Vape delivers CBD fastest through the lungs, tinctures held under the tongue come second, and gummies and capsules are slower because stomach acid breaks them down. Your body might respond better to one form than another, so try a few before deciding CBD doesn't work for you.

Good morning, talking hemp bioavailability today. I think it's an important topic that doesn't get discussed too much from people. And so there's a lot of confusion in the category around the different forms, what they do, why you should take one over the other. So just gonna do a quick walkthrough of the different forms and rank them on bioavailability. So first you have vape, not a super common one, um, from a hemp brand perspective. A lot of people get them locally at local shops, stuff like that. Um, so that is the highest bioavailability, so that one will be absorbed faster. You will get the effects quicker, but it does involve putting stuff into your lungs, which a lot of people want to avoid. So that's why it's not as popular as other forms. The next most bioavailable form is a tincture. So, um, hemp extract is fat soluble, so you basically, um, just combine the hemp extract with an oil, a stable oil. We use organic olive oil. A lot of people use MCT oil. You can use hemp oil, and then you hold it sublingually for about 30 seconds, and that has the second highest bioavailability. Um, third are ingestibles. So this is where you get into gummies, which have the next highest bioavailability. So you take a gummy, you eat it. Sometimes I suck on them just so you start to get that absorption in your mouth, but that has a slower release and availability than the other forms because it has to go into your stomach. You lose a little bit more through the stomach acids and digestion and that sort of thing. And finally, you have capsules, which are the slowest release form. Similar to gummies, you swallow them. You don't start absorbing in your mouth at all. You don't chew them up, so you don't break it down. So you swallow it. You have to wait for the capsule itself to get dissolved and then the CBD to process. So that one's the slowest. So what I always recommend with people is people do respond differently to the different forms. So if you try one and it doesn't work, it doesn't necessarily mean CBD doesn't work for you. It just might be that form. So try a different one. I— we sell gummies and tinctures, so I always recommend people try one of each of those and see what works best for you. So that's it. Drop it in the comments if you have any questions. Happy to talk further about this.
