Hello from New York City in Washington Park. Taking in the sights. Walking the streets in New York. Taking it all in. So how come I'm in New York? Love you. May or may not remember that on Christmas day last year, I was in the hospital by myself. I had an infection on my Achilles rupture surgery site and literally didn't know if how to get my foot amputated or how bad the surgery was. I was in the hospital by myself on Christmas day without my son, my wife needing to come by because they only allowed one person in there during COVID It was literally the lowest that I've ever been in my life. And there's a lot of reflecting moments I had inside that hospital, needless to say. So one of the biggest moments that I had was remembering why I chose to be a business owner. Why did I decide to put in all the hours of work and deal with the rejection? And it was because I wanted freedom, I wanted flexibility. And so I found myself, I've been so busy working and keeping my head down that I realize what I was doing this for. And it was for my family. It was for the ability to be like, you know what, let's just go to New York and let's work from New York. It's the freedom that businesses give you. And so, you know, I want you not to forget why you chose to be a business owner. I know sometimes it's so easy to keep our head down and focus on, I want more business, I want more signings, I want more revenue. And it's easy to forget why we chose to be a business owner. It's for your family, it's for the freedom, it's for the flexibility. It's for the fact that you don't need to ask anybody to go on vacation for but yourself. So I encourage you to remember why you want to become a business owner. Keep the why at the forefront. Don't get lost in the minutia of building a business. Get lost in the minutia of remembering your family and why you wanted to build this business. And I love hearing the honks. I'm sitting there. They're just the people. The energy of the city is amazing. And I'm only be able to experience the energy of the city because I remembered why I chose to be a business owner. So remember why you're building your business. It's not for the money. The money is great, but it's really for the freedom and the flexibility. So if you remember why you're building it, building actually becomes easier and unfortunately for me, it took me being in the hospital on Christmas Day to remember that. This is why I chose to build the business. It was to give my family opportunity, give my family experiences and you can do the same thing. But sometimes we get lost in building a business and forgetting why we're doing it. So I wanted to remind you, your family, the freedom, the flexibility is why we chose to be business owners. So I don't know if you needed this. Hear this, but remember your why. Remember, it's not always about working, working, working. It's also about doing self care. It's also about. There's a big saying in my family that we use in our house to spend money on experiences, not things. I know too often we get caught up trying to buy the next best watch, trying to buy the next best purse, trying to have the nicer car than our neighbors, when at the end of the day, none of that matters, man. What matters is experiences that you have. What matters is experiences that you share with your family, that you have individually. And so what we are going to do for the next three weeks is live in New York City like a local. I'll be working, helping you build the business. And so like I was saying, in conclusion, don't get lost in the minutia. So I'm sharing that with you because it was probably the lowest point in my life, but now I'm choosing to have a whole new respect and outlook on life. Look at this. New York City. Follow me. It's going to be amazing. Let's go.
