I always get the question of Mark, how can you look me in the eye and tell me there's business for me? Because I know there's other notaries where I live. This is an on call business. No matter how long your escrow officer has been working with a specific notary, that notary cannot be at more than one 7 o' clock appointment per day. So if the escrow officer has two clients who want to sign at 6 o', clock, they have to have a backup. I get emails. Well, Mark, I walked into a title company and they told me they had a notary. I'm like, did you not think they had a notary before they walked in? They were in business before you walked in. But since you're an educated notary, you literally go, oh, I know the notary you currently are working with is amazing, but I also know your amazing notary goes on vacation, get sick, double booked, stuck in traffic, and you might need a backup. You'll be a point in your career where you're going to be so busy you can't take every appointment. So all you are doing is running around your town and letting every title officer know you are more than happy to be the backup. And if you do that enough times, guess what someone's going to do? They're going to be like, Maybelle, I see your card on my desk, I'm in a bind, can you bail me out? And the moment you bail them out is when you now have backdoored their primary notary and you got to create a real relationship. So the reason there's business for you in 2025is because it's an on call business.
