Using the Power of Your Subconscious Mind to Improve Your Health 6 Step Into Limitless Possibilities

Dr. Brandy Cummings, a functional medicine doctor, explains how your unconscious mind drives 95% of your thoughts and beliefs, while your conscious mind accounts for only 5%. She connects limiting beliefs to unresolved trauma and offers tools like meditation, journaling, and the Emotion Code to reprogram your subconscious and shift your health.

Welcome, welcome everyone. Happy Friday. Welcome Wendy, welcome Harshi, welcome Robin. And as you're tuning in, let me know what you're grateful for today in the chat, and we will get started here shortly. So as you're tuning in, let me know what you're grateful for in the chat. Welcome, welcome everyone. As you're tuning in, let us know what you're grateful for in the chat. Okay, Harshi says health. Robin says friends. Shelley says she's grateful for her work colleagues today. We've had some good conversations this morning. Jennifer says her father-in-law's 80th birthday tomorrow. Wow, what a great milestone! And if you're able to, uh, we'd love to see your beautiful faces. I'm just going to put another reminder in our group. Michelle says, celebrating my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary this weekend. Wow, lots of celebrations this weekend.
Awesome.
Okay, so as you're tuning in, let us know what you're grateful for. And we'll get started in just a minute. Irina says joyfully returning to myself. Awesome. I know you've started the program, so hope it's going well for you.
Good.
Okay, so thank you everyone for being here today. Today I have a very special friend and we have a very special guest speaker today. We have Dr. Brandy Cummings, who is a doctor of clinical nutrition. She's also trained in functional medicine and a former blackjack dealer. And she really learned how to read people long before she learned to read labs. So Brandy helps practitioners dissolve the emotional blocks, identity conflicts, and nervous system patterns that silently sabotage not only professional outcomes, but clinical outcomes, too. Um, really excited to have her here today. I'll let her share a little bit more about her story as well. And welcome, Brandy! Thank you for being here.
Hey Deepa, it's so good to see you.
Good to see you too.
So hi everybody, I'm fighting a little bit of a cold, but so thank you for being with us regardless. I know, I'm sorry for my voice today. Appreciate everybody's patience. Deepa, should I just dive in? Should I just go for it? Yeah, you can dive right in, yep. Okay, perfect. So I'm Brandy and I opened my functional medicine practice in 2016. So about 10 years ago now. And over the last several years, what I was noticing is these patterns where people would get stuck or they would start to loop, or maybe they would get some results and then they would go back to where they started. And it wasn't in the arena of health. I started noticing people were looping in all areas of their life, their relationships and with their finances and with their careers. And I'd love to know in the chat, like, if that resonates with you at all. Like, if you've had a time in your life where you feel like you were just trying to do all the things, but there was just something missing, or you kept looping, or just kind of struggled to break off of this, you know, perpetual hamster wheel. And then I started noticing that I was also having those same type of results in my own life. And as somebody who works in functional medicine and was helping all of these people, I was like, man, I'm missing something here. And, um, I'm going to literally every day, girl. That's why I started this program.
Okay.
So good. So good. Okay. So I'm going to share. So if you look at these, like, especially picture number 2 and 3 here, um, This is what I look like. And I was carrying all of this inflammation on my body. And I was— and I like, remember, I was a functional medicine practitioner. Like, I knew all of the things and I was eating right and I was moving my body and I was focusing on my circadian rhythm and I was practicing gratitude. And I felt like I was like doing all of the things. And I was like, something is missing here. What is going on? Why can I not figure this out? What is happening? And so that's what I want to talk about today and just kind of help bring some awareness to— I'm going to stop sharing for just a minute. Um, if any of you have felt stuck and to help you get off of that hamster wheel yourself, if that resonates. So both personally and with my patients, the hamster wheel is real, and boy does it feel great when you finally jump off. Yes, yes, yes. Okay, so for me, I really started diving into the power of the mind and the power of the subconscious mind, and what I really learned is that For me, I was hanging on to over 3 decades of past trauma that was influencing every area of my life. It was influencing my behaviors, it was influencing my beliefs. I had really strong protector parts that were coming out. I had really strong people-pleasing parts. Like, tell me if this resonates as well. And I was presenting myself to the world in a way that was not in alignment with my true self or with my highest and best. And I was hanging on to all of this inflammation that was really emotional and energetic. And so, so often we can be hyperfocused on what I call the physical plane. And that's amazing and gets— and is so helpful and so important. And sometimes there's more things under the hood. And so I want to I'm going back and forth with sharing because I can't like see your faces when I'm sharing, and I like to see your faces. Okay, so we have our conscious mind. This is 5% of our mind. This is our logic, our reasoning, and our creativity. And our conscious mind is our goal setter. We can consciously say, I want to lose this much weight, I want to make this much money, I want to attract this type of partner, I want to do whatever it is. We consciously can set that goal. And then we have the unconscious mind, which is the 95% that is actually running the show. So this is our programming, this is our belief systems, this is how we react to things, our our skills, our behaviors, our buying strategies, our routine thoughts and feelings, our beliefs, our values, our attitudes. All of these, all of this makes up our unconscious mind, and this is our goal getter. The results that we get in our life so have so much to do with all of, all of this stuff that's under the hood, that in the 95%. And so Sometimes we don't even realize how our subconscious mind might be holding us back or keeping us stuck or keeping us looping or keeping us on the hamster wheel. And so often we have limiting beliefs around what's possible for us. We have limiting beliefs around our health. And these beliefs are not even really our own. These could have been— we could have picked these up from other people. So for example, in the area of health, this is what I hear all the time. Things like, oh, every woman in my family has thyroid issues, right? So we're presupposing that we are also going to have thyroid issues. Or in the context of money, like how many of us grew up like money doesn't grow on trees, you have to work really hard to make enough money, and or money is the root of all evil, right? These aren't necessarily your beliefs, but we've had all of this programming that we've picked up throughout our life. And then if we have significant emotional events that have happened and traumas that have happened, All of that impacts our programming in our subconscious mind, which is our goal getter. So based on whatever we've got under the hood, if we have this emotional baggage, these limiting beliefs under the hood, it makes getting results in the physical world with the conscious mind that much more difficult. So it's as if running with a parachute on your back running against the wind. That's really hard to do. And when we can clear all of that out, we can reach down and unclick that parachute, and it makes anything in the physical plane so much faster and so much easier. And so one of the things— this is like part of the reason why I love and I resonate so deeply with all of the work that Deepa and Sachin do is because they really get this. They understand frequency, they understand the nervous system, they understand the importance of circadian biology, they understand connecting to the earth, right? They get this, that there's more than just supplements and food. And so I want to talk about today specifically going deeper into how we can kind of help get our subconscious mind in alignment with our conscious mind so we have integration between the two, and then we can achieve our goals so much faster and more effectively. Okay, so let's just lay a little bit of some foundational information here. We have anywhere between up to like 60 million bits per second of information coming at us. 11 million. The, the numbers vary across sources, but millions of bits of information per second coming at us. We grab on to about 134 bits per second of information, and then it goes through our filters in our brain. And then that impacts our state, our frequency, how we're presenting ourselves to the world. That state impacts our physiology, it impacts our behavior, and then it impacts our results. So how we filter the information coming into our brains is something that's so important for us to have awareness of. Because how often— I want you to think about this and be really honest with yourself. How easy is it for you to be kind of knocked off kilter? Like if, if you get a phone call and you had these plans and now these plans aren't working, Does it really spin you out? If you go to work and your coworker annoys you, does it really spin you out? Do you spend time ruminating on it? How easily are you triggered? Do you have family members where you're just like, "Ugh, I can't, they drive me crazy. I don't want to talk to them." How grounded are you and how easily are you triggered and kind of knocked off kilter? And if it's very easy for us to get triggered, or it's very easy for us to— I'm going to kind of jump around in my slides here. It's very easy for us to be in a fact, which I'll talk about in a minute, that is going to impact our internal representation of how we're doing, our state, our frequency, impacts our physiology, which impacts our behaviors, which impact our results. So let's talk about cause and effect. All of us go in and out of cause and effect all of the time. The problem is when we stay stuck in effect. So when we're stuck in effect, this is a victimhood mentality. This is blaming others for the results that we have in our life. This is continuing to look outside of ourselves for answers versus when we are at cause, we are taking radical responsibility for the results in our life, we are taking massive inspired action, we're willing to look in the mirror and clear out what is inside of us that is no longer serving us. This is exactly where I was. I was stuck. In fact, I was looking for all kinds of answers outside of me. I had all types of reasons and excuses why I wasn't, I wanted to be. I will point finger and blame others. Ah, it just said I was offline, but I think I'm here, right? Still here.
Yeah, you're— it's—
is it a little bit choppy for you guys?
Yeah, it's a little bit choppy, your internet.
Hmm, maybe if I stop sharing, it'll help. Does that sound better? Yep. Okay, I can also turn off my video for just a second and see if it catches up. So when I was in that state, I kept looking for answers outside of me. And this is one of the most important lessons that I learned that I want to share with all of you today is this idea of perception as projection. When we have situations in our external environment that trigger us, that bother us, that we wish weren't true, it is a projection of us. It is just a mirror for us, and it's an opportunity for us to look inward and clear out whatever emotional or energetic baggage or programming that we might have on a subconscious level so that We can let that go. And so often people are doing all of the things to try to find answers in their 3D environment to make them feel better. Oh, if I just do this, that will make me feel better. It'll make me feel loved. It'll make me feel chosen. It'll make me feel worthy. It'll make me feel whatever it is. And we forget, like we kind of lose ourselves in the process and we lose, we forget that everything that we need is already inside of us. Yeah, Irina, I turned off my camera just to let the bandwidth catch up. I'll pop back on in just a second. One second. Once— so for me, once I stopped looking for answers outside of me and started realizing that everything that I was unhappy with in my life, all of the results were actually just a reflection of me. And once I was able to take radical responsibility for the results in my life, and look inward and remember how much power I had inside of me, and there was nothing outside of me to go get, and I was willing to start clearing that old programming and old traumas and dramas out that were no longer serving me and integrate the parts of me that were causing me to show up in the world in a way that was more fragmented and not in alignment with my highest and best, That is when everything shifted for me. And I went from those pictures that you saw on the left to the pictures that you saw on the right in 90 days. And I didn't change anything about my diet, and I wasn't taking supplements. I would— my body was finally getting to a place where it was able to release all of that emotional inflammation that it was hanging on to, which was incredible. And for me, it was like, that's the realization that I came to, is like, at some point, we have to stop trying to bypass doing our work, right? And look inward and remember all of the power that we have inside of us, and to get honest about what is in that 95% that could be keeping us looping. What types of thoughts? What types of limiting beliefs? What type of language are we using? What do we think of when we first wake up in the morning? What type of— how are we interacting with the people around us? All of that influences, again, our state, our physiology, our behaviors, and then our results. How's my internet doing, Deepa?
It's good. Yeah, it's not— it doesn't seem as choppy.
Okay, I'm actually, I'm actually working with a client, uh, like a VIP client, so I'm like in the forest. We're doing like a 3-day breakthrough, so I don't have great internet because I'm literally in the forest right now. Okay, so I would love to know in the chat, like, where in your life— and I would love for this to be interactive. I want to be as helpful as possible. Like, let's knock some dominoes down and help you get over whatever hump may— you may be stuck at. So where do you feel in your life that you are looping? Where are you looping? Where are you stuck? Where's that hamster wheel?
Who's going to be courageous enough to share?
I know. Let's, let's dive into this. And, you know, once I really figured this out and started implementing this work with all of my clients, When we, when we do this, this important, deep subconscious work, everything that you're doing on the physical plane works better and faster. It's such a gift. It's like I said earlier about reaching down and unhooking that parachute. And then all of a sudden, you're off instead of trying so hard to run against the wind.
I'll share. Um, I feel like I— and I, I feel like I have one door, like I have the door open to the new Shelley, but I still have one foot in the— that I'm, I'm trying to close that door, and I have one foot still there that pulls me back. And that, that probably— that pertains to, you know, like you touched upon the money part, but it also touches upon like my personal journey with food because, you know, the old programming, food was love. So if I had an emotion, I was given food. I'm never able to express what was going on inside and feeling my feelings. So I've become very attuned to that. So I like the word awareness because I can catch myself and I know when, when, you know, I need— maybe I need to go outside or maybe I need a hug. I, I'm better at that. So I, I've I've worked with that. The other part is that I, I do coach women, and it's always been like a side thing for me in terms of fitness. That's where I started, was fitness. Then it, it moved into the nutrition part because people kept asking me about food. And then I, you know, again, light bulb— the mindset was huge because just as you're saying, if they have this old belief in this old programming, they're not going to lose the weight, they're kind of change what they eat. Um, so then, you know, I keep going, so I keep exploring all that. And I mean, I followed Deepa and Sachin for a long time to help myself, so I've always been a firm believer I'm doing the work and I need to— like, I'm a little bit before the, the client that comes to me, for example. Um, but where I am right now, and I, I still work full-time in HR, so even my, my day work kind of helps me with people. Um, I want to, I want to retire, and I, I'm so passionate about this work, but I, I just, I'm still holding back a little bit. Um, and it's that confine of, you know, having a paycheck every 2 weeks and the money thing, right? Um, and the money thing is huge for me, and I keep looking at all the money I've put into myself as an investment But then it's like, okay, if you have to show somebody on my balance sheet right now, it doesn't look very good. So if we're looking at the 3D and we're looking at numbers, so I have all this kind of going on for me right now, and I, and I am feeling the push like to go out there, and I, and I still haven't really done— I still have— I have a couple of clients that I coach, and I got certified as a menopause perimenopause coach. So I've got all these books and all this knowledge, but it's just, it's not coming out. And I know I have to get out there. So there's my story.
Thank you for amazing. So, Shelley, what do you think is holding you back from stepping into the highest version of yourself? What's the story? What are the thoughts? What are the limiting beliefs Is it just that it's— is it like leaving the safety of the paycheck? Is that the big thing?
Well, I believe that's there. And I also believe my shadow, like, I can— in the roles that I've had to do, I have been confident. I have been able to get up and speak and do all that. But the shadow or the part that is behind me is that little one that keeps saying, no, no, you come back over here. Like that. You're not the one right now. And, and in some cases, so again, my ability to speak up, um, and then that goes back to like asking for my needs, um, so the people-pleasing part, all of that. So, um, yeah, like, and it's the speaking up part. Like, if I go out and start talking, I like I believe I have like, um, like a fire hose inside. Like, there's so much that needs to come out, but I step back, um, because it's that little one that, um, she, she may— I don't know if she doesn't feel safe or—
yeah.
So I think that's kind of where I'm at.
And this is so common, right? We have these strong protector parts that are there to keep us safe. And but they also keep us in our comfort zone, right? When it's like, whoa, whoa, whoa, Shelley, where do you think you're going? No, get over here where we know. Maybe the results are not what we want, but we know what they are. And it's safe and comfortable over here. Get back over here. What do you think you're doing stepping out on that, on that ledge, right? And a lot of times, you know, thinking about an energetic component here around speaking up. Also, you know, so much tied into our throat chakra and using our voice and our thyroid and all of the connection there. And for women especially, I don't know about you, Deepa, but I see this a lot where it's like, when did you first feel that it was not safe for you to speak up and to use your voice and to speak your truth? And to stand in that truth. When did— when was that first time? Might not have even been in this lifetime. It could have been passed down epigenetically through the DNA. But all of that can get cleared out so that you can step into your power, remember who you are, and make decisions in alignment with your highest and best. So I want to just— I want to I want to talk about one more concept, and then I want to give you guys some actionable tools to kind of help you start working through this. So everybody has an ego. The ego is how we interact with this 3D world, and which is really important. And there's a shadow side to the ego. And whenever we are in the shadow side of our ego, We are not seeing ourselves the way that— insert whatever word resonates with you— God, the universe, source, spirit, whatever it is. We are not seeing ourselves the way that God sees us. How do we know when we're stuck in the shadow side of our ego? Anytime there is any lack, attachment, or control. And the emotions that are tied to lack, attachment, or control— and I really encourage all of you to like write this down because I'd love for you to like journal on this later. Lack goes with sadness. Attachment goes with anger. Control goes with fear. Anytime we are operating from a place of lack, attachment, or control— sadness, anger, fear, respectively— we are stuck in ego, which means we are not acting in alignment with our highest best. And so for lack, oftentimes this is a lack of self-love or a lack of feeling worthy, a lack of feeling chosen, a lack of being heard, whatever it is. And to be clear, it's okay to feel emotions. We are human. We are spiritual beings having a human experience. Feeling emotions is important. We do not want to repress and reject. And how, how long— if something happens where we feel sad, how long do we want to feel sad for? And there's no right or wrong answer. You choose whatever you want. But remember, there— I'm going to pop my video off again because I'm getting a warning. Um, there is, in the quantum field, there is no future and there is no past. There is only an will ever only be the perpetual now. So the question is always, how do I want to feel right now? Do I want to be sad? Do I want to make a different choice? What am I lacking and how can I give that to myself? So when it comes to lack, oftentimes we are looking for things outside of us to make us feel loved, worthy, chosen, successful, accomplished, whatever it is. We must learn how to give that to ourselves first. Once we learn how to give that to ourselves first, then all of your 3D environment has no choice but to recalibrate, and you're going to start attracting all of the love or whatever it is that you felt like you were lacking before. Attachment goes with anger, which also under anger could be frustration, irritation, annoyance, bitterness, resentment. Anytime we're feeling angry or frustrated about something, there could be some attachment there. What are you attached to? What outcome were you attached to? And then fear— when we're coming from a place of fear, we are trying to control our environment, right? Trying to control the outcome. So I'd love for you to just think about like, which one of these resonate the most? Where do you feel like in your life, you might be stuck? I just got done with a 3-day breakthrough that I mentioned here with a client. It was incredible, it was the most miraculous thing. And she realized that so much of her behaviors her whole life were coming from this lack of being chosen that went all the way back to her parents, her grandparents, how she interacted with her children. For me, it's control in the most— for the most part, but I have worked through that, but it still shows up sometimes. Yeah, so then the question is like, okay, what are we afraid of? And once we can identify where we're stuck in ego, lack, attachment, or control, just bringing awareness to it is the huge biggest first step. Because it makes it easier to start taking radical responsibility for the results in your life when you can identify where you're stuck. And remember that everything in your 3D is a projection of you. This client that I just worked with, she was very angry with her stepdad, very angry with him. And she said, she said, why doesn't he love me? And we went through this whole thing about lack of attachment or control, and I'm explaining this all to her. We talked about perception is projection. And I said, now knowing what you know, what's the answer to your— like, she was mad. She was like, why doesn't he love me? And when we worked through all this, she was like, oh, It's because there's a part of me that doesn't love me. Once we learn how to give that to ourself, your 3D environment has no choice but to recalibrate in alignment with this new frequency. It's never about the people, the things, the circumstances in our external environment. That is all just a projection of us. And when we can take responsibility for that and look inward and remember our power, raise our frequency, clear out our baggage, surrender to doing the work instead of trying to bypass it, then all of a sudden our 3D environment has no choice but to recalibrate in alignment with our highest and best. And that's why I said when you do this work everything on the physical plane works better and faster because it's just your 3D environment recalibrating to be in alignment with this new frequency. Does anybody else want to share like where they feel stuck or where they're noticing they're in a place of lack attachment or control or an area of their life where they're in effect. It's easy to be in effect. It needs to be like, oh, well, if my husband would just do XYZ, or if I just had a different job, or it's the economy, or it's my genetics, or— it's easy to be in effect. But the second you can make a different decision and turn inward is the second like everything shifts and we actually can get off that hamster wheel.
Anyone want to share in the chat?
I know it's a vulnerable thing. While you guys are thinking about being brave and sharing, I want to— oh, go ahead, Irina.
I have a very interesting example just recently happened to me. We decided to downsize for retirement. We were looking for a house and we found the one, but it wasn't 100% what we really was looking for. And the day we were supposed to sign for it, there was nothing else that we could find according to our needs. And the day we were supposed to sign, In the morning, no, the day prior to that, suddenly I had a realization of the person way back in my life, many years ago, that I never thought I unforgive or somehow reconcile inside of me feelings about that person surfaced with the understanding that I have to be grateful to this person and everything he's done, even though it seemed like the wrong thing at the time, but it led to me today being able to reach high awareness and connection to God. And through a lot of what happened after as a consequence. So I really felt grateful, instantly forgave that person, and felt unconditional love to him. And guess what happened that morning? I thought, hmm, let me— next morning when I was supposed to sign, let me search. Maybe there is something else that I can find without realtor. And this house, beautiful house, came. Not even a house, the subdivision came right beside where we were looking. And I reached out and they called back to me and said, yes, we have a house for you. And the house was more than perfect. All my lists before that, I said, this is the house, our dream house we want, and this is what we want in it, this is what we don't want in it. It's all checked out. On top of it, there were other things, and more and more everything just presented on a silver platter, to the point the president of the construction company who is doing it said, oh, you want to move the window? I'll move the window for you. No charge. Like, everything, everything is unbelievable. It's, it's a gift that I know once we do the inner work, we'll— you'll start to receive. And that was instant. Well, overnight, basically. It was unbelievable.
I love that story so much, and I love, like, leaning into the possibility of how good things can get and how fast things can shift. So I want to give you guys some actionable items and ways to start thinking about this and bringing awareness to this. So number 1 is to bring awareness to your language. Your language is constantly sending messages to your subconscious. Conscious. And your subconscious mind does not process a negative. So if I ask you to not think of a purple elephant, you're immediately thinking of a purple elephant.
Yes.
So if we wake up in the morning and our very first thoughts are, uh, I don't want to go to work, I don't want to do XYZ, I wish I wasn't bloated, I don't like the way I look, my husband is driving me crazy, whatever it is. If we continue to focus on what it is that we don't want and what we're unhappy with, we're going to continue to call in more of those things. So number 1, bring awareness to your language and focus on what you want. So when I have a new client and they tell me, oh, I don't want to be in pain, or I don't want to be bloated, I don't want to be overweight, whatever it is, I say, thank you so much for sharing that, and what would you like instead? We must start shifting to focusing on where's the carrot versus running away from the stick. So anytime you notice yourself having a negative thought about something that you're unhappy with, something you wish was different, start to practice bringing awareness to it and then in real time ask yourself, what do I want instead? Oh, I want to be able to eat a meal and not, you know, and be comfortable afterwards. I want to be able to get on the floor and play with my grandchildren. I want to be able to go on a hike. I want to be able to be in a loving relationship with the partner that is in alignment, whatever it is. I want to make X amount of dollars in my coaching business, or whatever it is. What do you want instead? And as you're focusing on what you want, the next part of this is to get aware, bring awareness to what type of limiting beliefs do you have around what is possible for you. And if you want to put in your— in the chat. I'd love to know, like, where, where's that line for you? What do you think is possible for you or not? Where are you limiting yourself? If you could have a magic wand and you could create your 10 out of 10 life like, think about, like, where you would live and what you'd be doing and what your hobbies are and how much money you'd have and what kind of impact you'd be making, where you'd be traveling, your experiences, whatever it is, this 10 out of 10 life. If you could think about that and then think about What if that was just a 2? How much better could it get? It's so easy for us to put ourselves in a box. It's so easy for us to expect the worst. What if we went through life expecting miracles and acting as if What if we went through life expecting the best possible outcome? What if we went through life not putting ourselves in a box and being open to the limitless possibilities that are possible for us? Because in the quantum field, all of these realities are already happening. It's already done. And being able to tune into the frequency of that reality comes from inside. There's like bugs landing on me. Did I mention I'm in the forest? So number 1. Get aware of your language and where you're using negative language. Catch yourself in real time and ask yourself, what do I want instead? Then get aware of anywhere in your life where you have limiting beliefs about what is possible for you. Then get honest with yourself about where you are in effect and where you're stuck in the shadow side of your ego. Where are you operating from a place of lack, attachment, or control? Just bringing awareness to this is like the biggest first step, and it'll be so much easier for you to course correct in real time because so much of these Thoughts are unconscious. We're not consciously choosing. We don't wake up and be like, hmm, I wonder how many negative thoughts I could have today. These are unconscious behaviors. And when we bring awareness to them, we can course correct in real time and start to send new messages to our subconscious mind. So that we can be in alignment with our highest and best. I'd love to know, like, if somebody wants to share, if you have any questions, or like just thinking about this, what this has brought up for you. Because several of you were like, yes, I totally relate to looping and being stuck on that hamster wheel. And now thinking about this What kind of dots have you connected? Like, where do you feel like you're in effect, or stuck in lack attachment or control, or any unresolved negative emotions, which would be anger, sadness, fear, hurt, shame, and guilt that you feel like is holding you back? And I love Irina's story that she shared because it's so true. It's like this, from my perspective, this is the great work. Being able to look inward, take radical responsibility for the results in our life, continue to clean the inside of our cups is the greatest work we can do. And it makes everything that we want to happen in the 3D on the physical plane happen faster and easier. And check in with yourself. How do you feel like you're in rapport with your body? Do you— where— like, do an integrity check. Are you in integrity with your body? Have you been trying to bypass, you know, looking inward at any of this? For me, I 100% was doing that. I was looking for any kind of answers in my external environment. Oh, if I just do this, if I just invest in that, if I just choose this, that'll make me feel better. And the moment I chose to turn inward instead is the moment everything changed. And everything is you pushed out. And then all of a sudden I lost 45 pounds in 90 days. With no, no, you know, no supplements, no medications. My body got to a place where it was safe enough and regulated enough to release all of that emotional inflammation that it was hanging on to. No questions? Nobody wants to share?
Quiet group today.
I know. Well, it is hard when, you know, somebody's asking you to look at your— look at your stuff. Yeah, be honest what kind of stuff you've got under the hood. And we've all—
yeah, I think sometimes it's like just, um taking some time to reflect on some of the things that Brandy has brought up, because it is hard to sometimes pinpoint where we're stuck. And we might not have the answers immediately. But I think that framework that you gave of lack, attachment, control, and what feelings it correlates with, really thinking of you know, those feelings that you often experience, whether it's sadness, anger, or fear, and then correlating that back with that pattern that you're kind of stuck with. Michelle's saying, what type of tools do you use to help you? Journaling. Great question.
So, when I'm doing this work with my clients, I have a huge amount of tools that I use, but some of the most common ones, um, doing a lot of parts integration to integrate, you know, those parts of us that can be keeping us fragmented, inner child healing, hypnosis, past life regression. I use a tool called Quantum Time Technique, which is working with our timeline to go back and clear out unresolved negative emotions. Really, these tools have helped of clearing out that programming in the subconscious and then reinstalling new programming that's in alignment with our highest best. Yes, I have heard of Emotion Code. And journaling is so helpful. So this is— let me, let me just give you a journaling prompt, if you will, if you're open to it. So once we start doing this work, we start to realize that we are not our thoughts and we are not our body, right? We are spiritual beings having a human experience. They can, they can measure brain waves with a magnet without even touching your head, which are your thoughts, right? If they can measure your thoughts without even touching your head, we realize we are not our thoughts and we are not our body. And so often we get so sucked into identifying with our thoughts. And when we can zoom out a bit, it helps us come from a place of neutrality and not get triggered and to bring more awareness. Remember, awareness is key, the key first step, so that we can choose how we want to feel. Remember, there's no past and there's no future in the quantum field. There is only and will forever only be the perpetual now. And how do you want to feel right now? So a great exercise to start to practice this idea of bringing awareness to your thoughts, I call watching your thoughts. So you set a timer for 5 minutes. You sit there or you lay there and you ask yourself, What is my very next thought? You grab a thought and you let it go. Okay, what is my very next thought? And you grab a thought, you let it go. And you keep doing this for 5 minutes, but inevitably you're gonna get lost in thought. Here's what's gonna happen. You're gonna grab a thought. I gotta go to the doctor's today. Oh, while I'm on that side of town, I might as well loop through and get the car washed, and then I'll and then I'll stop at the grocery store and we're gonna have meatloaf for dinner. And then I will call my mom on my way home because I told her I would, da da da da da da da. And all of a sudden you're going to be lost in thought. That's okay. You're just— recognize as soon as you're lost in thought and then reset. You don't have to reset the timer, just reset. Okay, what's my very next thought? And the goal is to get to the full 5 minutes without getting lost in thought. And when you practice this like a muscle of grabbing a thought and letting it go, grabbing a thought and letting it go, you become much more neutral and able to remove yourself from your thoughts, bring awareness to them, and then ask yourself, how do I want to feel right now? And then whatever thought came up that was the most charged, journal on that thought for 5 minutes to give yourself an opportunity to kind of dump your bucket and get it out so you're not ruminating on it.
Yeah, this is one of the reasons why we start a lot of our Q&As with, you know, some sort of meditation or mindfulness. Like, one of the analogies that I'll use is like with regards to just turning inwards, paying attention to our thoughts is we really want to— the analogy you want to use is like you want to stay on the platform of a train station and watch the trains go by, but you don't want to get on the train. Right. So the more you can practice staying on the platform, observing the thought, letting it go, observing the thought, letting it go, and not go into a downward spiral with the thought. Like Brandy said, You know, you want to get to a point where you are, you know, 5 minutes in without like going down that, getting on that train, so to speak, right? So the more we can stay on the platform, the more we can observe the thoughts, the better, right? Sometimes people think, oh, I can't do meditation because I just have all these thoughts. Well, that's not the point of meditation, in my opinion, is not that you want to eliminate your thoughts. It's that you don't want to become so attached with your thoughts. And you want to become more of an observer of your thoughts. So, yeah, so great tools. Thank you so much for this wonderful session today and sharing your wisdom. Super helpful. This is a very, very huge topic. So I invite you to share, you know, to, to dive a little deeper into Brandy's work. I've put a link there where you can follow her on Instagram and learn more about her work. Um, and just, you know, take this time this weekend to, you know, dive a little deeper, you know, do some of the practices that she's suggested here as well. Because, you know, if we don't do that inner work, then, you know, the external things that we're constantly facing are going to just keep coming up. So thank you so much, Brandy, for that amazing topic. Michelle says, thank you so much for the information. Joanne says, thanks a bunch, Brandy, for sharing. Love the topic. Heading over to follow now and dive a little deeper. Awesome.
Yeah.
So yeah, go follow Brandy. And any closing thoughts?
I would love—
I just want to say thank you because personal work I've been doing, and I do it daily, and just the thoughts And sometimes I giggle because I catch them and I'm like, okay, who's showing up? And I thank them for showing up. So thank you for bringing me back to, yes, I'm in the loop and my awareness. So thank you, Brandy, before work.
You're so welcome. And I run my Instagram and I would love to have, like, real conversation with you guys. So feel free to send me a message on Instagram. I'm like, I'd love to know like what came up for you. Where did you figure out you were stuck? Lack attachment control? Where you would affect? And I would love to just hear your feedback from what came up. So feel free to message me over there.
Thank you. Yeah, I hope you feel better and enjoy the rest of your weekend. The forest is super healing. Of course, you know that. So hopefully, um, you, you feel better.
Thank you so much, Deepa. So good to see you.
You too. Have a great rest of the day, everyone. Thanks for being here.
Bye, everybody.
Bye.
