the cosmic jewel of the entire universe because that's what he is. And I empower him that way as well. But what do you, what advice can you give to parents who are listening to this? Because really we want to wake up, but we want to change our children as well because then they can carry forward this message as well instead of falling victims to the program.
Well, absolutely. This is the difference of what we're. Power or disempowerment is what is the thought of the child and say, yeah, but what the thoughts of the child are programmed during the first seven years. And I said, well, how they program, they observe the parents and the family and community and just download. They're in a state of hypnosis. Whatever they're doing, the kid will do. And that's why some parents, myself included, when my kid first used an explicative bad word, it Wasn't just a word in a conversation like just pass by. They used the word in the fullest, intense meaning of exactly the way when I used the word. So not only did they just copy the word, but they knew exactly how I used it or whatever meaning I had at that moment. And when they said those words and I looked at them, I almost had to laugh. It's like, wow. But the reality is, so what does it mean? Children are recording parents. And then here comes the issue. Conscious parenting is what you were doing is most important because it basically says, wait, do not put thoughts or beliefs into the child's brain of that you can't do something. Because the moment you tell a child they can't do it and the program is recording, there's now a subconscious program says, whatever it is, I can't do it. I'm not deserving. I'm not good enough. I'm not lovable. Parents say these things not because they want to say, this is the way you always will be. They're just saying at that moment, you're a pain in the ass. And their belief is that by saying, well, you don't deserve that. Let's say kids crying for some toy in a store, and they say, you don't deserve that. They don't recognize that the child isn't fully comprehending. Child's just recording. What does the child record I don't deserve? If the child is over 7, let's say 10 years old, and then doing the same tantrum over the same toy, and the parent says, you don't deserve that. By then the conscious brain is kicked in and the child hears the words, but also puts it in context, oh, I'm delaying them from going home and I'm being a pain in the ass. And that's why he yells at me. But if the child's under seven, the conscious part isn't there. The record part is there. I do not deserve. And then when we're older, 95% of our life is coming from those subconscious programs. If there's a program I do not deserve, then the function of the mind is to. To manifest the program and we will unconsciously sabotage ourselves. It turns out 95% of our life comes from the unconscious programming. So just as a caveat about conscious parenting, I say to myself, consciously, I'm going to be a conscious parent. I'm going to be so cool to talk to my kids and give them all the great empowerment, things like that. And I go, and how much of the day will you be conscious Parenting. And the answer is not more than 5%, because you'll revert back to your own subconscious programming. And they will have the same programming that you got that your parents got, that your grandparents got, because it's been passed from family to family to family. And so the reality is, if you're going to be a conscious parent, you really have to go back and recognize you came in with programs that probably conflict with conscious parenting. And if that's true, the 95% of the day, 95% you will be playing those programs and totally unaware that you're playing them, except for your kids, who is a 100% record records 95% of your subconscious and 5% of your conscious. And as you invert that, you can have your child download 100% of pure consciousness. If you hacked yourself in. 100% pure consciousness.
Yeah. And the first language is action. Right. So they can't speak a single word, but they can see what you're doing. They can feel your electromagnetic.
The input and outputs are different. The output takes a development of muscular coordination and all this stuff, how to move your mouth and make the sounds and the talk and all that, that's a muscle requirement. The input comes in much faster than the ability to express output. So while the kid is not talking. Oh, they don't understand, they're not talking. It's like, no, no, they're recording. They're recording everything. They will learn talking later, but the programs are now already being downloaded. If you think the child. Just because they're not talking doesn't mean they're not understanding. It's like, no, everything has been recorded from the time they were in the womb. And that's how parent a father can talk to a fetus, talk to it. And when the baby's born, the moment the father opens his mouth and talks, the baby will know which one was the one that was talking through. You know, and so it's like, well, they learned that in utero. So it's like, yeah, the learning starts in utero. So it's very important to recognize that this child is recording from in utero times through seven years. And you are the model. And if you're unaware of your 95% of your behavior that might be self sabotaging you, then unconsciously, you have just programmed your child's unconscious with the same program. Yeah.
And you know, when I became awake to this, I realized that it's interesting because we talk about 95% of function happens from our subconscious brain, which we pre programmed from our family. Members between generations. Maybe that's where the family history is more important. Not genetically, but subconsciously.
Exactly, exactly. Because then they talk about your family history and they say, oh, you got cancer running your family. Oh my God, you have a cancer gene. And then next thing you know is, oh my God, I'm a victim because I have genes of cancer. And then so let's put a simple reality. They followed the fate of kids who were adopted into families with cancer and they found that an adopted child will get the same family cancer with the same probability as any of the natural siblings. Point. That adopted child came from totally different genetics. So family cancer wasn't a genetic continuity, it was a programming continuity. And that's what we're beginning to find. Less than 10%, I think, of cancer as any hereditary linkage. It's programming. Wow.
Amazing. Profound. This is. Man, I could talk to you for hours. Is there anywhere where you're speaking live or anywhere where people can find live events that you're hosting?
Very simple, very simple. The website, simple brucelipton.com and on that is a schedule calendar of all different speaking events. But there's also a lot of freely downloadable audio interviews, video, written articles, freely available to scan the website and pull out what you can. So that while we're talking and we're obviously lightly going over this, there's a very heavy scientific foundation which is built. And this is not the format right now to get deep into that science. Except for the fact that, oh yeah, there's a science behind this. This is not just new age. Woo woo.
Yes. And that's where people get hung up, right. They don't realize that they're very science driven. And this is science driven.
Right.
We now have the instruments to recognize, you know, these realities and quantify them and measure them. Just I'll kind of ask you this question just since I bring it up. What are your thoughts on devices like HeartMath and Muse, which measure heart rate variability and EEG activity? Do you use any of those or do you recommend any of those?
I don't use them. I recommend them. You know, look, I started a long time ago reprogramming stuff, so before devices were available. Devices are very helpful because they're feedback, right? So you can see, am I engaging my neural activity in a harmonious way, like heart math, for example? Am I putting my mind and my heart together and bringing the two together was where the power comes from. We can record this. And since you can record it, you can also then see. Are you applying it? I'm trying it. Is it working? How do I know? Look at the needle. Tell you if you are not. So devices are great feedback because they give you right away physical information about a process you're trying to acquire that has no chemical test. I can't see. Did I just increase my consciousness? No, I can see it in the electromagnetics, but not in a physical test, right?
Yeah, these, you know, that's one of the things that we recommend to our patients. We recommend that they start out with an HRV monitor or a MUSE device so they know what they're doing and experiencing is what's right for them and actually reading the biological response that they're trying to engage in, and then they can take off the training wheels. And my theory and my philosophy is that, you know, if you meditate for half an hour a day, but you're a jerk the rest of the day, you're kind of. It doesn't work right. So it's. It's living a meditative state and just living in that heart and mind centered, soul centered way of life. I think, I think you would you probably agree that that's probably the best advice that you can give somebody 100%.
Because when I first started, I just talked about the technical details, the knowledge that I was talking about how you can manipulate your life, control your life and all that. I was talking as an academic, I was talking about, oh, here's the science, how it works. And then people look at me and they go, you know, your life doesn't look that good. And then it was like, why? And I started to realize, because if I just kept it as an academic awareness. Ready for a test? You want to give me a test? I get 100. It was irrelevant to my life because I was not engaging it, because my subconscious was not programmed with those beliefs. So. And my life was being rubbed by my subconscious. That's when I realized, you want to have power back? You have to reprogram the subconscious. And now that there are such wonderful, fast, rapid ways of rewriting this, this is very exciting because it says you don't have to take months and months to change the way you're living. You can do it in a matter of minutes sometimes. So this is real exciting because we are against the wall in regard to are we going to thrive or not even survive the next 10, 20 years coming up as the environment does an uncoupling based on how we're messing with it.
So you mentioned Anita Moorjani and her book Dying to Be Me is a fantastic book. Your book, the Biology of Belief, the Honeymoon Effect are fantastic books. Are there any other people that you follow or any other people that you suggest that are listeners or books that they read or people that you look up to? Obviously, that's something I want to know.
Yeah, well, there's a physicist, Jude Curravan, C U R R I V A N. She has a book called the Cosmic Hologram. And what's why I'm encouraging is because she's a physicist and it's talking about everything that we're talking about. So all of a sudden it's like not just some biology guys or a health guy, but this is fundamental mechanisms of the universe. So the Cosmic Hologram is a great book for those on the web. A dear friend of mine, his name is Prince ea, Capital E, capital A, Prince ea. And his messages are so profoundly important to the world and delivered in such a way that people can really get it and grok what he's talking about. I think over a billion hits on YouTube. He is really reaching a massive part of the world. And the reason so is because his message is so beautiful. So if you have an opportunity to look up Prince EA and listen to his story as well, because it's wonderful information on surviving on this planet.
Yes. I follow him on Facebook and I get his motivation daily. So thank you. Thank you for those recommendations and suggestions.
Yeah.
Well, Bruce, I want to be respectful of your time. I know you've got another interview later today and I'm sure you want to enjoy that beautiful sun that's outside as well. So I honor you. I thank you for sharing this journey with me. And thanks for your time. Thanks for your knowledge. And I'm hoping at some point we can do this again because I know there's. There's an evolution that's taking place. And six months from now this could be a totally different conversation and I'd love to hear your progress. So thank you so much. I will direct people to your website. I will direct people to the recommendations that you made. And I love you, brother. Thank you so much. You don't know how much of an honor it is to be here on this call with you.
Well, as I said, I'm deeply appreciative because each of us, especially yourself, because you really touch one on one, each individual and that we're waking up by that it's going to be a contagion of awakening. You have to touch somebody who has to touch somebody. And therefore I deeply appreciate your efforts because you have dedicated your career to getting people out of the hole and creating the world that both of us are looking for. Because we both know there's a better future in front of us right now.
Well, yes. Thank you. Thank you so much. And let's do this again.
I would love to. Thank you, Sachin. Thank you.
