If you're brand new to this series, every single Monday of the week, I go online to help you set goals for the following week. Because remember, a notary public loan signing agent that just have goals but does not have an action plan, well, that's just a dream. So I'm here every week to help you set goals and inspire you to do more and have you and motivate you and come with help you with any problems you may be having in your business. So again, excited to be here Goal Setting Monday. So excited. Somebody jump on and let's talk about your souls. Your goals be signing. What's up? What's up? What's up? What's going on, everybody? So if you're brand new to this, you just simply add the add button. Looks like people are already jumping on. This is amazing. All right, vault one, let's go.
Hey, what's going on?
First off, I'm glad I got you on here live. And dude. All right, I just want to say I'm proud of you, man. I mean, the growth that I see you made from, from the we had when we had our one on one mentorship to where you are today, bro, you are an example of true stride and steady. Every single day you're doing something to move your business forward. So I hope everyone is inspired by you, man. But you know how this rolls. We got plans for this week. Talk to me. What are they, man?
Plans this week? I've already went marketing to Fidelity national today. I got a meeting with the business vice president tomorrow, Escrow senior escrow officer. And then I just have a bunch of custom home builds this week. I'm really swamped right now. I'm looking Forward to get 10 this month. This is my birthday month. My birthday was last Saturday. But like, I'm just really.
Happy birthday, man. Happy birthday. So let's break that down. Okay. What you just kind of rattled off to me is kind of every entrepreneur's mind right inside of like, I got 15 different things. But what I want to try to get you to do is get, get that mind more organized. Right? You said you have all these home builders. See, what I was hoping you could tell me when you said that sentence is I'm going to go to KB Homes today at 1. I'm going to go to John Home Builders 2. It's taking this huge goal and breaking down the actual items so you know that you're not missing anything. So you know what I wanted to do is try to try to help you declutter your entrepreneur, your mind. And I know you have a ton of things that you want to hit, but the questions are, how are you going to hit them? Because you need a little more tactic to make sure that not only did you hit everybody you've been marketing to, but like, you know, fortune is in the follow up, right? What I don't want to be really busy notary public loan signing agents like you are super gung ho. You tend to have a tendency to drink. Dig wider, not deeper, right? Every week it's like, Mark, I got to hit new places up. I got to hit this new builder up. I got to hit Fidelity title up instead of slowing down. Like, okay, what marketing activities that do last week and how can I do the follow up technique this week? Plus doing signings, plus trying to go to home builders. So what I want you to get, man, is just a little more organized on your Sunday evenings. So when you wake up on Monday, you kind of have a game plan already written. So it's not like, oh, Mark, I got home builders, I got fidelity, I got 14 follow up. It's like, look, this week I got to follow up with the four people I hit up last week. This week I got to make a game plan ahead of the builders this week. You know, So I want you to get a little more organized on your marketing strategy because that's really the difference between a 10k earner and like a $7,000. Just a little bit of organizations really the key for getting your business from like here to here. I'm not talking from here to here. I'm just talking about that moment momentum that's going to take your business at 10k level. Let's talk about a few things right now. Okay? First thing, okay, you got home bills. Would you know the name of the home builders? Do we have times we're going to hit the home builders up? Talk to me on that.
Well, so my home builder, this is one that I'm already in with. They, this is just like they, they share a calendar with me and I go out and do their closings. So what I saw, what I was really meaning by that, just saying that, you know, I just already have work scheduled with these home builders every, every day. Well, at least starting tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday. And what I'm saying, like now it's kind of like a, you know, I'm accepting what I can from bank serve right now. But it's just like you said, I'm trying to get organized on following up with who I need, what, what I'm going to actually do as far as Fidelity national and other title companies that I'm just trying to get to. So that's really what I was trying to get to you. But I was just a little bit too. A little bit too, you know, hype coming on.
Okay, cool, cool, cool. Let's talk about. So I heard a lot of great things from you, man. The first thing I want to talk about is, you know, as you're starting to get business from these builders and clients, I want you to start factoring what we call an lss, Gratitude. Right. A lot of times we only go by the builders when we have business to give us. The only time we go by our clients and their business to build us, give us. What I want you to start doing in your week is to factoring in. Like, I want to pop in just because I want to say thank you. Just because I'm dropping off lunch, just because I want to give you a high five. Because the insincerity starts building when you only show up when there's business. Exactly. So I want you to start factoring in times in your week where I'm going in just to say hi, I'm going in just to talk about your weekend. I'm going in just to give you lunch to say thank you for the business the previous week. Don't want you getting into the habit of only showing up when they have business to give you. Does that make sense?
That makes all the sense in the world.
Yes, sir.
Cool.
So start figuring out in your days, in your week of like, okay, every Tuesday, I'm going to go ahead up, you know, this builder, this title company who's given me business just to say hi. No other reason. Now, if you walk out with maybe a signing, that's a win. But the purpose of going in there is not to walk out with the signing, is to walk out with a deeper relationship. So as you're doing all this marketing activity, I don't want you to lose sight of the gratitude that really helps grow your business and part of the digging deeper mantra that we Spock will speak about. So what I want for this week from you is in your calendar, start figuring out what days and times can you start Gratitude. But more specifically, man, who you're going to gratitude with. Right? So maybe it looks like this Monday I'm going to go ahead of Fidelity Title. Tuesday, it's the home builder. Wednesday, it's that one title company across town. You know, on Monday, you're doing this, you know, on Tuesday, you're doing this, you know, on Wednesday, you're doing that. Does that make sense?
Makes all the sense.
And then when you start gratitude, more than all of a sudden, your relationships get deeper. Before you know it, you're getting more. More business, more, et cetera. You know what I'm saying? So this week's schedule, this week's goal for you is start putting in gratituding or relationship building is another word into your schedule. And you don't lose sight of it. Because if you're getting business from that builder man, they need to see you outside of business only environments so they know that, like you're super juiced on the business, so they know you're trying to build an authentic relationship. That makes sense.
Exactly. Makes all the sense in the world. Thank you for those golden nuggets.
You're welcome, man. Okay, so your goal for this week is not only to hit those up, but start creating a really good calendar. Yeah. And what I don't want you to do, I'm going to end with this, Vaughn. I don't want you trying to hit gratitude all in the same day. So it's not like builders on Monday, a title company at 10am, you know, loan office or 12, try to separate the days because you don't get you what happens too often. The notary public, loan signing agents throw everything in on Monday. Yeah. And all of a sudden, you know, four signings pop up out of nowhere. You don't gratitude anybody. And it takes four weeks to start hitting those people up for gratitude.
Yep.
So try to divide it into different days so, you know, you can for sure hit them and nothing pushes your schedule back.
Yes.
Cool. Correct.
That's right. And I, I do want to just say one last thing that you were, you know, saying that calendar deal. That's funny that you say that because I just got a calendar and yet last night and I'm. This morning I was already going in it. So that's, that's just, it's just more confirmation, you know, still just like more, you know, getting me more, you know, forward on that.
So. Yeah.
Thank you so much on that.
You're so welcome, man. And I'm gonna end with this. And everyone who could, anyone who could, could, could hear me on this. You know, you're really in the growth mode of your business. Right? You're. Yes. Every day you're doing something, just make sure it's organized chaos and not just chaos.
Exactly.
And your calendar will turn it from you know, turn into an organized chaos. So you're hitting everybody, you're falling up with, everybody you're doing signing still. All right, man. Keep me abreast in the messages, bro.
Oh, yeah.
Thank you.
See you in July.
See you in July. See you. Four weeks. All right. All right, cool. So excited to get it all with Vaughn. I mean, look, so, so many of you students, I have really good message relationships with Bonds, one of them always keeping me updated on what he's doing, what's going on. So I appreciate that. And all of you, so jump on. Someone else jump on. Bond's gonna jump off. Who do we got next to get Jennifer Cooper up and then day by now? So, Jennifer, let's get you on right now. Perfect. All right, so again, this is goal setting Monday. Welcome. If this is your first episode, this is where notary public, loan signing agents, whether you're a student or not, I want you to jump on and tell me your goals. Jennifer, what's up? What's up? Hey, we'll see you later, brother. All right, man. So, Jennifer, girl, I've been following your journey slow and steady. Every day you're doing something different, something to build your business. So talk to me. What are some specific goals for this week that you want to hit?
Well, this is my technical first week open, but I've already had my first loan signing. I'm still going.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Let's give her congratulations. Everybody drop her a clapping emojis. She had her very first signing. That is huge. Oh, I wish I give you a hug through here. I'm so proud of you.
Feel it.
I'm so. I know how much work you've put into there, into this to get there. So super duper proud of you. So let's talk about some goals that we want to hit this week and how we can break that down for you.
I'm. I'm still going through my training with you. I'm just through the rest of the. The end of it and the business builder and all that stuff on my. I'm still building my. It's taking me too long. Mark my list of every human being I know on the planet. I'm probably 90 done with that. So my. One of my goals this week is to get that finished. I also am starting to put together a list of or go through the list of signing companies which I've started to sign up for, but I want to start calling. So that's what I want to do this week.
Okay, so let me. Let me slow you down. Okay. I know you're excited. I know, you know, kind of Vaughn, you know what I love about you entrepreneurs and I love being associate with so many of you is like, you know, it's the mentality of like, go, go, go, go. My job, though, as your mentor is kind of bringing the range just a little bit. So, you know, I heard three different things. I heard, you know, you want to sign up with the call the signing service list. You want to make your networking list. I also heard you haven't finished the entire course yet. So the problem is, is when you have three major things, none of them get the time that deserves. So I want you to start knocking those out one by one, not try to do all three at the same time. So what I would like from you this week is actually to stop working on the networking list and to stop working for the signing services list and just finish the course. Okay. I need to get on that one on one mentoring with you. I want to make sure you digest everything. So, but see what time is sometimes the time you put in into building the list for your friends, you're taking away from feeding your brain.
Right.
So I want you just to pause on some of the market building aspects. Just continue with the education. I want to make sure that you understand the script before you actually use it. That's part of the mentorship call.
Yeah.
And. But again, that's why I love about you entrepreneurs. You're like, look for things to happen. I got to make them happen. My job is going to slow down a little bit, pull the reins in. Okay, so what I want is this Thursday. Well, there's that one on one mentorship. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. Okay. I want you to get on on Thursdays. Okay. So that gives you three days to actually finish the course. It gives you three days to go over the scripts, to memorize the script. So when we talk on Thursday, you're like, mark, I get it. I know what I got to do. Because right now you're using like half a playbook to build business, because you haven't. And again, I love that attitude of like, let's go, go, go. I love it. I want to get you direct as soon as possible. But all the direct marketing scripts and everything's in the corset I need to get. So the goal for this week is to actually stop working on the networking list, stop working on the signing service list. Just focus on the course. Let's get through that. Let's jump on a call on Thursday. If you can make Wednesdays Great. I don't want to put too much pressure on you. I don't know what the rest of your day is week looks like, but at least Thursdays. Let's jump on Thursdays at the minimum. So your goal for this week is just to finish the course because remember, an educated notary public loan signing agents are profitable. Notary public loan signing agent. Right. Too often signing agents go out there with half the playbook. Three months later, they're like, well, Mark, I'm confused. While my business isn't that big, and I'm like, you're only using half the plays in the playbook because you almost got too excited. Does that make sense? So remember, the most successful people are always the best students. Focus on the students, focus on the playbook before you start going out and playing football. You know what I mean?
Yeah.
All right, all right, all right. So I will see you. Are you committing to me? I'm gonna see you on Thursday.
Yes, you will.
All right, all right, all right. So get a girl. And then Thursday we'll talk about the calling list, we'll talk about the networking list. All one on one.
Okay.
All right, girl, go get em. Bye. I love it. I love. You know what I love about. But the last two students here is. And I want, if you're out here, if you fall into one of these categories where, you know, there's so much information, you're so overwhelmed with, like, I got new signing services. I got to talk to realtors, I got to talk to loan officers. I still haven't finished this course. What your goal is to take any of those things that you're kind of all over the plate and just start knocking out one by one. Too often we all try to knock out four things at the same time, and nothing really gets knocked out. So if you're right now looking at the course or a course, you're trying to be a study, study and study through this. Remember, just take everything over and turn them into little small categories and just knock them out one by one. Don't try to do all things all the time because you end up doing a lot of them halfway. And that's why you never get the full results that you want. So. But I again, I love you entrepreneurs because we're all like, we're all the same, right? It's like, I got to do this, I got to do that. I got to do this. I get it, I love it. I want it. I want that energy for your marketing side. But in the meantime, just kind of start knocking Things out one by one. All right, so let me get on someone else. I think I. Dave by Dell coming up. Dave by Dell, you are. I'm so glad. If you are a little bit shy to get on here. Put your goals in the comment box. Put yourself accountable to everybody watching right now. You know, these are watched by thousands of people, so put your. Oh, David by Dal. The one and only. What's going on, brother? What's up? Okay, so before we talk about our goals, I want to congratulate you on the 10k club. It took me a minute to get all those out because I'm so busy, but this is the newest member of the $10,000 a month club. Congratulations. I hope you are inspiration to the hundreds or thousands of people watching this. So that is $10,000 in 30 days for everyone out there in New Jersey. If he can do it, you can do it. So even the 10k students need some help setting goals. They need help thinking bigger. So you got the floor, brother. What are plans for this week? Absolutely, my friend. Absolutely. And actually, you touched on something that is exactly my mentality and kind of what Kathy and I are going through, it's the digging wide but not digging deep.
You know, we.
We are really focusing on direct work. So that's our focus. And I'm digging wide, just not digging deep. And I'm wondering. Okay, hit 10k. You said it. Dig deep. And I just got to find ways now to just, you know, kind of, I guess, alleviate the chatter and get into really, the trenches of things and what do I need to do? And what's that next step? And, you know, and then really drill. Well, let me talk to you like I talked to Vaughn, right? And so, you know, I think what we need to focus on when we're digging deep is just building authentic relationship. And so I give you the same advice that I gave Vaughn and especially with you and Kathy is you got to go into an office. Not because you're looking for a signing, but just ask how they're doing. You have to build in more. I want to get to know you time. When I was building my business the way it was, I literally would walk into a title office with no notary bag. I would just walk in bed. Kathy, how was your weekend, man? Oh, was it awesome? Oh, my gosh. This is what I did. And it became authentic. I guess two times I sell on Vaughn is too often, notaries only walk into a title company because they want something in return. It's not an authentic a. How are you doing what's going on? I struggled. Can't drop off bagels, you know, you know, you don't. You're not sitting there passing out business cards into the entire office. And so I think you and Kathy are at the point where your focus should really be bringing true relationships. I know behind the scenes, your cook, right? And so you should maybe invite one of your clients over on Fridays because you're cooking something delicious. That's what I think you guys need to focus more on. It's less of the business and more on the relationships. And for all you. $10,000 notary public loan, signing agents and bonds on his way there, it's. If you realize this is really a relationship business, the business grows itself. And so part of the deeper. Dave is really trying to figure out, how can I let this person know that they're more than money to me. Got it. Whatever that is to you guys. I didn't know. That's different for everybody, right? Maybe it's, you know, going out and getting drinks. Maybe it's cooking dinner. Maybe it's like, you know, both your children the same age and you guys are going to the park. That looks different for everybody. But the point I'm trying to make, man, is I think this next part of your business growth is probably the easiest, and it's getting out of your own way and thinking like, look, it's no longer about the money. It's all about building a relationship. So if I can get you to think like that, I think you guys can scale the 25, 30,000amonth, because that's where the big money is. The big money. That makes sense. So the goal for this week is for you, Dave, is to, like I told Vaughn, be specific with who you want to touch as far as, okay, Monday, I'm going to go into John's office. I'm talking about John's weekend, see if John wants maybe do happy hour at my house because I'm doing Portuguese, whatever, right? And so. But b. Yeah, yeah, I listen, but make sure that you're. But be very strategic maybe Saturdays for another one of your clients that you try to build a relationship with. And so, you know, maybe towards the latter part of the week, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, you know, you strategically hit up a couple of your. Your bigger, better clients and really try to hone in on those deep relationships. Because so many good things come out of those. Those evenings together. It's like, you know, because sometimes I'll hang out, so my clients be like, you know what, Mark? I don't know why, the life of me, Jennifer's not using you yet. I'm like, well, let's make that happen, you know? But you. But really authentic conversation comes out and where the growth of your business really goes, does that mean. Because some of those relationships, they'll be your best salespeople. That makes sense. That makes sense. That. That's it. That's. That's our next step. We've, like, you know, we've reached this point. We've reached that money piece. Now it's dig deeper, build those relationships. And you're right. Just turn it into more of a friendship, less of a business. Right. Ordeal, if you will. That's right. Yeah. And then what? You know what I hope wasn't lost on anyone? I just. I like to think I just dropped a little nugget. Is when you build those authentic relationships, they become your best salespeople. I love that, man. I love that. Did that click, right? Because when they realize that we're authentically friends, now they want to help you. Now it's authentically like, dude, I don't know why Susie's not using you yet. Because they authentically want to help you and your family grow a business. So when you truly build those relationships and it's authentic, they end up being your best salespeople. I hope that wasn't lost on you. So your goal now is to create really deep relationships. So you have, you know, 15 people all trying to promote you within the offices, and you're no longer throwing 50 bucks a Monday on bagels. They're doing it for you for free because now you guys are friends. All right, man. I love it, man. You know, ladies and gentlemen, that's why this man is awesome. I love it. I love it. So your goal, my friend, your goal for this week is to hang out with son, one of your clients, and a friendship format, whether that's coffee on Saturday or over dinner. But really try to. I would start with your most deepest relationship. Right. I wouldn't talk to your one. Your one client who only gives you, like, three signings a month. You're like, yeah, you want to get drinks? You're like, this is weird. But start with, like, your deeper relationship and then kind of move out from there. Fair enough. One this weekend. One. Got it. All right, brother. I'm Vegas in four weeks. Let's go. All right, see you there. All right. I hope everyone enjoyed that. I thought that was really good insight. All right, we're gonna go to Danite. I hope I said that right. It is back to Back to back today goal setting Mondays with a loan signing system. Helping you build a notary public loan signing agent business through holding yourself accountable. Goals that you have for your business id. Tell me how to say your name. How do you say your name?
Denit.
Alright, Denise, where are you from?
I am in San Diego, California.
Oh, it's beautiful weather right now, right Denit?
Excuse me. It's just hot right now.
I'll take hot over cold because it was like May Gray for sure. All right, so Denise, welcome. Talk about your goals for this week and let's get to it.
Well, this week I just want to get through the first portion of the signing system. I just did just, you know, started going through it and I'm to the point where the notary guidelines.
Yeah, love it.
Is where I am right now.
Okay, cool with those this morning. So I was looking at those going.
Huh, that would be me for getting one of the initials.
So I love it. Well, let me just say welcome to the family, Denise. Students, it's welcome or to the family. Comment below. Welcome, welcome. We're all a big notary public loan signing agent family.
Yes, indeed.
Yes. Okay, so here are my goals. Okay, so here are the goals I want for this week. Right. So what I love about you new students is you were gung ho. We want to dive into the to the course. But our body, our minds can only retain about 10 to 15% of whatever we read. See here. So one of the biggest mistakes new new students make is they try to slam the course in three or four days. So what I'd like for you to do is actually set aside two hours a day where it's just nonstop studying and then just relieve yourself, walk up, continue the rest of your day. Because what I don't want is you to slam through the course like Mark. Because sometimes I'll get students. You'll slam the course in three days. Be like Mark. I'm still confused. I'm like, well, because you've never done this before and you only remember 10% of what you just. Right.
Yep. And here's the thing. I've been a notary for over 20 years.
Just a regular every day go out.
And do a signature notary, right?
Yeah.
And thought of doing loan signing way before now, but never really took it seriously. Well, now I have to because I was just laid off. So now and I had the course before I got laid off, but didn't really have the time to do it. No excuse. Now got the time. So I can do this two hours every day and do the study and then rehearse in my head everything that.
I did that morning. That's right.
Or go over it sometime during the day again.
Right.
To make it, I guess stick, for lack of any other word.
Yes, exactly right. So I'm gonna kind of go over there for some advice for you and everyone else who's watching might be a new LSS student or just a new signing agent. Is repetition is the mother of learning. Right. I love that you did that on your own two hours and they keep going over your head what you just learned. And that's how it's going to be sticking your brain better. So just remember too far into studying, like four or five hours, it's impossible to retain that information. Literally impossible. Two hours a day, every day. That's 10 hours. You should get through the course in 10 hours easy. So my point is, you know, instead of trying to get all done by Wednesday, try to get done by the end of the week. Right. By the end of the week you're like, okay, Mark, I get it. Plus you don't want to feel overwhelmed. Sometimes new students are like, oh my gosh, I'm overwhelmed. And you're only overwhelmed because you're putting so much new information in your, in your brain. So over the next two days. So here's my goal for you next week on Tuesday, there's a one on one mentorship. Okay. I want you, I had to set a goal to be on those one on one with me next Tuesday. Okay. That gives you seven days. She you should be able to divide the course up into two three hour study sessions over the next seven days and be plenty ready to get on with me because this time next week or Tuesday next week, I want you start building your business or trying to get and try to start to get signings under your belt. Okay? So two hours a day for the next seven days. That's 14 hours. That's plenty of time. Then get on me with a Tuesday one on one and then after that you're gonna start, you'll be ready. I'll tell you exactly how to go get your first signing. So two hours a day, next seven days and I'll see you next Tuesday, not tomorrow, but a week from tomorrow on the one on one. Does that sound like a good plan?
Sounds like a plan, sir.
All right, guys, go get. I'm so excited. Welcome to the family again. Let's go. All right. I love, I love meeting the brand new LSSD and the veteran signing agent like Dave. There is these are so awesome. You guys get to hear the advice and goals that I give to a $10,000 a month notary public loan signing agent and to a brand new notary public loan signing agent like Denis. These are awesome. If you are here for the first time, welcome. I simply go over goals and help notary public loan signing agents. Whether you're an LSS student or not, it doesn't matter. I am a champion of all signing agents, period. I'm here to help you regardless of your student or not. So next person on is. Let's go with. It's Heiko. Been there for a minute. All right, bye to me. Bye.
Thanks.
All right, you're welcome. All right, so let's get someone else on camera. Denise going to turn her camera off and then we're going to go to I believe it's Dada. Did I say that right? All right, cool, cool, cool. While we're waiting for him or her, I just see your Instagram names. Oh, what's going on, brother?
Hey, what's up, Mark?
What's up, what's up, what's up? Let's go, baby.
I'm good, I'm good.
All right, all right. Glad to be on here with you and your name.
So I'm in Los Angeles right now and my name's Akil.
Akil, nice to meet you, brother. Talk about some goals for this week, man.
All right, so my goal this week is to get 10 direct signings. I've been getting a lot of sign in, service sign ins, and I'm starting to get a little more direct signings. But I do want to build those deeper relationships like you said, to really keep that sustainable, you know?
Love it, I love it. Okay, so let me just kind of get some more back background information to help you set these goals. First, I love that you have a goal of 10 direct signings. Too many notary public loan signing agents don't have a specific number. I love you have a specific number. Okay, so how many different escrow offices are currently giving you direct business tool right now? Perfect. Okay. I love that number. So here's your goal. Here's what? Here's the goal. I want this out. You're going to get to 10. Okay. We're going to dig deeper here, not wider. It's how we're going to get to 10. So you have two different title company. Okay, so here's what I want. I want. So you're going to leverage the fact that someone in some office is currently giving you business. Okay, we're Going to leverage that fact. Okay, Right. So I what I want either today or tomorrow, I want you to walk into your contact and I want you to bring bagels for the entire office. Okay? So I want you to walk into the office, say, hey, I just want to say thank you so much for the business you've given me. Here are some bagels for the entire office. Where should I set them then? You're going to set them down and then you like, hey, do you mind if I walk around, let everybody know the bagels are in the office or the break room? Wherever the. Almost every escrow office has a break room. And so you go around like, hey, I'm a kill. This is bagels and bagels in the break room. Oh, by the way, I'm the notary for Jennifer. So you're using Jennifer as your leverage point. You're using Jennifer, whoever your contact is, you're using Jennifer as the credibility. Does that make sense? So once they realize you're doing business for someone in the office, that's all the credibility they need. Because now you're no longer a, quote unquote, a new notary public loan signing agent. Someone else already uses you. So they're like, if that person, Jennifer, I've been working Jennifer for five years. Whatever. If you're good enough for Jennifer, you're good enough for me. You're gonna use the bagels as an authentic loan signing system. Way to show appreciation for the previous business. But then you're gonna go around to the Cuba, you're gonna ask your contact, you're like, hey, do you mind if I let everybody know there's bagels in the coffee? They're going to say, no, there's no problems. What they're going to say is what I should say. And then your business cards like, hey, bagels are in the break room. I'm a kill with a kill. Signings. The signing agent over for Jennifer. You ever need any signing appointments. But a very soft pitch, not a hard pitch. It's a soft, just like that. 30 seconds. Okay? Any closings? Boom. Use the script in the course. Okay. Make sure, you got to make sure you're giving them bullet points from it. I go over like two or three of the bullet points in the script, not all 15. Okay. It should be a 60 to 90 second pitch. Drop off card roll out and keep doing that around. And then fortunes in the follow up. Okay. Then I want you on the way out to collect those business cards of everyone that you just talked to. The following day, shoot an Email to all of them like hey this is a kill. Hope you enjoyed those bagels a remember and then that's where you use the script then use almost the entire script like a again I'm the Jennifer, I'm the note of Jennifer. Here's why Jennifer uses me and then work the scripting into that email body. Does that make sense?
It does.
It does with both of your clients that you are currently giving direct business and that my friend is how we're help you get to 10 direct science this week.
So so, so here's, here's an issue with one of them is that they don't allow me to actually go into the office so I have to like stand at the door you know work around that.
Okay 100% so you're going to drop it off for the big hey this for the you can doordash it almost might save you a trip. Right. So the concepts the same door dash some bagels. Okay. Or drop off the bagels either or make sure you have everyone's email address in the office. You can get that off of Google or the business cards and then follow up the email the signing agent for Jennifer to let you know that I just dropped off bagels in the break room. You this is the perfect time to use the entire script. So you're using the script in the follow up email. Does that make sense? You're using Jennifer credibility point then also using the script to let them know exactly why you're what makes an LSD student LS student. That makes sense.
Sounds good. Oh absolutely.
Thank you so much Me next week or in the DMs. Let me know how it goes. And you know man, I'm always here for any more advice to give you whatever you need.
Okay yeah we'll do and I'll see you tomorrow on the one on one.
I'll see you then dog.
Later.
All right cool. Let's see who else we got. A kill. I love this so much. Who's been up for a minute? Yolanda. Been there. And then Vasco and Avion or Avalon. Excuse me. So Yolanda you are up next. Welcome to goal setting Mondays where every Monday I help you grow a notary public loan signing agent business through goals and advice on how to go and get that business. No matter where you're at. If you're brand brand new student like a D was or you're a $10,000 month student like oh what up whatever are you.
Hi.
Hi. Okay cool. Let's start with your name and where you're From Go.
My name is Yolanda. I'm from New York, Long Island, New York.
Oh, I hear the accent, girl. All right, well, let's talk about some goals. What are goals for this week?
Okay. I signed up to the databases, and now I'm ready to call the signing services. I'm looking for my first signing. I got a signing last week, and I was scared to death. I didn't even accept. I didn't even deny it. I didn't do anything. I was. I was scared to death.
Okay, well, we're gonna. We're gonna stop there, girl. Okay, we're gonna stop there. So first off, you know, the system works, okay?
Yeah.
Notifications are happening. So, you know, so my point is that's part of the anxiety you can put aside, you know, it's working. All right, now, here's what I need you to remember. Okay? You're amazing.
Thank you.
Say that with me. I am amazing.
Amazing.
You are. Okay? But look, I don't want to come off as cheesy, because here is how you build confidence. This is how you build self belief. You ready?
Okay.
Is you. Because right now, when we don't believe in ourselves, we are telling ourselves a narrative. I'm not good enough. I'm gonna make a mistake. I make an error, I'm never gonna get business again. There's some story in our head that's leading us to the conclusion that we're not ready. Okay? So here's what I need you to do. I need you to change the narrative. But here is where you change the narrative with, are you ready?
Okay.
How many hours do you think you have put into being a notary public loan signing agent? How many hours? Give me 20, 30, 40.
Just give me about 50 hours.
I want you to say that one more time. How many hours?
50 hours.
50 hours. That's what you tell yourself.
Okay?
Does that make sense? So instead of saying, I'm scared to take my first signing because I might make a mistake, you need to tell yourself, this is the narrative. Yolanda, I'm ready for my first signing because I have put 50 hours into my craft.
Okay?
Does that make sense? You're just telling yourself the wrong story. I'm not here to dismiss these other stories. Yes, it is nervous. You've never done this before. Fair enough. So I'm not one of those coaches where, like, ignore those feelings. I'm not saying ignore. What I'm saying is just change the thought. The thought is, you've done 50 hours. That's incredible. Like, why are you Discounting that. Does that make sense?
Yes. Yes.
See, when you say, mark, I've been 50 hours, you're. You smile ear to ear because the moment you start telling yourself the truth is the moment you start believing in yourself. Does that make sense?
Yes. Yes. Yeah.
How much do you care about doing the perfect signing?
I care a lot.
Tell yourself that. Does that make sense? See, when you get that next signing notification, instead of saying, oh, I'm going to make an error, be like, I care so much. That's where I'm going to hit accept. I've put 50 hours into my business. That's why I'm going to hit a hit accept. Does that make sense?
Yes, it does.
The reason that we get nervous and the reason that we get scared is because we're telling ourselves a story that's negative. Start telling us a story that's positive and that's the truth. The truth is this. Girl, you care. The truth is this, you put in 50 hours of your time. The truth is this, you have a loan signing system certification and an NNA certification. You know how many signing agents only have one certification? You don't. So the point I'm trying to make is I'm painting a picture of how amazing you are. And you have to paint this picture for yourself. When we get off this call, you're like, you know what, Mark? I do have the NIH certification. I do have the loan signing system, some certification. I do put 50 hours. My bed is every night. You're probably studying the course in some capacity.
Yes.
Tell yourself that. Does that make sense? Like, start coaching yourself on why you're great instead of coaching yourself on why you're going to mess up. See, I believe you're not going to mess up because you put in 50 hours of effort. That is so much time. Okay, does that make sense? And so there's sometimes the reason positive affirmations don't work. Like, oh, I'm great. It's because there's nothing to back up. I'm great. What I'm trying to teach you is you back up. I'm great with all the things that do make you great. Does that make sense?
Yes.
So instead of saying, I'm great, back up. Why I'm great. I'm great because I put in 50 hours of studying into this business. I am great because I study every single night. I am great because I have two different certifications. That makes sense. Make sure you follow up the affirmation with what makes you great.
Okay?
Okay. Girl, you are great. You are Amazing. You are deserving of this. Let's go. All right, so I'm out of here. I want you to sit with me one more time, though. I'm amazing. Say it.
I'm amazing.
Yes, you are, girl, I. Tell me how your first signing goes as soon as you get it. DM me, okay? Because I want to congratulate and celebrate you. All right.
Okay, thank you.
All right. Hit accept on the next one, Yolanda. Well, all right, bye. Go get him. Be blessed. Oh, my gosh. How awesome is that? And you want to read all the comments? Everyone's rooting for you, girl. All right, let's get someone else on here. I think I said vasco is the next one. Let's do vasco and then avion. I'm sure I'm saying that wrong, girl, but I got you. All right, so, vasco, you've been waiting. Let's do this. Remember, positive affirmations don't work unless you can support them. Oh, my man. What's going on? Hey, how's it going? Oh, dude, I am so good, man. Okay, so say your name and then where are you from? My name is Tim. I'm from Sacramento, California. Oh, Tim. What's up? Just real small fact. Are you ready? Yes, sir. I'm from placerville. That's right. That's right around the corner in the house. That's right about 45 minutes out of sacramento. For everyone else who asked, I'm wondering why I said that. All right, Tim, man, talk to me, bro. Where we are? Where are we in the process? And let's talk some goals. I just passed the LSS certification with the 96 first time. Oh, wow. Wow. Let me just tell you this real quick to make you feel really good about yourself. Only 40% of students pass it the first time. So, my man, let's go. All right, cool. So you just passed it. Have you finished the entire course yet? Where are we on that process? I'm at 50%. So I just passed the certification and I'm going on to the marketing and the perfect dining services and everything else. Perfect. Okay, so here's my goal for you. Almost the same goal that I believe was denit that I told earlier is I just want you to finish the course. Don't necessarily start. So just do the course as you see. But I don't want you to gung ho yet on hitting up all the realtors and do all the marketing. I just get through it. Talk to me on Tuesday. That or maybe even Thursday if you can get through It, But I don't want you to race through it. But we have a one on one mentorship. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. So if I can get you on Thursdays, we can start building your business on Friday. Okay, but I don't want you. Here's what I don't want you to do. I don't want you getting so gung ho that you're just trying to slam through the course to try to divide up the next 50% over the next three or four days. And then let's get on that, let's get on that webinar together, the one on one. And then by Friday you should hopefully try to get signings over the weekend. Okay, well, also what I want from you though is are you part of the Northern California Facebook group? Yes, I am. Okay, cool. So I want to give you a goal and I want everybody else to hear me. That's on this goal. Okay? So Tim, too many new notary public loan signing agents. Go at this business by yourself. There's no reason, bro. Especially Northern California where we have a huge network. So you're part of that Facebook group. Lisa to Sadri is in Roseville. We have so many big hitters. Le cedra is a 20,000 month student in Sacramento. My point is, you should be reaching out to these other students and they, hey, let me take you out to coffee. Can we meet? Because what you want to do is I kind of start creating a little mini network because there's going to be some moments where you're like, I just wish I had someone that I could call in Sacramento to talk through the situation. Okay, but what I want to coach you on those. What I don't want from you, Tim, is just being like, hey, I'm looking for a mentor in Sacramento. What I want to teach you right now is what is something of value that you can give somebody? I saw that your Instagram name is Vasco Visuals. What is that? Oh, that's my little drone side gig. Okay, my point, is there something of value you can switch to somebody? You know what I mean? Yeah, because that's what I want you to bring. Right? It's like, maybe someone has a realtor friend that you're like, hey, Laura, you know, if you're new realtor friends, maybe I'll give them a free drone footage. You know, can we meet up for coffee? My point is learn how to really exchange value. That's a big loan signing system thing. Learn how to bring value that so Laura will want to spend time with you because maybe there's something you can do for one of her clients. Does that make sense? That makes sense. Yeah. Exchange value. But do Laura. She owns a signing service, by the way. I guarantee she can give you business right out of the gate. So that's someone you want to befriend, but don't just be like, hey, Lord's me for coffee. Does that make sense? Yeah, yeah, yeah. What? Can you exchange value? I hope everyone is hearing me on that. So figure out how you can give value to Laura. I need Sacramento. We have a ton of Sacramento students. We like so many that are making money, but make sure that you. You reach out. Exchange value. So by the end of the week, I want two goals. I want to see you on the Thursday one on one. I then want to see you try to reach out to someone in the Sacramento group that you can just start bouncing ideas off, like, hey, girl, what's working? What's not working? Someone in your local market that's just as important as the. As my course. Does that make sense? So you miss that group. All right, bro, so I'm gonna see you Thursday and set that. And get a mentor within the Sacramento region. Okay. All right. All right. Go, Kings. Let's go. All right. How's it going? Thank you. Hopefully I'll see you on Thursday. I will. Who's up next? Avalon, I think you're up next. Boom. And look, we have a Facebook group and the country. Texas every. What's up, girl?
Hey, Mark. How's it going?
Good, good. Good God. Oh, my God. I get so juice talking to you students. My Monday is amazing. How's your Monday going?
Pretty good. Stopped by title office this morning and wanted to jump on here because I have a. I guess you could say an office visit with the title office through a development sales person. So not escrow. Yeah, but yes. I'm kind of in the same boat with every. Everybody here, too, getting sidetracked with all of the things in the business. Yes, that's my priority this week.
Okay, cool. What, were you living in Fresno? Okay, cool. So you're talking. Yes. So basically, we're called sales reps. So here's some. Here's some advice on this. Okay? So a sales rep can lead you to the eo. So here's a quick education for everybody. It's why these are amazing. So it goes. The escrow officer sits here. The sales rep is the one who goes out and talks to realtors and lenders, and they get the business to give the escrow officers. All right, so that's your Officers has their subset of clients, but they also grab clients from sales reps. So the sales reps have very good relationships with escrow officers. There's usually an escrow officer or two that they kind of funnel all their business to. Does that make sense? So when you're talking to the venom sales, which is basically a long word for sales rep, sales representative for a title company, you want to let them know, like, look, you're out there selling your title company, you should be selling that. You also have the best notaries in town. You know, use the script to let him know. So the script also works in their favor of why they should keep you on the team and why they should pass your number to the escrow. So your goal is to get them to refer you via email to the escrow officer. That's the goal of the meeting with the sales rep. They don't have the business to give you, but they have a phenomenal relationship that you can leverage. Does that make sense? So for everybody who's right now out there trying to market to sales reps, the sales rep might not have the business, but they can refer you to the people that they give business to, which is escrow. Does that make sense? Cool. So. Oh, but what I want, what I want also to coach you on right now. And I hope everyone just heard what I just coached her on there. But first off, I hope everyone's inspired that you. It's 12 o' clock and you already marketed direct this morning. It's like Monday at 12. Can we all drop her like a fire emoji in the comments below? Because that is somebody who's building a business. I'm so proud of you. Right? So, so proud of you. Okay. So. But I don't want you to forget those. You've been doing some marketing last week if I remember correctly.
Yes.
So what I don't want you to forget is fortunate is in the follow up. And I hope you see all these images. Everyone's dropping you the fire energy girl rooting for you. But what I want you to do this week though, okay. Is to remember you're. You have so many marketing or's in the, in the, in the lake right now that we almost forget that we need to go back and follow up. Okay. So this week I want you to really focus on the follow ups of the people you did last week. Okay. Because remember, you know, here's my best analogy. How long did it take? Did it take you be honest until you saw me for the first time. How many days or Weeks or months did it take before you're like, I'm taking Mark's course. What's that answer?
Probably at least three months.
Okay, three months, which, by the way, is normal. Okay, There are people in here watching right now, some about my course. But the point I'm trying to make is this is. That's normal. You needed more research on me. You needed to hear from me more. So what do you think? The people that you marketed to last.
Week need hear from me more.
That makes sense. And it's not a knock against me that you didn't buy my course the first time. So my point is it's not a knock against you. They haven't called you back yet. Does that make sense? Too much, too often, new notary public loan signing agents are like, well, haven't they called me yet? Something must be wrong with me. Nothing's wrong with you. Just like nothing's wrong with me that it took you three months, does that make sense? So I don't want you getting discouraged is a point I'm trying to make. I hope everyone hears me on that. It's funny because when I ask you that question, girl, some people like, took me five months, Took me four months. Took me three months. But that's normal, though. That's what I'm trying to coach everybody on. But I don't want that lost on you. Does that make sense? Don't let it lost on you that they may need to hear from you. So sometimes new notary public loan signing agents like you are always, go, go, go on. New, new, new people. When the old people you market, you just need to hear from you a couple more times. Does that make sense? So don't get discouraged that they didn't call you back yet. Okay? It might take you two, three or four weeks. So be it. But that's why we market, right? You should have so many different people you're marketing to that you have a lot of different people within the marketing funnel. That makes sense. Does that make sense? Does that follow? You follow me on that? Cool. So your goal for this week is to make sure that you follow with everyone. Last week. Remember what I teach you. Students follow once a week. Cadence is appropriate. So whoever hit up last week, hit up this week. Once a week is appropriate. Cadence to follow what people you've always followed up with people will say, mark, what do I say the next time? What you said the first time, that is it. Okay, so use the script again. Just you use the script last week. Use the script again. Remember the Script has like, what, 15 bullet points in it, more or less. If you use four of the bullet points last week, use three of the new bullet points this week, but basically you're saying the same thing. Does that make sense?
Got it.
Yeah. Okay, so your goal for this week is to follow up with every single person did last week, ideally face to face at the minimum via email. And then remember with your sales rep meeting today, get them to leverage you to this. So sound educational. Be like, hey, I know you have escrow officers that you funnel business to. The reason I think you should refer me to those is because you. I know I can't say the script over the Instagram because that is for you students, but, you know, let them know when you say, because use the script and be like, hey, this is why you should refer me. But they're a really good source because if the person that gives the escrow officer business refers you, that comes with so much legs. Do you know what I mean? All right, get it, girl. Follow me next week. Tell me how it goes.
Awesome. Thank you, Marc.
All right, you're welcome. Appreciate you. Bye. Oh, my gosh. I hope everyone's. Today has been so much coaching on top of setting goals. I hope you guys are appreciating this. I appreciate you guys so much for following the loan signing system page. And for some of you still haven't bought my course. That's okay. I'm gonna do whatever I can do to help you build your business that you're like, hey, Laura, you know, if you're new realtor friends, maybe I'll give them a free drone footage. You know, can we meet it for coffee? My point is learn how to really exchange value. That's a big loan signing system thing. Learn how to bring value that so Laura will want to spend time with you because maybe there's something you can do for one of her clients. Does that make sense? That makes sense. Yeah. Exchange value. But do Laura. She owns a signing service, by the way. I guarantee she can give you business right out of the gate. So that's someone you want to befriend. But don't just be like, hey, Lord's me for coffee. Does that make sense? Yeah. What can you exchange? I hope everyone is hearing me on that. So figure out how you can give value to Laura. Any Sacramento. We have a ton of Sacramento students. We like so many that are making money, but make sure that you reach out exchange value. So by the end of the week, I want two goals. I want to see you on the Thursday 101. I then want to see you try to reach out to someone in the Sacramento group that you can just start bouncing ideas off. Like, hey, girl, what's working? What's not working? Someone in your local market that's just as important as the. As my course. Does that make sense? So you miss that group? All right, bro. So I'm gonna see you Thursday and set that. And you can get a mentor within the Sacramento region. Okay? All right. All right. Go, Kings. Let's go. All right. How's it going? Thank you. Hopefully I'll see you on Thursday. Who's up next? Avalon, I think you're up next. Boom. And look, we have a Facebook group and of the country, Texas, every. What's up, girl?
Hey, Mark. How's it going?
Good, good, good. Oh, my God. I get so juice talking to you students. My Monday is amazing. How's your Monday going?
Pretty good. Stopped by title office this morning and wanted to jump on here because I have a. I guess you could say an office visit with the title office through a development sales person. So not escrow?
