Great question. I'm going to cover that in this video in depth. There are four major places where notaries should be going to get their loan signing business. So let's cover the most popular one. The number one way for a notary public loan signing agent to get business is through something called signing services. Signing services act like a broker between the escrow and title company and the actual notary public. So the signing service owner will go to the title company, say I want to get all your loan transactions. Once they get the loan transaction, then they find a notary to assign to that appointment. That's the most predominant way notary signing agents get business in America. But how do you get signing service business? The answer is simple. You sign up directly with signing agent databases. There are four predominant notary public loan signing agent databases in America. Snapdocs, signing order.com, notary- and notary cafe. Now there's a handful of other websites, but those are the four that you're going to want to be signed up with in order for signing services to find you as a notary signing agent. You also have the option of signing up with signing services directly. So how do you find a signing service? Just Google signing services near me you can Google signing service and the name of your state signing service, the name of your city signing service, the name of your county. They'll pop up and you can also sign up directly with them. The signing services, all the marketing, you just have to learn how to get found by the signing service. There's three other ways which requires a little bit more effort but are more lucrative and that's going directly to the title company themselves. You can always approach any title company America and pitch them on why you should be their option for a local notary to go over the paperwork with their borrowers. The second most common place for a notary signing agent to get business is directly through the title and escrow companies themselves. A signing service owner markets directly to title and escrow. So can a notary public loan signing agent. So you don't need to rely on the signing service to give you business if you know how to market directly to escrow and title companies. So a lot of notary public loan signing agents don't realize you don't need to go through a signing service to get business because you can go directly to the same place a signing service owner gets the exact same signings to give you the number three way to get business as a notary public loan signing agent is approaching loan officers directly. Loan officers can handpick the notaries on their transaction. So that means loan officers lenders are a great place for a notary public loan signing agent to get business. And the fourth place notary signing agents should be looking for business is through real estate agents. Just like loan officers, real estate agents can pick their own notary signing agents for their closings. Real estate agents also hire the escrow company. So you can bypass the escrow company, go directly to real estate agent and let them know that you want to be their notary signing agent. Quick tip. The lender and the realtor have the power to choose their own notary. So if you have a family friend who's a realtor, a family friend that's a loan officer, all you got to do is be like, hey, I'm a notary signing agent. Can you get your favorite escrow officer to use me on any of your future deals? Because the escrow officer works for the lender or works for the real estate agent, 9 out of 10 times the title escrow officer goes absolutely, I'll use it. Make sure you get that notary to come in my office. It is a surefire way to get business by leveraging the lender or the realtor to get in contact with the escrow company.
