Marketing 101 is finding leverage points and then using that to garner business. That's literally business 101. What are you doing for work, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm a deputy sheriff.
Oh, man, thank you for serving your community, man. I love that we have a sheriff who's a part time notary public loan signing agent. So I appreciate your service to the community. But look what I would tell you. And by the way, the reason I asked that is because I think you can leverage your being a sheriff in your community for more direct business. See, in my opinion, so a lot of reason, like we have a lot of part time notary public loan signing agents who are full time teachers. So they walk in and they're like, hey, I'm a teacher, but I do this nights and weekends. And all of a sudden there's like debtness because we all love our teacher. And then we also know that teachers sure ups firefighters, they don't get paid enough for what they do. So there's also like, oh my gosh, I want to help you and your family. You know what I mean? I think what I'm trying to tell you is leverage that. So I would walk to a networking event or even open houses for this weekend and like, hey, I'm a part time signing agent because my full time jobs are sure of. And they go, oh, you're a sheriff? Yeah, yeah. I'm trying to make ends meet all the time. I try to get on the nights and weekends of being a signing agent that will hook them to help you. They're like, okay, you see what I'm saying? And then plus the fact that you're a sheriff tells them a lot of things. You're full of integrity. Right? You can be counted on, you'll show up on time. And so it's leveraging the things that they would expect from a shirt into your signing agent business. So when you're pitching them to use you, like, look, I'm a sheriff, so I know what it's like to be on time. I know what it's like to need to be full of integrity. I know it's really what it's like for being an outstanding member of community, you know, So I would leverage those things, man. And the fact that you're a serve, I'm telling you right now, you will crush the direct business. Same thing with our teachers. I tell them, walk in there, say your teacher, we know teachers are underpaid, we know sheriffs are underpaid. You put your life Literally on the line every single day.
Yes, sir.
Your future clients know that too.
Right?
So leverage that. So I think you can actually crush the direct business by just leveraging that. You're a sheriff, but leverage what you do for the community for more business, man. Look, okay, I would also tell you. So what I tell our students that are veterans is I would go find someone in your town who specializes in veteran business. Because then that's the low hanging fruit, right? You're a shura. My guess is there probably credit unions out there that work with law enforcement. Am I correct?
Right.
So what you do is you walk in there and say, hey, I'm active duty law enforcement, but I'm also a part time notary public loan signing agent. I think it'd be awesome that a sheriff signs another sheriff. And that's the low hanging fruit. You see what I'm saying?
Okay, okay, okay, yes, yes, definitely.
Keep your brain working on how can I leverage my day job for the part time business. Just the fact that you're a sheriff walking into an open house saying, you know, hey, I'm a part time notary public loan signing agent, full time sheriff of the community, but I'm just looking to make a little bit more money. I'm just trying to figure out how I can help you for your weekend business and nights business. Dude, crush it. I mean, honestly, I tell all you students, like the veterans too, that are watching, like, I think you should leverage what you do for America and your community specifically. And people want to help you out, but people can't help you out if you're not telling them what you do. So I would tell you stop worrying about the platforms, start worrying about direct business more and then start leveraging the fact that you're a sheriff in town. You deserve more, brother. I'm saying that anyone who's law enforcement, anybody who runs into a building, everybody runs out of my opinion. So I would leverage that, though I wouldn't be shy to leverage that. I would actually go all in on that and say, look, I love serving the community as a sheriff by day, but I'd also love to support the community by being a local notary public loan signing agent, helping people with the American dream. And so, dude, I leverage the fact that you're a sheriff over the place, go to more networking events, say that you're a full time sheriff, part time signing agent. Does anybody know any realtors? Anybody know any lenders? Because I love to supplement my income being a sheriff, you know, because, you know, I'm taking much OT as I can get, but you know, it Never Hurts making 150 bucks on a weekend.
Exactly.
So leverage that Franklin and DM me, man, if you're getting any actions out there, because I want to help you again, bro, thank you for what you do for your community. And I think you'll get a lot of response from the local community members saying the same thing like, dude, thank you so much for putting your life on the line every single day for us. And so, yes, the least we can freaking do is connect you with the realtor. The least I can do is give you my next signing appointment. So let me know how that goes. But don't be afraid to do that. That's what marketing is. By the way. Marketing 101 is finding leverage points and then using that to garner business. That's literally business 101.
