In this first‑person testimonial, Kat Perkins, a health‑and‑wellness professional from Wilmington, Delaware, describes how the Living Light Metabolic Coach program forced her to prioritize her own health and became a turning point in her struggle with chronic joint and bone pain, undiagnosed inflammation, and chronic Lyme disease. After years of inconclusive medical tests, age‑related dismissals, and ineffective conventional and alternative treatments, she enrolled in the program. The program’s holistic, personalized model—combining genomic testing, food‑as‑medicine, strict hydration, optimized sleep, joyful movement, coaching, and an online community—gave her a comprehensive picture of her health. She overhauled her diet (eliminating snacking, eating only what her body needs), tracked her daily habits, and learned that her Lyme‑driven inflammation was the root of many symptoms. Within weeks she noticed improvements in pain, strength, confidence, and overall activity, enabling her to engage more fully with family and work. Kat emphasizes that the program’s mandate to plan weekly self‑care has become the greatest gift, fostering lasting lifestyle changes and a renewed sense of empowerment.

My experience with the Living Light Metabolic Coach program has been really phenomenal. It has actually mandated that I focus on myself and my own health. Even though I want to take care of everyone, including my family members, if I don't take care of myself, if I'm not healthy, I can't be the best version of myself. So this program mandates that you do planning around your own health every week, every day. It mandates that you take care of yourself, and that has been the greatest gift for me. I'm Kat Perkins. I live in Wilmington, Delaware, and I work in health and wellness. Being healthy is important to me because I want to live a long, healthy life where I can enjoy time with my family, where I can do the things I want to do without pain, without discomfort, without having to think, can I actually physically do this or not? As I go through my regular day or great life experiences. I was having a lot of issues with my joints. With my bones. I had some testing done. There were some things happening, but they couldn't give me a diagnosis. I met with medical practitioners who said things like, "Well, you know, you're getting older. Maybe you just need to accept that this is how your life is going to be." And the idea of living with a lot of pain, with a lot of discomfort, with not being able to play with my grandson, without being able to care for my mother, without being able to do all kinds of things that I wanted to do, that's not good enough for me. And so I went searching for something and I wasn't sure what I was searching for. And eventually I found the Living Light Metabolic Reset. Then I got on a call and the person actually listened without judgment, responded based on what I had actually said, not, I don't know, some prepackaged script or something. And I checked into it a little further and I decided to go with the program and just trust in the process. You know, I did traditional medicine. Lots of tests were done. They said, there's something going on with your body, with your bones, with your joints, but we just don't know what it is. I talked to a sports medicine doctor. I tried some Eastern practitioners like acupuncture and acupressure. I tried massage. But nothing was really working, making me feel better. And then I tried this program. I had genomic testing done, so I was able to look at what was going on from a genetic standpoint, but I was also able to integrate some things that had happened to me. I have chronic Lyme disease. I was able to really get a big picture of what was going on with my body, with my health. When I discovered the Living Light Metabolic Coach program, it did take a broad holistic view of the person. There was a lot of self-direction rather than somebody telling me what to do. The second part that made sense to me was food as medicine. You're looking at some really foundational, fundamental things around health like Hydration, nutrition, sleep, and joyful movement. And all of those things made sense, and they all seemed the foundation for a great life. And so I started there. Immediately I noticed changes, but some of them weren't ones I liked because I was really flipping my diet. There's no in-between-meal snacking in this program. Many of us eat, we eat a lot, and we're not actually nourished. So this was eating less, but it was eating exactly what the body needs. It's a simple program. It's a straightforward program, but it is a challenging program. There was also a website where you knew that you weren't alone, that there were other people who were doing this, or there were other people who had been through the program. And because I was recording everything, I was able to think about, okay, now what was I doing before? What am I doing now? How is my body really feeling and reacting? I had a coach. Thanks to this program, I have realized that my chronic Lyme disease has created a tremendous amount of inflammation in my body. I realized that a lot of my joint and bone issues are related to inflammation. And so I've been able to sort of craft a lifestyle that leaves me feeling stronger, healthier, more confident, more active. Even though I thought my biggest challenges were around food and nutrition, sleep is also a big focus. Just like I go to work, I need to focus on sleep as one of those foundational pieces to a good life.
