The Move Your Future Self Is Begging You to Make NOW
23 Jul 2026 · 16 min
Lori Harder argues that real change requires uncomfortable, big moves, not just ideas. She shares her own launches: a three-year book project, a live event she funded herself, and six webinars in one week for her guest-booking program. Her point: accelerated action creates faster learning and identity shifts.

Okay, I want you to think about what creatine you're taking right now, and I know for me, I did not know what I was taking.
I just grabbed whatever had the best reviews and I trusted the label. Then I found Momentous and it changed how I think about supplements completely.
I've been taking their creatine as a part of my daily routine for a while now, and when they launched their Signature Spec, their most advanced creatine yet, I paid attention because this brand does not cut corners and everybody seems to know that. Here's why it's different. It's manufactured in an actual pharmaceutical facility using reverse osmosis water purification. And it goes through a 6-stage testing process verified by 4 independent agencies. It's an ultra-fine powder, no grit, no clumping. It just mixes clean. And honestly, that alone sold me because I've had really gritty creatine before and I just stopped taking it consistently because I did not like it. That's the Momentous standard, the relentless pursuit of better. It supports strength, lean muscle recovery. So if you're taking it every day anyway, Take the one that's actually held to a higher standard. If you wanna try Momentous Signature Spec Creatine, head to livemomentous.com and use code EARN for up to 35% off your entire first order. That's livemomentous.com, promo code EARN for up to 35% off. When you get a gut feeling, if you don't run with that, if you don't trust that, it's gonna go to someone else. This idea's gonna go land on somebody else. And so that's what I want you to realize, is that if you're getting a gut hit that you need to run a marathon, if you need to do a HIROX, if you're like, I should write a book, I should start an event, I need some big fucking audacious goal that makes me change who I am, it's because your future self is dying to come through, and it takes one of these moves. Hey everyone, welcome back to the show. It's time for another quickie because there's always time to fit in inspiration. If you're hearing any raspiness in my voice, A, I am getting over a cold. B, I am in the middle of a 6-training launch for my Million Dollar Guest Method, and I couldn't be more excited. There is a point to me telling you this, not just because I want you to know about it, but because that is what the podcast is about today, is about taking big risks, doing things that are going to put you into a different realm, or as the spiritual girlies say, jumping timelines. And it's about quantum leap moves. And I am in the middle of doing something I've never done before. I've never ever launched this way. And it is a absolute marathon. And I am learning so much that this is ultimately changing who I am, like completely. And while some of you have probably done launches like this, maybe a lot of you have not. And it's quite crazy how fast you can learn when you show up for 90 minutes to 2 hours at a time to train people live. Over and over and over again, and you have put all of the legwork into getting people to show up on a live training and what that has taken to get people on it. And I've absolutely done webinars before, but not 6 in a row, not 2 a day. And so this has been something that is absolutely changing who I am and how I'm showing up and what I'm learning. And the data points that I'm getting are fast, meaning because I'm doing so much, and so many of them for so long that I'm getting more data than most people get in a whole year of launching, right? Most people don't do 6 webinars a year. So if you do 6 in a week, you're gonna get that data a lot faster, and I can keep making each webinar better, which is also so exciting. So first of all, I want to talk about how a lot of you I know right now in your life feel stuck somewhere. And what you are missing is a quantum leap move. And that may be challenging to hear because you're like, I feel like I'm trying to make these changes and I'm doing a little bit here and I'm doing a little bit there. Oh my God, girl, I do same. Like, you know, you want changes in the gym, you want changes to your body, and you're like, okay, well maybe I'll add another day of working out, or maybe I'll try this, or I'll try that. And it's like a quantum leap move would be to go work with a nutritionist and a trainer and totally fucking change everything. Right? If you want tiny little, not very noticeable changes, then you're gonna make tiny little, not too noticeable for yourself changes. If you want big fucking incremental life-changing changes, you're gonna have to make big fucking incremental life-changing moves into your day. And so for those of you who are ready for that, I am gonna go through some different things that can absolutely put you on a different timeline, that can quantum leap your entire life. And the reason I love that word quantum leap is because there are actions that you can do and things that you can do that for sure transform your life, but it transforms it over time. But a quantum leap is like when you put so much effort and energy that is so pointed into one specific thing that all of a sudden, because you've done it for 6 months or a year or 2 years, or you've been working up to this moment that once that moment hits and you are prepared, it's gonna change everything for you. And so I've done a few of these quantum leap moves and I'll tell you what some of them have been. I remember when I wanted to write a book, it took me about 3 years from thought of having that I wanted this book about friendship to finding a literary agent. And that in and of itself, when you have no clue about what the hell that is, trying to find one, find one that wants you as a new author. Find one that you want to work with, who feels confident about the book that you're writing before the book even exists, feels confident about you as a new author. Let me tell you, that's not easy to find. I actually struggled to find my literary agent and someone who believed in me before, you know, I was an author. And so finding the literary agent, creating the proposal, which by the way is like a 75-page document— I actually found it harder to write than the book, doing the proposal— and then hoping that your proposal sells the book, and the literary agent shopping it, and you doing all of these insane interviews, having to become someone else and learn something else and learn the ins and outs of what this looks like, and then publishing a book and then learning how to market it and going to all of the different book tours and doing all the things. I can't even begin to tell you the moving pieces that are involved in a writing a book, a book launch, a book deal, all of the things. That was a massive quantum leap for me. It changed my entire life. It changed the trajectory of my career because of how how hard that was. I didn't believe through 70% of it that I was the person who could write this book and who could get this to the finish line, because I just felt like I just didn't have the skill set for it. And like, learning it felt arduous and, and horrible and awful, and I felt like such a fraud, and I felt like an awful writer. And even once I got the book deal, I was like, oh my God, did they invest in the wrong person? Like, is this book ever gonna exist? Am I gonna have to pay this money back? Like, I felt that way through the entire thing. Like, it was insane. So it changed me on a cellular level because I had to become someone different. And if you want to jump timelines, meaning if you want to accelerate your progress and you want to go from who you are right now to the person you see in your head, you have to become someone different. So small shifts ain't going to do that shit at all. Like you're gonna spend the next 5 years and you're gonna get results, but you're not going to be where you want to be. Because small shifts that are still comfortable are not what change you. It's the really big uncomfortable shit that absolutely puts you into a different category. And so a book is a different category, a TED Talk is a different category. Like, getting ready for that is next level. Getting a coach, writing that talk, getting filmed, being in front of the audience, practicing in front of a bunch of people who give you pointers on your talk 2 days before, as if you can go and change it, is like the most next level experience of the nerves and memorizing the talk. Because trust me, you can't not memorize your TED Talk. Your teleprompter could go out like it did for me, and so that is going to change you. Like, those are things that you have never done before. Hosting an event, that absolutely changed me. I had no idea how to do it. I had to put money down. I had to take a massive risk on myself before I was the person who believed she could have an event, before I was the person who believed she could fill the event, right? There was a— there's almost like this diabolically crazy part of you that has to exist and be like, I'm just gonna trust and have faith in God that like if this is on my heart, that I'm gonna do this thing. And also hedge your bets, obviously. Like, I don't want you to go put $100,000 down on an event that if you don't fill it, you're going to lose it. Like, make sure you're taking logical risks, and also a risk that still holds you accountable to the thing, right? I was like, okay, I'm going to put money down on this, and I am going to make sure that I fill this event because I put the money down. And so these are things that change who you are because you're not yet that person. And right now, I know I'm in another quantum leap moment because I have never launched this way and I did not know if this program would work right now. And I have been building it for 2 months and I have been getting people, driving people to my media kit opt-in freebie and then driving people to the training for the past 2 weeks and now showing up and delivering this content that I have been building on top of doing other things. Like, I am a different person right now. I have never had so much pressure in my life with all of the different things going on in my life and that I'm working on. And, you know, the challenges that I have experienced with Glossier, with a lawsuit. And I, I am not the same person. Like, between the big problems, the things that are happening, the things that I have created— we have our Elite Mastermind next week. I'm doing the biggest launch essentially of a lift of my life right now. This week, my capacity has completely changed. If you told this to the girl that I was even 3 years ago, I would think that I would just burst into fucking flames, like I would have never been able to do it. And now I am so impressed with the fact that I want an offer that I don't have to be there for all the time. I'm very excited to turn this into hopefully an evergreen offer later, and I'm like, I want that business model in my business. So what's it going to take?
If you've been sitting on a business idea forever, I see you because I was you. And Shopify makes it stupid simple to just start. Everything you need to sell something is already set up for you from day one. You don't have to wait until it feels ready. You literally just start. The second your first customer is ready to pay, Shopify checkout makes sure they finish. And when they come back, their info's already saved. One tap and it's done. Half of you have almost launched something before. Getting paid was never the part you were missing because Shopify handles the setup and the checkout.
You get your time back for the part that actually grows the business.
That's the whole point of the show. Build it around your life, not the other way around. Honestly, I don't just read ads for this. I run Glossy on Shopify. It's my CRM. It's where I manage every customer, and it's the same system whether you're Gymshark or you started this week. See what it can do at shopify.com/happy. One of my favorite things I get to do, and it doesn't happen nearly enough, is to throw milestone parties for my family. I've done it for my parents, for people I love, and honestly, it's become a little bit of a thing that I'm known for. The one that still means the most to me was my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. You guys, it's 50 years married and I wanted everything to feel as special as that number sounds. And so I myself and Kaylee, my brand coordinator, we were like, we're just gonna do this with AI together. We're gonna figure this out. And this particular launch style of everything that we're doing is totally different than what we've been used to doing. And so we decided to pivot and try it like pivot on a dime and try it. And it has been the lift of my entire life, all faith-based, let me tell you. Like, no clue if this was going to be something that people wanted or hit. And it truly has been so incredible to watch how many people on day one flooded into this offer. And it's like when you get a gut feeling, if you don't run with that, if you don't trust that, it's gonna go to someone else. This idea is going to go land on somebody else. And so that's what I want you to realize, is that if you're getting a gut hit that you need to run a marathon, if you need to do a HIIT rocks, if you're like, I should write a book, I should start an event, I need some big fucking audacious goal that makes me change who I am, it's because your future self is dying to come through, and it takes one of these moves. And she's not going to come through in a small way. It's going to be a big goal that you set, and you don't quite believe that you can do it, and you have to be someone new in order to get to it. So you guys, I want to know what that is for you. Like, truly, go message me on Instagram, tell me what that big goal is, because I see this for you. I'm so excited for you. You're so much closer than you think you are. You need to do the thing that's going to identity shift you and force you to committing energy in a disproportionate fashion to your comfort level that you become someone different and you do the big thing. And now you're somebody who did the big thing. You know what I'm saying? You can do this. If I can do this, you can do this. I'm sending you guys so much love. I really want to know the thing. I'm not even kidding you. If you're interested in coming into the program, check the link out below. I would fucking love to have you and love to work with you. For the next 5 weeks to dial you in and help you get paid for being a podcast guest. You guys, it's so much more than that. This is about dialing everything in, in your brand, your topics, your pillars, your brand messaging. Like, you're going to be an absolute ninja by the time you're done, and I cannot wait to see what you do with this because becoming an incredible podcast guest is a quantum leap move. If you are prepared and you land the right podcast, it can transform your entire business forever. You could be like Samantha Skelly, who came on my show and made an extra $100K in the first 30 days that the episode aired because she fucking nailed it. Or you could be like Natalia, who made an extra $20K over 10 months from one client who someone found her on my show. Or you could be like Jess, who made an extra $25K because she sold 5 $5K people from a program when the podcast first launched. Like, you guys, this isn't— I'm not just saying these are just testimonials. Like, this is not a lot of my testimonials. There's so many more. This could be you if you do it right and you don't waste these opportunities. So I'm sending you so much love. Go check out that link.
And I can't wait to work with you. Bye, everyone.
