Notaries can only charge $10 in my state. How are they making $150 per appointment?
Well, Mark, as a notary, you can only charge $2.50, $10, $15 stamp, whatever it is in your state. But the secret about being a notary and the income opportunity is in the travel fees. And that's what people don't understand is you can negotiate. I'll travel to your location for $50, $60, $100, whatever it is, while I get there. I can only charge you $10 per signature notarized or. But I'm going to charge you $10 on top of a travel fee. And a lot of people don't realize that on the outside, they're like, oh, well, notaries only make $2.50 a stamp, again, whatever it is in your state. But what they're not understanding is you can charge a travel fee to get there. What they're not understanding is you can charge a skill service like a notary public loan signing agent. Right? A loan signing agent charges for the skill of walking through 150 pages not per signature, notarized. Or wedding officials will only charge $15 for the actual signature on the wedding license or. But then they'll charge $100 for performing the actual wedding. And that's what people understand. There's a skill set around notarizations that people get paid very handsomely for, by the way, and it's truly the best kept secret in America for income because of that. Because remember, there's 1.2 billion notarizations. Every single one of those are opportunities to not only charge for the signature notarized, but for the service that's provided around that notarization. And that's why being a notary is the best kept secret in America for income opportunities.
