Good afternoon, everyone. Welcome, welcome. Hope you're all having an amazing day so far. And as you enter here, let me know what you're grateful for today. You can type that in the chat and if you're able to, would love if you could turn your camera on. Would love to see you all. Welcome, welcome, welcome. Terry.
Welcome.
Barb.
Welcome. Cheryl. Welcome.
Ed.
Welcome. Le. Welcome. Kelly and Nadia.
Okay.
Lee says grateful for the beautiful fall colors today. Yeah, they're really changing now, so it's really nice out there. We went for a walk this morning and got to see a lot of those beautiful fall colors. Okay, so give, let's give everyone about another minute or so. I'm sure there might be a few other people that are joining us today. And then to get started, we are going to do a little bit of a body scan, meditation or mindfulness, whatever you want to call it because I think everyone needs a little pause in their day. So we'll start with that in just a minute here. And once again, you can go ahead and type in the chat whatever you're grateful for today. Okay. It says grateful for good doctor but not slow test results. Grateful for having computer but not a malfunctioning camera. Okay. Okay. Barb says Rose is shower excellent. Moving the brush made all the difference but is not wearing the aura ring consistently. Okay. And Thorn is still need to get on the rebounder. Okay. One step at a time. Right? Lots to do. So one thing at a time. Nadia says I'm grateful it's Friday and can relax for the week weekend. Cheryl says I'm thankful that it's warm out even though it's rainy and dreary. Okay, thank you for sharing, everyone. Okay, so let's, let's start this meditation. Give me a moment. So you know as before I get the meditation stem. Want to invite you all, if possible, to get comfortable wherever you are. Of course, if you're driving then you can just listen and still participate. But if you're at home, then you can just make sure you're in a comfortable spot and you can close your eyes if you wish. You can keep them open, whatever you feel most comfortable with. But I'm going to get it started. Just follow the prompts here and we'll go from there.
Welcome to today's moment. Give me a thumbs up body scan to let go of any tension and reset to get started. Take a seat, close your eyes and rest your hands on your knees. Take a moment to just be. We've got nowhere to go. Nothing we have to do. Bring Your attention to the top of your body, your face, and notice any tension you might be holding in your jaw. Let it go. Moving down to your shoulders. Let them hang free from your shoulders, down into your arms. Let go of any tightness in your hands. Take your attention now to your stomach. If you're holding any tension there, let it go. Taking the focus down into your legs and into your feet. Let them hang free. Bring your attention to your breathing, noticing where you feel it most in your body, how you breathe in and out. Perhaps it's the air going in through your nose or as your chest and stomach move with your breath. See if you can notice the exact moment your breath changes from from breathing in to breathing out. Gently bring your focus back to your body, on your seat. And in your own time, open your eyes. How do you feel now? Sometimes unknowingly, we hold a lot of tension in our body. And it's only by taking these mindful moments that we notice it's our small daily actions, like completing the five to thrive tools that add up to have a big impact, helping us calm, reset, and thrive for our next step. So keep going.
Hey.
So as you can see, that didn't take much time, and I'm sure after completing that, most of you feel more relaxed, more present, less stressed. Because we do hold a lot of our tension and our stress in our body, right? And over time, that accumulates and can manifest into different things, Right? Especially in our jaw, our neck, our shoulders. We hold a lot of tension there, right? So this is a great practice that I really encourage all of you to do once a day at least, because it also helps us be less reactive, Right? It helps us to not just do that for that three minutes that we were doing it, but take it into the rest of our day. Right. Whether it's with our children, whether it's when we're feeling like we need to eat something salty or something sweet, right? If we can just take a moment to. To breathe and to notice why we might be reacting, then many times we can stop that reaction. Right? So mindfulness plays a huge role in our health journey, whether it's for weight loss or whatever it might be, Right? So really make sure that you're taking the time to do that at least once a day. How many of you found that helpful type? Yes. In the chat, if you found that helpful or raise your hand. Okay, good, Excellent. Okay, so for today, I did want to start off with a little exercise for you all, a little breakout exercise. We have approximately, like including myself, there's nine of us. So we'll do partners, like two people. We'll give five minutes per partner and just want you to reflect on a few questions. So I'm going to say them out loud and then maybe Annalisa, if you can type them in the chat, that would be great. So the first question that I want you to share with your partner is, what's been your biggest personal win so far? Okay. Second question is, what's been the biggest challenge you've overcome? And third question is, what are you currently working on overcoming? So it'll be five minutes per partner, so 10 minutes total. And then after that we'll come back and we'll share a little bit and then we will go into our Q and A if you have any questions. Okay, so I'm going to break you all up. Any questions about any of that? Terry has a question. You can go ahead and unmute.
So the, like, the biggest personal win, would it be related to the program? Is that what you were looking for there? Okay.
Yeah. I mean, I haven't ideally, but if, if you haven't started or, you know, if it's not what's related. Related to that, you can share anything. It doesn't have to necessarily be with regards to that.
Okay.
Okay. So I'm going to assign you to your rooms and we'll go from there. And if someone doesn't join the room for any reason, if someone's driving or whatever it might be, just come back into the main room and we'll try to get that sorted out. Okay. Okay. So I'll open all the rooms so you'll see a blue button pop up on your screen. Just hit join when you see that blue button. Okay.
It.
Hey, welcome back, everyone. Hey. So I guess we'll do some sharing. So I know Barb and Cheryl were together. So do either one of you want to share anything that came up? What was your personal, biggest, personal win? Biggest challenge? Raise your hand if you want to share. Barb or Cheryl. Okay, Cheryl, go ahead and unmute.
Hi.
I was just really encouraged by talking to Barb. She's now on her second round and she's committed and she's focused and I need that. I need the commitment, I need the focus. And it was really nice to talk to somebody who, who is committed and focused and. And just kind of gave me the little push to keep on.
Okay, great. Yeah. So that's funny how that works, Right. Sometimes we get paired with people who inspire us and help us, you know, stay the path. Right. So that's why we kind of do these breakouts so that you can share with each other what's working, what's not, what challenges you have, and see if you guys can support each other. Thank you for sharing that, Cheryl. Barb, you can go ahead and unmute.
I just want to appreciate Cheryl for her already, the planning she's doing, she's thinking ahead to a time when she's going to be away next week, and she's already planning on what she's going to eat and how she's going to handle going out for a restaurant and that kind of thing. So I commend you for that. And like I said, my favorite saying lately is plan tight so you can hang loose. So she's already. She's already planning ahead. So congratulations, Cheryl.
Awesome. Thanks for sharing that, Barb. Yeah. And, you know, one thing to note is there's going to be things that come up, right? Whether it's a party or a birthday where we might not be able to stick to things 100%, and that's life, right? So we plan as best as we can. We try to stick to the plan as best as we can, and knowing that it's not going to be 100% perfect, right? And then we don't let that sabotage us moving forward. We get back on track with the next meal. Right. Where when we do have control. Okay? So thank you. Thank you, ladies. Kelly and Nadia. Do any one of you want to share? I know both of you are off camera. You can raise your hand if you want to share. Any of you. Okay, Next we have Ed and Terry. Do any one of you want to share? Terry, you want to share anything? I'll go ahead and unmute you. Oh, I think you have to unmute. Bottom left hand corner. You should see where you can unmute. I've asked. There you go.
Yeah, thanks.
Okay, no worries.
Yeah. I was kind of fortunate because Ed has been through some of the phases multiple times now, so I was very. I wasn't very interested to hear his experiences, and he did share quite a few of them with me. And so that was very helpful to me. And in fact, I was probably more interested in hearing about his experience with the program than, you know, what's going on in my life outside of the program, you know, so that was. That was helpful.
Okay, good. Excellent.
Great. Thank you for sharing. And then we had Analisa and Liz. Anyone want to share? Elise, you want to share? Go ahead and unmute.
Hi. Hi. Thank you. It's just, just first, it's it's spelled with an S, but my. It's just pronounced Liz.
Okay.
Okay, perfect.
Thank you.
I wasn't sure if I was saying that right or not, so thank you.
Everyone's like, lease. And I'm like, no, my parents built Elizabeth with a Zeds, so, yeah, it's just. Okay. Yeah. So I am brand spanking new. I just have been enjoying Christmas this week as all of these boxes of goodies keep showing up at my store. And my husband's like, you got an Amazon package? I'm like, I didn't order anything. And here's a new scale. I'm like, I love this. This is great when people want to send you things. So. But with that came the whole, like, I was sharing with Annalise of know my biggest challenge really has been overcoming. And my biggest win was overcoming these voices in my head because I went back and forth on whether I should join the program. My husband's been super supportive. Don't worry about money. Don't worry about, you know, whatever you need to eat, you eat. I can cook separately for myself. Like, he's doing everything. But then there's those inner voices, you know, saying, you already know all this. You. You know, you can do this without a program, but. Except that I haven't.
Yeah.
Until now. And so finally. And then in amidst all of the decision making, I got coveted, and my Covid brain was like, I'm too tired to do this. I'm too overwhelmed to do this. I'm too, you know, so getting over all that joining biggest wing, biggest challenge. Yeah. So I'm excited to be here. I'm going to really focus this weekend on unpacking everything and figuring out making appointments, which Annalise reminded me of because. Yeah. And I was supposed to be on the call last week. I didn't put it in my calendar, and I remembered about an hour after the call. So, you know, learning the brain fog is a real thing. And reminders on your phone are very useful, so.
Yep.
So you'll probably find it useful to put reminders on your phone for the spray as well, or the drops, rather. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, that'll be useful. And then, you know, I think it's funny because I just recorded a video about this the other day where it's like, you know, how many times have we said to ourselves, okay, this weekend is the weekend I'm going to get started. I'm going to do X, Y, and Z. Like, we know what to do. But, you know, the research has shown that willpower is a limited resource. Right. So we really need coaching, accountability, and community. Right. And so, you know, many of us are familiar with a lot of the concepts in this program, especially with, you know, the nutrition, the fasting or whatever it might be, but it's really having someone hold you accountable that's going to get you the results. Right. And so it's not so much that the program is. The investment in the program is not necessarily the information. It's the accountability and the community and the coaching.
And I just want to say thank you to Annalisa, because even though I'm paired with a coach, she was, you know, playing full out and sharing her wins and challenges that she's overcome, and I really appreciate that. So thank you.
Yeah, yeah, we're all. We're all human. And, you know, the. The goal is progress over perfection. Right. And just doing things in little baby steps. Right. Like, as Barb had shared earlier in the call, like, she's doing the dry brushing more consistently, but she hasn't been doing the rebounding. Right. But it comes slowly. Right. One thing at a time. So, yes. Okay, awesome. Thanks, everyone, for playing all out and for participating in that little exercise. So I guess we can open up the floor to some Q and A. I know there was some questions that I had come in, so I. I can answer some of those. And then if you do have any questions, you can type them in the chat or you can raise your hand and I can get you unmuted as well. Okay.
So.
A couple of questions that had come up from one of our members was questions around supplements. So for those of you who have trouble swallowing, then powders can be helpful. Right. Because you don't have to swallow them. You can put them in water or even things like a liquid. Vitamin D, for example. Right. So if swallowing is something that you struggle with, then that is an option. You know, obviously, vitamin and minerals, for the most part, a lot of those do come in capsule forms, but there are some products like athletic greens, which are very comprehensive in terms of vitamin support. They do have some probiotics in them and some phytonutrients from the greens in them as well. So that's definitely an option if you don't like to swallow capsules. Okay, let me see here. So I'll have to double check if athletic greens has minerals in it or not, but mineral. A general min. I personally take a general mineral supplement at bedtime, and then I take a vitamin supplement in the morning. I'll double check if the athletic greens has both and then something like electrolytes. I drink electrolytes every day especially. It's very, very, very, very, very important to have electrolytes on the release phase because one of the things that can happen is when you reduce carbs, it's going to create salt wasting. And I'm actually going to add it to the manual for the next print. And so you need to replenish those salt stores. So it's very important that you either add salt to your water or that you add electrolytes to your water. Okay. If you are going to have electrolytes, the one that we usually recommend, there's a couple. There's one product called Electrolyte Synergy by Designs for Health. I can put the link in the chat or you can do for those in the US Another one that we recommend sometimes is Element in Canada. You can get it on Amazon, but it does end up being a lot more expensive. So I would just recommend the Designs for Health Electrolyte. Okay. And when we don't get enough salt, then sometimes we can feel a little dizzy or lightheaded. So it's really important to replenish those salt stores. And also the another reason is when you. In terms of the salt is having an adequate salt intake is going to make us more sensitive to insulin, which is what we want. Okay. So increasing salt improves insulin sensitivity. Okay. When you have too little salt, then you're going to have insulin resistance, which many, many of you have already. And many of you have probably been told by your doctors to avoid salt. Right. So contrary to popular belief, I'm reading a book right now. It's called Salt Fix the Offer. Author's name is Dr. James. The last name is Long. It's like D. Nicolentonio or something like that. I'll put the link in the chat. But you guys can read that book. It's very insightful. It's more so the quality of salt. So table salt. Highly recommend removing table salt. If you have any table salt in your home, throw it in the garbage. Okay. It's probably not that expensive. Like literally throw it in the garbage. I would recommend either Himalayan salt or unrefined sea salt. A couple of good brands are Redmond's sea salt or a Celtic sea salt. The brand is Selena's naturally. So, Annalisa, if you want to put the names of those in the chat, and then I'll put the electrolyte in the chat as well. Okay. And then the other question that came up, I know there's a few hands up. I'LL get to you in just a second. Let's see. Okay, so that was, like, I think the main question that came up from. Give me a second. I'm just going to put the electrolyte link in here. I know. Let me see here. Okay. Annalise, put the link for the dry brushing. Thank you.
Oh, someone asked already. Okay.
Okay, Cheryl, go ahead and unmute.
A couple of questions. I am not formally in this group yet. At least I haven't had a link. I'm still on the. The other group, so I wasn't sure when I was sliding over.
I think you're in the new Facebook group, Annalisa, if you could check. I'm pretty sure you're part of the new Facebook group.
I. I don't know how to find it, so if you could send me a link somewhere so I could find it, that would be amazing. And.
Yep, yep.
I'm. I am a saltaholic. Like, a real bad saltaholic. A couple of days ago, I did take my blood pressure. It varies normally between 120, 150 of the higher, but my lower one is usually early 90s. 90, 92. Should I. I haven't taken. Was about two or three days ago, I took it. I haven't taken it since. Should I cut down or should I.
Keep up with salts?
What type of salt are you using at home?
The Himalayan salt.
Okay.
And.
What is your blood pressure?
You said anywhere between 120, 130, 140. Sometimes it slides up a little bit more and. But the bottom is usually 85 to 92, 93.
Okay. Do you take any blood pressure medication?
No.
Okay, good. So I would like. Do you know how much salt you're getting? Approximately?
I've got a. I think I put lots.
Okay. So I would.
I just don't. I love salt and. And I always have. I've always been a salt girl.
Okay. Yeah. I would try to measure it because then I can't really. I don't know how much you're getting. Right. So, you know, typically, like, according to this book, it said that a safe amount of salt is anywhere from 3 to 6 grams. So that would be 3,000 to 6,000 milligrams. So just with your Himalayan salt, like, the back of the label will tell you. Like, for example, like a quarter teaspoon has X amount of milligrams. Right?
Right.
Measure how much you're using to see how many milligrams you're actually getting.
Okay. When I was eating a regular diet, obviously, I was getting More salt through a few kind. We didn't eat a lot of processed foods, but, you know, occasionally. Now, of course, that's all gone, which is good. So.
Yeah, yeah. And it's more so like the. It's more so the processed foods, like the chips and all of that, like, the salt in those foods is gonna be bad for you, right?
Of course. Yeah.
You're eating whole foods and adding your own salt, then, you know, that's obviously gonna be a lot better for you. And the reason why we recommend getting rid of table salt is because it's refined and a lot of the minerals and nutrients, trace minerals, are kind of stripped out of it. So when you buy refined sea salt or a Himalayan salt, then it's going to have a lot of those trace minerals in it.
My husband has heart issues, so I cook with no salt and then add it later. So I'm also. Yeah, I like the herbivore as well, too. I see up there from. Also as well. We've been getting a lot of information about constipation. Because I have ibs, I'm tending to slide the other way. Not every day. So from what I've read, diarrhea can sometimes be a manifestation of constipation. I'm not diarrhea. I'm just looser. And sometimes it, like, just carries on for a while. Too much information. Normally I would rely on carbs to kind of, you know, bulk everything up.
Yeah. So basically it, you know, you're eating plenty of vegetables, so you are going to be getting a lot of fiber. But a lot of the times on this program, the looser bowel movements can sometimes be due to, like, a detox reaction. So that's probably what it. You know, what it might be due to.
Okay, great. I'm. I'm done. Thank you.
Yeah, no worries, Terry. Go ahead and unmute.
Oh, I just wanted to toss in about the white table salt, that there's research has just been done that it also contains the plastics from the salt water. They're crushing that, all of that up and the plastics are ending up in the salt. And of course, it's bleached also. And of course, stripped of every mineral that could possibly beneficial and leaving only the most harmful one.
Exactly. Absolutely. So lots of bad news with that type of salt, so.
And people still use it. I just can't believe it.
Yeah, I know. It's so terrible.
Yeah, I like real salt. I like the real salt from the salt mine. Redmond. I think it's a Redmond one.
Yes, Redmond is a great salt. Yep.
Yeah, I like it because it's sea salt, but it hasn't been exposed to our seas.
Exactly.
Millennia. Thank God. So there's no mercury, aluminum, cesium, who knows what else.
Exactly.
Yeah. Okay, that was my comment.
Thank you. Thanks for sharing that. Who else has a question? Anyone? Also, Cheryl, I put the link for the Facebook group in the chat. Okay. Ed is saying cheese, I understand Parmesan, Cheddar and Swiss contain no lactose. Lactose. Can we consume those? So on maintenance, you know, that's when you're really going to determine whether you can tolerate dairy, right? So some people, after being on the release phase for six weeks, when they try to introduce dairy back in, they get a reaction, right? Whether it could be. And for dairy, one of the things that you really want to take note of it, and it's a reaction that can be sometimes a little bit subtle is mucus. Right. Is your nose more runny the next day? Do you feel more congested the next day? And if so, that could be because of. Of dairy intolerance. Right. Other things could be a skin reaction or, you know, a delayed food sensitivity. Sensitivity reaction to a particular food can be anything, Right. It could be a headache, it could be a rash. It could be, you know, a lot of different manifestations, not just for dairy, but for any food. So that's what you really want. And that's why I say that the maintenance phase sometimes is a little. It's actually sometimes more important because it really gives that information to us in terms of what foods we may do well with versus what foods we may not tolerate very well. Okay, so. And then also, you know, lactose intolerance. Right. Some of us have a genetic predisposition where we are lactose intolerant. Right. I'm not sure about those cheeses if they have lactose or not, but if you are lactose intolerant and those don't have any lactose, and you seem to do fine with them and feel like you don't have any type of food sensitivity reaction to them, then you are more than welcome to consume those, of course, a lot of fat and protein. So just take that into consideration when you're kind of, you know, thinking about what your macros are going to be for the day. Okay, Terry, go ahead and unmute.
Yeah.
This is a question. I have had trouble with vegetables that are. That contain lectins, and I have some old injuries, joint injuries, and that. What I understand, it's like. It's like putting sandpaper in there and also, you know, can lead to leaky gut and things like that. But I noticed that there's a lot of lectins in the recipes that are. That are shown. So, you know, I've been really trying to reduce that to keep my comfort, you know, to keep my comfort level, because one of them is in my foot, which is really a big problem when I can, you know, step on one of my feet, you know.
Yeah. So lectins, the main vegetables that are going to contain lectins are of course going to be the night shades. So the things like tomatoes, peppers, you know, eggplants.
All the delicious ones.
Cucumbers. Yeah, yeah. So if you are, if you are so with, you know, lectins is in every vegetable. Right. So it's more so about how do we minimize them. So the night shades for sure are going to be higher, so you might want to omit those. But things like cucumbers, if you peel the skin and take out the seeds, they're going to have a lot less lectins. Right. Same thing with, like, some people are more sensitive to tomatoes, but so taking them out altogether might be helpful. But for some people who are, you know, maybe just a little bit sensitive, de seeding them will be helpful. Right. So it's going to be impossible to remove them all. But if, you know for sure there's certain foods that you just don't do well with in terms of lectins and they're still on the allowed list, then just omit them.
Yeah, just I've been watching the ones with seeds, you know, and of course, those are the ones that, the high value ones, you know, because they're trying to protect themselves, don't want their seeds eaten.
Exactly, exactly. So, you know, you're just, you know, removing the seeds from them is going to be, you know, helpful in terms of reducing that lectin.
Yeah, I understand that. That's how in Italy, that's how they make their sauce. They don't use the seeds or the skin.
Yep.
They have that machine that basically removes like the seeds and the, the skin. And so it's basically just the, you know, main part of the tomato that gets used in the world or all.
The really good nutrition is.
Exactly. Yep.
Lycopene. Is it lycopene that's in there.
Yep.
That's so valuable. We know we never get enough of that, but that's where it is. So actually I bought, actually bought a couple of tomatoes, thinking that I'm going to, I'm going to take the seeds out, I'm going to take the skin off, I'm going to mash them up. Like, you know, I was reading about that. This is a great way to get lycopene, which is really needed. And we. None of us really get enough usually.
And the other problem these days, too, which is why we really try to enforce eating organic, is, you know, when they're. When our food is sprayed, then the soils get depleted. Right. So trying to eat organic as much as possible, because it's just going to be more nutrient dense.
Right.
It's going to have more lycopene. An organic tomato is going to have more lycopene than something like a conventional tomato. Right.
So here's some. Some crab. I have a really hard time now because I just don't want to eat anything that's not organic. And so. Which really means that there's not very many places you can go out to eat.
Yes, exactly. Right. Because when you go out to eat, for the most part, it's going to be not organic. Right.
Because it's just cheap ingredients, probably. Yeah, yeah. So that's kind of a bummer. And now I live in the middle of nowhere, so there aren't even any really great restaurants or where I used to live, we had organic restaurants.
But y.
No, no. Here it's like, you know, barbecue, fast food.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Like, what's the point? Totally. Yep.
Yeah. So for the lectins, just, I would say, you know, you probably want to just. If, you know, you're sensitive to them, you're. You're probably just going to have to omit them.
Okay, thanks.
You're welcome. Okay, who else has a question? Question?
We here.
Oh, Barb. There you go. Go ahead and unmute.
One of my goals this week is to figure out how to use the Renfro scale to its full potential. I know Ed does it all the time and knows all his different water weight. And what's. What's my next step to figuring out how to.
To use.
It's very, very easy. All you have to do is download the Renfo app.
I've already done that.
Okay. And then it's basically when you download the app, it's going to prompt you to pair it with your scale. Okay. So basically you'll, you know, just follow the instructions to pair it with your scale via Bluetooth. Okay, thank you. Yep. And then basically, when you step on the scale, before you step on the scale, make sure you have the app open, because if you just step on the scale and don't open the app, it's going to give you some of the basic metrics and it won't record it in the app. So you have to have the app open, open and then step on the scale so that it can sync all the data.
Okay.
Okay.
Thank you.
You're welcome. Okay, Kelly, go ahead and unmute. Oh, sorry. Alice, did you have a comment?
Yeah, I just wanted to quickly say it has to pair with your phone. Both need to have Bluetooth on for all that information to sync. And then also you can click in on any one of those metrics that it shows up, like the water percentage, protein percentage, bone mass, all that jazz. And it opens up kind of like a sliding scale so you can see on average where you are on that scale. Just as an extra aside, if nobody or if anybody didn't know that feature existed, you can always touch in on all of the metrics. And then that same thing goes for your Oura ring too. So when you click on any of the metrics, for those of you that do have an Oura ring, it opens it up, it explains the significance of that metric. Different, let's say ranges to be in or what's seen on average to be optimal. And then it always has a little I, the information I symbol on that page. You can click it and then it, it takes you to their blog, which is jam packed with a lot of cool information. So feel free to, to click in, touch anything that you see. A lot of technology is built that way now where it's not obvious. But just feel free to, to touch around and play around.
Thanks, Alice.
You're welcome. I think Terry has just a quick comment on maybe something.
Yeah. Question about that. So the devices, I understand they're going to communicate with Bluetooth, but when the scale is, when you're not on the scale, does it power down and it's not on Bluetooth anymore, Right?
That's right.
Yeah.
It only activates when you step on the scale, so then it can record that measurement. And then once you're off within like I want to say 10, 15 seconds, it shuts down.
Okay.
Thing. And the, when you're done, like even when you're done with the app, you can turn your Bluetooth off and then you can always turn it back on on your phone when you want to use it. And then also with the, you know, if you, for those of you who use the aura ring, you can put it in airplane mode and then to see the data, you would just put it on your charger and then you can Turn everything off off again.
So I'm. I have an iPhone. And the airplane mode doesn't turn off Bluetooth. Big change.
You have to manually turn off Bluetooth. So in your setting mode, they changed.
The meaning of it, I guess, is the. The airlines decided that Bluetooth was okay because people wanted to listen to their music. So now it. It means it only turns off, I guess, like whatever. Cel. Maybe wireless or something.
Exactly. Yeah.
But not Bluetooth, unfortunately.
Yeah.
Y.
So you still have to turn that off. Yeah.
And then the ring. When do you. You're not wearing a ring all the time. You just put it on when you go to sleep, go to bed. Is that. So you.
You do want to wear it all the time?
Am I frozen?
Oh, yeah. I think your camera's frozen. Oh, hello.
Oh, I think I got frozen.
I think I did, too.
Okay.
Yeah.
I don't know what happened. That was weird.
Yeah, we just glitched. But you do want to wear it all day. So it's an average score of your activity, of your sleep, of course, your readiness throughout the day. So you want to wear it all day. It's still absorbing all that wonderful data, even on airplane mode. So what I like to do is obviously leave it on airplane mode. So. So it's not emitting any Bluetooth because we don't really need to check in on a daily basis. It takes the day average anyways. So in the morning, when you want to check out your scores, put it in the charger to take it off of airplane mode. Obviously, turn on your Bluetooth on your phone. It's going to. Then pair it. It's going to sync all that information. Once you've had a chance to digest it, look at it. I even say use the tag feature, comment feature. That's in. That's one of the little action steps. So in the white circular plus sign, you can click that, add a tag, or you can do an unguided session or add in an activity. So anytime you're starting a new habit, I say that that tool is really helpful, but it's up to you if you want to use it or not. That's just how I use it. And then. So you place it back on airplane mode, and it's continues tracking all day long.
Awesome.
Thank you.
Okay. I think Kelly had a question. You can.
Yes. At the time you were requesting questions, and they were not coming.
Yep.
And then we had a lot.
So I was going to go back to the.
The topic on the salt, and I.
Was wondering if you wanted to Talk.
A little bit about the magnesium as.
Well and its impact and advantages that we could have. Yeah, so magnesium is a mineral that is involved in over 300 reactions in the body, and it's also very commonly deposited depleted in most people. So that's why I personally take mineral supplement at bedtime, because as I had mentioned before, our soils are very depleted, which means our food is depleted, so we don't get as many minerals. I'm actually working on doing a talk on minerals for you all. I did one a while ago without slides, but I'm trying to put one together with slides so that, you know, you have more formal talk on it. And then minerals also get depleted when we have stress. Right. So who doesn't have stress these days? So we deplete our minerals with stress, and then we deplete them with, you know, poor soils. So I always like to recommend a mineral complex which also has magnesium in it, you know, and then some. For some people, they may need a more therapeutic dose of magnesium, like a higher dose in addition to what's in the mineral complex. So it just depends on the person if they're struggling with something like cramps or restless legs or poor sleep or trouble calming down. Like, magnesium can help with all of it. Right. So, you know, it's, it's a great supplement to have in your toolbox. And that comes in powder form too. For those who doesn't don't like capsules, you can get magnesium glycinate in a powder form as well. I'll put a link in the chat. For the minerals that I personally take, I take like three of them a day, and each capsule has 66 milligrams. So if you take three, you're approximately getting like 180 milligrams, which is pretty good, like minimum effective dose, so to speak. So magnesium glycinate is going to be for the sleep, for the leg cramps, for the relaxation, just overall kind of, I guess, overall health. Whereas magnesium citri is going to be more specific to those of you who struggle with constant constipation. So those are kind of the differences between the two. I'll put the mineral complex link in here.
Okay.
What other questions? Anything else coming up? Do you have another question, Terry?
Well, I guess I not used to wearing any trend, any RF devices, you know, and it sounds like you prefer that people wear the ring all the time. So that's Bluetooth. Bluetooth is, you know, it's, it's. It's right up there with all the other, you know, Radiation emitters. It's not any better. It's not any less. It might even be more.
Yeah, so that's why we like the OURA ring, because you can put the actual ring on airplane mode. So not just your phone, but the ring. So when the ring is on airplane mode, it's not emitting any emf. That's why we choose OURA ring as a preferred tracking device or tool for measuring these kind of things. Because all the other ones, like Fitbit, Garmin, all of them emit emf. So we're very aware and sensitive to that. And that's why we choose OURA Ring, because you can actually put the entire ring on airplane mode.
Which means what? Then it's just a ring. It's not doing anything else.
Yeah. So it can still collect the data, but the data. Actually, in order to get the data, you have to put it on airplane mode to pair with your phone. So it's basically able to collect the data without emitting any EMF or Bluetooth.
Not transmitting. Yeah, that's the key thing. Yeah, that's. That's good.
Okay. All right.
I feel a little better about that.
I can send you a couple of articles about it, too. I was just on their website, and just so that you kind of have a little bit more peace of mind about it as well. Hey, anyone have any other questions?
Comments?
Where did you post those? More information?
I can send that to you.
Okay.
Yeah, here, here. Actually, I just found one. I can put it in the chat. I just put it in the Zoom chat.
Okay, thanks.
Okay, so I guess we will see you all next Friday. That went by quickly. So have a wonderful weekend. Get some fresh air, get outside.
And.
I guess we will see you all next Friday. Oh, sorry. So I think there was one more question about the magnesium. In terms of taking both. You can take both. A lot of people do take the magnesium glycinate and citrate. So the one that's going to cause loose bowels if you get too much is the citrate, but the glycinate will not cause loose bowels, so you can take both. And there are some magnesium products that have, like, a combination so you don't have to take, like, so many different things. So that's also an option if you're interested in that, then we can post more information about that as well. Okay, well, it was a pleasure connecting with you all, and we will chat next Friday. See you all then. Bye, everyone.
Bye, everyone. Have a great weekend.
