Welcome to another episode, goal setting Mondays.
Which have turned more into motivation Mondays, Inspiration Mondays.
Mark, teach me and show me how to scale my business Mondays, Coaching Mondays. Call it what you will. I am so glad you're here.
My name is Mark. I teach the loan signing system. I teach notary public's how to make money.
A notary public loan signing agents.
In case you're here for the first.
Time, this is how it works. Every single Monday. I jump on, I just hit that little add camera button right here.
I jump on to Instagram, right where I bring you on camera with me.
Live so I can help you through.
Any problems that you're currently experiencing.
That's it. I go one by one, first come, first serve. So let's get started. Patricia, what's going on? Who do we have first?
Let's go to Richard and see if.
Rich you asked me on camera. I will hit invite.
You got to hit accept.
Jump on right out of the gate.
And say hello, Carrie, what's going on, Sylvia. Hello, nails by Carnita.
What's up, Richard? I just try to add you.
Doesn't look like you got added. So let's go to Corinne.
All right, Corinne, let's say hello. Align and sign. Hello. Greetings from Arizona. Be well for life. Hello. Blessings. Hello. How are you?
Good, how are you?
Oh, my God. It looks like you are also working.
So thank you for jumping on with me.
So, girl, talk to me. Where are you at in your process?
Where we are?
What can I help you with?
Yeah, I have been doing this since April and I took my first signing in July.
Okay.
And now I'm on 20 something.
Hold on, hold on. Let's give her a round of applause, everybody. She's up to 20. Drop her some clapping, girl.
So congratulations. So talk to me. Where are we at our thing? Where are we trying to get to? How can I help you today?
I just, I mean, mainly I want more signings. I try to do this before and after work as can I'm doing most of my signings are direct through like an escrow assistant. Let's see. And then I also get a lot through Snapdocs, but it's also through a direct client that like asks for me.
Okay, so here we.
I heard enough. I heard enough. Let me coach.
So first off, you know, I'm super excited for you. I mean, the fact that you're getting direct business this early on in your signing agent career is massive. So pat yourself on the back. I'm proud of you. I'm assuming you're a loan signing system student. That correct?
Yes.
Okay, cool.
So I was like, I'm talking about the same information. Couple things I want to coach you on right now. Okay.
Okay.
When you're trying to build a part time business, you have to start prioritizing the time you have to market. But also hear me on this to show gratitude.
Yeah.
So if you have an hour lunch break, at some point you need to start prioritizing. On my hour lunch break, I got to change the clothes in the car. I can go run over to my direct. I can bring them lunch, I can say thank you. I can hang out with them just for an hour. Remember what I teach you, Corinne. It's not always about digging wider, sometimes about digging deeper. So if you have current clients you're getting direct business from, then your goal to get more from them is to deepen your relationship. So what my coaching is, is I would literally bring more of a business outfit to work at lunch. At lunch, I would just literally make plans to go to an office you're already getting business from. But don't necessarily go for more business. Go just to create a deeper relationship. Does that make sense?
I have been.
Okay.
I go in there just to like say hi and I talk to a lot of the escrow assistants. But.
Well, so let me stop you there. Okay.
Then your next step is to move to the escrow officer.
Okay.
Right.
So if you're already doing a little.
Bit, I need you to go more. So what you should do then is bring the lunch into the escrow officer. Get the face again. Remember what I'm coaching on right now, Dig deeper. I didn't say dig wider. Digging deeper is going past the assistant. Are we on the same page?
Right, Right.
So if you're going to the assistant.
My coaching is go deeper and go directly to the eo. Now, this is not ignoring the assistant, but it's in addition to. So when you walk in, make it a point, an adamant point to get back to the eo. Making an adamant point to make sure you sit in there having a conversation with them. How was your weekend? What, what, what was it like? Are you busy this week? But what sounds like right now is you're doing an amazing job. Amazing. But you've got to go deeper. Okay. So if you, and it sounds like you already know that you have to go deeper. So now it's a matter of making it a point to yourself that when I walk in, because when you tell me that I'm talking with assistance, it already tells me, you know what you're not doing, but you can be doing.
Better, talk to them. It's just getting more. I mean, I get a lot more assistance than I do. I feel like I'm taking up too much of their time, I guess. And I guess that's probably why it's like.
Yeah, so, okay, so a couple things.
That I heard there is. You know, sometimes the biggest roadblock to getting more business is. Is your own mental roadblock. I mean, if you. You should never feel like you're taking up so much too much time if you're trying to bring value, right? If you're there actually trying to, hey, how's your week? And trying to get to know them too many times. Signing agency escrow officers as a way to get money versus a real human being. So, look, I'm guessing you have friends. I'm guessing that you know how to create relationships. So your goal is to go in there and not feel like you're taking up someone's time, but you're there to actually build a deeper relationship.
Okay.
Number two is, and I'm going to end with this, is make sure you're very adamant of going back and seeing the escrow officer. You have to make time for both. It's not either or. And I would say, lastly, Corinne, is get out of your head just a little bit, saying, like, oh, I'm taking up too much of their time, versus I'm here to bring value. Like, you're in there to, like, bring somebody lunch. Like, girl, you should sit down and have a conversation, right? If you're going there, trying to. If you're bringing someone bagels, like, have a conversation. Just don't, like, get in there and run, like, hey, how you doing? How was your weekend? Be a real human being. You know what I mean? So I'm going to end with this. So this is also goal setting Monday. So my goal for you is this week is to commit to me. You're going to bring in lunch to at least one of your EOs. I didn't say assistants. I said escrow officers. And then on top of that, I want you to commit to me that you're going to spend 5, 10 minutes with the EO just asking them how their day went, how their family life is, how their. Their. Their. Their weekend was, what plans for the weekend was, how was your kids? How was your husband? How was your boyfriend? Ask more personal questions and deepen that relationship. Can you do that for me?
Yeah, I can do that.
All right.
Can you. Are you going to commit to Everybody here, there's a couple hundred notary public loan signing agents on.
I want you to commit that you're.
Going to go drop off lunch to.
Somebody out of gratitude and you're actually going to sit and have a conversation with them at least one time this week.
Yes, I can commit that.
Girl, you're amazing. Let's build this big, big part time business. And the only key is deeper relationships. That's the only thing I can coach you on. So you got to make it more of a point to deepen those relationships. Be real, be human being, and let's go.
All right, slide into my DMs and tell me how it's going.
Okay, well, do.
All right, girl. Have a good day.
Work.
Bye. Oh, my gosh. Did you hear that, Corinne?
I mean, she's at work and so.
If there's anybody out here who thinks.
They can't do this part time or.
Is anybody out here who says I.
Can'T get direct business part time? Well, you just heard for Corinne. She is part time signing agent. Also building a direct business. What I just coached on I want everybody to hear is you can. You need to prioritize your time. Look, if you only have an hour lunch, then set your hour lunch aside to go market. Set your hourside lunch to go deep in relationships. Set your hours like it's about really prioritizing your business in order to get where you want to go.
So, Craig, thank you so much.
Krin, make sure you hit end video for so I can get somebody else on.
I thought that was an awesome, awesome moment with Corinne.
Let me get somebody else. Who else is here trying to.
Okay, let me get.
Oh, this is amazing.
Let's get Callie Goldberg a line and sign.
All right. Where's the line and sign?
Cool. I'm having a little bit of technical difficult send requests. Okay. I love it. That was so awesome.
I hope she inspired you part timers out here. Your part timers got to understand that you can.
Oh, what up? I totally wasn't expecting to get on. This is awesome. I'm so excited you're here. Thank you, thank you, thank you. What is your name and where are.
You from so we can tell everybody? Sure.
So I'm Kelly Goldberg and I live in Flagstaff, Arizona and I. Yeah, I bought your course last year and I started signing last May and then I got an awesome in house contract with a title company for two months and then that led to me becoming a loan officer and I'm actually just quitting my loan officer so I can do signings full time.
I hope everybody heard that. I mean, what the best part is.
Callie, is, you know, everybody sleeps in the notary. People want to be ellos. They want to be realtors, and the notary public loan signing agents are just crushing it. So, girl, let me talk about some goals with you here. I mean, look, I don't think a stretch for me to say. You probably have some escrow and title contacts just because you're. No. Right.
Yep.
Yeah.
So what?
Your job is to start seeding the separation of the two businesses, Right. Let them know before you cut it off that you're happening. And then what you should be doing in between now and then, before you actually are giving your two weeks or whatever, is make sure that you're building relationships deeper. So when the moment comes or like, callie, girl, I got you. You know what I mean?
Yeah.
And so here's my coaching. You ready? What makes people relate to you is your journey. Okay? So what I want you to say.
Is, as you're starting to tell people.
About this, going from a loan officer to a signing agent, let them in on how scary it is. Let them in on the nerves. Let them in on the real, real Cali. Does that make sense?
Yeah.
Because people want to support people where they feel like they're part of your journey. Does that make sense?
Oh, I love that.
And so if you're very. Cause a lot of people are like, put on this shell. Like, oh, no, girl, I'm gonna go be a notary public loan signing agent and pretend like you're not nervous. Right? Pretend like you don't got bills to pay. Pretend like, I don't know if you have children or a family, but if.
You can let people in a little.
Bit to the emotional side of your journey, okay, they're gonna be more. They're gonna be more grateful and willing to help you. Like, oh, my gosh. Like, do you have a family?
It's my fiance and I and our little dog.
Okay. Yeah. You know, girl, I'm so stressed out. We got a wedding coming up. I don't know how I'm gonna pay for it. Let them in on kind of the.
Emotional side of what you're doing and how big of a deal it is for you to make this jump. How scared is it? You have a brand new. You have a wedding that you have to plan, and you have. You know, I mean, girl, I got married about seven years ago. I'm sure it's way, way more expensive these year. These times.
That's my point. But let me in on that.
Does that coaching make sense?
It does. And that's not something I had, like, even considered at all. Um, and I'm having, like, my coworkers who are loan officers write me letters of recommendation to also kind of like deepen and solidify those escrow relationships, but that wasn't even part of it. I think I was struggling with myself of being like, oh, I've been a loan signing person before. I can just do it. But I'm actually kind of, like, really nervous.
Well, let them in on that.
Remember, people want to do business, people they can relate to, right? When people see you as someone they're helping and not someone they're just giving money to is when everything changes. You know what I'm saying? I mean, you know what I like to like?
What I.
What I do with you students is I let you know, in my career, my journey of my life, I try to bring you in because I want to bring you in, right? And so my point I'm trying to make is bring your clients in and you. Your. Your contacts in and everything changes. It's notary public, loan signing agents who try to pretend like a business relationship and a personal relationship are different. Those are ones who struggle when building and scaling a business. I could see that when it clicks that a business relationship is a personal relationship, marketing becomes easier. The conversations become easier. People look less like dollar signs and more like humans. And I promise you, when this transition will be easier if you bring people in like, oh, my gosh, I'm about to take this crazy journey. I'm gonna step out on my own. I'm gonna start my own business. I'm super ner. I'm not going to have guaranteed business anymore.
Like, I would say that. Let them in.
You know what I mean? And they'll be like.
They'll be like, girl, I don't know how you're doing this, but if I can help, I'm going to help you.
Because that's all people want to do, right? They want to help all each other and help you on the journey. So my goal for you this week, Callie, is to start formulating how you're going to start getting this message out to your would be clients. Let them in. Don't be afraid to be a little vulnerable. Okay? That's my. That's the last piece of coaching on the way out is the more vulnerable you are, the more relatable you become and the more somebody wants to actually help your business. So I want you to work on that. And hopefully today's coaching moment was awesome for you. Yeah. So helpful.
Thank you so much, Myers.
All right, well, keep me posted in my DMs. Let me know because, you know, I want to know. So anything else? I always got you, girl. But go get them.
And congratulations on the wedding and all that great stuff.
You. Bye. Bye. I hope everybody heard that.
You know, I mean, before I go on to the next student or signing agents, what I should say is, remember.
People want to do business with people.
Who they're connected with. And I'm talking about emotionally, not just financially. So if you can be vulnerable and let your clients in on what's going on, when your business, they actually don't see you as giving you money, but they see you as helping you and your family.
So I hope everyone heard that coaching.
With Callie, because that is really the difference between signing agent that's going to scale the $10,000 a month and a notary public loan signing agent who can't get past a couple thousand. It's letting people in, taking your walls down, building personal relationships.
So, Callie, good luck. You got this.
Jump off so I can get somebody else on.
All right, let me see who else.
I can get on here right now.
Let's get Monet. Oh, let's get Raul and then Monet. So where is Raul?
Excuse me there.
All right, Raul, jump on. What a great couple signing agents today. Every Monday, these get better and better and better. So I'm so glad you're with us.
For all of you guys who don't know, my name is Mark Wills. I teach notary public loan signing agents how to scale and create successful signing agent businesses. Every Monday, jump on these to help you live with hundreds of other notary public loan signing agents.
Okay, cool. So, Raul, I don't know where you went. My man on Christine. What's up?
What's up? Hi.
How are you?
I'm good.
Oh, my gosh.
I'm so excited. So many questions. But I know that you want to keep it, like, short.
A lot of people we got to.
Talk to today, but I'm going to coach you.
Give me something I can help you with. That's the most pressing issue that you have. And the floor is yours.
Okay, So I obviously, you know, I went to the thing in Vegas and so I've been trying to implement, like, going to title companies and I'm bringing, like, plates of cookies with my business cards and, and, you know, sending emails afterwards. I'm going to the meetups and it has been like, when I Don't get any messages back from anybody, or they.
Don'T contact me back or they're like, you know, we.
We can't do this right now. A lot of them say our escrow officers like to do their own signings and. And so get like discouraged. And then I'm afraid to reach out because I got rejection issues because, you know.
Yeah.
So I need like. I mean, I think that's probably enough information.
Okay. No, let's talk about a girl. First off.
It makes you feel any better. I coach a lot of notary public loan signing agents and like 99% of.
Them have rejection issues. So you're not alone.
It is scary.
It sucks. So, girl, do not feel like this.
Is isolated because if you, you, you know how big the group is. It's almost the most common theme is like, Mark, I hate the word no. I don't want to go in because someone's gonna tell me no.
So you're not alone.
Okay. That's the first thing I want to say. So don't feel that that makes you weird. In fact, it makes you more than normal.
Okay, a couple things, you know. You know, I want to go. I'm gonna give away some things that were at conference.
You were at conference. Let's talk about it. You know, a couple things, you know, Remember the escrow officer from Indiana who does in house closings? She blatantly told you that.
That is a blow off.
The escrow officers are not going doing signings in the evenings and weekends.
So it's an escrow officer. I hope everybody hears it.
If an escrow officer says we do in house closings or the escrow officers inside the office to closing, you go, great. Who are you giving the evenings and weekend appointments to? Because I'm sure you're not working a 12 hour day. So if one of your buyers or borrowers cannot come into the office during the day, I would love the opportunity to be your evenings and weekend signing agent.
Boom.
Problem solved. Number two, I want to jump to something Calvin said at conference. When Calvin says when a salt. When an escrow officer or title officer tells him no, he feels like he failed them. He feels like I didn't do a good enough job of saying selling my services. So what? Every successful, no matter what industry it is, they take accountability. And so what was powerful about that saying is he understands that if somebody tells him no, he did not make them realize yet why he should be the option if they ever get in a bind. That's called accountability. A lot of notary public loan signing agents will hear a no and like.
Oh, the market's saturated.
Oh, that title officer was rude. Oh, there's no business for me versus what a $20,000 notary public loan signing agent says, which is. That was my fault. I didn't do a good enough job of selling me.
I didn't do a good enough job.
Of explaining to them why they should give me a chance. You see the difference in mindset? We, me and you both know this girl, that every single signing where he lives, if it has a mortgage on it, has to have a signing agent. The business is there. So the question is, how do you make them believe in you? And that answer is the script. That answer is your previous experience. That answer is making them believe what you believe, that you are the best option for them. So remember, when you get blown off, quote, unquote, you have to look at yourself in the mirror and say, what could I have communicated better? And I don't know that answer because I wasn't at the one on one. When you're talking to me. Yeah, the first thing that should go through your set is like, okay, they blew me off. They told me no. What should I. What can I say next time that could make them believe in me more and then take notes? But dang it, I. Cause sometimes we get nervous times I walk in and we have all these amazing things to say, and we say three of them again, that's normal. And then a bunch of other stuff comes out. That is.
That's right. That's right. So. But what I want you to do.
Is take inventory of what you said. Does that make sense? Because you can't improve what's not measured. So when you get out of the presentation, Big man. Dang it, I forgot to say this. Oh, dang, I forgot to say that. And the next time you walk in, make that top of mind that you don't say, and you'll get better with each one. Does that make sense? Yeah.
Yeah.
Because I've been. I record when I just. So that I can get like any.
Names that they got or whatever.
So I have one more question.
Would it be creepy for me to.
You know at the offices where they've just repeatedly told me no to just like show up and. And like at 4 o' clock and be like, hey, you know, you guys have any closings tonight you need me to take care?
No, the answer is 100%. This is the top of mind business. You heard that at conference. So the answer is no.
But I don't Want to give away all the juicy stuff the conference.
But what I will tell you is remember this and hope everyone hears this is your job. The remember how the business works docs come in last minute. The notary gets stuck in traffic, the notary is stuck with the reader. Like this is a top of mind business, right?
Yeah.
So the point I'm trying to make is that's why follow up is so important.
Yeah.
So it's like I don't know if you are single or if you're married.
But like you have to think of.
Trying to get business from someone. Like dating. Like I had to date my wife for a year before she said yes for me to marry her.
Now that's a little bit dramatic, but.
The point I'm trying to make is maybe you need to go in two or three or four times before I say yes. I'll use you as a notary public loan signing agent. Discouragement is because of unrealistic expectations. The only reason you are discouraged is because you think someone should give you a signing after the second time you've seen them. Even though they don't know who you are, they've never seen your work. You're getting discouraged because you think someone should say yes to marriage after three dates. Does that make sense? So what I'm trying to help you with is your mindset going in is you have to see getting business, like literally a personal relationship. Does that make sense?
Like it's not a knock against you.
That somebody needs, you know, eight months of dating you before they're like, yes, I'm going to marry. It's not a knock against us. Right. So you shouldn't take it as a knock against you that an escrow or title officer may need to see you three, four or five times before you know what girl? Finally you give you a shot. Does that make sense?
Yeah.
So I have free time. Like I don't have hard, you know, signings have been slow with the signing services. I don't have any other job. My kid is 15. So like what, what can I do.
My best coaching for you right now? And look, I'm going to, I can give you 27 different things to coach on, but you rock and go do everything to improve. Right. So my best coaching give you right now is really try to work on your mindset because I think if you got past the discouragement, marketing would become easier. Like you know what to do. You went to conference your loan signing system student. It's getting you past the roadblock of like, oh my Gosh, you're not saying yes to me the second time I walk in. Oh, my gosh. Should I do? Your gut's gonna tell you what should do. You knew that you should go in at four, right? You needed me to confirm that when nine out of ten times your intuition is correct. Girl. But the only reason.
The only reason, by the way, you're.
Not trusting your intuition is because you have a mental roadblock of discouragement. So I want to try to get you past that first. Jump on another one. Obviously. Girl. Bring you on. We can ask more questions, but you're going to. I want you to work on this hurdle first. And then, because honestly, you know the X's and O's. You got the script. You went to conference. It's getting past this idea that someone's gonna marry you after two times of walking in. You know what I mean?
It's not a knock against you.
That's what you have to stop telling yourself. You know, it's.
It's not a knock against me that.
There are people watching right now. We're not loan signing system students. That's not a knock against me. You know what I'm saying? I don't take it as such. What I take it as is I need to prove to them why they should become loan signing system students. And I'll do it as long as it takes. But what I'm trying to coach you on is that needs to be your mindset. Does that make sense of like, look, I might need to go on three or four dates before they're going to say yes to marriage. It's not weird that they're not doing it right out of the gate. Right. The good notary public loan signing agents understand that watering their plants will sprout a garden, even though it may not sprout this week. Okay? You're amazing, girl. You know you are. I know your journey personally. So they just keep pushing. You got this. Like, you got it. You're amazing. Keep believing in yourself. Get past this idea that everything has to be done now. I know you need it now, and.
I empathize with that.
I get it. I get it. But the difference between someone who fizzled out of the business and someone who scales to 12, 10,000 bucks a month is just consistency. That's it, girl.
So you're amazing, you know? Anything at all. Go get them, girl.
Okay.
All right, let's go.
I'll see you next time.
All right. Bye.
Bye.
I hope everyone enjoyed that conversation. I mean, look, at the end of.
The day, I know that we want this business built tomorrow. I get it. But the difference between the signing agent who's able to scale this to $10,000 a month is just the more patient signing agent.
That's it. Right the way why I think this.
Business is easy is because as quick as signing agents come into the business, they fall out even quicker. Let me say that one more time.
As quick as, as quick as new.
Notary public loan signing agents come into this industry, they are falling out quicker. Why? Because most notary public loan signing agents want this bill overnight. When they're not making $5,000 in the first 30 days, guess what? They're gone. The signing agent who's able to be patient and consistent will grow this business. If you can just be a little patient with yourself, understand that you got a water your plants before they, before they grow, you're going to make so much money. But notary public loan signing agents get out of this business more and more furiously than signing agents who come in loan signing system students. Understand that you're not going to get fruit from the fruit tree the same day you plant the fruit tree.
So be patient, believe in you, and let's go. All right, who we got up next? Oh, my gosh, what a great day. So excited to be on here with you guys. Let's go to Lua.
Lois May sours.
All right, Lois, talk to me. All right, Lois May, when I hit.
The accept your invitation, make sure you jump on. Okay?
Lois, it looks like you're not there.
Let's go to somebody else.
Let's go to my man jd.
All right, jd.
Jd, are you there? Eric, what's up, us macho? What's up, Bill? What's going on? Let's go. Okay, so it doesn't look like JD's there.
So Mark, how you doing?
Oh, JD, you there?
How you doing?
Oh, my man.
I got my first, then my first signing this Saturday.
Everybody drop in my copy emoji.
I got, I got, I got two. I got two tomorrow, one on Wednesday. So I got, I got four coming up this week.
Hey. Hey. How's it feel?
It feels good. Feels good.
Hey, what did I tell you? I told you your time's coming, didn't I?
Yes, sir.
Yes, sir. I'm proud of you for sticking with.
And going through it before we get.
Into coaching in pull over or something.
I make sure that you are safe.
And then number two, I want to make sure our cell connection sticks so we don't have to drop. But dude, congratulations on this beginning. I Mean dude, you have a cash flowing business.
How's that feel?
It feels good. It feels good. Get it out the way. I feel official now.
I love it. Okay, so talk to me, man. What are the next steps?
What are our goals for this week? How can I help you?
My goal for this week is just to get better with like facilitating the documents and explaining a little better. I think I just struggle.
Let me stop them. Stop you there. Let me stop you there.
Great conversation, man. So here's what I want to coach you on, okay. Is speed and efficiency comes with experience, right? You cannot expect to be blown through it in 45 minutes because you've only done four. You know what I mean? Or two.
So I think a lot of new.
Notary public loan signing agents get frustrated with themselves because they're like, oh my gosh. I know there are signing agents who can do this and say 60 minutes, but they've been doing 300 closings, you know what I mean?
So what I'm trying to coach you.
On right now is put your blinders on, focus on you. Remember, you do not get paid more because you can do a signing in an hour versus two hours. Okay? You get paid more or you get more. Business is a better way of saying it when you don't make any errors. So as your coach, the only thing you should be focusing on is, is being error free, man. I don't care if a signing takes you two hours. Remember who you serve. You serve the signing service. You serve the lender, you serve the escrow officer, you serve the realtor. What do your clients want? An error free signing.
What do you want?
Quicker money. I get it, right? But if you can get rid of this me, me, me, part of your business and start focusing on what I can do to build their business, which is error free funding on time, no funding conditions. The money follows.
Right?
Right.
And so you know, the tough love coaching I want to give you right now is trying to focus on speeds. A little greedy, okay? Focus more on being a error free notary public loan signing agent. And then the money flows. You're going to get a ton more appointments, they're going to call you back. They're going to be like, you're, the, you're, you're, you're the most patient and calm signing agent we've worked with. Focus more on the back end and the money follows. And then efficiency will follow.
Okay?
You know, a lot of new students like Mark give me more tips and tricks. I'm like, I would hate to give you More tips and tricks on how to be quicker. Because then I'm failing you on what's more important.
Right?
What's more important is being error free, not being fast and efficient. You will find with time how to cut corners.
Right.
Naturally. You know what I mean? You might.
Oh man, just.
I knew that trick on my first signing, I'd shave 10 minutes off. Problem is I don't want you focused on that in the first 10 signings.
Right.
I want you because remember, my system was always meant to be a foundation for your system.
You will build your system on top of mine.
You know what I mean? You'll find like, oh, this is where I can cut corners. But dude, my coaching for today is just focus on being error free. That's it. Don't stack appointments yet. You know what I mean? I would give yourself at least an hour and a half to two hours in between for the actual signing time. You'll start shrinking that as your signings go up. My bet at, at 10 signings, you can start stacking them an hour apart. But until then, focus more on the skill set in your craft.
Right?
And then my man, the money's gonna flow.
Yeah, I'm only, I'm only doing, I'm only doing like, like, like three hours or four hours in return tomorrow. Mine's like that, but three hour time difference.
So good.
Right?
And I'm just going to just keep with that for, until I get more comfortable with, with like being error free. I don't think I made any errors on, you know, like, and like in the course you said make sure they fill out every document. So I did make sure they fill out every document was in the package. So I made sure they filled it out. Make sure they fill it out. Full signature. So I am confident that I did that correctly.
So hey, I'm proud of you, man.
So you might.
So the coaching for this week is put your blinders on. Put them on. Don't worry about the money. Don't worry about what other signing agents are doing. Don't worry about someone else can do it in 45 minutes. Just worry about being error free. You're going to get more business because I want you to get direct as soon as possible. And the way you go direct is being error free, not doing a signing 45 minutes. You know what I mean? So don't worry about the time that's going to come. I'm proud of you, bro. I'm going to end with this. I want some goals out of you. Okay? So here's the goals for this week. Every signing that you're doing, make sure that you are showing gratitude to the signing service. Say thank you. Create a deeper relationship. Don't just drop off the docs and cross your fingers for more business. Your loan signing system, student. We make things happen. We don't wait for things to happen. Okay? So create those relationships. Follow up with your clients and keep building, baby.
Let's go.
Let's go.
All right, man, hit me up in.
The DMs, let me know how everything's going. But you just focus.
I emailed a sign of service this morning. Just tell them thank you, you know, for the opportunity for my first one, so.
Perfect. Keep that attitude up. You're gonna crush his business, bro.
All right, you have a good one.
Oh, you too, man. Oh, my gosh. How exciting is that? All right, let's go with. I'm gonna try Lois May one more time. Lois May, are you there?
I hope I'm saying you're right. Lois.
Lois May say hello.
If not, I gotta jump to somebody else.
All right, I'm going to jump to somebody else.
Excuse me.
Who do we got here? Let me go to Jenitha.
What up?
Hi, Mark.
How you doing?
I'm so good. So tell everybody your name, where you're from, and let's get started.
My name is Janitha Grant. I'm from Greenville, South Carolina, and I. I just finished a course. So I'm done with the course now. And I just want to know, like, the next steps to go. I did sign up with eight signs signing companies, but I haven't called them.
Okay, cool. So my first coaching. Are you ready?
Yes.
Okay, so I'm giving you some coaching. Tough love here. Okay?
Okay.
So a lot of new students do 20% of the work and expect 100% of the results. So what I heard is a new notary public loan signing agent who said, mark, I signed with eight of the signing companies. My question to you is, how come you didn't sign up with all 300?
I haven't finished.
All right.
I just started, so I did.
Cool.
So that is the next step.
Does that make sense?
Yeah.
So the next step is, Janita, is to finish everything.
See, a lot of notary public loan.
Signing agents will do like 100. And like, okay, the way for the phone to ring, they'll do like 15. Like, okay, Mark, how come I'm not as busy as I want to be? And the answer is, and I'm not saying this is you, but I'm trying to coach you. Is you know, a lot of notary public loan signing agents want the phone to ring, but they're doing 25% of it, right? So what the next step is, is completing everything that I've instructed you to do. And I promise you the phone's gonna ring, but I can't promise you that if you're doing eight out of 300, right?
And what I love, by the way.
What I love, what I love, love, love, is you said, and you beat me to the punch is I haven't called them yet. So, girl, you know what to do, right? You got a script, you got the.
Words, you got the signing service, you.
Got the signing agent databases. So really the next step, and this is my coaching for you, is be methodical, right? So you know what I think? A lot of times new notary public loan signing agents get so gung ho that they almost get a little burnt out or they get overwhelmed. So, you know, you got a list of 300, right? So maybe you're signing up for 20 a day, right? Maybe what you're doing and I want you to figure out your own system. But here's the coaching. Maybe you're signing up for 20, you're calling 20, maybe you're signing up for 20, you're calling, you know, instead of doing like all 300 and then calling all 300, right? Less than the workload a little bit for yourself.
Try to get your, try to make.
The workload as less tedious as possible, you know what I mean? So, okay, maybe it's, you signed up for eight, you call eight, you know what I mean? Because I want revenue coming in as quick as possible, okay? Just make sure that you're taking, you know, the overwhelming goal and chopping up to bite sized pieces. So you're like, okay, now the phone's ringing. Now you're creating a little bit of momentum, right? Maybe you haven't got your first two or three notifications, but now the notifications are coming in because I want you to start creating momentum for yourself. So make sure that you are, you know, taking the list of 300, breaking it down into bite sized chunks. So my goal for you is to, you know, maybe sign up for eight, call eight, sign up for eight, call eight. Does that make sense?
Yes. So don't worry about the direct either because I did have first started, I had a direct that reached out that I did because I know, I'm real estate agent too, so I know realtors and so they had sent me one and I did one direct and I have been A witness for one also.
Hold on. You deserves your clout, girl. You already got your one out of the way. Let's go. Okay, so this actually leads me to.
Another point that I want to coach you on is marketing isn't black and white.
It is not.
I'm going to sign up for eight and call eight and I'm not going to work direct. I want you to create a system for yourself. So maybe it is 8 signing service. 8 call 1 market direct one day. Show gratitude. So the coaching I'm trying to help you with right now is when we get off this call, make a more strategic plan of how you plan building this business. Remember, there's also the live video strategy session with me. Make sure you jump on that.
That's included.
That's not more money. So when you jump on the live video strategy session, I also dive into this deeper. But we're on Instagram live. So the bigger point is don't run around like a chicken with your head cut off. Notary public loan signing agents who don't have plans or the signing agents who don't scale. Okay. It's not about all direct or all signing services. It's how do I divide my day up into marketing activities that are going to grow my business. So if you already have direct contacts and part put part of your day for that direct business. But it's not direct or signing services that make sense.
Okay. Yes, it's.
Yeah. Well, I'm glad you jumped on. That's the purpose of these. So this is also goal setting Monday.
So my goal for you is call at least 10 signing services this week. Introduce yourself, use the script. I tell you it works. You already know it works, but you just got to say it. Okay. So I want you to commit to ME and the 200 Notary Public Loan signing agents watching. And by the time this is done, there'll be like 4,000 signing agents walking. Commit to everybody. You're going to call these 10 signing service up. You in the script this week?
I commit to that.
All right.
And make sure you jump on the live strategy session with me one on one. So we can also. I can go into great detail. Obviously I can't do that right now on this coaching call, but make sure you do. That's included. Okay?
Okay. Thank you.
All right, girl. Go get them. Congratulations. All right. How awesome was that? I love talking to notary public loan.
Signing agents all over the journey.
Okay, cool. So let's go to non negative only positive.
I'm going to go on that because I love that name. I'm not going to lie. So positive. Only people always ask me, what do my tattoos say? That tattoo says thoughts become fixed.
Oh, what's up?
Hey.
Okay, first off, best ig name ever. You're welcome. Okay, cool.
So say your name and where you're.
From and let's get into some coaching.
Yeah.
So my name is Daisy and I'm in Connecticut. It is my first time on your live. I've been following you for a while and I'm trying to become a loan. Like a notary. Like a notary. But I have no idea where to start.
So I was.
Thank you so much for following me. It's an honor to be part of.
Your journey even you know, I'm just thankful, you know. So here's my coaching for you. And this is for anybody who is new being looking into being a notary public loan signing agent, looking at my course or any course. So what I would coach you on is this. Find a trainer that resonates with you. I'm not the only notary public loan signing agent trainer out there. I will never talk down about another notary public loan signing agent trainer.
I think they are all awesome. I think they all have an amazing.
Skill that they can, they can share with their followers. But what I don't want you to do is try to figure out this business on your own. What's next should be finding a trainer and asking the trainer, tell me what to do. Too many new notaries like yourself or people in the business, you almost get a little bit of analysis equals paralysis.
You do all this research on the.
Internet, you follow all these trainers and nothing's moving a business forward.
So at the risk of sound like.
A salesperson because I don't want you, you know, I would, I would love an opportunity to be your coach. But even if it's not me, pick somebody. So that's the next step. Research all these amazing trainers. There's so many great YouTube channels and again, I have nothing but amazing things to say. Every single one is amazing. So whoever you choose, I know you're going to be in right hands. But again, the best coaching I can give any anybody looking to join the industry is stop trying to do this business on your own. Try to hire a coach. It's 2021. There's no reason you should be doing this by yourself. So just figure out someone that you can connect with. You're like, hey, I love this person's personality. This person doesn't jive with me. Look, I'm not everybody's cup of tea.
That's okay.
I am just me. So find someone you resonate with and build the business. And so that's my recommendation on the next step. Okay, Find somebody and then pick up the phone, talk to them like, hey, what is the next step? Everything I do is to help you grow business. But that's my, that's my. Hopefully that was an okay answer, what.
I think your next step should be.
So I have decided to go with you. But what I'm confused about though was when I go on your site, it says loan signing system. And I'm trying to become first a notary, right? And so because I'm in an attorney state, so I know I, you know, I, as an attorney state, I might be able to do loan signing.
I got you, girl. I got you A to Z.
So just when you go into my course, thank you so much for choosing me.
I, every time I get a new.
Student, like, I'm honored, I'm humbled, I'm blown away by it. So thank you so much. My course will tell you in the course, you know, I have a lot of channel partners in this industry. So my course will tell you who I think you should get your notary commission with. I have Connecticut students, I have attorney state students. Like, girl, I got you A to Z. So once you pick, get my six figure course and then I will connect you. I will tell you, I will literally tell you the next steps on getting your notary commission, who I think you should get it with. All that's covered in my course. So once you get it, then you'll get access to me whenever you want. Shoot. You can DM me if you want, student or not. But yes, no, I got that covered, girl. I got the whole thing covered.
Okay, so do. Which website do I go to? Book this one.
Yeah. Loan Signingsystem.com I will message you it.
But it's just loans on theseystem.com go to get the courses and then get the six figure course. If you use the payment plan, you get the entire course with the payment plan. So I do that to help people with their finances because I know you're launching a business.
So yeah, so girl, I got you.
I don't hold anything back with that first payment.
But hey, thank you so much. I mean, I'm honored that you'd like.
Me to work with you. And my commitment to you is I will be here every single step of the way. So anything you ever need, I got you. I think a lot of my Students will tell you I'm available as much as you want to reach out to me. So it's an honor. Go get them, and let's build a business.
Yay.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
I hope everyone loved that conversation. Look, you know, I have time for.
One more student, but, you know, for you watching, who are notary public loan signing agents yet, my best advice is just to find a trainer you resonate with. There's no need to be trying to build this business on your own. Pick somebody who you love from a personal standpoint, from the reviews, from the testimonials, and go with that trainer. There are so many amazing trainers. So many people have so much experience to share. So I just encourage you to go.
Out, find somebody, but let's get someone else on right now. All right, so I'm gonna go with Lisette.
Let me see if I can find you Lisette.
Lisette, I don't see you on here. Let's go with Bill. I'm gonna go with Bill Galleon. All right, Bill, I just pinged you.
To see you get on, so I'm so excited.
Oh, Bill, my man. Oh, we got two people. Okay, this is great, because I. This. This is the last session of the day, so I'm going to talk to both you gentlemen at the same time. So, Bill, let's go with you, man.
Where.
What part of the country are you are.
And then, Marcus, I'll go to you. So, Bill, where are you at?
I'm in Redlands, California.
Oh, man. You're right up the street from me. I love it. I love it. Okay, so where are you in your journey? What can I help you with today?
Well, I took the test, and I failed it the first time.
Okay.
We're getting back to studying and. Excuse me. Taking it again. So that's where I'm at. But I got.
Okay, good. So here's.
Here's. Let me use the coaching. This is great.
I love. I'm getting everybody on the.
On the journey trained today.
So, you know what I would tell you, and maybe Marcus can jump in.
Is, you know, repetition is the mother of learning. You know what I mean? So my thing is to go back to the course, but instead of going through each module just to get to the next module, repeat the same module. Does that make sense? So when you get to, like, the adjustable rate mortgage module, go through it, finish it, and then go back, I think a lot of times students kind of, you know, they read, they.
They do it like.
Like a Book, right? They chapter one, chapter two, chapter three, chapter four. But I'm like, when you ever.
Have you ever finished a book before only to only.
Chapter one, you know what I mean?
I would tell you to go back.
Read re, watch each chapter maybe two or three times and then go to the next module. Does that make sense?
Yeah. Yeah. Cool.
But look, I'm excited for you, Bill.
So you know what I will tell you is our Southern California ambassador is out of Redlands. She does about $50,000 a month, my man.
So you're in a good market.
I'm excited. Once you kind of get your certification.
Up, I'll tell you how to reach.
Out to Kim and all the signing service owners. She has a very big signing service in Redlands. So I'm excited for you, man. But remember, the best coaching I can give you right now is don't be in a hurry to get to the next module. Stop, rewatch it, watch it, rewatch it. Does that make sense?
Yeah. So the definitions that got me.
Yeah, I know.
They get everybody. This is a. This is a real business, brother.
You know what I mean? So just excited you're here, man. And you can sit here and listen to me talk to my man Marcus.
Alrighty.
How are you?
Hey, how you doing?
I'm good. You're on with me and Bill today. So. So, hey, listen, give me some updates.
On the journey, where we at, how.
Much business have we been getting?
Talk to me.
All right, so here we go real quick. Just so you remember. It's Mike, actually, but it's all good. No worries. It's all good. So check it. I got my goals right here. So I'm trying to call more signing services to follow up with them. Like you said, that's something I haven't been doing a better job at. I want to Also update my LinkedIn with my notary info because I haven't done that. That's another free medium that I'm not using. I got a bunch of emails. I went this week. I went and dropped off several. I went to about six title offices. So I got a stack of cards, I dropped off a big stack of cars that I need to send emails and follow up to. So that's what I'm doing today. I've been on my job board.
So first off, I want to say, you know, like I tell you students, the hardest thing for me to do is to teach effort, Mike. Crushing the effort, man. So I want to say I'm trying. Yeah, I'm proud of you. So I just Want to make sure I point that out.
But the best part about talking through.
Some of you coaching your students is I hear you almost thinking out loud on what you need to do. So I mean, honestly, my only coaching is don't get overwhelmed with your follow through without time blocking. So what I want you to do right now is I heard three different things that you need to do. I heard LinkedIn, I heard follow up, SSS, I heard title companies you to follow up with, right? So instead of trying to do all three today, you should time block, right?
So I'm going to focus on LinkedIn.
From 2 to 3pm Everything else is out of your mind, off your plate.
You know, companies that's off. So all you can do is focus.
On for one hour on LinkedIn. If you actually dropped everything else and.
Only focus on LinkedIn, you would crush LinkedIn.
You know what I mean? But the problem, I'm on the job board right now. What happens a lot of time, Mike, is you start and then 15 minutes later you jump to the next thing. 15 minutes later you jump to the next thing. Does that make sense? So what I need you to do is I need you to time block the rest of the week, or at least the rest of today. So you get off of here. You're like, okay, cool, I'm gonna spend the next hour with following up a signing service, nothing else. Like, I don't want you looking at those title business cards, I don't want you looking at LinkedIn. And then start time blocking the rest of your day.
And you'll get through that to do.
List much more efficient. And that creates momentum. Sometimes we get so discouraged because the end of the day happened if we accomplish like four things instead of accomplishing 18 things because you're running around without a plan. So my coaching for you is when we get off here, just write out your schedule over the next like four hours of today. Maybe write out your schedule for, you know, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and be like, cool, Tuesday, I'm gonna. Because honestly, you should not be worrying about just LinkedIn. It should be Facebook, it should be Instagram, like you learned at conference.
But if you're not time blocking any.
Of those, that's why it's not getting done right. You've been back from conference for two or three weeks now. You should have taken care of LinkedIn three weeks ago, but you just aren't time blocking it.
So that's okay.
That's what the coaching sessions for. So everyone, you know what I did.
Since conference, you know what I Did I. I needed to go through those 300. I finished those 300. I also. And I need to. I still got to reply to a bunch of them and. And, you know, send them.
So.
So that what I'm hearing, the best.
Help I can give you. It's time blocking. Like, you know, I know you got a barber business, right? So I know you got your other things, but make sure that, you know, because you have your other business, that you're really. When you only have an hour, you're utilizing the hour, the max efficiency.
Instead of being like, I got an hour.
What do I do? You're like, I know what to do.
In this hour because it's written down.
On my planner and knocked it out. That makes sense. So.
No, totally makes sense.
That's my coaching for you, bro. Be a little bit more efficient with your time. Time block. Write it down. What is written down usually is accomplished. So make sure you write down your days, and let's keep building, baby.
I'm so proud of you, man.
Hey, I appreciate it. I will be honest with you. What you said a second ago was really poignant because it is every week, it's not going to be super busy. And last week, I wasn't as busy as I wanted to. I did a lot of marketing, so I'm trying to stay motivated and keep marketing.
You got it. I mean, look, I'm going to end.
With this because the hour is up. I'm going to end with this, man, is as a business owner, I didn't call you a notary public loan signing agent. I got your business owner.
You run another business.
So you know this as well as anybody if you think every single week's going to be busier than the week before. You're not a business owner. That is not a real mindset. You got to understand that business goes like this. Up, down, up, down.
That's business.
You're going to have weeks where the.
Phone'S ringing off, though.
I have weeks where I get 25 new students and I have weeks where I get one that I would.
It would. I would drive myself insane if, like.
How come I didn't get 26 students this week? Because I got 25 last week. That's not real. You know what I mean? What is real is every single week, I give the same effort. Every single week, I give the same effort on building a business, which is training, signing agents. And some weeks I'm going to hit 25 students. Some weeks I'm going to hit two. But my effort doesn't change. Do you hear me? And Bill, did you hear me on that? You both hear me on that? Your effort needs to stay consistent and your results will be large.
So with that being said, gentlemen, go freaking. Get them out of here. Be blessed. I'll see you guys on next week's live. Thank you, everybody, for being here. I'm Mark. I teach a loan signing system and.
Understand that I believe in you.
Yes. Let's go. Let's go.
Sam.
